Closing the chapter
The worst pain is being in no contact with the one person you’re still in love with, who at one point in time sent you texts that made your heart melt. Butterflies every time you saw them. And now you love them only in silence from a distance. Slowly being forced to close every chapter you never wanted to end. 📖

I write with the same hand I hold her with. Maybe that's why there's an essence of her in every poem I write.

Do you have any idea how much you mean to me? How much it terrifies me to think I'll have to live without you? Every night we hold each other, and every day we long for being together.

meeting you was one of the best things to ever happen to me. you showed me different. i know it sounds cliché but it was something i’ve never felt before, genuine happiness. my other half and best friend tied into one. it made me fall in love with you.

"While many fall for the allure of physicality, I found myself captivated by the ethereal connection of our souls, ignited by the tender gaze of those mesmerizing eyes. In that fleeting moment, our spirits intertwined, pulling me into a realm of love beyond the confines of mere flesh."

MY MOTHER TONGUE
In a world of tongues,
Oh so grand.
I hold my mother tongue,
Close in hand.
It's a bittersweet tale I have to sing,
Of some who see it as a lesser thing.
Oh, my beloved mother's tongue,
You're my heart's song.
I'll guard your grace,
you'll never sway.
In the shadow of English,
you'll never stay.
In my mother's tongue,
When songs are sung,
There's a soothing rhyme,
that gently rocks in time,
lulling babies to dream.
Oh, my beloved mother's tongue,
You're my heart's song.
But some think it's not right,
To cherish you in the daylight.
With pride and love, I'll sing your name.
Loud and clear, I'll spread your fame.
Every day and every night,
I'll shout out loud with all my might.
In your melodies, I'll always find,
The love, like my mother's, oh so kind.
- Neelihara
I saw this post by @thewinchestergirl1208 and I felt the same regarding the topic and found inspiration material for a new poem. I've written this poem in honour of my mother tongue Telugu. If you are wondering why I haven't written this in my own language it is mainly because I wanted to write it in English to reach a wider audience and to make people aware that none of their languages are inferior to English.

We both had problems, it was never one sided. But the difference was one of us wanted to fix things and one of us thought it be easier to walk away 🧎🏼♂️
