relationships with abusive parents are always difficult to manage, but the death of an abusive parent is especially unique. kendall roman and shiv haven't had a solid good conversation with their father in weeks, but they still love him. he's terrible to them in every way, constantly pits them against each other, but they still love him. they fight and they've been intentionally screwing him over, but him actually dying is something else entirely. the confusion of it all—knowing that your final interactions with him were full of insults, knowing that he made your life hell like nobody else, knowing that he was the man who raised you and comforted you—and now he's gone. you're sad and angry and relieved and you're numb to it all.

Day 7

Free-day (Out of order and late) Alenoah as Sherlock/Moriarty.

I like it when two characters play mind games and scheming against or with each other.

I didn`t plan to create an AU, but – my rant and bits of literature/character analysis (The Vision). Also, draw concept sketch.

Noah (Detective Sherlock Holmes). I mean, they're both geniuses, introverts who don't care about social opinion and some versions depicted him as being good with dogs. In Victorian England, I totally see Noah opening a detective agency, because you either go working on a plant or you might use your geniuses’ intelligence to solve crimes, like game puzzles, and make monies to pay bills and buy new books because in 1800 many books were expensive and produced in small quantities.

Plus! I might look at this too far, but I think the Sherlock and Watson analogy was implemented in London episode when they strip team Chris just to Noah and Owen for investigation.

Owen (Dr. Watson). Basically in the original books, Watson plays the role of the guy, your typical visual novel MC, well narrator, who has character, but his whole purpose is just to be a witness to detectives doing, asking questions for the audience. This leads to usually representing Watson as either annoyed with Sherlock's antics or (usually in kids' media) naïve but with good intentions because of this simplification, to show his kindhearted nature in cartoons and caricatures he is portrayed as chubby, which is what we need! But all of them did service in the Anglo-Afghan War, even Disney version mentioned it. (Also if you want to do Nowen version of Jhonlock I don`t mind, sure go for it)

Alejandro (professor Moriarty). Do I really need to explain? Both archvillains in their stories. Professor, respected in society for his talent and achievements, wealthy, but behind all of that façade he`s "Napoleon of crime". He doesn’t usually do crimes himself but rather, schemes, orchestrates the events, or provides the plans that will lead to a successful crime, like paying money to a court so that someone can be released from prison.

Heather (Irene Adler). OK, in the original books (all books written not by Arthur Conan Doyle are basically fanfics) her character and Sherlock don`t date (But if you like, it`s fine). She was more like “I know what you are” towards him.  I want to base it more on Warner Bros Sherlock where Irene works with Moriarty, but they also try to get rid of each other. She is also famous for blackmailing royals, If it isn`t most Heather thing I don`t know what is.

Eva (Mrs. Hudson). The landlady. I think it would be funny, she yelling at them to pay their bills in time.

"Noah did nothing wrong"

He did something wrong. Actually, he did multiple things wrong. He shared propaganda and debunked lies to his million of followers. He helped to dehumanize Palestinians by spreading those lies to the point that his racist remarks were shared by the occupation that has been very vocal about their intent of destroying every piece of Palestinian life and culture. He supported Amy Schumer after Martin Luther King's daughter Bernice called her off for using her father to defend her racism and hatred towards Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims. He sided with Ben Shapiro about endorsing the genocide of Palestinians, even if he's one of the biggest bigots and homophobes in USAmerica.

And this is only a tiny percentage of the things he has done wrong in the last months. The Pinkwashing and Islamophobic for Noah brigade can try to infantilize him all they want, deflect all they want and ignore the context surrounding his like to that awful post and the stickers he helped to spread but it doesn't change the facts and the facts say that he's racist, islamophobe, homonationalist, zionist and a privileged white cis man.

World Tour Assistant Noah AU (where he is always an assistant):

After the gross kiss failed to stop Alejandro's flirting... Noah begs Duncan to convince Alejandro, that Noah is too dorky to date... but Duncan has an even better idea; make Alejandro jealous for fun!

(In this AU, Duncan and Courtney had broken up before Season 3, so Duncan isn't a cheater!)

Duncan: "Thanks for letting me return to the show, handsome.~" 😘

(Duncan kisses Assistant Noah's cheek.)

Alejandro: "Duncan, I will DESTROY you!" 😡

Noah: "I just want to be left alone!" 🙄

Wait hold on... hold on... this is just the premise of my favourite Dunnoah fic series but with an assistant Noah twist. And extra Alenoah flavouring. That's not to say I'm against the idea.

Though I can't really imagine Duncan ever committing himself to flirting with Noah unless the two had struck up a deal prior- Duncan's that specific brand of 2000s era bigoted where being seen as anything but straight is a social crime (despite the fact that Duncan is definitely a boykisser, just in denial), but he's also aware of just how much of a threat Alejandro is in the competition and the latino's huge obvious crush on Chris' personal assistant, so I think Duncan could push aside his own internal biases to at the very least propose a similar idea to Noah.

