your romantic f/o has suchhhh a huge crush on you‼️
they get butterflies whenever they look at you
they lay awake at night just thinking of you
they try to show off for you
they can’t help but stutter when they’re around you
they fidget with their hair or hands more
they offer to walk you home, or go with you to the store, any excuse to be around you
whenever you touch them, after you’re gone they lightly touch the same spot in awe
feel free to add more!!

Pairing: Ash (self-insert)/Balthus
Word Count: About 1.7k
Warnings: Swearing, vague descriptions of injuries and blood, some slightly suggestive lines, Ash is very much emotionally constipated.
Synopsis: After a late-night run-in with some mercenaries, Balthus stumbles back to Abyss bloody and bruised. The only person awake to heal him is the woman he always felt drawn to, Ash. Ash isn't used to having people in her life that she cared for, so why did the thought of him make her feel so... weak? Pre-relationship.
Having lived underground for years, the King of Grappling has little sense of day and night.
As he wipes some blood from his chest, he thinks to himself that clearly, neither did the men his stepmother sent after him.
I'm never coming back. What's it gonna take for that witch to realize that?!
Bloody and bruised, Balthus stumbles his way through the lush green grass of the Monastery to the dark and dusty walls of Abyss. The cold bricks and the horrible, sewer smell are little more of a comfort than the chill of the air outside, but he didn't hate it. A prison to others, a home to him.
Ash is disturbed from her late-night reading by the faint sound of heavy footsteps on the stone stairs leading down to this hell. It was typically dead silent at this hour, so to hear someone... Were they being attacked? But by only one man?
She looks around, and slowly steps out of the Shadow Library to see Abysskeeper on-guard as always. He gives her a look of acknowledgement. To that, Ash gives him a glare.
"I'll take care of it."
Her voice is deep and rough, just like how it always was. Abysskeeper took orders from no one, not even the Garreg Mach keeper whom he found to be more charming than he'd like to admit. And yet, he steps aside at Ash's word. Who was to deny one of Abyss' guardians herself?
... Especially since she'd probably stab him if he didn't.
Ash steps closer to the stairs as the footsteps get louder. A hand resting on the blade by her side, which served as a constant reminder of her being trapped in this world of fighting. There was no escape. Any blood spilled with repayed for more. A horrible cycle, and she was stuck in the middle of it, stuck in her past, stuck in Abyss, stuck in her feelings, stuck in a war, horrified and scared and-
Balthus.
Covered in bruises and cuts, Balthus wipes some of the blood from his cheek with the back of his hand. Ash's hand relaxes, falling back to her side.
"Balthus."
"Ash! Always a pleasure."
And Balthus flashes her a bloody, toothy grin. Ash just rolls her eyes, which Balthus seems to enjoy, judging by the way he threw his head back and laughed.
"Heartless as ever! You wound me, my lady."
Heartless...
Balthus thinks to himself,
She's far from it. I caught her teaching the kids how to read the other day.
Ash ignores the comment and just looks at him blanky. If she was concerned, she didn't show it. If only he knew the way she worried about him, having not come back until so late. What if something happened to him?!
"What happened to you?"
Balthus' expression hardens for a moment before resuming to his usual, easy smirk,
"Oh, you know how it goes, pal. One drink too many, a lost bet, and-"
"Predictable as ever. Pathetic."
But Ash couldn't just let him stand there all beat up. She couldn't bear the sight of him hurt, and she hated to admit it. Why did she care about him so much?
She reaches a hand out to his and grabs his wrist, pulling him into the Shadow Library.
"Woah there- Pal! What are you doing?"
"You're so... so stupid!"
"Jeez, you're mean... Now who's predictable?"
Ash shoves him down onto the table, and Balthus can't help but think that he likes it when she's that harsh with him. The way that her grip hurt so damn good, the way her hair fell in her face as her moved... She was intoxicating. Absolutely fucking intoxicating.
Ash takes off her own long coat and sets it down onto another table. Balthus notices that even through her sleeves, her arms look strong. And Balthus gladly drinks in the sight of her muscles, the healed scars on her forearms from a life of too much war.
