author’s note: Hello everyone, It’s been a while since I posted a work, so I hope you guys will like this. The songs of Dreane inspire it. Please check them out—Credit to my friends who helped and motivated me to write this story.

One thing Hyeju did growing up was barely show her emotions to the people surrounding her, making them misunderstand and have no idea what her true feelings were all the time.

But of course, her family and closest friends are excluded from those people.

She is often taken for granted whenever she tries to express her feelings. For her, it wasn't hard to act like this

This misunderstanding causes them to make decisions ahead without asking her opinions. "It's very out of your character." or "Because I thought you were like this." Those are the things she often hears from other people. It's a shame they'll jump to conclusions and do things they thought she was "unable" to do.

She badly wants to grow out of this character.

Hyeju went home to their home country to continue her studies.

“Finally, Home” she murmured.

“The place that gives me comfort.

It is a place where I can be the real me.

And brings the best out of me.”

Time passed by pretty quickly

Days became a week, and weeks became months

Indeed, many things have taken place since Chaewon happened.

Hyeju still remembers the first interaction between the two of them. She seems like a calm person. Everything that Chaewon loves to do is also Hyeju's interest. They always vibe together, thus the start of their friendship. It's not surprising that they both start showing their love for each other; it is a slow burn. There's a saying, "slow burn love takes time to grow," but theirs did not. Maybe because they were meant to be together, but they did it wrong. Neither of them dared to talk about their growing love for each other, which made the other one to move on about it.

Hyeju still cannot believe that she's gone this far. These past few weeks got out of hand, especially Chaewon. She didn't know what and how it happened, but one thing was for sure, it was not the same as before. What made Hyeju pissed a lot was that Chaewon was silent about what was going on, which made her suffocated in her thoughts and confused for weeks until the present day.

The real thing is that she is aware.

Hyeju isn’t dumb not realize what is happening. She is just afraid to admit it to herself.

Because of her old habit, Hyeju struggles to admit her true feelings to other people. It’s hard for her to show her genuine side, so she chooses to do it slowly. However, in the process of her doing it, she lost her.

She lost Chaewon

That’s when she realized everything she never wanted before to be lost again.

Hyeju only wanted someone once Chaewon came. She made her realize that she needed those things that Chaewon did to her.

Maybe too late to save the "something" between them

But not too late to save herself from her own suffocating thoughts

Hyeju drove three hours away from the town on her motorcycle. Looking at the calmness of the sea made her thoughts subside for a minute. She admires the sunrise that she doesn’t want to see again.

She brought a cigarette to her lips and lit it up, a perfect breakfast during these times.

That day Hyeju couldn't function at all. After she went home from her ride, she didn’t do anything the whole morning.

The silence in her room can make an average person deaf, but not for Hyeju. Her thoughts are deafening. She threw the box of cigarettes in her bin before opening another box. Her anxiety was displayed on the number of cigarettes she consumed that morning.

After taking one last hit on a cigarette, Hyeju messaged Chaewon if they could meet in the nearby park. Not long after, Chaewon replied.

"Sure"

She confessed.

Hyeju said all of the things she wanted to say, from her confusions to her feelings towards Chaewon without expecting her to reciprocate it.

Because she knew. She knew that Chaewon likes someone else now, and it's not her.

And also, they both knew they were not like they were before. They may not say it, but a lot has changed. Chaewon changed.

After that, Hyeju felt at ease. A peace of mind is suddenly served to her.

A peace of mind that even a ton of cigarettes and long drives cannot match.

Hyeju gave her a regretful smirk, as Chaewon spoke to her with a whiff of sadness in her voice. These feelings were evident in her voice when Chaewon said she had previously liked Hyeju

Nodding her head, Hyeju told her it was fine.

which is obviously not.

A week after what happened in the park, many things had changed. Hyeju slowly distances herself to Chaewon to give her space and also she is afraid to make the latter uncomfy.

That week, Hyeju caught a flu. She visited the hospital, where the doctor examined her and gave her prescription medication to help her feel better. But soon after, she started to develop bruises on various parts of her body. She also gets tired quickly.

It's 3 am, and Hyeju's head is killing her. She can't move because of this pain. Her cousin, her roommate, was awakened by her grunts and the pain escaping her lips. Minutes go by, and Hyeju can't seem to notice that she's falling asleep. The rage and regret radiate in their room, cold and empty, just like what she feels right now.

That morning, she woke up in the white room surrounded by her family. By their expression, Hyeju knows something is up and serious.

