Joking with Lando about how plain his driver's room is, so you gift him one of those jellycat plushies that's a potted plant with a smiley face. It goes with him to every race, as soon as he arrives he sets it on a table (he travels with it to keep it from getting lost in moves). One time you set it down facing the wall and Lando comes in, notices immediately, turns it, and says, "Plant-y is an important, beloved member of this team who cannot be excluded from any racing matters."

Do those motherfuckers know their own language definitions?
Some people use son as a form of address when they are showing kindness or affection to a boy or a man who is younger than them. Even Clancy Brown had planty of movies in which his character called other younger characters "son" and it meant nothing, just a way of addressing. Same is here. Lord, if that's their only argument, they're literally failing at character analysis. And it really IS the only argument.

Remember when I said I wouldn't do writing? Yeah good times. Well actually this isn't really writing, just hcs like I said but don't expect me to open reqs or something.
So these are some assorted romantic Y/N-related headcanons about my favorite characters.

Dabi (BHnA): When precious fire boy loves you, he shows his vulnerability to you, and also does things for you without you noticing. I imagine him not really being one to talk about his feelings, and also lives by the motto "Show, don't tell,"
Shigaraki (BHnA): Crusty gamer boi likes to do things for you, like doing your hair or helping you with your self-care routine, but also tries to not behave ungrateful when you repay the favor. He doesn't want to make you hate him because of how he acts.
Toga (BHnA): SHE LOVES TAKING YOU ON ARCADE DATES. Or just any kind of date that takes you and her to a cute location like a cat café or Sanrio shop. And she won't tell you either, just drags you to your date spot. She thinks taking her cute S/O to an even cuter place frames you perfectly.
Jirou (BHnA): She loves roading with you and exchanging interests. It makes her happy listening to you explain something you like to her.
Mirko, Rumi Usagiyama (BHnA): Cuddling time is her favorite thing to do with you. Just being able to kick her feet up with you and have you close makes her so happy, especially after a rough day of hero work.
Piers (Pokémon SWSH): Writes songs for you. It's in his blood to be a songwriter after all. Plus he also sings you early versions of his other songs to get your opinion on how they sound :)
Guzma (Pokémon SM/USUM): Bug boy takes you hunting for Whimpod with him. He thinks you look nice on your knees ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° : (that was a horrific joke i'm sorry)
Giacomo (Pokémon ScarVi): Will give you complements galore and (also) write songs for you, except they definitely reflect his version of a love serenade- which is a breakcore love song.
Larry Johnson (Sally Face): He adores doing fun dumb shit with you. Like exploring abandoned places and doing vandalism while blaring Sanity's Fall.
Sal Fisher (Sally Face): I think he's a hardcore Guitar Hero player, and would teach you how to play it so you can play with him. One time Gizmo weaved himself inbetween you two and you both tripped on him and fell over.
Warren the Eagle (DHMIS): Of course our slightly annoying boi will adore taking you out for a restaurant-style meal, but of course will try and do some romantic crap and embarrass himself in front of a whole restaurant, poor guy.
Whitty (Vs Whitty Full Week): Since he's on the run most of the time and has severe paranoia, he can't spend that much time with you, but when he can/feels safe enough too, he'd go to your place and snuggle with you to show his appreciation.
Garcello (Smoke 'Em Out Struggle): Takes you out on a McDonald's date just to come home and have a lazy day with you. Honestly, this is just your everyday life dating this lovable smoker.
Aloe Marker (Roblox Find the Markers): judge me i dare you istg. This planty marker tells you all about his plants, and all their healing properties. He wants you to know since the forest he lives in has some really poisonous brush on the ground.

