The only difference really is that Buck has more fantastical stories to tell Christopher and Jee-Yun. He’s a bit more fearless and that much more brave.

Sometimes he’ll think of about Tink and the rest at pixie hollow, wonder how the mermaids are doing, imagine the taste of the feasts he’d have in Neverland. But then he’ll look around at a gathering at Bobby’s with the 118 and be so grateful for the life that he’s been given.

welcome to london, NEAL CASSIDY! did anyone ever tell you that you look just like MICHAEL RAYMOND JAMES? well, no matter, we hear that you are 35 and working as a BARTENDER. we also hear that you currently HAVE your memories from ONCE UPON A TIME and have a tendency to be EMPATHATIC as well as DECEATFUL.

Once upon a time, Baelfire was living a normal life. As normal as it could be when your grandparents were Peter Pan and the Black Fairy. But he hadn't known that at the time. His village had seemed safe and quiet enough, and this his mother ran off with a pirate, though his father told him that she was killed. As he got older, boys were being recruited to fight in the ogre war. It led to his father becoming The Dark One, protecting him from being taken. But it led to new problems, and eventually Baelfire went to the Blue Fairy and got a seed to take them to a world without magic. But when the portal opened, his father stayed, and Baelfire fell alone, eventually ending up in Neverland. It was there he met Hook, and though he spent a happy time on the boat, he soon realised that Hook had lied to him about his mother and so went to land. For 200 years he was stuck under Pan's rule, before he escaped.

When Neal met Emma, he wasn't expecting to fall in love, but that was exactly what happened. Then August arrived, telling him the truth about who Emma was and her destiny. Realising he had to let her go, he went along with August's plan, on the condition he give her the money and the car. He heard nothing until a postcard arrived confirming the curse was broken. He still stayed away until Emma, his father, and Henry showed up. That was how he learnt he had a son. Guilt taking over that he had somehow been worse than his father, he'd been an absent father. Eventually he agreed to return to Storybrooke, but it was an action that would lead to his death, sacrificing himself to save the people he loved.

Then Neal woke up in London. He'd been there once before but that was centuries ago. He has his memories, and just wants to get back to his family.

Once Upon A Time...

Once upon a time in the Enchanted Forest, there was a family that seemed to be of little importance. They were only peasants, and the father had injured himself to avoid a war, and before long she ran away with Captain Hook. Still, Baelfire grew up happy enough, though as he got older he knew he'd be drafted to fight in the Ogre Wars, at least until his father instead became the Dark One to keep him safe. But things started getting worse, until eventually Baelfire made a deal with the Blue Fairy for a way to get to a world without magic, so that they could live a calmer life. Only, when it came to it, he fell through the portal, and his father stayed behind. He ended up in London, until to protect the Darlings, he went to Neverland where he was trapped by Peter Pan for 200 years, unaware at the time the boy was his Grandfather. Neal Cassidy was living in New York when he met Emma, though not knowing who she was. For a while they were happy, until August showed up, revealing he knew who Baelfire was, and Emma's own destiny. Although it meant he'd not only lose her but that his father could find him, he also knew if she went she would finally find her parents. It wasn't until a decade later he received the postcard from Storybrooke, by then he was engaged to Tamara. Soon after, Emma arrived with his father, but also the revelation that they had a son. Not wanting his son to grow up the way he and Emma had, although feeling very late, he went back to Storybrooke with them. Eventually this would lead to his death, as he sacrificed himself to save his family.

As far as he's concerned, Neal is his real name, this is the only realm, he's aged normally, and Peter Pan and Rumpelstiltskin are just fairytales. Happy endings he does believe in however, as he is married to Emma, but right now neither remember Henry.

My thoughts on 139

Just a few things ;)

First of all, Eren loves Mikasa, yep. Why are you looking at me like that? It’s true, I-It’s obvious like, we knew. And we are all blind. No no, I don’t want to hear your arguments, blind shitty person. What sorry, why did he reject her 1000000 times? Frrrr, well, because it’s funny, no? Don’t you agree?? And yeah obviously, he doesn’t want her to forget him. No no. What, chapter 138? Phhhh He was joking! Isn’t it funny?! Eren, what a prankster!

Second, Eren doesn’t give a fuck about the prettiest queen in the story of Anime, Historia. No he doesn’t. He doesn’t even talk about her with Armin. What, you again?? Ugh what? Why did he get so mad when they talked about sacrificing her? Well, he was, he was.... oh! Yeah! He was acting! Like, he was obviously acting! See, Eren’s a prankster and now also an actor! Woww! He’s so talented!

