nothing can describe how proud i am of this uconn team like actually.
so what we lost 5 players? so what our bench is only 3 deep? foul trouble early in the game with our starters? no problem.
i was actually shaking that whole game and i’m in tears rn😭😭
no matter what happens in the final four i am so proud and amazed at everything they do and i’ve never been prouder to be a uconn fan💙💙

idk how march madness works lol so does that mean iowa and sc are playing each other first?
hi!! no worries at all let’s take a look at the t16 bracket skeleton they revealed
okay so how this works is all the teams you see here are top 16 teams (why gonzaga is here is beyond me) but they’re either a 1 seed, 2 seed, 3 seed, or 4 seed. there’s 64 teams in total going into this tournament, but the rounds of 64 and 32 are going to be hosted by the 1-4 seeds. so scar, iowa, texas, uconn, and all the other schools up here will be hosting the first and second rounds of the tournament.
after that we move to the sweet sixteen and elite 8, and the sweet 16 is where iowa and scar should hit each other as long as they both make it out of the first two rounds (most likely, they will)
this is what the sweet 16 “should” look like but we all know that upsets and early exits do and will happen. the sweet 16 and elite 8 are hosted in seattle/albany, and those are labeled on the bracket so you can see which schools are in which region.
then, the regional champs head to the final 4 in cleveland?? i believe but it’s honestly super simple and once they fill in the rest of the teams before the tournament starts you’ll see the pretty basic bracket system as we work our way through the tournament.
hope that helped!!

i will never understand the hate hailey van lith is getting right now.
yes her defense and overall performance was bad and it definitely had an impact on lsu losing, but there’s no reason for her to be getting dragged like this.
everybody is suddenly forgetting how AMAZING of a player she is, and one bad season/game isn’t going to ‘ruin her basketball career’.
i will say this though, i wish she would’ve stayed at louisville. i can see why she transferred to lsu, but just because they won a national championship doesn’t mean you should drop everything and go to them. and i know there were probably a ton of other reasons for her to enter the portal and go there, but still. she was amazing at louisville and even though they weren’t winning championships and stuff (she did carry them to the final four though) she was still their star player and had such an impressive career there.
on another note though, all this attention is so good for the women’s basketball world but i’ll talk about that on another post.
either way, i just feel really bad for her and hope she isn’t taking all this negative attention to heart. i really love and admire her and she’s one of my favorite players so i truly hope she continues playing (especially in college).

What does selection sunday mean? It is televised?
selection sunday is essentially when the march madness bracket is released! we find out who the teams in the tournament are, as well as seeding and who is going to be hosting the first couple rounds :)
the men’s is televised on cbs at 5 CST (i think) and the women’s is on ESPN at 7 CST (but check me on those times)
