hello everyone! welcome to my studyblr.

my name is jin and i am a kh-born chinese. i am currently 18 and will be attending the university of toronto to major in neuroscience and minor in political science. i can speak khmer and english, as well as japanese and spanish. i am learning manadarin.

my interests include: science fiction, detective novels, cooking and learning new languages.

i like: star trek, star wars, the twilight zone, the MCU and marvel comics, pokemon and currently have a fixation on good omens.

my goals are:

- get a good grade on my national exams

- have a good start into university

- improve my work ethic and study harder

- get connected with more lovely people

- expand my viewpoint and perspectives

why i made this studyblr:

- the studyblr community is warm and supportive, as well as extremely inspiring.

- it is nice to be connected to other people and to hear stories of hardship, failure and sucess. it fills me with a sense of comfort and belonging.

- there are so many amazing resources and helpful links that are posted. all of which i found to be immensely helpful.

- i love to bullet-journal. seeing all the effort and heart that all of you put in your work pushes me to do better.

september 26, 2017≈ I apologise for not being so active but the first week of uni has been real heavy on me!! You can have a sneak peek of all the design notes we had to take already ugh 😵

10/09/17; I HAVE RETURNED!!! PLEASE READ!!

Hello my lovelies! I'm sorry for being inactive for this past week or so but I've been on holiday with my boyfriend our two friends (couples holiday lol ) and I've had no service or wifi for the majority of the trip which has been quite nice to just get away from the internet for a little while. I wasn't able to journal during my trip as I don't have a portable printer and there were no photo printing shops anywhere near the cottage so it was pretty much a waste of space bringing a lot of my crafting supplies. I did purchase the luggage tags whilst I was away and I also bought a book from a castle we vistited that has lots of super prettty watercolour flower pictures and stickers in- I used two of the flower stickers on the left hand side of the spread. I also used a project life journaling card and I plan on using more of these in some of the other spreads for each day of the trip. I'm so happy to be active again on tumblr and I will be starting my blogrates again so for any of you who have sent one in, don't worry I will be doing those soon!

UPDATE!

Oh my gosh! Since I returned from my holiday, I rechecked my follower count and I couldn't believe my eyes!! I very recently celebrated reaching 1K followers and now I have reached 2K!!! My goal was to reach 1K and now I've passed that and I am so incredibley grateful! I'm still in shock that I've reached 2K so quickly so I want to give you all a huge thank you for the bottom of my heart! I am going to continue with my blogrates as a thankyou for 2K! Much love❤️

I’m taking a hiatus from this blog

This blog and this community has been such an incredible support and aid for me in my last years of high school, when i started this page i never thought i would grow to have 13k followers, but i have and i’m so happy. that being said, i’m currently taking a gap year and dont know if i will want to continue this blog when i start at uni next year. i will forever be grateful to this community and all it has taught me, and i hope it can continue to grow and help others the way it did for me. but until further notice, i wont be a part of it.

if you’re curious, i ended up scoring in the top 8% of students in my state, winning two academic awards, and getting into my 1st choice university upon graduating.

I will still be on tumblr, please follow @floweary if you want to keep seeing me around, i would love it if i could maintain some kind of connection with the people that made my success possible