Third, Mikasa’s development in 138 was useless. Yeah, it was. Completely useless. The right thing to do is to mourn a dead head till the end. No, she didn’t kill Eren to set herself free, nah! It was all because, yeah, because... because she’s part of Eren’s gang of prankster! Hmmm, mmm. They are “the prankster siblings” oh no sorry, “the prankster loverswiththemosttoxicrelationshipinthestoryofHumanity”! Ahhh, what a long name! Mikasa won’t forget Eren. Never.

Cookpad Studio Shinigami-sai (Bleach Cafe)

The 9th themed cafe for Cookpad Studio in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, this time the theme is Bleach in order to celebrate its 20th anniversary. This cafe runs from the 7th of August 2020 until the 2nd of September 2020 with a special limited time menu and merchandise. In order to visit this cafe, you will need to make a (free) reservation which includes selecting which dishes you'd like to order ahead of time.

As for the menu, it features a selection of 3 dishes, 3 desserts, and 6 drinks. These menu items are each themed on various characters from Bleach. These characters include; Renji, Ichigo, Byakuya, Gin, Hitsugaya and Aizen.

I visited this cafe on the 29th of August 2020, the interior of the cafe was fairly plain, though they did have 2 screens displaying scenes from late in the Manga, as well as advertising Tite Kubo's new series 'Burn the Witch' getting an anime adaptation. Along with that, they also had a screen running a video guide on how to create Ichigo's Hamburger Steak dish if you wanted to try it yourself, which was pretty interesting!

For each dish you order, you'll receive a special random sticker of one of the characters. And for each drink, you'll get a postcard. (I was lucky enough to get all the characters I liked! Wow!)

I pre-ordered a main and a dessert. First was 'Renji's Roar Zabimaru! Tandori Chicken', which were skewers of chicken, zucchini and cherry tomatoes covered in cheese. They were slightly spicy and overall quite good.

As for the dessert, I went for 'Hitsugaya's Sit Upon the Frozen Heavens! Hyourinmaru Cheesecake'. It was just a plain cheesecake, but blue. No complaints, but not a stand out aside from it being quite pretty to look at.

Lastly, drinks can be ordered at any point during your stay at the cafe. I ordered two drinks, 'Getsuga Tenshou Lemon Mint Coke', and 'Shinsou Salty Lychee'. Both were very refreshing on such a hot day, but I think I preferred the Lemon Mint coke, the hint of mint and punch of lemon was a really nice combination.

In the end, while the cafe's appearance was quite plain, I was overall quite happy with the food and drinks. The staff were lovely, and I had a great time. I look forward to visiting the Cookpad Studio for more collab cafes in the future! (The Promised Neverland?!)

In the Heights Review: Lin-Manuel Miranda Musical Still Lights Up

Romance permeates Jon M. Chu’s big screen adaptation of In the Heights, like the aroma of charcoal on a summer day. Perhaps this should be obvious since the central conflict of the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical remains its two star-crossed couples working things out at the northern, tip-top peak of Manhattan. Yet that’s not where the movie’s true passion lies; like the source material before it, the In the Heights film’s real ardor is for the neighborhood of Washington Heights itself. How else could a picture so endear you to what is otherwise a cup of bodega coffee?

As a jubilant and kaleidoscopic love letter to the handful of city blocks which run adjacent to the George Washington Bridge, In the Heights bursts with a life and creativity that is often blinding, and always intoxicating. It lives in a postcard Neverland version of the usually overlooked and marginalized sides of New York City, yet that does not make it fanciful. Rather this is a movie head over heels in love with its street corners above 181st Street, and the largely Latinx community which lives there. And if you go into it with an open mind, you’ll fall, too. 

Ostensibly the story of Usnavi de la Vega (Anthony Ramos) and his quest to leave New York City behind in favor of his parents’ Dominican homeland, In the Heights opens after he’s already achieved his dream. He’s older now and recounting to his daughter on a Caribbean beach his memories of a community that is obviously still his real home. For back in the day, he was the young guy who owned the corner’s favorite bodega, and he knew everyone on the block.

There’s Benny (Corey Hawkins), Usnavi’s bestie and an ambitious dispatch caller at the local taxi cab service; Kevin (Jimmy Smits), the overachieving first generation immigrant who owns said taxi service; and Sonny (Gregory Diaz IV),  Usnavi’s teenage cousin who helps out at the store. But perhaps most importantly there’s Vanessa (Melissa Barrera), the aspiring fashion designer who also has plans of getting out of the hood—if only to West 4th Street—and who’s the apple of Usnavi’s eye.

Theirs is just one of the mildly complex romances at the heart of a film, which also focuses on the return of Nina (Leslie Grace), Kevin’s daughter who is home for the summer after her first year at Stanford. She is the golden child to both her father and all of Washington Heights—one of the “good ones” who made it out. It makes telling them all she dropped out that much harder, including Benny. Because, like Usnavi and Vanessa, theirs is an entire history of everything being left unsaid. Each couple, and all the familiar faces in their lives, is about to have a whirlwind summer filled with music, heartbreak, a rolling blackout, and just maybe a winning lottery ticket.