"Didn't realize it was going to be this kind of encounter, but I don't mind."
"Shut up. Take off your jacket."
"Ooh, I like it when you talk to me like that, pal. Wanted to see me strip that bad, yeah?"
Ash's breath hitches in her throat. Fuck.
"That's not what I meant and you know it. You're injured and I wanna see-"
"You're not one to waste time... Of course you wanna see! Who'd pass up an opportunity to see the King of Grappling's iron bod?"
Ash groans,
"Can't you just shut up?! Let me heal you, you idiot! You think I'm not worried about you?!"
Ash crosses her arms over her chest. She hopes her yelling didn't wake any of the Abyssians.
Balthus' brown eyes go wide, but he quickly gathers himself and smiles as he takes off his jacket. Slow and steady, making it a show for her. She hates how much it affects her. Balthus was, without a doubt, the most muscular man she had ever seen. And he had a love for walking around shirtless, too. The way he moved...
Ash leans in and runs her fingers over his bare skin, over the defined muscles of his chest, over the bruises all over him. Her touch was light, too light. Balthus wanted more.
"That was one hell of a bar fight.."
Ash's voice is a quiet whisper as she feels his injuries. Feels him.
"I'm going to heal you."
And before Balthus can protest (not that he'd want to), Ash presses a hand to each of his injuries and casts her healing spells.
She casts her spells again and again, and Balthus can feel the pain start to fade away. To distract himself from the burning sting of his bruises fading, he looks at her. Watches her. The way her brown eyes narrowed in concentration...
Ash steps back after she completes her round of healing spells. Even after all her work, some blood remained.
Balthus shifts uncomfortably on the wooden table of the Shadow Library, glancing over at his arm. They cut him, too.
"I'll get bandages."
He's never heard Ash's voice so soft. Even with the healing spells, he couldn't deny that he was getting a little drowsy.
Ash comes back a minute or two later with the best supplies she could manage to get in a place like this. Perhaps she'd pay a visit to the surface soon, steal some new ones. And even if she did get caught, she'd make sure there wasn't a single person left alive to tell the tale.
Slowly but surely, Ash cleans Balthus' wounds. Balthus winces at the sting, but through gritted teeth, he can't resist being cheeky.
"Bet you like this, yeah? Hearing me squirm under your touch."
The best Ash offers him is a racing heart and a scoff,
"That's cute."
Ash presses down extra hard on his cuts, and Balthus yelps.
She looks into his eyes, her eyes just as hard as always, but her lips twitched up in a smirk,
"That's a good boy. Now shut up."
"Ouch... Bit of a sadistic one, aren't you?"
"Only sometimes."
Ash leans in close to see the injuries on his face. Goodness, she was so beautiful up close. Her hair, always a little messy fell into her face. She places a hand on his bare chest.
"Your heart is racing, Balthus. Don't tell me you like having me like this."
Balthus meets her gaze directly,
"One more word from you, pal, and I'll flip you onto this table. Show you who's King around here."
Ash chuckles,
"In this state, I'd like to see you try."
She leans in close to his ear, her voice a dark whisper,
"And who's to say I don't like it better when it's like this?"
Balthus chuckles, and Ash grabs for the bandages, carefully wrapping him up.
Her words were harsh, but her touch was gentle on his skin. Like she didn't want to hurt him even more.
They fall into a silence. Not quite awkward, not quite comfortable. The tension in the air made it hard for them to feel much of anything other than each other.
Inspecting her work, Ash steps away.
"You..."
Ash's voice trembles,
"You can't keep doing this... All you ever do is get beat up."
"It's what I do best, pal!"
"You're an idiot! I can't bear the sight of you like this."
"It's starting to sound to me like you care about my wellbeing."
Ash hesitates, and it takes her a second to respond, thinking about every single word. She couldn't let him know how she really felt. A woman like her didn't do love.
"You're important to the people in Abyss. So don't you dare get yourself killed."
She spends a moment with a hand on his chest, looking so deeply into his eyes. The moment feels like an eternity... But then she rips her gaze away and pulls back, and her touch seems to linger on his skin.