Oh. My. Gosh.
I got the Bad Batch sampler set, and looooved Hunter and Echo's scents specifically. It fills my house with a delightful scent that makes me think of our boys. So I asked for recommendations -- things that were fresh, light, and clean. SHE DELIVERED.
Across the Stars is a more heavy floral one (I was curious about ones in that realm), and Wolffe and Black Henley have a little bit of *spice* to them. Rex is a mix of planty and fresh, and Howzer... OHHHH HOWZER... It just solidifies my love for that babe. Light, invigorating, clean, with a hint of sweetness... SO GOOD. I'm gonna have to get the spray as well. ;) She describes it as "hot man in a bottle" and she was DEAD ON.
Just figured I'd share for those of you who enjoy infusing your daily life with little reminders of that which we love. ;)

He was a Punk who did Ballet - Reboot Jonesy Fruitbat
Reboot AU belongs to @bloodrediscream
According to him, Jonesy Fruitbat was a “Punk Rock Bad Boy” (Jonesy, 1998). Considering his history of straight A’s and how he never even stole from his parents liquor store, it’s safe to say that actions speak louder than words.
He was 16 years old, and about 2 years deep into his exploration of punk rock. He lived in a neighborhood that loved music, from his family’s apartment he could always hear a band playing somewhere nearby. Jonesy relished it. He found himself drawn to those sharp chords, loud lyrics, and the way that their hair was styled. It was an art form! Performance! And while Jonesy would never admit it, he loved to perform.
When he turned 12, his parents noticed the way he’d dance. Always so graceful and poised. So they enrolled him in ballet, and it was safe to say that he loved it. Getting all dressed up, spinning, doing his hair, even the makeup of it. It was just like the bands he watched from the pits!
Jonesy was practicing in the small lot by his building, his point shoes on his furry blue feet, laced up as he hopped across strategically laid out cardboard. He had the Tchaikovsky playing on his small CD player nearby. His company was preparing for their annual Nutcracker Ballet and Jonesy was proud (if not slightly embarrassed) to be the Rat King. He thought it was strange because bats were considered angel rats. He didn’t know if he should be offended or not.
While he practiced, moving his arms and jumping quickly across the packing board, he turned and saw a passerby. Oh god not her.
Resident cheer-monger and baggy jean wearer Julie Joyful paused her conversation on her phone before whispering into the receiver.
��I’m gonna have to call you back, Sal.”
Jonesy tried his best to throw on his battle jacket and his high top boots while turning off the music and not taking his pointe shoes off. What happened was he fell face first on the cardboard and made a small squeak as he did. Julie found herself laughing.
“Oh em gee, Jonesy, what’s this? I didn’t know you could dance like that!”
She squealed, running over to try and pick the teen up off the ground. He grumbled.
“Ugh! No I can’t! Get your hands off me! Stop touching me!”
He squeaked angrily, standing up on his own accord, but falling down again when his knee length leather platforms couldn’t stand him not being fully strapped in. Jonesy laid on the ground, sniveling like a pathetic little boy. He hated this, and Julie’s laughing didn’t help.
“Well what was that? I see your pretty pink ballerina shoes! I didn’t know boys could do ballet! Let alone one as..”
Julie threw up the rock and roll hand sign and shook her head while whisper screaming.
“You. Y’know?”
Jonesy sat up on the ground, taking his boots off and fully exposing in their glory his rather fetching pink pointe shoes. He looked embarrassed, drawing his lips in a tight line and trying to think of a comeback to get her to leave him alone.
“Talk to the hand cause the face doesn’t wanna listen, Jules.”
Jonesy held his palm out to her. She giggled, splaying his fingers to look at her.
“Come on, kid! You were actually really good! Don’t play all mean with me, or else I’ll tell Howdy and Paulie-“
“Okay okay jeez! Don’t bring them into this, I don’t want them to know I dance! It’s embarrassing!”
Jonesy squeaked and closed his eyes. He started unraveling his pointe shoes from his feet. He looked at his bandages that kept him in check and then Julie again.
“It’s not embarrassing! It’s super impressive! I mean, I could never do that! It’s so cool!”
The awkward teenager scoffed. As if she could ever understand. Julie was so one dimensional with her stupid peppy attitude. She didn’t have to hide a soft part about herself with an equal love for metal. Jonesy crossed his arms.
“Whatever. As long as you don’t tell anyone, I don’t care!”
He huffed, shoving his pointe shoes into his duffle bag with the CD player. The Fruitbat then laced up his boots and walked away with a huff.
It had been a long emotionally exhausting day. But now, he got to go to work. Jonesy slid his white and blue striped shirt on and the little paper hat. He, similarly to ballet, would never admit how much he loved working at Howdy’s. It just made him so happy! He waved goodbye to his parents, giving his mom a hug.
He walked to Howdy’s. It wasn’t that far away anyway. Going in, he saw the namesake of the store sitting there with his cousin Paulette.
“Paul I just don’t understand your obsession with making these silly little pictures. Sure, they’re funny, but what’s it doing for you?”
Howdy asked, raising his upper left hand in a question.
Paulette, dressed in a blue star printed sweatsuit, chuckled.
“It’s the future of communication, cuz! Like, look at my MySpace page! Howdy, the internet is the future! Just call me da bomb, cause I’m blowin’ up! Kaching! Oh, there’s Jonesy! Hey little dude!”
Paulette said, waving at the teen as he walked in behind the counter and slumped. He groaned, resting his head on the counter.
“What’s the matter, Jonesy? Can’t follow whatever nonsense my cousins saying either? I’m telling you, I don’t trust her.”
Howdy said with a shiver, patting Jonesy on the back lightly as he perked up.
“It’s not that. You know how I was telling you guys about how I have an upcoming show?”
The caterpillars nodded, waiting for the bat to continue.
“I was practicing out on the empty lot and Julie saw me and started laughing.”
“Oh, why I oughta-! She knows better than that! You’re self conscious, I get it, son, but eventually the shows gonna come around and you’re gonna have to perform for everybody!”
Howdy spoke comfortingly, patting Jonesy’s back gently. He looked up with a sigh.
“I know.. but maybe, too help me feel better after this embarrassing day I’ve had-“
The clerk rolled his eyes before Jonesy said anything else. He chuckled, heading over to the slushy machines.
“You’re lucky I like you so much. I don’t even give free slushes to Paulie and they’re my flesh and blood!”
“Blood may be thicker than water, but slushees are thicker than blood.”
Jonesy said with a grin, taking the strawberry slushee that Howdy gave him and sipping it. Maybe today wouldn’t be so bad after all.