Really, it'd be beneficial for the both of them; Noah gets to subtly-not-so-subtly tell Alejandro to back off by responding to Duncan's advances but not his, and Duncan gets to rile up Alejandro enough to redivert his attention away from the competition itself thus increasing his own chances of winning. It's strategic, really, nothing more.

It's that line of logic that has Noah eventually conceding that, for all intents and purposes, it's a good plan. So he deigns to play along, at least for a little bit, just to get Alejandro off of his back.

And, canonically, they're both shown to be at least half-decent at flirting, so whatever displays they have planned to annoy Alejandro would be just convincing enough to really get under his skin. Especially since Alejandro's shown in canon to be the protective/possessive type (mostly in All-Stars, in how he reacts to José insulting Heather) and likely wouldn't take too kindly to Duncan swooping in on "his amor" or whatever Spanish nickname he'd substitute it with.

Which all eventually leads to the scenario you proposed; Duncan plants a wet one on Noah's cheek and Alejandro sees red.

Noah's already exhausted by default, but feels weariness seep into the marrow of his bones as a seething Alejandro glares poisonous daggers towards Duncan, who's committed enough to their little ruse to in turn shoot a wink and a pair of finger guns towards the assistant. Deciding that he isn't paid nearly enough to deal with the inevitable confrontation between the two idiots who've apparently taken an interest in him (Duncan's, of course, being a known ruse), Noah leaves to go and do his actual job.

...

And then, Alejandro confronts Duncan directly in the Economy cabin, claiming that he doesn't deserve to so much as look at Noah, and that he (Alejandro) was the one Noah kissed and therefore the object of his attraction so Duncan better lay off. This is news to the punk, and adds a whole new layer of complexity to their plan. And perhaps something he can later exploit to give himself a leg up in the competition.

But why does the idea of Noah kissing Alejandro make his chest tighten up with envy?

And then maybe Duncan finds the untamed passion of Alejandro's genuine fury kind of hot and he too enters the metaphorical boxing ring of feelings? Aledunnoah endgame? The intern server has been posting a lot of Aleduncan lately so letting those two get together (and with Noah in there too, as a bonus) just seems natural to my brain at this point.

i don't think shiv and kendall recognize the abuse they went through—or at least, they don't recognize the extent of it. they always use the abuse that connor and roman went through when they're trying to bring their dad down, but they never bring up the abuse they faced.

roman and connor's abuse is much more clear than kendall and shiv's. roman was physically abused by their father and connor is constantly ignored by him, sometimes even going months without talking to him. but kendall and shiv faced abuse, too. all of the siblings faced emotional neglect from their father, all of them were pitted against each other, all of them were put down by him and belittled. that is abuse. and all of them faced it!

but i think kendall and shiv can't recognize that. they can't recognize that they were abused, that they are traumatized by growing up with the father they did. because of this, they only point out connor and roman's abuse when they want to get something from their father, but they never point out their own. they utilize their sibling's trauma even after it's made clear that roman and connor don't want that to happen. but it's the only angle that kendall and shiv have—as far as they're concerned, they weren't abused. sure, maybe they had a rough childhood and maybe their father wasn't perfect to them, but they weren't abused like roman and connor were. they didn't get trauma from their father.

so they utilize roman and connor's abuse. they objectify it, use it as a tool to hurt their father. they use it as a shield, as a way to continue their own denial about their abuse. their father wasn't bad to them like he was to roman and connor, so surely that means they're fine. they point out connor and roman's abuse, even at the expense of connor and roman, because they fail to point out their own abuse.

She stood there, crying softly as blood ran down the sink. She couldn't stop herself from thinking about it. Considering how it would feel to die. She felt like Adam and Eve, tempted by the snake. The promise of peace in the forbidden, that only gives you hell. 'Jokes on them,' she thought. 'Life is already hell.' She looked at the pocket knife she kept in her pants. The blade needed to be cleaned. Dried blood caked up on it, from all the other times. People knew she suffered. But nobody cared to help. Nobody knew how. So quietly, she creeps back to her room. She has everything prepared to do it. Notes stacked neatly on the desk, rope tied, and a place to set it up. All she had to do was hang the rope up. She carefully sits down, pulling up her sleeves. One cut. Two cuts. Three. It turns to twenty. To fifty. Until blood is rushing and pooling beneath her, staining the soft carpet that screamed childlike innocence. She left her sleeves up as she placed a stool under the hook. She reaches for the rope and places it over the hook. She steps up onto the stool and smiles. "Only a few minutes until peace." She whispers quietly. She looks out the window, admiring the moon and how beautifully it shines. She takes one last look at the clock, the time reading 12:27am. She smiled softly before placing the rope around her neck. She took a deep breath, counted to 10, and kicked the stool. Everything felt heavy and uncomfortable. Her head felt like it was going to explode, tears streamed down her face, and yet... she still smiled. Her body soon began to lose feeling. She felt it leave. Her body finally went limp, her eyes closed, and her lips etched into a smile. Finally, it was over.
