First meeting
Anime: Kuroko no Basuke Pairing: Kasamatsu Yukio x reader  Rating: K+ A/N: So... I’ve started to write yet another series.... Only this time, it’s with the help of @kaijos-orca . The gist is you’re Kise’s twin sister and you meet Kasamatsu before Kise enters Kaijou. Because I love the idea of reader being Kise’s twin sister, I decided to turn it into a mini series depicting the relationship... She also attends Seirin, instead of Kaijou until a certain point in the story.. (You’ll understand why). I’ve uploaded it onto my AO3 because it’s easier to keep track of the chapters there C: . If you guys have any ideas or want to see me writing a particular scenario, feel free to drop suggestions.. :D WIthout further ado, I hope you enjoy!
____________________________
The end of the school year couldn't have come fast enough. Watching your brother grow throughout the past couple years had left an imprint in your memory.. One you wish to forget... How could he have become such a cold person?
"I'm going to be attending Kaijou... _____-cchi, decide where you'll be attending... Spots are filling up fast and the school year is going to start in a couple weeks..."
Golden hues dimmed in sadness, but you shook your head, clutching your hands into small fists... While your brother became a stranger, dedicating himself to modelling and basketball, you were determined to bring him back.. Even if it was a small part of his old self...
Before you knew it, you found yourself in a guitar shop. You turn your head back, as if wondering when you walked through the door before turning back around, golden hues assessing the interior. It had a rather, aesthetic feel, one that brought you inner peace you'd been seeking for the last few weeks.. Things at home were tense, suffocating. Flashes of your brother's smile came to mind, and you shook your head, releasing a breath...
"Ryouta…."
 "Is something wrong?"
Head snapping up at the voice, you turn around, a light blush dusting your cheeks at being caught off guard... The young male standing behind you raised an eyebrow, his presence domineering yet alluring... A frown marred your features then, shaking your head.
"What the heck _____? Get it together!"
"N....No..." you whisper, clearing your throat when you realize your voice was quiet... "I.. I just came in here to get away from the heat..."
Truthfully, you had hoped to come across your brother around town.. Wanting to surprise him with a small shopping trip... Instead, you wound up lost, and decided to come here because it was the closest store that appealed to your senses... Music has always calmed you..
The raven-haired blinks, assessing your posture with a slight blush to his cheeks... You were beautiful, and he'd have to say you're a couple years younger than him.. But why would someone like you be in a shop like this? He thought you would have more interest in make-up or clothing... But upon taking another look at your appearance, he realized your hair was in a long ponytail, accompanied with a thin cardigan sweater and black skirt...
Kasamatsu releases a sigh, pressing his hand to the bridge of his nose, before retreating to the back of the store, grabbing a bottle of water from the mini fridge. Returning to you, he gently presses the bottle into your hand, stunning you.
"...H...Here..." he whispers, a bit gruff, "I don't want you fainting from this heat."
The kind gesture was enough to ignite a blush to your cheeks, and you bite your bottom lip, golden hues softening at his gesture. Looking up at him, you offer a tiny smile before taking a sip, unable to meet his alluring eyes. Ah, you've never been flustered because of a guy before... But there's something... different about this man... He's a bit rough, but sincere and honest.. That much you can tell from looking at him...
"....T...Thank you..."
He scratches the back of his head, releasing a soft sigh. He nods his head, guiding you towards the chair resting in the corner. He carefully picks up the guitar, lazily strumming the strings as a way to collect his thoughts.. He can tell something is bothering you, but doesn't want to pry...
"Y...You know...." he begins, feeling your gaze on him, "W...When I was entering high school, I came to this same place." he starts, feeling a small smile curl on his lips. Focusing his attention on the guitar helps his nerves, and it helps him find the courage to speak with you.
"I'm not sure if you're experiencing the same issue as I did.... But I've always found comfort in hobbies I like.. When it came to making big decisions..."
Your golden hues widen, a slight hitch in your breath at his words... How did he know you were having that issue? Well.. He did say he experienced something similar...You scratch the back of your head, fidgeting slightly. The strumming of the guitar soothes you, if only a little, and suddenly, you find the words spilling out of your lips.
