Ninfeo degli specchi, sphinx, Palatino, Roma, Lazio, 2009.
To say that I cannot interpret the iconography or the history of this statue would be an understatement. It was incorporated into the 16th century Horti Farnesiani, though the statue may be much older.

Woman with a satin hat on her head. A 'palatine' of swan down around the neck. She wears a spencer trimmed with fur on a dotted dress. Further accessories: gloves, handkerchief, shoes with crossed straps and pointy noses. She holds up her dress with her right hand. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published by Pierre de la Mésangère, Paris, 1797-1839.

Elsa, my custom Palatine. She bears the Litanies of Faith, a holy Relic of the Adepta Sororitas.
This model took a lot of work to build! Her body is a spare gunner from a Rhino transport. I ended up using a parts from plastic 'Reaper' minis to make her more unique; her head is from a rogue, and the dress is the bottom half of a Deva! I got inspired when I saw how close the V shape of the dress was to that of Sororitas armour. The part that took the most time was, ironically, her legs... Which, y'know... You can't see.
I gave her a holstered pistol (but changed it to a sheathed sword) and a few purity seals and grenades to help merge the pieces together.
I love Elsa and her fierce dress! x 📖⚜️💃🗡

Shoutout to the men of Palestine. Their bravery, courage and grace shines so brightly even as the world forgets them or paints them as inhuman monsters.
