This was posted today by DM and I've gotten a few asks about this and if I think it's possible:
Tumblr media
Considering that Chris is back in MA and RDJ visited MIT, it's possible they were there together.

The original six, or the retirees
Tumblr media
Hi everyone,
I think everyone knows these 6 people but I will introduce them to you again : Steve Rogers, soldier of the second world war, adorable but moralizing on the edges ; Tony Stark, a genius, but who finds it difficult to hear the opinion of others ; Natasha Romanoff, the most badass woman that ever existed ; Bruce Banner, he had an anger problem, but it's better, and above all, he's also a genius ; Thor Odinson he's not the person we meet most often, but he's the funniest, a demi-god always has plenty of stories to tell ; and finally Clint Barton, an incredible archer who always looks bored, but who really loves us all.
I live with many more people, but i will talk about them later.
Me, it's y/n Y/L/N, my power is *insert the power you want*, and i'm happy to share with you the life of an Avengers with the Avengers.
I have knife training, i have to go but see you soon.
Y/n

I have way too many feels over losing my feels for the MCU.
Stucky was my top otp for a long time, and each instalment of the MCU was something I thirsted over. Sam, Steve, Natasha were my ultimate brot3, and with Bucky, the quartet I dreamed of seeing since CA:tWS in 2014.
It’s a combination of Endgame truly feeling like the end of an era, my era, and Steve’s (and Natasha’s, to whatever extent) ending being really disappointing. I know that much of it couldn’t necessarily be avoided, with the end of Phase 3 also marking the exits of CEvans, RDJ, and ScarJo, but it still took the wind out of my sails a bit.
I still come back to my fave Stucky fics, posts, and blogs, on occasion. But that feeling of anticipation, that even if they wouldn’t be canon, they could still have a happy ending, crumbled to dust with Endgame.
Anyway, thanks for reading my sad nostalgic rant.

Concept, Angel Steve and Vessel Tony: Tony has to deal with being “worthy” and the concept of a higher power and sharing his body/brain etc (dunno if it’s the spn rules of “needs consent” but if so I assume Tony says yes instinctively as a “what’s this going to do??” rather then any existing faith in himself or coercion from Steve. Also I’d assume even if it isn’t “necessary” Steve would Steve want consent for this anyway)
Steve having to learn that this man, that seems completely at odds with what he’s been taught/programmed to see as righteous and holy, is still a good man deep down. And Steve letting HIMSELF feel his own feelings and stop hiding his emotions and flaws lest he be labeled a bad/rebel angel…etc not a perfect soldier (of god) but a good [person] and all that
Maybe Tony is even making it SUPER hard for Steve, who can even see Tony’s internal workings as part of the time share agreement. So Steve can’t even read his mind or feel his emotions to see how good and caring this snarky man that ISN’T HELPING with his color commentary as Steve tries steering their body thru his mission and is having trouble talking to other humans
And we have the joy of picturing/watching by RDJ swapping between Tony and Angel!Steve. Eventually Steve gets his own Cevans shaped vessel or something then they smooch the end lol
---
A very good concept, lots of good things! The arguments they can have in their shared headspace! But then gotta let Steve have his horizons broadened via Tony in terms of becoming aware of how on Earth the right thing to do isn't always as clear cut as it seems, let alone causes zero harm in the fallout, plus Tony learning to accept self-forgiveness via Steve and develop his own ideas of what a good person can look like...
Anyway HEY let's throw a little peril in there when the stakes are and high and the chips are down in a major cosmic fight and Tony, who Steve realizes may understand even better than Steve does what it means to do things for the greater good, tells Steve to go for the big punch to seal
"It'll destroy you," Steve protests, in their currently-shared head. "I'll be fine, but your body -- it can't bear it."
"That's fine," Tony says, "You can get another one after."
"What."
"There are like 8 billion people on Earth, you'll find another vessel, no prob."
"WHAT."