"I'm not sure where I wanna go..." you admit, biting your bottom lip. "My brother... He seems to have a different path in mind... And I'm not sure I want to follow down that path with him... I love him dearly..." you hesitate, watching his steel-blue hues meet yours, "But I'm concerned for his wellbeing.. I just don't want to chase him down..."
If there's one thing Kise Ryouta hates, it's being tied down.. You never wanted to make him feel that way with your relationship... Of course, you kept these feelings to yourself, because the idea of expressing them leaves a bitter taste in your throat. You don't understand why you're telling a stranger these things... But there's a sort of.. mutual understanding between the two of you and it left you baffled.
Kasamatsu hums, watching the emotions flicker across your features.. Biting the inside of his cheek, he stands up, releasing a soft sigh before hesitantly patting your head. The action causes your eyes to widen, a blush on your cheeks, though his eyes don't meet yours, as he mirrors the same reaction as yourself.
"Sounds like your brother needs a swift kick in the ass.." he snorts, eliciting a giggle from your lips. "That said, you should do what is best for you..."
You assess him once more, finding yourself fluster a little when he meets your stare, seriousness blazing in his eyes.. Ah.. He's... so cool....
"W...What school do you attend?"
Kasamatsu is a bit perplexed at your question, but scratches the back of his head, answering firmly.
"Kaijou."
Your eyes widen, and you feel a tightening in your chest... Oh... Of course someone like him would attend a prestigious school like Kaijou... The aura around him should've been an indication... A soft smile curls on your lips then, realizing you would be enemies...
"Interesting..." you murmur, reaching to gently grasp his hand, giving a gentle squeeze. You look at your watch, gasping a little before bowing.
"T...Thank you for your advice senpai! I have to go though!"
He's startled by your words, a hand reaching out to grasp yours gently.
"W...Wait!! I.. I don't know your name!"
You turn your head, golden hues glimmering softly in happiness as you smile, "I'm _____!"
He finds his lips curling into a soft smirk, "It's a pleasure to meet you, _____... I'm Kasamatsu Yukio."
Neither were prepared for this meeting to be the start of an interesting love-story, but one thing they knew... They hoped to meet again sometime soon.

Tumblr media
↘ It was a sunny week so Kise had already proposed a meeting between him and all members of the former Teikou basketball club five days earlier.
↘ Everyone confirmed their and their children presence. Therefore, when all six of them met in Tokyo, in a huge park full of greenery, peace and tall trees, smiles appeared on their faces.
↘ Six adult men and eight little kids of different ages started talking, playing and showing their toys.
↘ Kuroko’s daughter brought a small book with tons of colorful pictures, the older of Midorima’s two sons showed everyone his lucky item for today (a thermos for tea, by the way), Murasakibara’s son obviously ate snacks and surprisingly willingly shared them with Ryouta’s daughter, and the Akashi siblings were sitting politely next to each other and answering other children’s questions.
↘ Aomine’s son looked at the twins with interest, then stated that Mr. Seijuurou’s daughter is really sweet and the siblings themselves are not so similar to each other. Yes, the boy looked like a smol copy of his father, but the girl... had different hair and eyes than them. The navy-haired boy stated that she probably inherited her beauty from his mother.
↘ “Hmm... Does this bear have a name?” He asked softly, pointing at the white stuffed animal with a pink bow around its neck. The girl nodded, blushing slightly. “What name?”
↘ “... Snowy.” She answered hesitantly, looking at her brother (who was a few minutes older than her, by the way once again) and he smiled warmly at her.
↘ “Yuki-chan, don’t be shy.” Her brother encouraged her to continue talking by patting her on the head and after a short while he left his sister and moving forward to meet the other kids.
↘ At first, the conversation with Daiki’s son, Kaito, was so nice. The boy praised his own basketball skills and his achievements in the game, while the little girl listened attentively, saying from time to time something like that her brother also liked basketball.
↘ Then Aomine’s son suggested a small exchange. Yuki was supposed to play with the ball and he wanted to hold the teddy bear. Unfortunately, the girl didn’t agree with it and hugged the toy tightly, to which little Kaito snorted and grabbed the teddy bear by the paw and pulled it.
↘ “Just for a while, I’ll give it back to you later.”
