I'm a college student working on a creative research project about the queer history of the west and the modern day perceptions and uses of the cowboy as a symbol by queer people. I'm consolidating this information with the tropes and imagery of the western genre, particularly film.

This form is a part of my research because I'm interested in more personal and specific feelings about these topics.

There is no requirement to answer all of the questions and any personal info (preferred names or contact info) will be kept out of the final artwork and writing I do as they are options provided in case you are open to potential follow up questions.

John Constantine, I started reading some of his comics and that guy's a bit more pathetic than I initially expected. His little entourage of ghosts he's pissed off/collected is super fun though, it's an incredibly versatile tool if you want to build a story off him.

Imagine Adult Ghost King Danny notices a bunch of ghosts that usually haunt pretty specific spots on the mortal plane are all of a sudden mobile and following the same guy.

He goes to investigate the mild disturbance and lo and behold they're getting all mixed up in demon shit because this British asshole is using their presence as tools to lure things in. Cue John getting chewed out by some ghost guy who is absolutely fucking pissed while he rounds up all the ghosts like some kind of hen tucking chicks under his wings.

I've been tossing him around in my head like one of those popping dice rollers.

Hello, I am Azzy. My love for dating sims was recently reignited and I had an idea for my own sort of dating sim with some of my OCS. I had been trying to create a story with them, and I realized this would be a perfect medium to share this story.

However, I am not that well verse in the dating sim genre. I am unsure of what makes a good/interesting dating sim. So i figured I ask here!

EVEN MORE CONTEXT:

To be exact, I want to use my robot oc's as the main characters. The plot would be you, the player, are a human who suddenly wakes up in a robot city. A strange scientist takes interest in you and offers you a place to stay and a job if you help him complete his newest experiment:

The RelationTracker App (Name Pending)!

With this app, you'll meet new romancables and will be able to befriend, and potentially date, some of them! However all of these romancables are actually this scientist's creations! And boy do all of them have trauma from this jerkwad. Through your talking sessions with them, you'll be able to uncover all of their darkest secrets and will be able to change their life for the better or for the worse.

That's it for now. I wanna get some feedback before I go any further. I'm thinking, a mix of Huniepop and Groom Of Gallagher Mansion in terms of mechanics.

So went to the chiropractor and my thumb was dislocated. Again. Specifically the Scaphoid. We managed to pop it back in, but it seems like this is going to be a more common occurrence going forward. TLDR going to need to avoid drawing for a few days (though I seriously need to get to work on some Zine updates that are coming up).

ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?: First name, no. But my middle name is after one of my great-grandmothers.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?: A few weeks ago, some creep was not-so-subtlely following me in the park and actually chased me as I fled in my car. I reported him to the police and cried when I got home. That was one of the most terrifying things I've ever been through.

Without a doubt, I fell head over heels for the prince of Charming, Jax Teller. It was easy to catch feelings for him especially in season one. His mindset and personality was 10/10 however, when he became king and lost sight of the end-game, I still loved him as much.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑰 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒔 𝑰 𝒅𝒐 𝒏𝒐𝒘:

Tig goddamn Trager. I wasn't big on him early on in the show as he was quite sadistic, foul and so loyal to the wrong man (Clay) but as he grew with the crew, he really opened up. Seeing his vulnerable side mixed in with his psychotic side was a dream, I thoroughly enjoyed him throughout the rest of the seasons. You just knew if shit was going down, Tig was always willing to get dirty.

Juice Ortiz. He was amusing in the start and possessed such great potential but as soon as he started crossing the club, all I could see was a RAT. The fact that Chibs heard him out in that bathroom, consoled him and let him cry just for Juice to turn and look in the mirror to accept the fact he was going to continue talking to the Feds I then very very much disliked him. ALSO he killed Miles, just to cover up his own betrayal!? Dirty.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔:

  Tara. I will never understand why the fandom seems to dislike her. She out of most characters, in my eyes, suffered the most; she fought to contain the love her and Jax shared. She tried to live the life, to be an old lady, to give it a chance. If I were in her shoes, I'd understand the fear of raising baby boys in that lifestyle, and since Jax promised her they could have a life of their own, she was desperate to achieve it. She lost her dream, her job, her relationship with Jax and then her life. Still kills me to this day.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑰 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓:

 I loved Gemma, but then I loved to hate her. She was fierce, empowering, resilient and took no shit. She eventually took Tara in and bonded with her as an attempt to be a family for Jax (When she helped Tara release anger by firing rounds into Ima's car, ICONIC) But as we all know, the gavel corrupts and those around, get fucked up. Gemma lost her way, and dug a hole so deep, it became a void of lies, secrets and schemes. Like SO many people died because of her. She is the true villain of the show.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑰 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒔𝒎𝒐𝒐𝒄𝒉:

 I'd want to be like Chibs. Chibs was always level headed, made his decisions by logic over emotions. He is dedicated, selfless, supportive and loyal. He wasn't afraid to cry when he needed, and he wasn't afraid to slap a bitch either. He was always able to remain content, not get greedy and do what was best for the club.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑰’𝒅 𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒑:

 If I had to choose just one, I'd most likely slap Clay' with all my rings on. The damage he caused, was far and wide and unrepairable. The deaths he set up - I couldn't believe it. he had no issues killing/trying to kill old ladies.. Donna, Gemma, Tara.. but for SOME reason, I still felt for him the tiniest bit when he met Mr. Mayhem but it was more relieving then anything else.

