This is going to be an out of nowhere post, but did anyone else notice that the Hippie car and the Veteran car from the Cars movies are kind of gay????
Like, they're very gay?
Hippie car is like, "There's a lot of love out there," (or something) and leans on Veteran car with a smile and then Veteran car grumbles and pushes him off and is like, "Stop embarrassing me,"
And this is AFTER bickering like an old married couple the whole rest of the movie?
Oh, they were also sitting together in the end credits short at the outdoor movie. Just like McQueen and Sally or The King and his wife were. Very interesting...
"ouuuuughhgh but the Cars franchise has too many disturbing implications about history and anatomy" i simply do not think about it. my silly little guys are driving around on a track heehoo. i don't care
Shane: And if anyone has issues with this, I'd invite you do some some quick Google searches, because there's some really—lovely, um, fan art depicting, like, the biology of—?
Garrick: Yeah, which is hilarious.
Shane: There's—there’s a cross-section showing, like,—
Garrick: Yeah
Shane: —a, sort of, uh, a Cronenbergian, uh, anatomy of the inside of a car, but there's also one that's a lot more involved, showing the—sexual reproduction of cars—
Zach: I would like to see that.
Shane: —and, like, the gestation of how they give birth. Uh, and I haven't spent a lot of time looking at it, but I've—I've definitely looked at it more than once, [laughs] you know?
Zach: [laughs]
