does anyone else from the reddit migration feel out of place here?

i dunno, i guess i realize that interacting with people takes energy and me not reaching out is my fault. but i feel like interacting with people is the whole point here, which sure, part of me was excited to do, cos i never did on reddit, even though i wanted to, cos your subreddit subscriptions are public (or at least i think they are) and i didn’t need anyone seeing my porn subs, my queer subs, and my hobby subs alongside my subs for the area i live in. (plus, i’m just old enough to be of the “don’t talk to internet strangers” era, and shaking the anxiety around that, especially when you were once the archetypical “good kid” is hard to do)

but i’ve ended up being a lurker here, too, and on reddit i felt much more capable of being a lurker. subscribing to a place makes more sense for my brain than following a person (for the most part; i did also follow a handful of individual reddit accounts, but they put out specific content i wanted to stay keyed into)

like, the people i most enjoy following here have very specific blogs. cryptotheism is great, but even blogs like them still feel like individuals. i guess the ones that most resemble what i’m used to are the ones that go completely impersonal, either comprised of other peoples asks or compilations of good posts or comprised entirely of tournaments via polls

i dunno where i’m going with this. i’m not going back to reddit on principle, unless spez reverts the changes, but i guess i just still feel lost here. guess i should find other blogs to follow