As with many stage-to-screen transfers, Chu’s adaptation of In the Heights struggles at times with its new format. The Broadway’s musical’s creators, Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame and Quiara Alegría Hudes, the latter of whom wrote the book for the show and has here penned the screenplay, are intimately involved in the film. And they’ve made a series of smart, savvy concessions to their new medium. Some songs have been moved around, others have been excised completely, and the wrap-around story with modern day Usnavi in his dream beach bar on a Dominican shoreline attempts to add more narrative structure for a film which is, at heart, a series of musical vignettes.

Still, In the Heights cannot wholly avoid the most familiar obstacles which have tripped up other Hollywood adaptations: the need to maintain as much of the musical material as possible from the show gives the film an occasionally shaggy quality as it meanders its way around every major set piece in its 143-minute running time, and ultimately overstays its welcome with maybe one too many toe-tappers.

With that said, it would take a real curmudgeon to focus on the minor narrative stumbles when there is so much exuberance emanating from Chu’s production and the kinetic ensemble. With its fusion of freestyle rap, salsa rhythms, and other blended Caribbean musical styles, this film erupts with an irresistible vitality every time its ensemble hits the asphalt.

Chu, who before Crazy Rich Asians cut his teeth by directing the best Step Up films, brings a familiar eye for propulsive choreography and joyful movement that made the dance sequences in those films into spectacles greater than most modern action movies. In the Heights is similarly ready to try on almost any creative hat for at least one musical number, such as when Usnavi, Benny, and Sonny break the fourth wall to sketch on the screen their wistful daydreams of what they’d do with a winning lottery ticket, or in the way Vanessa’s song about getting out leaves her entire block covered in the fabric she thinks will carry her off on a downtown train.

In lesser hands, these flourishes could fall into music video glibness, but they’re balanced by an entirely authentic ensemble and a beating heart beneath the razzle dazzle. Ramos particularly seems to be a talent on the make, trading in John Laurens’ blue coat and starched collar from Hamilton for a more laid back and movie star-ready affability. His Usnavi is charmingly big-hearted yet hints at deep waters beneath his calm surface. And, with all respect to Mr. Miranda, Ramos can sing “It Won’t Be Long Now” in a much fuller range.

Barrera’s Vanessa and Grace’s Nina also both have showstopping ballads that are sure to amass each an influx of fans. However, the solo number that lingers best belongs to Olga Merediz, whose Abuela Claudia is the surrogate grandmother to both Usnavi and the neighborhood. On paper, the part could easily be reduced to an archetype, but Merediz’s one major scene where she sings only to herself about a lifetime’s worth of regrets and slights after immigrating to the U.S. from Cuba 70 years ago elevates the films and adds texture to the Latino-American experience that In the Heights so celebrates.

More than its romantic will-they-or-won’t-they rendezvouses, it is the movie’s affection for the ties which bind first, second, and third generation Americans that becomes the picture’s real emotional resonance. The film version of In the Heights also updates that pride and anxiety with a new subplot involving Dreamers—undocumented young people who grew up and lived their entire lives in America—and the dread of being deported from the only home they’ve ever known.

Of course with a gushing heart on its sleeve, In the Heights is still a fairy tale in search of magic, not sorrow. Instead of ice castles or ancient kingdoms, however, its alchemy resides in salons with broken air conditioners and the sugar flavored ice shavings found in a Piragua guy’s cart (which, by the by, provides Miranda with a movie-stealing cameo). I’m not sure if it has the same complexity of music and narrative that propelled Miranda’s Hamilton into a phenomenon twice over, including last year’s Disney+ streaming event. But it won’t really matter to the countless new fans who will surely watch In the Heights on repeat—and hopefully on the biggest screen they can find.

In the Heights opens in theaters and on HBO Max on Friday, June 11.

KH was a very robust game, even moreso in the NA release where Kurt Zisa, Ice Titan and Sephiroth were included prior to the FM edition. It had four tournaments at Olympus Coliseum, each one also including a replay with just Sora and a replay under a timer. It had items in worlds that required abilities you pick up later to access, inviting revisiting those worlds. It had a 99 Dalmatian fetch quest across the worlds. It had Trinity Marks, many of which were the key to gaining those extra items or Dalmatians. It had minigames in 100 Acre Wood and Deep Jungle to beat times and get rewards from, Mushroom Heartless across the worlds to get rewards from, mastery over magic spells to get rewards from, postcards in Traverse Town to get rewards from, and of course Item Synthesis to get rewards from. Add in the Phantom secret boss, hitting all criteria to unlock the Secret Ending, and even playing around with the Gummi Ship if you actually liked that thing, and what more could you ask for?