"I'm going to bed, Balthus. Goodnight."
Balthus straightens up on the table,
"Don't want company?"
"You'd wake Constance up. Then you'd be dead for real."
"How about my bed?"
"Then we'd wake Yuri up and never hear the end of it."
"Guess you're right about that, pal."*
Ash yawns before she can get another smart response out, and Balthus finds the gesture oddly cute. She couldn't be much older than him, and she looked so... soft. Sweet. Like there was more to her than he knew.
Ash picks up her coat and begins to walk away. Ash shoots him one last look before she leaves the library. Ash was always an enigma of sorts, and Balthus didn't put too much thought into understanding her. But there was something about that look that he couldn't quite decipher. He felt... odd.
And so, there Balthus is. Half-naked at the dead of night in the middle of the Shadow Library, left to deal with the dulling pain of his wounds (she was a great healer!) and the weird flutter in his chest all alone.
Great.

this will never be a fic but it also refuses to leave me alone so...braindump.
----
When Steve is a kid, everyone around him assumes he's going to be an alpha. His parents don't assume. They expect - or else. Because his parents believe in the whole big-strong-alpha/quiet-weak-omeganess of it all. And while female omegas are at least useful for procreation, male omegas? Useless wastes of space.
And as future alpha heir to the Harrington fortune and company, he must excel. Unfortunately, it's pretty apparent pretty quickly that he's not going to fulfill their expectations in school. His parents are...disappointed, to say it lightly, but academics aren't everything. At least he's "good-looking enough," according to his mother. They also sign him up for all the sports they can fit into his schedule.
Steve hates it. He likes sports, likes the physicality of it, loves the camaderie. But he hates how he's not allowed to do it on his own terms - even when his parents start to stay away for longer and longer business trips, the whole Loch Nore gossip pipeline works to keep him in his mother's control. "Steven, the Millers next door didn't see you jogging this week." Or "Oh, Steve, Mrs. Hagan told us about the tryouts. We really expected better of you." Or "Did you gain weight, Steven? You know you have to keep to the plan I made for you." He feels caged in, imprisoned by his parents' plans for him. But at the same time, rebellion feels impossible. (The concussion Jonathan will give him might not be his last, but it's also not his first.) So, he plays his role, plays by the rules even if they chafe and chafe and chafe. Enough to make him feel raw like an exposed nerve. Enough to make him lash out, to make him cruel.
November of 1983 comes around, and Steve is mostly on track with his parents' plan: he is co-captain of the swim team, captain of the basketball team, and his courtship of acceptable-to-his-parents Nancy Wheeler is going well. But then he gets his brain re-arranged by Jonathan, fights a demogorgon with a baseball bat, and two days later presents as an omega.
While his body tries to rearrange itself and fails, he huddles in his shower, cold water on blast, and gasps himself from one panic attack to the next. After, when he can put one foot in front of the other again without wanting to puke his guts out, he calls the number on the stack of government papers in a box under his bed and leverages his continued silence against a monthly supply of suppressants. Because, in his parents' eyes, a late bloomer is still better than an omega. Suppressants are mostly illegal, especially for underage omegas, but the government is happy to bend some rules as long as he keeps his mouth shut.
He knows he won't be able to keep this up forever. So he starts saving up and puts together a little go-bag for when the worst happens. As long as he has his suppressants, he might be able to bullshit himself into an apartment when the time comes. His grandfather left him a little bit of an inheritance. He tells his father that someone scratched up the Beemer and he had to use it for the autoshop. It doesn't go over well, but it's better than the alternative. He plays up his charmer reputation, helps out a couple of neighbors for a few bucks. Every dollar wanders into his freedom fund.
1985 is basically a cluster fuck from start to finish. He never tells Nancy about presenting, not after both her and Jonathan presented as alphas. (When he finds out about that, he takes the bat he never gave back, drives out to the junkyard, and beats the shit out of a couple of cars for hours. He keeps coming back in the following year. For a while, that's the only thing that keeps him sane some days. His own little violent form of therapy.) When Nancy starts on her quest for Barb, he understands, but he is doubly afraid of what will happen if she digs too deep, if his little deal with the government gets blown up by her need for justice. (And he knows, deep down, even if he told her she would not stop.)