I think people who are disappointed to learn that Pokemon Legends Z-A might be entirely based in Lumiose forgets how huge it was in XY at the time- the nooks and crannys alleyways you could get lost down and the amount of buildings you could explore, and how much of it was cut due to time-
And added to that, if they make it a one to one scale of Paris? And maybe expand the irl parks like Bois de Vincennes and Jardis des Plantis?
(which are bigger then central park and if expanded could be made to be as big as the areas in PLA or SV)
this could be a HUGE game. And its always good to save judgement until we get actual gameplay, remember that.

ough boy I don't even know how to answer this without listing so so many, so I'm just gonna say a handful that come to mind!
The Curse of Eelgrass Bog - art: James Firnhaber*, des: Kaitlin Yang
*who also did the Every Bird a Prince art, I just realised! I I love the colour/comps and little fantastical elements (like the floating fish) in both of them.
A Tempest of Tea art by Valentina Remenar, des: Aurora Parlagreco - I love the delicate portrait and composition of the elements is nice - kinda unique for the genre while staying within recognisable genre conventions
I love Evangeline Gallagher's covers for Andrew Joseph White's books. the sort of grungy lineart + pastel colours is another unique choice!
Don't Let The Forest In is striking and has some lovely pencil textures, and I mean I always love a good planty cover. art: Jana Heidersdorf, des: Meg Sayre
I love the detail in The Hedgewitch of Foxhall, art by Christin Engelberth (who's done some other beautiful covers recently)
