Sketchbook: Gortash
To prep for drawing Gorty for the Unwelcome Surprise mini comic, I did some doodles to catch his face shape and general attitude
You can kind of see me getting closer with each attempt. The last one was the one I ended up using.
He just has such a face, y’know?

Fluffbruary 2024 approaches!
Your mods are busy building the prompt list with words and images for our next fluffstravaganza ... and we wondered if you might want to help :D
If you've got a prompt or three to suggest —words or images— drop them in an ask and send them our way. We'll enter them into our sheet, remove any duplicates, randomize the list, and use the first 87 words/13 images for our prompts. We're looking for contributions until Dec 30, so we've got a couple days to sort the list and build the post so it's ready to go in early January to give us all time to prepare for Fluffbruary.
And this Fluffbruary will be EXTRA fluffy — it's a leap year, so we get a BONUS DAY OF FLUFF! All the woot!
Don't forget we've got one more 'extended edition' prompt to go: the January 14th prompts are miracle | vintage | cat, and this stunning image of the moon -

💞 Candy Heart Valentine Event Survey💞
Heyo everyone! I hope January is going well for you all! As we get closer to February the Candy Heart Event is starting soon (Jan 28!) This year I wanted to change things up and ask y'all for your thoughts on the prompts; which sentence starters you liked and which you wouldn't mind seeing replaced with new ones!
The form will be open until Jan 26, after that I'm closing it down and working on the official prompt sheet for then event. This is by no means mandatory- if y'all choose to fill out the survey I'd be incredibly grateful!
Thanks y'all and Happy Thursday!

Chapter 2: Zero-G Challenge
Narrated by no one.
Narrator: With the bamboo problem solved, Momo faces only one more issue.
Narrator: “Space Panda” takes place on a spaceship where there’s no gravity. If Momo wants to act and sound natural, he’ll have to practice in zero-g.
Momo: ...But the producers have a budget! They won’t be able to rent zero-g rooms for me to practice in!
Narrator: Momo makes a Moments post sharing his frustrations, hoping to find a suitable and cheap zero-g room. The moment the post is live, he gets a notification.
Marina: Momo! I heard you’re making a movie! How could you do fun stuff like that without telling me and Aeon!
Marina: We can put together a zero-g studio on the Ark. Not only can you experience zero gravity there, but you can also get it all on camera!
Momo: Wonderful! I’ll have a place to rehearse in!
Narrator: The Ark’s zero-g studio was put together very well. Marina heads into the area first, doing a simple flip while tugging on the rings attached to the ceiling.
Marina: Momo, come try!
Momo: I’m diving in!
Narrator: Momo charges into the zero-g zone full of confidence, and takes a leap just like Marina, reaching his paws out to the rings.
Narrator: Thud! Momo’s short paws miss the rings, and he crashes into the ceiling.
Marina: Don’t panic! Turn around, then slowly regain your balance!
Narrator: Momo turns and takes a deep breath, but in doing so pops one of the buttons holding back his plump, BBQ-and-bamboo-rice-filled belly.
Narrator: In a panic, Momo loses his balance again and clumsily sails from one end of the zero-g zone to the other.
Momo: Ahhhhhhhhh!
Narrator: A camera originally fixed on the ceiling topples over because of Momo. Nikki’s backpack, still held in Momo’s death-grip, enters the fray as well.
Narrator: The unzipped backpack scatters its contents across the zero-g studio. Every kind of snack imaginable floats in the air like stars.
Momo: My BBQ! Beef jerky! And my egg yolk pastries!
Narrator: As Momo flails desperately in the air, the motion-activated camera jerks to life, snapping photos of all his exaggerated movements.
Narrator: With the first attempt at zero-g training now over, the group crowds around the camera.
Momo: ...Not another soul can ever lay eyes on these photos, or my reputation will be ruined forever!
Nikki: This one looks pretty good, Momo.
Momo: Spare your empty words, Nikki. There’s nothing left for me in this world but shame...
Nikki: It’s true! This one caught the moment you grabbed the snacks. The pose and expression are good.
Marina: Would you look at that! Momo can’t grab rings, but not even the tiniest bag of snacks can escape his claws.
Choose “This must be the power of ‘true love.’”
You: This must be the power of “true love.”
Nikki: We should be able to help Momo train if we make use of this!
Momo: Let’s try it!
Narrator: This time, Nikki starts tossing snacks into the zero-g zone, and Momo deftly snatches them out of the air, adapting to the new environment in no time!
Narrator: Momo does a nimble flip and kicks off from a wall, sailing a great distance before snapping up the last piece of BBQ.
Momo: Burp! Operation BBQ Hunt successfully completed!
Momo: Only a nimble and lithe cat such as I can bring the role of Captain Panda to life!
Narrator: Momo rubs his full belly, burps again, and cracks a satisfied grin.

Personal Mrs. Afton Design Concept Art
Okay, prepping for @ryemackerel’s DTIYS with finally nailing down my Mrs. Afton design. Though I like the idea about her looking like Elizabeth because genetics, Ballora’s eye color and the hairstyle the Afton Table bot had are making me want to tweak her a bit. Same goes for the proportions, which I took from Ballora.

Hey remember these and how I said I had plans?
Plans:
Kinda hard to see, I know.
Worried I might have to delay because my transfer tape is too weak to use on anything other than my light and extra-light sandblasting vinyl, but turns out regular ol' masking tape works just fine when there aren't a million tiny details in the design.
Applied to the bottles and ready for weeding/masking.
I leave the tops unmasked so the sandblasting roughs up the surface of the threads a little bit for better epoxy adhesion when I glue the lids on later.
(Somehow missed the symbol for "This Endless Endeavour" so I'll have to fix that. Either it is on a separate piece of vinyl that I misplaced somewhere, or I forgot to include it entirely when I was doing layout.)
