Kinessie Week Day 2 - Scarf

Today's prompt was scarf and I inspired by some winter shenanigans after seeing all the christmas ads on tv, so have some cold gfs in freezing their butts off

Frozen Guard was not designed for Kinessa. Well, at least, that’s how she chooses to interpret. Her crop top was not the blame for the ripple of gooseflesh on her skin, nor her need to rub her arms in an attempt to warm herself; it was the howling winds that whipped through the caves and around her. At least, she’s grateful for her beanie and scarf, now wrapped tighter than ever around her face. Still, Kinessa flexed her fingers and rubbed them together. Can’t risk a frozen finger on the trigger after all.

Someone sneezes next to her, and she twisted to see her lookout partner sniffle miserably. Even Cassie fur-lined cape doesn’t stop her next series of sneezes, which Kinessa always loved for the cuteness of it, but right now, it only put a concerned frown on her face. Zigs was no-where to be seen, most likely scouting the area ahead. Cassie glumly brushed her sleeve against her nose.

It only took Kinessa two whole seconds to decide, before unwinding her scarf and looping it around Cassie’s neck. “Kinessa!” She says, surprised. “But aren’t you cold?”

“Sure, and I hate it.” Kinessa said, tucking the ends in neatly. “But I hate seeing you cold more.”

Cassie stared at her for a second, then let out a huff of laughter, smoothly unclipping her cape and holding one side open invitingly. “C’mon, there’s no need for either of us to suffer, right?”

In the end, Kinessa ended up re-wrapping her scarf around both of them while they huddled under Cassie’s cape. Cassie beamed at her. “Now isn’t this better?”

As she gazed at Cassie, feeling the warm press of the huntress’s side against her own, she had to agree – this was infinitely better then freezing her butt off for chivalry.