And then...bullshit. He's bullshitbullshitbullshit. Everything is bullshit.
In the end, it's fucking Hargrove that blows up his little castle in the sky. After the tunnels, Hopper force-drives him to the ER, and Steve is too out of it to tell him why that is a really shitty idea. The hospital does a blood test. A blood test that shows very, very clearly the illegal suppressants in his blood.
They make him quit cold turkey and call his parents, who are apoplectic with anger. The concussion is the perfect opportunity to keep him isolated at home for weeks. It's enough time to rearrange his entire life. They practically rip apart his room. The money and go-bag they find result in another screaming lecture. The keys for the Beemer get confiscated until "he can be trusted." They pull him out of the basketball and swim teams because that's not proper for an omega. He gets signed up for home-ec and "omega studies" instead. Because, in the end, he might not be the alpha they wanted, but at least he can be used to sweeten a business deal of his father's choosing. ⁶
School becomes a new level of hell. His fall from grace a source for gossip and vitriol from the student population. He takes a page from the books of all the little socialites his mother made him meet and ices everyone out as best as he can. The king is dead, all hail the ice queen. He has the kids keep their distance, but now and again, he can sneak off for some quality time with them.
His encounters with the Upside Down have made him brave(r). He tries rebelling as best as he can. College is definitely off the table. Instead, he gets paraded around one alpha business partner after another like a piece of meat. He wishes he had access to his mother's drug stash to numb himself. But he does his best to make himself as unappealing as possible. Spills food on himself and/or his date, talks about inappropriate topics (he once spends twenty minutes interrupting some geriatric alpha asshole with random DnD facts he learned from Dustin - that one ends with a bruised cheek but he's a little bit proud of himself). Sometimes, he looks at his so-called prospects, stares them in the eyes, and thinks about the heft and weight of his nail bat (confiscated, thrown away and then saved from the trash can in the middle of the night when he crawled out of his bedroom window), thinks about the power needed to hit something and make it stay down, what it feels like to have skin and tissue give under nail-studded wood. He thinks about the smell of blood and fear and terror and watches those alphas recoil from whatever they see in his eyes.
The months after November 1984 are filled with screaming matches with his father and endless lectures from his mother on how to be the right kind of omega. She controls everything he wears and everything he eats. He loses weight, loses his strength. After his showers, Steve looks in the mirror and wants to scream. He is starting to disappear into another role his parents chose for him and he hates himself for it. He starts doing exercises at night to keep in shape as best as he can. His mother doesn't notice so long as his clothes still fit. It becomes a kind of solace, something he still has control over.
Shortly before graduation, his father loses his patience and makes him get a summer job at the new mall to "teach him a lesson." As if he wouldn't rather spend hours every day in some shitty minimal wage job than with another sexist alpha dickhead that just wants to put him on his knees. But his father actually thinks this is how he will finally see the light of an arranged marriage.
One of the only places hiring unbonded omegas is Scoops Ahoy. Their uniforms are, of course, terrible. There are men's uniforms with long pants, but of course, he gets one with short shorts. But Scoops isn't all bad. It gives him back a little bit of freedom. And, most importantly, that's how he meets Robin Buckley.
Robin Buckley hates him with a passion. The first time he comes in for a shift and she's there, she complains loudly and colorfully to their shift supervisor and later to Steve himself. But he can't even be angry because Robin is the first person in over half a year that gives zero fucks about his secondary gender and it's really fucking refreshing. Even the kids, even Nancy, couldn't get over his status. No wonder he never won a fight. No wonder he was a little slow on the uptake. No wonder he was a or b or c.
But Robin feels like the sun after a long, dark winter, and he's a flower, stretching his weak little petals towards her warmth and light. She doesn't give a shit about King Steve, doesn't give a shit about Omega Steve, only gives a shit about his prowess in slinging ice cream. After a week or two, she starts to warm up to him, going so far as to ask how he's doing when he has to miss three days of work for his heat. And despite the endless drudgery of a minimal wage job, it's fun. Robin is smart and sarcastic and reminds him of all his favorite people. For a while, things are...not great but good.