𝑨 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆:

 Jax and Tara. I really really fell in love watching them fall in love. Highschool sweethearts. Doctor married to an outlaw. It's just poetic. The chemistry was so visible, whether it was just really great acting or the actors felt some kind of way about each other, It was obvious.

TIG AND VENUS! A pairing I never saw coming, but could not get enough of! I'll always remember the line "She tends to dilly dally" and Jax realizing Tig is hooked - "Should I be worried?" Gets me every time!

𝑨 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒔𝒆:

Not exactly a couple, however... Nero and Wendy riding off in the sunset together with Thomas and Abel felt so... wrong. I was never a big fan of Wendy, she was a struggling junkie throughout the entire show, she felt compelled to assert herself into Jax's life whenever possible including RIGHT after Tara dies!? Like, settle down. Nero is such a dad, and a supporting member of the show. I just felt like he was going to raise those little boys on his own, including take care of a grown ass woman, cause that's Wendy for you.

Damon. I fucking hated him. He's the reason Opie died, brutally. He's the reason Jax started going off the deep end, and he burned Tig's daughter alive. Just disgusting! The fact that he actually believed he was "mentoring" Jax into being a better player, a proper king, shows how narcissistic he was, yuck!

Which character death affected you the most?

Opie Winston. I just didn't see it coming. The man that lost both his wife and dad and unborn baby (Lyla) I didn't think he'd bite the bullet too. The fact that he sacrificed himself, is what hurts the most. The entire scene will always send me shivers and never fail to make me a sobbing mess. RIP Opie, you were a real one.

currently watching: the most recent thing I "watched" was The Dropout on Hulu, but the thing that is ongoing "watching" is The Librarian/s verse. (I say "watching" because I mostly listen in the background and look up occasionally while sewing.) So if we want actual watching, I guess that would be Liebes Kind/Dear Child, but again that is completed and not an ongoing thing.

other stuff I watched this year: our flag means death, what we do in the shadows seasons 4 and 5, all the seasons of only murders in the building, all the seasons and the movie of Miss Fisher's Murder mysteries (the Phryne Fisher version), the new quantum leap, Maniac, The Path... Honestly it's wild how much TV I have watched this year, I've been doing a lot of sewing.

currently reading: Feet of clay--a study of gurus by Anthony storr; Kingdom of nauvoo by Benjamin f Park; the Enchanted Castle by Edith nesbit; Dracula by Bram Stoker (in Dracula Daily Order); also there are lots of modern (last three decades) novels I have picked up recently and not been able to get very far in because apparently I am not in the brain space for any original fiction written after 1910. I think I should probably give up and go back to Dickens and Austen and the Bronte sisters, which I haven't read in a while. (I am pretty much always reading one thing or another by Nesbit.)

currently listening to: three of the above are audio books. My favorite recently discovered podcast is Overcoming Compulsive Hoarding. I don't have hoarding disorder but this is just a darn good mental health podcast in general. I highly recommend it. When it is no longer a new podcast to me, it will enter the realm of comfort podcast (ones I like to re-listen to). Other comfort podcasts are Coffee & Cults, Maintenance Phase, and Be Uncluttered. Today I listened to the latest episode of Oh No Ross and Carrie and most weeks I listen to Mormon Stories, except when I get sick of it and need a break.

currently working on: the same quilt I've been working on for the past year or so. And of course Mormon!Klaine (though TBH with the cat dying and migraines, not as much as I'd like).

current obsession: the quilt and mormon!klaine. Sewing reflective tape onto clothing, bags, umbrellas, etc. Also, using up as many arcane ingredients in our pantry as possible. Recently, I used the last of the orange extract and fennel seeds to make granola bars (sounds weird, tasted great!), the arrowroot powder in pumpkin bread and Filipino uraro cookies, the oat fiber to make muffins that didn't taste exactly like sawdust; and the mustard seeds to make cocoa mustard (which sounds weird but is actually yummy, if you like mustard). Next in line is Austrian poppy seed and nut cake to use up the rest of the 1-pound bag of poppy seeds. There's no wheat flour in it, you grind up the poppy seeds and the nuts to make a flour.
