"What's in my Bag?"

(7th Decemeber 2022)

i decided to take another series of scans based on the scans of my tote bag. This time i took scans of the objects from my 'Going-out Bag' and my make-up bag, contrasting the different items i carry around for different reasons and how some of the items interconnect.

I find that the objects a person carries around speaks volumes about their personality, almost like a faceless portrait

I then decided to create a stop motion gif of the items in my bags being moved around, taken out, used, etc, showing their Temporary placement. With my Going-Out bag, i would remove some of the coins, remove and put back my sunglasses, vape or I.D, remove and put back my cigarettes and lighter. For my make-up bag, i would place items down in the order i would use them everyday, almost like a ritual!

I decided to lay the items down in a composition as opposed to haphazardly in my tote-bag scan. i did this based on Paula Zucotti's 'Everything We Touch" and Sophie Calle's 'Hotel'.