But of course, Upside Down shit happens. Russians happen. The fucking mindlflayer happens. Hopper dies.
He gains a soulmate, several new scars, another concussion, and a few broken ribs, and he loses what's left of his hearing in his left ear.
This time, when Owens puts down a stack of NDAs in front of him, Steve shamelessly asks for money put into an account under his own name - omega status be damned.
His parents lose their shit after they come home from the hospital. There's nothing to be done about his ear and the scars. His eyesight is bad enough now for glasses to be a must and not just a maybe. He's damaged goods and with that: useless.
His father gives him an ultimatum: he either chooses one of the eligible alphas in Hawkins to be mated, or he gets put into some camp for "problematic" omegas.
The binder that gets put in front of him is big, but the choices are grim. It's stuffed to the brim with all those asshole alphas from school who cornered him in the hallways. Who would love to beat the attitude out of him, who wanted to see him face down on the floor, just a wet hole for them to fuck.
Steve turns page after page after page until he gets from J to K to L to M. He flips a page, stops, and stares. At the top of the page, he reads:
Munson, Edward
And he doesn't need to see the picture to remember a boy. Tall and lanky, with long fluffy hair and big brown eyes, he came into Scoops Ahoy every Thursday for some kind of chocolate ice cream monstrosity. Robin and him got along like a house on fire, cracking jokes and making fun of the customers. He mostly ignored Steve. Except...except that one time Steve brought in two ice cream tubs, arms flexing, shirt riding up. And he remembers the look, remembers the bright red spreading across two freckled cheeks. And he also remembers passionate speeches in a cafeteria about forced conformity and sticking it to the man.
Steve takes a breath. He spreads his fingers across the picture in the binder, stares his father down, and says: "Him."

love grows where it is planted
"Oh shoot, I’m all out of hot pads,” Ma frowned looking at the feast she had made. “Temperature doesn’t bother you boys, can one of you bring the corn out to the table?”
“Got it,” Clark said, reaching for the pan.
“No sweat,” Conner said at the same time as he also reached for the pan. They stared at each other with near identical eyes, each of them with one grip on the handles of the dish.
“I said I got it,” Clark demurred politely, pulling the corn a little closer to him.
“Yeah and you already took out the potatoes so it’s only right that I bring out the corn,” Conner said with a frustrated frown. He tugged the dish closer to him. Clark was older, more responsible so he was supposed to be the bigger man and not roll his eyes and sigh. But it sure was hard to resist.
“Oh for goodness sake, you two,” Ma groaned, grabbing a thick towel off the stove and pulling the pan out of both of their hands. She bustled with it to the table and set it down with a mighty thunk. “I worked hard on this meal so I don’t think it’s too much to ask you two to behave.”
“Sorry Ma,” Clark apologized, seating himself at his usual spot at the dining room table. He never felt more like a kid than he did sitting here, the same table that somehow survived all through his childhood misadventures. Conner mumbled something to Ma before sitting down in a defeated slump. Clark raised an eyebrow, would it kill the kid to sit up straight for dinner?
“Right, it’s so nice to have both of my boys home,” Ma beamed between the two of them. “It’s been too long since we’ve shared a meal together.” Something that probably wasn’t a coincidence. Clark tended to announce his visits ahead of time only to arrive and find Conner had ‘business’ to attend to with the Titans. Or just Tim if Batman’s grumblings were anything to go by. Clark spent very little time with his clone and it seemed the feeling was mutual. So he must say he was a bit surprised when Ma asked him to fly down for dinner only to find Kon and Krypto playing in the field.
“Thank you, Ma’am, it smells amazing,” Kon said with a grin. He had his fork and knife in hand, clearly ready to get started.
“Conner, I’m no less your Ma when Clark is here so please stop it with that Ma’am nonsense,” she sighed. “And don’t wait on this old lady, dig in boys it’s not getting any warmer.”
