Once he finds out you’re into nature, Rime takes you on walks through the forest a lot. He notices that you seem to light up whenever you’re out there in the fresh air, y’know? The first couple of times you’re bright and chatty and gushing about the scenery and the animals and how healthy everything looks. But then,, you’re quiet. Gradually you become more and more thoughtful. Rime doesn’t mind. He’s not much one for self-reflection but if you want to go for it, by all means he doesn’t really mind. He likes getting to spend some quiet time with you anyhow.

But then one day you turn to him, eyes blazing with determination, and say you need his help. Of course he’s willing to do just about whatever you want (even if he won’t verbalize that, he acts like he’s all annoyed with you all the time but he’s just trying to look cool). And then you whirl around and take his hands in yours and say You Need To Learn Nature Magic! ! ! !

Rime is intrigued. Once you explain Earth’s pollution problems - the fossil fuels and the trash dumping and the penguins choking on those plastic rings (I rewatched Happy Feet last night don’t @ me) and the oil dumping and the ozone layer and the over-hunting and the- the everything- he’s startled and disturbed and How The Fuck Has Your Race Survived This Long???

Anyways he says that since the Astrolabe’s main aspect is healing, using it to help heal the environment should be,, feasible. Not easy but feasible.

Depending on what you want to focus on first - the forest versus the sky versus the ocean - he sets up a lesson plan. Spends a couple days researching, workshopping spells, testing them out. He tries to act like he’s just Smart and Clever and Knows All This but really he’s having to get Felix’s help with figuring stuff out

Teaches you how to Yeet Trash into the Void, how to turn non-reusable materials into something suitable for degrading, etc.

Learn to purify water! Help the fish and the marine life! You can add magical additives to the water to carry it long and far to touch the places you could never feasibly reach

Use the Astrolabe like a vacuum to suck up the smog and convert it into rainclouds so that we get a little more rain, a little more water, a little more plant growth. You can’t single-handedly repair the ozone layer but You Can Do Some Little Things To Help

Animal! Conservation!! There’s enchantments you can cast that will ward off predators and poachers to let endangered species be a bit more protected.

Ice magic to help protect the ice caps?

Rime offers to kill talk to the CEOs who are allowing the insane amount of pollution solely for the sake of profits

Steve didn’t want a dog.

The seizures started not long after they officially slammed the gate shut on the Upside Down, but it was suspected that they were probably happening before that. It’s subtle for the most part. It takes a while before anybody notices the shifting behind the eyes, the confusion, the dull drag that sinks into Steve’s body and tightens everything up.

They call them absence seizures. And then when Steve convulsed on the Family Video carpet, they say grand mal. They say brain damage and likely permanent, and it’s scary.

It is always scary when Steve’s brain betrays him, when his memory slips and his body fails, and Eddie knows that it’s frustrating. He knows that Steve hates it. He’s been on the opposite end of Steve’s mood swings, of the tears and the anger at going from a kid with no adult supervision to an adult that can’t drive their own car anymore.

He knows the fear that creeps into Steve’s voice through the phoneline when he’s somewhere he doesn’t recognize and doesn’t remember how he got there because Eddie is there. He is on the other end of the line. He is there for the confusion, for the messy emotions, for every breakdown and the attempted break up and Steve saying that he was holding Eddie back when all he ever did was keep Eddie together.

But it is scary.

It is so fucking scary every time that Eddie sits and waits by Steve’s side for him to come back to himself, fearing – always fearing that there might come a day that he doesn’t. But it’s scarier when he’s not there.

Steve does not want a dog.

The first time Eddie brought up a service animal, there are three adult men living in Wayne’s trailer. He’s flipping through a magazine and Steve says no. He says that they can’t afford a dog, much less a service animal and no, Steve would not ask his parents about it. He was lucky enough that they let him stay on their insurance after they kicked him out.

The second time Eddie brought it up, there is money. There is money for a trailer of their own. There’s money for Steve to go to school. There’s a label that signed them and talks of a nation-wide tour, and there’s a song on the radio, and Steve says no. Steve says that it’s unnecessary. He says that he’ll move in with Robin and Nancy while Eddie tours. That it’s okay.

The third time, they have an apartment of their own. Eddie has more money than he’ll ever know what to do with and Steve says no. He’s teaching first grade and he’s happy all the time, and he tells Eddie no. He says that it’s an almost invisible disorder and that sometimes he can pretend that it doesn’t exist. He says he can pretend that none of the bad stuff ever happened, and if he has a dog then it’s just a neon sign that says he’s got his head cracked open. He says people treat him like he’s something that can break when they know, and he hates it. He says it's like they’re all waiting for him to shake apart.