She was diagnosed with leukemia.

One thing’s for sure; she doesn’t want to undergo therapy. However, her family is persistent.

Hyeju stopped studying after discharge from the hospital and returned to her family's home, where she locked herself in her chilly room. The only times Hyeju was spotted in their home were at lunch and dinner.

Her mother has been highly concerned about Hyeju's recent behavior. Her daughter requires immediate medical attention, but she consistently refuses. Hyeju has already informed her family that she does not want anyone to know about her condition. Still, due to Hyeju's stubborn nature, her mother has asked Chaewon for help persuading her to seek treatment.

As soon as Chaewon learned that Hyeju had leukemia, she texted the taller girl immediately to receive nothing, neither on read. She tried to call her nonstop, but it appeared that Hyeju's phone was turned off.

Chaewon left with no other choice than to go to Hyeju's house.

A knock on Hyeju's door one afternoon startled her out of sleep. Since her parents and siblings were at work that day, she was unsure who it was. The unexpected guest pushed Hyeju to freeze as she opened the door.“C-chaewon? Why are you here?” Hyeju questioned, her tone indicating her surprise.

Instead of receiving a reply, she received a warm and tight hug from the other girl. She almost lost her balance by this sudden action, hence she hugged her back.

Hyeju misses this moment. She misses having her close by.

Where she felt safe and sound.

“You lost a lot of weight, Hyeju.” Chaewon started after they settled down in Hyeju’s bed.

“Yeah, I know.” The other girl responded in a mellow tone.

Chaewon looked at her and studied her face. Hyeju’s lips are dry and her face is very pale.

“You should get a treatment, Hyeju.” the girl started, trying to persuade Hyeju.

Chaewon didn’t stop until Hyeju agreed to have chemotherapy. Hyeju listened to her carefully and began to consider treatment.

She wants to do it not because of herself, but because of Chaewon.

She understands that, even as a friend, she still wants to be with her. She still desires to see her and speak with her. Because Chaewon is her peace, she becomes her will to survive in this chaotic world.

After hours of talking and persuading, It’s time for Chaewon to go home.

“I’ll send you home.” Hyeju used to say things like this regularly, but due to the current circumstances, Chaewon is worried about the other girl.

“You don’t have to, Hyeju. It’s better if you stay at home and rest.” Chaewon said in her soft voice.

“Chaewon, please. After this, I promised that I will start my chemotherapy.” persistence is visible in Hyeju's voice.

Chaewon simply regarded the woman's gaze and nodded in agreement to send her home.

Not so long after, they both got into the car and took their way to Chaewon’s house.

Hyeju opened the door of her car for Chaewon and she hugged her for the last time.

“Keep your promise, Hyeju. We have to see each other again.” Chaewon smiled at her bitterly after removing her arms around the taller girl.

“Don’t worry, I will.” Hyeju smiled one last time before nodding her head and driving away to Chaewon’s house.

She felt more motivated now after she met her.

Hyeju is all by herself again on this cold night.

She discovers while lost in thought that she is still interested in Chaewon. The only medication or treatment she requires right now is Chaewon.

A new motivation to keep going is served to her.

“I am not late, right?” she murmur to herself

A deep sigh left her lips before she felt a huge impact making her car thrown meters away.

Hyeju got struck by the truck she failed to see coming her way.

She grunts as she tries to open her eyes. Hyeju realized she and her car were upside down.

A sudden pain on her head and body made her close her eyes.

For the last time, Hyeju didn’t seem to notice that she’s falling asleep.

Falling asleep without assurance of waking up tomorrow.

Sadly, She’s late.

Late to turn things around

There are two that I can think of which basically made me started writing on this website.

That is perhaps one of the most creative and saddest stories I had ever read on this website. Maybe people just taboo of writing their kpop favs having illnesses or God forbid, passing away, but this one crossed the line and it delivered.

@yieldtotemptation - EXPERIMENTS ft. Winter

My God is this a banger. Character development? In a smut? Storylines without awkward cursing? 9k words? This is a must read for all, even if you don't really know Aespa, which I don't.

thoughts on choevi?

Based on their vlives and interactions, I would say they are great pals and genuinely care about each other. They are so comfortable with each other and their smiles and laughter are absolutely genuine, viewers and fans can see that too.

As for the trilogy, I don't think Choerry would try to disrupt ViVi's personal love life (unlike Yeojin). I try to write stuff that is at least a *bit* plausible to their personalities shown on camera. Like, I can't envision a scene where Choerry tries to snatch ViVi's boyfriend away, it doesn't match her personality, it's too far-fetched.