↘ “But I don’t want to.” She murmured and the dark-haired boy pulled the soft material even harder.
↘ They argued for a while before they heard the material and threads breaking. Aomine’s son fell with a piece of the toy in his hand, while the girl’s eyes widened as she looked at the broken teddy. Immediately tears gathered in her eyes and before Kaito could apologize, loud crying and squeaking came out of her mouth.
↘ Seijuurou in a moment looked at his daughter who was holding her face in her hands and a toy that didn’t look like it did five minutes ago. He quickly apologized to Tetsuya and Shintarou, then ran to his child asking what happened.
↘ “He teared up my teddy bear that my mommy gave me!” She groaned tearfully, pointing to the dark-haired boy, who still held a piece of plush in his right hand.
↘ Aomine appeared next to his son a moment later, slapping him lightly on the head while taking the material and handing it to Seijuurou.
↘ “Kaito, apologize to Yuki.” He grunted low. “Also we’ll talk about your behavior later.”
↘ The girl cuddled up to her father, and he looked at her, then at the six-year-old, and smiled awkwardly saying that everything was fine.
↘ “... No! It’s not fine, daddy! It’s a bear from mommy!” She screamed, still crying. Her brother came closer and patted her little head.
↘ “We’ll fix it, Yuki-chan. Don’t cry. Kaito-kun didn’t want to do that. I’m sure about that.” He assured her with a slight smile, and she nestled her face in her father’s shirt even tighter.
↘ “I’m so sorry, Akashi.” Daiki spoke lowly to his friend, and he shook his head in understanding. “I know that this stuffed toy is important to her, if I can compensate for it somehow...”
↘ “Daiki, it’s okay. The housekeeper will sew it up. Please, continue your talking. I will calm Yuki down.”
↘ The crisis was overcome a few minutes later when Seijuurou promised to fix the teddy bear and said that mom wouldn’t be happy to see that little Yuki is crying and she’s angry with Kaito who didn’t do it on purpose. The girl took his words to heart and tried to keep playing, although the broken cuddly toy was still a fresh topic in her mind.
↘ It was there for many years, because long after this situation, when she looked at the teddy bear, she remembered the sound of tearing material and the terrified gaze of Aomine’s son.
↘ And even after those several long years, when eighteen-year-old Kise’s son offered a meeting beetween all the children of Generation of Miracles, Yuki was still skeptical about talking to Kaito. So her brother had to intervene and whisper in her ear a short, ‘You know, it’s been a while... I think he still really regrets it. Why don’t you talk to him?’
↘ The seventeen-year-old girl sighed softly, shrugging her shoulders, and then she looked at Kaito, who blushed because of her eyesight.
↘ “Well, I guess I can do that.” She whispered as she corrected the bag on her shoulder, which contained a white teddy bear with a few stitches from her beloved mother, who passed away a long time ago.

The Sun that Embraces the Moon (Aomine x Reader) - Part 5 FINAL
The flickering shadows under a lamp coalesced into Kuroko’s slim form, startling some of the seated gods. Akashi merely slid his formidable stare in the direction of the shadow spirit.
“Well?”
Kuroko nodded in confirmation, mouth tight with tension. “Liu-san has been missing for several weeks now.”
The dragon god closed his eyes for a moment. When he turned back to the others, his face was impassive, though an aura of barely restrained menace hovered beneath the surface. Midorima was the first to speak.
“Do you have answers, Ryuujin? I for one would like to know just who has been trying to disrupt my peace.”
Akashi steepled his fingers with a slight smile. “Then let me tell you a story. One that very few know the truth of.”
A little more than four centuries ago, two children were born to the Hinata clan. Twins. The girl was born with the mark of the sun on her forehead and it was clear what fate had in store for her. The girl’s grandmother was the sun goddess back then.
“She will be Amaterasu,” said her grandmother. And so the girl was brought up to be just that.
The boy was a different story. For one thing, he had ashen hair, something no one had ever seen in the sun clan. For another, he couldn’t summon any of the sun’s heat, no matter how hard he tried. His grandmother had no use for a boy that couldn’t fight, no more than she had any use for his mother, who could not be Amaterasu. So the boy was left to himself, with only his kind-hearted mother for company.