The fourth time – the medicine change, the overnight at the hospital – Steve doesn’t let Eddie get the words out of his mouth. He’s upset and he thinks that no one listens to him, and he says no. He says when he thinks about dogs than he thinks about dark nights, and the junk yard, and the creatures that weren’t dogs but kind of were, and he doesn’t want to be there anymore. They closed the gate. It’s not fair that the Upside Down still lives inside him.

Eddie does not bring it up again.

It doesn’t matter anyways.

It’s been years. They built a system. There are still seizures, still dissociative episodes and sleepwalking, and still the rare but terrifying grand mal seizures that sits like Chrissy Cunningham cracking to pieces in Eddie’s chest. There are appointments and medication, but there is family and friends, and they take the precautions they know to take and learn to take more. And it works.

It works until it doesn’t.

Corroded Coffins’ popularity started to drop off in the early 2000s. They don’t tour too much anymore, but sometimes Eddie leaves for a week to play a couple shows out of town and that was what he was doing four years ago. Neither of them think about Robin visiting her parents or the research position that took Dustin all over the world, or that half of their friends have moved out of the state. They say their goodbyes and they kiss each other, and Eddie comes home to blood tacky in the carpet.

He came home to Steve at the bottom of the stairs after having a seizure and falling, bleeding and in pain, unable to move and calling for a help no one can hear for three days. They have a system, but there are cracks big enough to fall through. Steve may not want a dog and maybe it isn’t what he needs, but it’s the only thing Eddie knows to ask about.

Eddie asks again for the first time in years, sitting next to him in the hospital. Steve says yes with bruises on his face and taste of a concussion on his tongue, and they get a well-trained dog with light fur that Steve names Ozzy.

Eddie feels for the first time in years like he can take a full breath, a little more of his fear slipping away.

Hi! I just wanted to tell you that I'm very interested in your drawings of ash and red being half siblings or just very good friends. May I ask you if you have any headcanon of them together? Like, how long have they known each other, considering they are from the same town? If they are half brothers, who would you think their father (because I guess their mothers are different (or not)) is? And was red jealous of kukui when ash went to live at his house in Alola and not with him? That'd be all.

Thanks for being interested! The reality is that I always think of 3 possible scenarios when I draw them. I'm not very good making headcanons (′•ω•‵ ;) But here there are:

1-They are from the same universe:

● They half-brothers: their father undertook his journey a long time ago like his grandfather but their names do not appear in the official list of the pokémon league (something a bit in keeping with the novel)

● Ash was going to watch a Red Pokémon battle on TV: Do you remember in the first episode when Ash watches a gengar vs nidorino battle on TV? Well If Delia hadn't changed the channel, Ash would have seen a Red battle.

● Ash doesn't have many memories of Red: They separate when Ash was very young, Red undertook his journey with Green and Leaf / Blue. Little Ash trying to chase his older brother went into the forest getting lost in him and thanks to the pokemon in the area he was able to be safe. When they found him, many of his memories were mysteriously erased, several of them included Red and his father.

● Red and Delia have a good relationship: Although Red doesn't see Ash very often, Red sees Delia much less often but to her Red is another child of her own. That's why it was very important to her when Ash met Red again.

● Red is practically a "legend": Red spends a lot of time training on the Mt. Silver. He hasn't come home for a long time so rumors have spread about a mysterious trainer who managed to become champion and "disappeared" in the Mt Silver so many think he is a legend that "doesn't exist (Lol Red just doesn't like being on TV and cameras haha). Some people confuse Ash with Red

2-They are from differents universes/dimensions but they are related. (Wait...What?):

● They half-brothers (but how?): A bit similar to the previous case, they have the same father, but with the difference that their father is a traveler of dimensions/universes. That explains (I guess(?)) why Ash's father's name doesn't appear in the pokémon league.

● The reason Ash and Red separated is because his father confessed to Red that he is a dimension/universe traveler: Red lived with Ash for a while, but once his father confessed the truth, he had to separate from Ash to return to his dimension/universe and start his journey so as not to damage the "natural order" of things.

Just like the 1st scenario, Ash tried to chase Red into the forest, losing himself in it. When he was found and returned to Pallet Town, his memories of Red were mysteriously erased.

● In addition to becoming stronger, Red has traveled to all regions looking for a way to meet Ash again: For Red it is much "easier" to look for information about it than to look for his father to explain how these "dimensional travels" work.

● They met several times by chance but at the end of the day Ash always lost his memories about Red: Sometimes Red was accidentally teleported to Ash's dimension/universe. Every time he met Ash, he couldn't remember who Red was, even if they had met before. Red realized it the 2nd time they met again, that is why he traveled looking for a way in which he could travel at will, perhaps this way Ash could keep his memories about him or maybe recover their childhood memories together

●When Red found a way to travel again and miraculously Ash didn't lose his memory, Red promised to spend more time with him: Red wants Ash to recapture their childhood memories together and talk about this whole "universes/dimensions" thing. But sometimes Red just wants to keep listening to the stories Ash has from his travels to tell him. (Well, it's not like Red was very talkative...if you know what I mean...)