Conversation proceeded well for the first part of the meal. Ma spoke of what the neighbors had been up to, how the corn had been doing this year. Clark explained the latest story he was researching, what trouble Lois was getting into and a funny story involving Jimmy the other day. Kon went into the details of a Titans mission, one Clark had gotten a briefing on last week. Clark waited for Ma to stop him but she seemed engaged, asking questions about the mission and the other teens. They looked so at ease together.
Clark stabbed at his porkchop. It would be stupid and petty to say he was annoyed of how well his mother and Conner got along. Ma had always been so strict with his powers growing up and, even as an adult, she didn’t like hearing about cape stuff when he came to visit. But Kon had been using his powers on and off all evening and, from the way it sounded, kept Ma up to date with his superheroics. The double standard just irked him, maybe this was why Bruce’s many, many children were always bickering.
“Alright, I hope you boys saved room for dessert. I made your favorites, apple for Clark and pecan for Conner,” Ma said, shuffling back into the kitchen, leaving Clark and Conner alone. The room fell into silence.
“Didn’t know you liked pecan pie,” Clark said awkwardly. “It was one of Pa’s favorites but I’m not a fan, Ma hasn’t made it in a while cause of it.”
“Oh I mean, all her pies are good, y’know?” Conner shrugged, playing with his fork. They didn’t speak again until Ma came back with two heaping pie slices for each of them.
“I can’t stomach another thing right now so I’ll just grab a coffee but I wanted to talk to you kids about something so stay there,” Ma said, talking as she poured her coffee. “It’s nothing bad I promise but it is important.”
“It’s about the farm,” Ma said finally as she settled herself down at the table. “I’m not going to live forever so I wanted to talk to you boys about what to do with it.”
“Ma,” Clark said, the apple pie turning bitter in his mouth. Losing Pa had devastated him, he didn’t even want to think about his mother...
“Put those big, wet eyes away, Clarkie,” Ma said sternly but softly as she gripped his hand. “Hopefully it’ll be a long ways off but it’s still something we need to discuss as a family.” She glanced over at Conner and reached for him with her other hand.
“Now right now, Clark gets everything: the house, the farm, the money, all of it. Course that will was made before Johnny died, before you came along, Conner.”
“Yeah but that shouldn’t make a difference,” Conner muttered, his shoulders hitching up to his ears. “I mean, Clark’s your kid, I don’t see why he shouldn’t get it. I really appreciate you letting me crash here but I’m just-”
“My grandbaby,” Ma interrupted squeezing his fingers. “I don’t care that you came from a test tube, you’re mine just as much as Clark is.” Clark averted his eyes so he didn’t have to see the soft, vulnerable look in the other’s eyes.
“Clark, you haven’t lived on this or any farm in a decade. You come out and help during the harvest but it’s not the same as running a farm full time,” Ma said turning back to him. “You’re a city boy now and I’m proud of you for finding your place so I can’t ask you to pack up and move back to Smallville.”
“I-” Clark started to defend but, once he thought about it, he thinks she was right. He loved this land but did he want to give up everything in Metropolis, his life with Lois, for it? Maintaining a farm wasn’t something that could be done part time.
“I’ve been thinking for a while of leaving the farm to Conner,” she continued.
“What?” Kon screeched, leaning over to choke on his bite of pie.
“Oh don’t act so shocked, you’re a natural,” Ma laughed. She glanced over at Clark with proud eyes. “Took him a bit to get the hang of it but he’s got a good sense of the land, of where to plant, how much to water. You don’t have Clark’s special touch with the livestock but you have the heart of a farmer, Conner Kent.”
“I don’t know,” Conner laughed awkwardly, flushing visibly from the praise. “I just did what you showed me to do. I mean I do, like it I mean. It’s peaceful, quiet, I like seeing the results of my work but I uh,” he looked down at his plate. “I don’t know if I could run this whole place by myself.”
“Well not even Superman can operate a farm even a small one alone, which is why Clark would help you,” Ma smiled. “He could still come down and help with the harvests, take over for a few days when you’re busy with you hero business. You would have the land and the house but maintaining it would be up to both of you.”
