“I don’t know why you brought me here,” she says as she spins around to face him, trying to make sure she doesn’t walk into one of the loitering project members. “Sure, the idea of a safe space for supernaturals seems nice in theory and I like that your brother wants to protect us. But…,” she trails off.

John narrows his eyes at her. He’s been exasperated by her this whole tour; her lack of enthusiasm wearing on him. “But what?”

“But all of your rules make it seem like a cult, you know? Vamps, wolves, and witches rarely attack humans anymore. For a powerful family, you guys sure are afraid of other supernatural beings.”

“You all need discipline. That’s what the rules are for. It’s for the greater good.”

Charlie wants to roll her eyes at John’s explanation but refrains. Of course this place seems like a fucking cult. The superiority complex the project members have over being supernatural combined with the isolation they have from the outside world is alarming, to say the least. What are the Seeds so afraid of?

“Discipline?,” she scoffs, moving to stand in front of her companion now. “Like how all you vamps only drink bunny blood? No wonder you all look so famished.”

Charlie holds out her bare wrist as she looks up at John with a coy gaze. “Have you ever tasted a witch before?”

this was sent in forever ago and iirc the asker is now inactive but i FINALLY wrote a little Atlas x Arcade piece i still wanted to share :)

“-and I don’t know if you were joking about thinking I was a ‘strong, handsome’ doctor or if all the times you hung on me were just when you were drunk, o-or high, or just cause you were horny or lonely but…I like you, Atlas. And maybe that sounds childish or pathetic or stupid to someone like you but I do. I like you a lot.” Arcade’s pale cheeks flushed red, his eyes downcast in the low light of the Lucky 38’s Presidential Suite. “And I care about you, and I want to be around you and keep you safe and spend time with you.” The scientist shyly raises his gaze to Six’s, his hand shaking as it seems to go to reach for his cheek, before pulling back and finding a home back in Gannon’s lap.

“Anyways…you don’t need to return my feelings. Maybe I don’t really expect you to, anyways, and that’s fine. I…I just wanted to tell you.” And just like that he gets up, smoothing out the wrinkles in his pants, and leaves the room and Atlas alone.

Huh. That hasn’t happened before.

Almost any time the Courier had come to grow intimate with someone, there was always an assumed expiration date. He kept himself just distant enough to draw interest, before eventually pulling away completely. And sure, some would let him go, and he’d relish the idea of being “the one who got away.” But hell, even the men and women who’d fawn after him once they spent a night together would at least take the time to yearn for him publicly. He loved that chase, a desperate cat and mouse with only one ending. They’d turn up, dressed to the nines, just “happening” to be at the same place as Six. And sure, maybe he’d be pulled into bed for another night by the flattery, but eventually he left. There was a sort of satisfaction in leaving someone wanting more. It made him feel special— to be so desirable and yet so attractively unattainable, to leave someone longing after the idea of “what could have been.”

But here he was, alone, and with Arcade’s confessed feelings hanging in the air, unburdening the scientist and yet placing a new kind of pressure on Six’s shoulders he hadn’t felt before. The flirting and touching and teasing the two had shared was fun, of course— Atlas wouldn’t have done it if it wasn’t. But just as it was with all people the Courier fell for, he had expected his feelings to be left unrequited and undiscussed, especially when it came to him.

Arcade was just too good for him.

Gannon is a scientist, a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse. He could answer any stupid question Six had, and had kept him alive more times than he could count. The blonde knew how to repair power armor and energy weapons; he had a unique understanding of the robots they encountered across the Mojave; and still he chose to stick around. Atlas had betrayed his trust so often— going against his advice, leaving him alone without warning, forcing him into things he hated or found annoying, making him worry over his health or wellbeing. If anything, he thought the scientist simply followed him out of guilt, like he felt obligated to keep him alive because it seemed like nobody else cared to.

So why the hell would he be interested in someone like me?

9. Do their friends and family like their significant other(s)?

Everyone Sharky knows loved Ramona before they even officially got together, so she’s good. Ramona’s parents were kind of suspicious of Sharky considering his track record and reputation. But that suspicion goes out window on mom’s part when Sharky says “’Mona I didn’t know you had an older sister” when they first meet.

14. What song fits them perfectly?

As much as I would like to say “My Sharona” by The Knack or “That’s the Way of the World” by Earth, Wind, and Fire due to their current ship name. So I’m gonna say “Like a Star” by Corinne Bailey Rae(Cori is named after her btw). J-just read these lyrics:

21. Are they interested in having children? Why or why not?

Yes. But they never get to in their main “canon”. So I’ve entertained the idea of a Family AU by creating Cori, their daughter.

35. How do they deal with being away from each other for a long time?

They don’t. If the two have to be apart for along time for some reason, they cope by calling each other late into the night or sending pictures.

50. Who would protect who in a dangerous situation?

Sharky does most of the protecting. Truth be told, he had my heart with this line:

You been marked by John, huh? Well don't beat yourself up. Everyone gets marked eventually. However I'm guessin' you got bumped to the top of his shit list, so keep an eye over your shoulder when I'm not around to protect you.
