First art I'm posting on here!

This is a drawing of Sebastian when he's in his Morph natural form. It's just the head and some of the neck for now, but I'm super happy with how it turned out! The teeth aren't perfect, but it's pretty good.

The writing in the top corner is the date (Sunday 5 November, 2023), my age (16), and the song I was listening to when I drew it (Ring Ding Dong by SHINee).

vr46 road trip they are not making it out of tavullia before the car breaks down (they forgot to get fuel), someone has been left behind(Mig was smart and didn't show up), they are on the side of the road arguing about running out of food, Bezz is having a meltdown that Vale left them for Marc(what does this mean for his future), Cele forgot to pack a bag, Luca and Pecco both brought the wrong maps, and Franky is regretting all his life choices the people of tavullia are watching them going great who's going to direct them back to the ranch and taking bets on how long it takes for them to realize they are still in tavullia

i know i said franky drives but they still absolutely leave him behind at least once he is a canonically chronically late king... cele not only forgot a bag but he wants to pee every three minutes... luca tries to put on a VERY dry podcast and has to contend with bezz micromanaging the vibe on aux with his sad girl italian indie music... pecco is absolutely that bitch with three different navigation apps trying to minmax the road trip even though his ass is not driving....

So I posted the other day about a blog post that came across as, 'don't read if you don't comment'. I'd seen posts like that before and it was kinda the straw that broke the camel's back, especially since I've had readers who apologized and felt guilty for not commenting or reblogging, and I'd wanted to talk about that for a while now. So I told my readers that it was fine to read without commenting, and that I knew all the reasons you might not comment or reblog. It got a bit of traction and the original OP saw it, and they apologized and clarified they were referring to rude readers whose only comments were either them being cruel or them being entitled and demanding updates. Basically, 'if you're just going to be rude, don't bother reading'. Which makes a ton more sense.

I've added an edit/update to that post clarifying the OPs intent, which I'm leaving up for now so that part can be seen, and because there are unfortunately people out there who really do believe that you shouldn't read if you don't comment. Just know the OP absolutely agrees that you should absolutely be able to read fic even if you're not in the right place or headspace to comment or reblog.

(Content note: Komodo Dragon skull)

I've been studying Komodo Dragons (and other Monitor Lizards) as reference reptiles for drawing Morphs, and man, these lizards are so cool, and really helpful with my art too!

I've worked on adjusting the snout length, making the nose shorter, and I'm testing out different positions for the nostrils and the auditory opening (it's always further back than I think it is), and now I'm working on teeth!

Komodo Dragons have really intresting teeth, observe:

First of all, sorry about the skull, I couldn't find any pictures of live Dragons showing off their teeth. But, their teeth go in a two big, two small pattern along the jaw, sorta like a really big serrated knife. And their teeth are very curved back, more so than I would've thought. So that's been very intresting.

I'm also working on drawing open Morph jaws, because I'm alright at drawing them when they have their mouths closed, but open jaws just kills me. So I'm working on the angles and how far open the jaws should be for different things the character might be doing (e.g. how far open should the jaw be for shouting vs how far open should they be when the person is just talking, etc).

But my Morphs are slowly but surely coming to life, and looking more and More like they do in my head, lol. I think I might have some good art to post soon!

The problem with cooking is that, 50% of the time, when I'm in a position where I'm the one cooking, I have a very specific idea of what I want, but I can't find a recipe for it, and I'm not confident enough in my skills to make up a recipe. It's very frustrating.