“I could help, tell you what my Pa taught me and work the land with you,” Clark said slowly. “If that’s what you’d like, I’d much prefer you to have it than to sell.” Conner was quiet across the table, Clark looked up was surprised to see the boy hunched over with his elbows on the table looking like he was doing his best to fight back tears.
“Oh baby,” Ma said, standing up and placing her hands on his shoulders.
“I’ve never had any place I really belonged, nothing that was mine,” Conner said thickly. “This land, it’s got a lot of love and history in it. You’d trust me with that?”
“Of course, Conner,” Ma leaned down and hugged him from behind. “A farm doesn’t care who you are or where you come from, all it cares is the love you give it. And I’ve seen you honey, you love these fields, these skies. God I wish Johnny had lived to have met you, you two would’ve gotten on so well.”
“Kon,” Clark said, the boy lifted his wet eyes to him. “This is your home, as much as it was mine. I love it too but it wasn’t what I needed but maybe it could be what you need.” Conner didn’t say anything just nodded his head and went back to looking at his plate. Ma stroked his hair a moment longer before giving him some space to clean up the plates.
Conner and the farm. It would have seemed unbelievable a few years ago but this boy seemed very different from the young clone Clark had first met. He’d done a lot of growing when Clark hadn’t been watching, become someone his father would have loved. Clark was sorry he missed that.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to convince Tim to move out of Gotham,” Conner said after a few minutes.
“What’s Tim got to do with this?” Clark blinked, Conner blushed again and ducked his head lower.
“You know I love Timmy but I’m telling you as your Ma; you wait until you’re out of high school before you put a ring on his finger, you hear?” Ma called from the kitchen. Now it was Clark’s turn to choke. He hadn’t realized Tim and Conner’s relationship had progressed so much. What else had he missed in Kon’s life while he was too busy feeling strange about the whole thing?
“I wasn’t gonna-” Kon blushed harder. “Yes, Ma.”
“Good, well I’m glad we had this talk. We’ll keep going over the specifics but I’d like to get that will changes sooner rather than later. That’s not something I want to leave to chance.” Ma smiled from the kitchen eyes landing softly first on Conner then on Clark. “Alright, lets get these dishes washed and dried so you kids can go for a little flight while the sun’s still up. Clark’s known these skies a lot longer than you, hun, I’m sure he can show you a few nice spots.”
“Yeah,” Clark smiled. “That’d be nice. What do you say, wanna go out for a spin?”
“Sounds good,” Kon smiled back shyly.
“You can tell me more about Tim,” Clark waggled his eyebrows. “He’s always so polite with him but Bruce acts like he’s some sort of gremlin. Who knew we’d both have tastes for trouble causing brunettes.”
“Clark,” Conner moaned, burying his face in his face.

yuri lowell:

#DCB Comments#keeping this off my tales blog/out of tags bc i know the heteronormatives will come for me LOL#with their heteronormative v3speria dub (yes the dub actually altered/watered down#his relationship with a man probably bc it was too undertoney for them and western media is allergic to that)#not pictured in this post: the way yuri is used in official artwork with other tales characters#and is often surrounded by men. or the comic of him admitting he's popular with guys#also not pictured: the way yuri's alts for gacha games often feature flynn's color coding#and/or both of their color coding mixed into his outfit or accessories#also not pictured: the way yuri's wedding outfit alt is flynn color coded#also not pictured: the way yuri's bouquet in the other picture of his first outfit on this post#is almost identical to flynn's ''joke weapon'' bouquet of roses in the game#also not pictured: the entire gacha game of rays (that's based off respective game canon). i can't explain that to you in just tags#also yes yuri has a metal corset in that fourth picture. i don't... know many men who wear a corset#and the only other one i know in this franchise is in fact also the other main m/m pairing in the franchise#i also don't know many manly straight men who the character designers dress and style like this#i just want you all to know. if you're looking for a non heteronormative man. yuri has you covered#just maybe not so much in the dub just ignore that LOL. also worth mentioning that#japan gets a L O T of extra yuri material thanks to gachas merch and other official side material#everything in this post is official artwork and the last one is from this year#it's merch up for pre-order for t@lfes so yes they're still playing with his hair LOL#and yes if you ever pick up his game i am here to advertise to you not to play the dub (even tho the text will still sometimes be wrong...)