● Red helped Ash get his first hat: not much to say. Do you remember primape episode about how Ash obtain his hat? Yep Red helped with that (this also applies to the first scenario where they are from the same universe)

● Red is grateful to Kukui for taking care of Ash: It's good for Red to know that Ash was in very good hands.

3-They are just "counterparts" from differents universes (Like Spider-verse! (just for give an example (?))

● They are just counterparts they are "conected" but no related: When they met they noticed too many similarities between the two especially for his love of battles... and food

● Ash greatly admires Red for him is the closest thing to "being a pokèmon master": The term pokémon master is too ambiguous, even for Ash, that is why Red is a "close" reference (Red does not consider himself a "pokemon master" since he thinks he still needs to get stronger).

● Red is amazed at the connection Ash can make with Pokémon:

Although Red also connects well with Pokémon, it is different from Ash's ability. (Well, this can also apply to all scenarios)

● Even if they're not related to Red, Ash is like a little brother and to Ash, Red is the closest thing to having an older brother: Red: "I've only had Ash for a day and a half, but if anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself"

● More chance to meet Mangaverse Red!: YES POKESPE RED! and maybe the others counterparts from differents universes. A meeting between these 3 could be interesting things (like spiderverse!)

● Red entered to win the official pokémon league hat, but he didn't win lol: That's why he's surprised that Ash was able to win.

I usually use the second scenario, it is more flexible for me and I can imagine more things. Don't take this too seriously is just my imagination with some canon and non-canon elements you can agree or disagree is okay

your gentle and good-natured personality quickly won over the hearts of fizzaroli and asmodeus. the three of you became an unconventional yet loving family. domesticity was never sweeter.

you know it's a new day in hell when asmodeous is making breakfast, and fizz is trying to charm the toaster. meanwhile, you're just enjoying the show with a grin on your face.

fizz and ozzie are surprisingly competitive when it comes to taking care of you. expect lots of laughter, playful banter, and maybe a little bit of cheating (looking at you, fizz).

there's nothing better than cozying up on the couch for a movie night. fizzarolli's cybernetic arms make for the best cuddles, and asmodeus is a master at picking out the sappiest movies.

blitzo might be a chaotic godfather, but he's always there to capture those precious family moments. just make sure loona doesn't photobomb with her trademark scowl.

blitzo introduces you to the art of pranking, and suddenly, your home is a battlefield of whoopee cushions and fake spiders. fizz and ozzie may not fully approve, but they can't resist joining in.

blitzo's idea of babysitting involves ordering pizza and introducing you to classic movies. just don't tell your parents about the questionable movie choices (gay horses)

loona may act tough, but deep down, she's a softie. she teaches you the art of intimidation and the importance of a well-timed eye roll.

trips to the carnival or a day at the beach become unforgettable adventures. fizzaroli's clown antics and asmodeus' beachside glamour create a perfect blend of fun and relaxation.

loona introduces you to the edgiest demon fashion trends. expect spiked collars, mismatched accessories, and a lot of black.

He'd wrestle you to the floor and tie your hands in a messy knot in front of your chest. Watch you struggle for a bit before yanking your leggings and underwear off and circling rough rope around each of your ankles.

His boots scuff the wood floor as he grabs one length of rope and walks with it, stretching your leg to the side before tying a knot to a link bolted into the floor.

"You brought this on yourself. Just remember that." he states as you stare up at him with watery eyes.

He yanks the other rope and walks a few feet to another link, pulling the tendons in your hips and thighs until your limbs are spread eagle, and seals your fate by knotting the rope to the floor.

“This’ll help stick in that dumb head of yours not to test me again.”

You've never felt more exposed as he stands over you. He leers down at your cunt, making you feel the smallest you've ever felt since he took you. A wad of spit lands squarely on your bush, making you jolt and tug against your binds.

"Squirm all you want," he says, crouching down and rubbing his spit into your skin. He lands a brutal smack to your uncovered thigh. You shriek and wiggle despite the binds keeping you locked in place. "I’d be careful of splinters. They'll tear you right up."

He roughly tugs the hairs covering your mound. “Look at me.” He snarls, words dripping with hatred. You narrowly hold his freezing stare. “This cunt is mine. Say it.”

“This cunt is yours.” you croak, hands shaking against your chest.

“S’right,” he says before slapping a harsh hand against your folds. Your legs instinctively move too close, but the rope keeps them splayed for his assault. “And what I say goes.” He bellows over your anguished cries as he lands five severe swats to your core.
