this clip has me in hysterics. Tupp going “YOYOYOYOYOYO WAITWAITWAIT I CANT CLIMB THAT FAST” and Rapp just GLIDING effortlessly up the cliff is SENDING ME
What would be Napoleon and Rapp’s thoughts on being in a three-way relationship with each other and Master? Rapp and Naps are so lovely together and I need them both fr ‼️
• For Napoleon, including Rapp in his relationship with Master seems only natural. Rapp is precious to him too, and he has plenty of love to give to both of his most beloved people! Since he sees himself as "human", the relationship tends to resemble a group of lovers more so than a Master and two of their weapons— and whether he's interacting with Rapp or his Master, Napoleon is equally (and overwhelmingly) affectionate. He'll go out of his way to coax Rapp into opening up more, too, though that "helpful" meddling often embarrasses his fellow gun more than anything.
• For Rapp, a three-way relationship like that changes a lot. Playing into Napoleon's delusions means that he has to suppress many of the behaviors that feel more natural for a weapon; he can't let himself look too desperate when he has a role to perform, after all. It's even harder to open up and be vulnerable when there are two people to witness it (and two very different standards for him to meet), but Rapp still finds some level of comfort in Napoleon's presence. Knowing he's not navigating this unfamiliar relationship alone really does help him relax, in the long run.
• Overall, the two of them do wonderfully with sharing a partner. Especially when that partner is Master, their prior compatibility works well with the mutual, instinctive adoration they both have for their owner. Rapp already knows how to manage Napoleon, too, while Napoleon knows the subtle signs that indicate when Rapp is struggling (but won't admit it). They're both loyal, doting partners, even if their ways of showing that are all but opposite.
