And how can you expect to keep going? No one can pour from an empty cup right?

So we stay up late to catch up. Chat to our friends. Scroll. Watch. Read. Eat. Alone.

No interruptions.

No expectations.

I don’t have a clean answer for this post except to say:

You have to put on your oxygen mask 😷 first before helping your kids.

Be mindful those late nights aren’t tallying up. ⏰

Find an hour during the day. Look for it. Squeeze it out somewhere.

Why do they put things in bags and boxes and cart them around the house, never to be found again? It looks like a bunch of mess but….. They are called Play Schemas. These schemas are crucial to building life-skills, yet adults often stop children from these activities because, let’s face it, these play schemas are not the most convenient learning strategy but it is highly effective. So if they have a “yes” space where they can practice these schemas, they are free to practice and learn…. and you maintain your home, to some degree lol.