it's so understated how in 2015 marvel had a shakeup for who was in charge of their stories in both comics and film and after those changes Bucky's character began to effectively be scuttled and written out of his original stories and his character arcs cut short/removed/or completely undone... DESPITE CATWS(2014)'s critical & popular success in not only adapting Bucky but also making him even more important to the main story and elevating his character and setting up a big character arc...
but post-2015 apparently hated this newfound popularity and elevation of the character and independently decided to "punish" him in both movies and comics and knock him off the "A-lister" category and turn him into a non-entity in the story and even general fanbases
MCU Bucky's "knock off the pedestal" was egregious since his character arc only got setup before 2015 happened, but comic Bucky's "punishment" from powers-that-be is egregious in that years of character development and arcs and storylines he had were rendered moot and meaningless as post-2015 marvel regressed his character back into the Winter Soldier in nearly every way (which gets worse as time goes on) and effectively turned him into a fanonized version of himself in the eyes of a super casual fan who knows Bucky as a Nazi assassin (since post-2015 Marvel insists on presenting his exploitation by Hydra that way)
since 2015, both comics and film Marvel took a character that was either set up to be or already was a core part of the cast and was expected or already had a massive character arc that spans years, and then pushed that character out of the main story, decided that his important in Steve's life need to be diminished lest he takes up too much space in the canon, decided that someone enslaved by Nazis can't be a hero or have a compelling story moving on from that trauma, and just shoves him into side character/team role or out-of-character antagonist depending on what role they frivolously decide to write him as for the run/project
I almost wish SebStan would fuck some preposterous A-lister just so that they could be made to eat their words by actually treating his character properly.
(Or, at this point, just with basic respect. It is shocking to see the difference in how even Cevans is treated versus stars like RDJ who had so much creative control and clout in regards to screentime & content.)
And what they're doing to comics is genuinely horrifying because the whole point was to keep those two separate so that an important medium wouldn't be tainted by a shitty adaption. Now the comics are warped and twisted, clipped and pruned, to fit the shitty adaption.

kinda surprised scarlet wasn’t spotted in boston. i thought she and cevans were close. maybe she was more discreet.
I think scarlet overall values privacy more than th he ones who were spotted. RDJ, Chris, and Renner aren’t that secretive about their families so I don’t think they really view it as a big deal. But that’s just my opinion.

with some of the mcu cast’s comments on z’s post now i’m wondering how much they knew about them the first time? like did cevans, anthony mackie or seb stan know? did rdj or mark ruffalo know? brie larson or leticia wright? i think leticia and the ffh cast went somewhere while they were in london.
I'm pretty sure most of the Marvel family knew. Tom could barely keep it a secret from a fan years ago that he had a girlfriend. There's no way his cast mates didn't know that they were dating lol. 😅🤣
I feel like people close to them all knew (even the MEDIA knew, c'mon now... 😏). Plus, in regular conversation it's hard NOT to mention your "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" because you're usually doing things with them, or calling or texting them, like they typically come up in regular conversation sometimes.
I'm not sure about other actors that he didn't really work super closely with like Leticia or Brie, but RDJ, Mark, Chris, etc. I'm pretty sure they knew. I have always suspected that when Tom visited RDJ in LA/Malibu that year and went hiking with him after he and Z went through their breakup, I have always felt that RDJ was partly trying to encourage Tom cuz he was going through a LOT back then...the Tomdaya breakup, the Sony/Disney fiasco....The Tolivia/media frenzy/invasion of privacy, etc....
Idk why, but that was always the impression that I got. 🤷
RDJ is like his second dad lol.... 😅 He has probably given him a LOT of great advice on how to handle certain things in the public eye, and how he personally learned a lot through his own mistakes.

What do you think of people who hate Tony for not reversing the snap (& thereby erasing morgan & anyone who was born during the blip)???
people hate him for HUH? 😭
i feel like that was really more of an outside-the-movie decision because if he reversed the snap completely, phase 4 wouldn't have as much to play with. they had to retire rdj and cevans and wanted to give their characters a proper goodbye, wanda wouldn't have lost vision➡️no wandavision show, loki wouldn't have changed timelines➡️no loki show, there would be no flagsmashers➡️no tfatws, stuff like that
i think reversing the blip might be worse for tony's character because the avengers all agreed together to bring everyone back, and tony did that and accomplished the team's goal. i also think reversing people's births and erasing 5 years of people's lives that already happened is more radical than bringing back the people who were gone for 5 years because it's a lot more like playing god?
people are entitled to their opinions but i don't understand this one at all.. i have seen some takes that are so wild it deals no emotional impact and occupies no brain space, so i'm just adding "i hate tony for not resetting the world to before the blip" to that pile along with "i hate steve for not saving bucky on the train" and be done with it 🤭
