May 5: “Be patient, for what was written for you was written by the greatest of writers” They say the journey is often just as important as the destination but journeys are all different. #lesson5 is one I’m still learning and coming to terms with every day. Templates are great for word and excel documents but not so much for life. Everyone’s timeline goes at its own pace and on its on path. Although it’s sometimes terrifying when you’re not going the same pace or on the same path as those around, you it’s so important to remember to enjoy the stage that you are at in life. Too often, we are waiting for the next stage, the next big event or the next great achievement. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fantastic to have something to look forward to and work towards but don’t forget to take a moment to enjoy your teens, twenties, thirties and so on. Don’t forget to enjoy your single stage, your dating stage, your married stage and so on. We all understand and are extremely aware of the natural progressions of life but there are so many different types of progress. Just because you graduated high school doesn’t mean you’re going to college. Just because you graduated college doesn’t mean you’re going to come out with a job. Just because you got married doesn’t mean you’re going to have kids. I’m 25, single and still “finding myself” or maybe just creating myself. And that’s okay. I’m learning to be content and at peace with where I’ve been, where I am, and where I’m going because everything happens for a reason and at the right time for me & for you.