So yeah, Choerry will remain uninvolved in this current trilogy, but in the future I'm sure they will have their own duo series!

Unraveled Secrets - Episode 2 (ft. Yeojin)

They say time is just a perception. If you are doing something you like, it will flow by faster, and vice versa. Waiting is an arduous process, a slow torturing method designed to push your mind and patience to its absolute limits. If things going your way is like a 100 meter dash, then waiting is like a marathon. It’s the pain of going through it.

-7 days till scheduled trip-

“One week.” Kahei murmured.

Your first date in real life. 7 days left. Painful.

Unlike Chuu, who is allegedly booked full until 2054, Kahei had some free time to spare. Usually she would spend her time painting art pieces, hosting V Live from time to time, or just hanging out with other unoccupied members. But now, all she can think of is that day. THAT special first date you two are going to have. Kahei cannot stop herself from overthinking about every single aspect of it. Where should we go? What will we be doing together? And also…what is Yeojin planning anyways? As soon as she thought about that, Yeojin’s words echoed inside Kahei’s brain.

“We’ll have a threesome together unnie! We’ll be fucking all day and all night long! Isn’t it what you asked for?”

Her ears turned red. Her face turned crimson. Her heart was pounding stronger than before. Even her kidneys are pounding, for some reason.

This piqued up Choerry’s interest, so she decided to get to the bottom of this. But to do that, she must rescue Kahei from her own world and bring her back to reality. Choerry asked Kahei if she could join her V Live session, as she needed someone to teach her Cantonese and engage with foreign fans.

Kahei is always the quiet one in the bunch. Surrounded by high energy girls every single waking moment is tough for her. If Yerim is like a ball of sunshine, Kahei is definitely like a cool breeze at night.

She is known for being the sweet, collective and dorky mat-nae, who would make you seaweed soup as breakfast, but yells at you to clean the dishes if she ever spot one dirty utensil in the sink. That is the Kahei we all know and love.

But being the only foreigner in the group, there are a lot of unknown secrets before her debut. Everything about her past was supposed to be a secret, tucked away into her own mind palace, and she would do anything to protect her most previous moments in life. But that is all about to change.

After a painful and excruciating annual dinner at BBC, LOONA went back to their infamous loonathedorm and finally catch a break.

Hyunjin is annoying Heejin and begging for her attention, Yeojin is taking selfies with some obscure background she managed to find and Olivia Hye is still picking out cotton from her clothes from that explosion incident. You know, just a normal day in loonathedorm.

Irritated by the noise, Kahei grabbed her phone and locked herself in the toilet to minimize the noise pollution. She took a big breath, and beginning to type on her phone rapidly with her skilled fingers. You would have thought that she texted one of the members to express her frustration pent up the entire day, but you would be wrong.

"Oppa, I'm stressed out again today…"

"Kahei-ya, it's okay to blow some steam out from time to time, 24/7 I'll be there."

"…Cheesy as ever."

And there you are, one of the few male contact in her phone, her secret male-friend that only he knows - Jason. The one true friend that stayed with her all the way from her debut until now.

"You really became a full-fledged Korean now huh? Don't we call each other on a first name basis?"

"Well…oppa is easier to type anyway."

"Anything that suits you, I'm fine with it."

A smile beamed across Kahei's face. She knows you are always the considerate one, and the funny one too. If only distance is not a problem, you two would probably hangout everyday single day!

"I'm still stressed out, can't we just do…the usual?"

"Sheesh, you sure is bold with me huh. Alright, ever ready to be of service."

Kahei opened up their secret meet link and video called you. She put her phone on the cistern so that you can see her entire body. Her pale skin and long black hair pairs perfectly with her thin waist and perky chest. She's not on the big side but still it is prominent enough to stand out. Clearly it's not the first time she has been doing this kind of stuff, being an idol is stressful after all.

"Do what you gotta do, Kahei." You murmured, and she begins to remove her clothing, one at a time. She was wearing a white tee with a denim jumpsuit that just overload her with cuteness. It was exactly the same outfit she wore in her debut single MV.

Just as Kahei is about to remove her jumpsuit, an intrusive thought made you interrupt her with a simple but bold request.

"Kahei, can you tie a twin tail for me please?"

"…Never knew you had that kind of fetish, Jason. Just this once okay?" Kahei begrudgingly tied her hair into twin tails, which makes her even cuter in your eyes.
