(Villain) groaned, tapping their foot impatiently.
"Where are they?" They muttered, hugging themselves tightly as they looked around nervously.
As they looked to their left, they saw someone from far away in the empty parking lot. Their shadowy figure stopped moving forward, moving their head slightly.
"(Henchamn)... Is that you?" (Villain) tentavely asked, taking a few steps forward.
Something hard hit the back of (Villain)'s head, causing them to fall to the ground unconcious.

I read a quote which said: if it doesn't serve a purpose or bring you joy or maybe both ,then you should really need to get rid of it. And that's exactly what I did. With my ex.
You don’t know what the Kalevala is? Allow me to shortly explain:
The Kalevala is the single most important piece of literature in the Finnish culture. It is an epic poem costructed by Elias Lönnrot, first published in 1985. He wrote it via gathering various poems passed down orally by ordinary Finns from generation to generation, preserving the ancient folk songs of the Finnish people in one epic book. It also helped to standardise the use of Finnish language for the Finns. Isn’t that great?
I wanted to start reading it about a month ago to see what it is about. However, I found out that finding a copy in a language understandable to me might be a little more difficult than I thought. With an intense research I found English PDFs online and started reading the most ideal one. No direct Slovak translation exists, only a retelling translated from Polish. :(
Which got me heated up! What a disgrace! It’s like the language is literally begging me to learn it so that I can translate the poem directly from Finnish my damn self. :D
Anyway, what might be interesting to you is the main character in the poem! He is a magical, old and wise wizard who uses his singing to enchant things, and his name is... wait for it - Väinämöinen! That’s right, you heard me, everyone’s favourite Finn got his name from the most important poem of his people, which I find incredibly poetic. My personal headcanon is that when Finland read the poem for the first time, he was so happy to read something in his own language that he decided to make it his name as a reminder of his strength and greatness!
In the picture, Finland is dressed in what I imagine Väinämöinen wears in the story. I looked up some pictures for reference and I think it turned out pretty nice, don’t you think? 👀
I actually forgot that Finrod has a wife. Like you want me to believe, that this sassy magpie that brought some gems from Valinor all the way to Beleriand but also is like peak feral at some times is ....you know, married? Like it's canon?