#i am in fact writing giant lengthy posts abt it on my tales blog so i will not explain to you here in these tags#but the dub sapped yuri of so much emotion to make him seem cool and edgy and more of a troll#instead of playful fun and silly and just a dork but who is emotional when it matters#woe is them to let yuri's voice shake with heartbreak when he's worried abt a man!#i bet the localizers didn't even realize the entire opening theme song was abt yuri and another man and their relationship#maybe one day i'll make a fun post with all of flynn's color coding slapped all over yuri#also i BET there's someone out there who will see this and be like ''she's reaching''#yeah i guess the official gacha game is reaching then too with how it treats yuri and flynn the same as the franchise's canon het pairs

imagine your seeing your f/o perform for the first time. their band was performing at the local fair so you decided to check them out. f/o was always raving about how good their band were and this was a chance for you to actually see them in action. you went with a few of your friends, going on rides and playing carnival games until it was time for f/o’s set. you couldn’t deny how talented they were and you were genuinely enjoying their performance. you were singing along to the songs you knew, dancing with your friends and cheering and applauding f/o’s band. it was nearing the end of their set and they did the usual thing of thanking the audience, and then thanking the council for allowing them to play today. then f/o says, “this final song goes out to a special someone in the crowd today. it’s their first time at one of our concerts and i really appreciate them coming.” your jaw drops when you hear the intro to your favourite song. you had played it on spotify for them a few weeks ago but didn’t think they’d remember it, let alone perform it for you! they make eye contact with you frequently during the song and smile at you each time. you’re singing along while trying to ignore the way your heart is racing and the burning sensation in your cheeks. it doesn’t take long for your friends to connect the dots and soon they are screaming “OH MY GOD!” while jumping and holding your hand. your f/o notices this and sends a wink in your direction. the song ends and although you’re cheering on the outside, the only thoughts swirling through your head are: they learned this song for me. they’re performing my favourite song. they’ve dedicated this song to me.

s16 we should get a macden sex scene where we get that sort of In-A-Box panning camera where we shift into a top down view of dens bed and it pans to den and he’s sweaty and his eyes are closed and he’s smiling and it keeps panning and we get to mac and he’s just like looking off to the side sort of giving like the Scratching My Head look because it was so ass. basically it was everything den has ever wanted but mac is so upset and scared because the pussy was trash and he doesn’t know if he can live with that in a relationship [it’s all in his head he was just so nervous he couldnt focus on the task that well and he’s self sabotaging almost. after they do it again he’s like wooooah.. woah] [this will not happen]
OHHH NO THAT'S SO GOOD I LOV THE WHOLE MAC SELF-SABOTAGING THING THAT'S LIKE... SO REAL??? 100% putting WAY too much pressure on himself (thnx to dennis tbh) meanwhile den is just like. content as could be, not a single goddamn complaint. tbh i think that's a lot more the core Macden dynamic... i like the running implication throughout the show that balance is restored to their relationship anytime they bang lolll (think s6/s15)
i rlly can see mac spending the whole time agonizing n weighing the Pros and the Cons n just catastrophizing to No End but then they bang a second-time n then shit's fine LOL very typical mac </3

“Everybody thinks we are closer friends than we actually are. We were both at Mainz but never worked together. I followed him again at Dortmund. Everybody thinks we are two buddies who share clubs. (...) We are not that close because we never worked together. When we meet it is always funny, it feels like a friendship.”

she's a messy bitch who likes to bully ppl, and he's in absolute shambles and positively simping. someone pls wrap him up in cotton wool and save him from embarrassing himself further
They were about a block away from her building when Asturias finally spoke up and said, "You look beautiful tonight, by the way." She raised a brow as she glanced at his beaming face. "I know." He looked at her expectantly, waiting for her to continue, but she never did, and he never prompted her for an answer beyond a slightly confused look. "Are you cold?" "It's 17 degrees out, hardly cold weather." "Well, there is a slight breeze." "Barely." It was admittedly quite cute how hard he was trying, and she found his crestfallen expression was even cuter.