Well, the FM edition did give us some more good stuff, mainly the new Difficulty Modes, “Skip Scene” function, three additional Ansem Reports that held crucial information, new Xemnas secret boss, and new Secret Ending that was even better than the original one. Everything else was kind of weak, especially the new scenes that weren’t the one that came along with the Xemnas fight, but that just goes to show how near complete the original edition truly was.

Yeah, see the problem with KH2 vanilla? Most of the side features were just minigames! Aside from tournaments in the Underworld that actually felt like a step down from KH’s tournaments, a Sephiroth secret boss fight that was definitely a step down from KH’s one, Item Synthesis which really hadn’t changed any since KH, a less engaging Secret Ending video...well, the Gummi Ship was a lot more fun this time around, so that’s something?    

There are seven features in the FM edition that really should have been there from the beginning to make it feel more complete: the new Difficulty Mode (Critical Mode did wonders for the game’s perception among players), all the new scenes that weren’t setting up a future title (so the 5 Organization XIII council scenes, the scene between Namine, Axel and Riku in Twilight Town, and the two Roxas flashbacks during the World That Never Was), the Limit Form and especially the Dodge Roll that came with it, the Roxas boss fight, the Absent Silhouette secret bosses, the XIII Mushroom Heartless, and the Puzzle Pieces which filled the role of Extra Items in Every World and a 99 Dalmatians-esque fetch quest both at once.

The rest could still be saved for the FM version, which is the definitive KH2 experience.

History repeats itself, as the vanilla version of BBS was even better in the NA release due to features being developed for the FM version being included: Critical Mode, a new Neverland-based Command Board, Stickers which served the same role as Puzzle Pieces from KH2:FM, and (regrettably) the Young Xehanort secret boss. After that, the FM edition is honestly a letdown: just the obligatory enemy recolors, special minigame Unversed that look like Absent Silhouettes, new Mirage Arena tournaments that include the new secret bosses that are as needlessly frustrating as the previous ones (except No Heart, he’s OK), and a new playable secret episode starring Aqua that ultimately serves to advertise a game that got cancelled and retooled into a tech demo for KH3. Honestly, I’d stick with the vanilla release.

So what’s disappointing people, again? Just look at all that content!

I don’t know what FM-style DLC will bring (except for a Critical Mode, which has actually been found in the game’s code), but what we got feels pretty complete already. The only thing I really find to be missing are coliseum tournaments at Olympus, since Battle Gates just don’t cut it for me, but otherwise everything needed to give you 40-60 hours of gameplay is there.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be getting back to searching for more Bistro ingredients...

1. What countries have you traveled to?

Ha, like if I traveled! Okay, I went to Switzerland with school to see the particle accelerator and 2 years ago I also went one week to Berlin with my friends.

Well, may I add that 2 years ago I also went to Andorra for a day with my family and we also crossed the border with France, but nothing else...

2. If you found $100 on the ground, what would you do with it?

Buy a tablet so I can draw digital art... Maybe It's not enough (idk I haven't checked the prizes) but then I'd save it in order to buy one!

3. What was the last gift you received?

Mmmh... I'm afraid the last thing I received were my Reyes Magos gifts😅 in particular a certain FMA book which arrived here week late...

(But now that I think about it... I also received a postcard from my friend from Finland and I consider that a present too😊! So that's gonna be the most recent one!)

4. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Noooo I love al lot of kinds of foods!! And I think that if I was only able to eat one of them I'd end up hating it😖 that's why I don't wanna choose a fave food here... Ugh, I'd die from hunger, next question!

5. What is your favorite holiday?

Mmm... Maybe Christmas? I'm not a religious person but it gives you the chance to reunite yourself with the family and receive some presents too...🙄

Loyalty, kindness and honesty.

Mmmh still on monday and it's not been my best tbh... But I have to admit that last week I enjoyed the updates of a certain fic🙄... (LCMTI)

Check tumblr... Tbh I should open this app less frequently for my own good but sometimes life is too much and I just wanna disconnect (that's what I'm doing rn answering this)

9. What movies have you re-watched the most number of times?

Peter Pan and Peter Pan Return to Neverland were my absolute favorite thing when I was little, I watched them every night before going to bed! (Also now that I'm older, whenever I have the chance, I still search in the sky for the second start to the right, I'm not joking...)

10. Have you read anything good recently?

Ha, bold of you to asume that I've read something after finishing FMA... (but really I used to read a lot back then but since the 6th of june of 2018 I've not finished reading anything!!! What did this series to me???)

Anyways, before manga arived to my life one of my very fave fantasy books, which I'll never stop recommending, was Uprooted by Naomi Novik, seriously, that book is pure magic, I could feel the magic through the words!! Go read it.