The brother and the sister rarely saw each other, growing up to be very different in their natures. The girl became strong, proud, a weapon, hiding her loneliness under a mask of politeness. The boy became violent, destructive, lashing out to protect the only person he had. They both secretly envied each other for the things they could not have.
Then, two hundred years ago, in a particularly aggressive encounter with a beast, the boy discovered what he could do. Why he did not have a drop of sunlight in his veins. And when his grandmother found out, she was not pleased. The boy’s mother took the brunt of her fury.
“You have brought dishonour to our family,” she seethed. “That creature is living proof. The bastard child of a shapeshifter. Worse, he is an aberration of magic. You will pay the price for this betrayal.”
The twins’ mother paid with her life. When the boy found out, he went mad with grief. In his inconsolable sorrow and rage, he killed the grandmother and the clan was forced to banish him to the mountains. The girl wept for the mother she never knew and the brother she would never have. And the boy became a warped, twisted being, sinking further into the darkness.
Kagami frowned in concentration when Akashi finished narrating. “So you’re saying _____-san had a brother none of us knew about?”
“Has,” corrected Akashi. “Haizaki is the one causing the chaos. He still harbours a strong grudge against his sister.”
Lightning danced from Hayama’s fingers as he drummed them on the table. “What was so wrong with a shapeshifter that the mother needed to be punished?”
“That is a good question, Raijin.” Himuro raised an eyebrow at Akashi. “Considering that the current sun goddess has a fox guarding her.”
“I presume you are referring to Kise being half-kitsune. The fact is that the Hinata clan itself does not object to demigods. One reason the grandmother behaved as she did is that she was simply a cruel woman. By the time she died, most of the clan did not like her.”
Momoi nodded her assent. “I remember her reign of terror. I do not know if it was the war that made her that way, but she craved power above all.”
Akashi inclined his head in acknowledgement. “You are correct, Uzume. The other reason is that Haizaki is no ordinary shapeshifter. He is half-badger, a mujina, one of the most potent kinds of form-changers.”
Midorima was not satisfied with the answer. “That still does not explain why he was dangerous.”
“Haizaki-san steals identities,” murmured Kuroko. “If he can change into a form, he can retain the abilities of that form.”
The assembled deities stilled in shock. Himuro exhaled, stunned. “That can’t be possible.”
Akashi narrowed his eyes. “Unfortunately, it is. Haven’t you wondered why Nijimura hasn’t been sighted for a while now?”
Kagami jolted in dismay. “Don’t tell me he…”
“Nijimura-san was killed. Haizaki-san took over his place as storm god.” Kuroko’s face gave away nothing, but his eyes glittered blue in the lamplight.
Midorima curled his lip in disgust. “Is that how he managed to get away unseen as well?”
“Yes,” said Akashi, “he stole from one of the Kageyama clan’s shadow spirits. The one Kuroko said was missing. If you encounter him, under no circumstances should you let Haizaki lay his hands on you.”
Momoi clasped her hands nervously. “Dai-chan really needs to hear this. And _____-chan as well. I should go.”
“Wait.” Akashi’s command stopped Momoi as she stood to leave. “There’s one more thing you should know.”
The dragon god became the centre of attention as he spoke. “Haizaki…is not alone.”
The sea of trees around you whispered unintelligible secrets to each other as you warily held your ground against a brother you had never thought you’d see again. Haizaki seemed to be enjoying your reunion far more than you were.
“Did you miss me, sister? I suppose not, seeing how busy you were playing the good girl. First for that old hag, and now for the moon god. Tell me, when they taught you to play with swords, did it include you lying on your back?”
You ignored the obvious rancour in his words and spoke quietly to your guard instead. “Izuki-san, I need you to leave and get Aomine-san. Riko and I can hold him off, but only for a while. We need help. Bring anyone you can.”
Izuki started to protest vehemently, but was stopped by your gaze that brooked no dissent. Riko gave him a sharp nod of affirmation from your right. He gritted his teeth.
“Fine, but you better be alive and pretty when I get back, or I’m telling you every pun I know.”
You smiled as he loped through the woods, faster than you could currently hope to be. The brief moment of levity was shattered as another presence slinked into the clearing. You swung around with your blade tipped up high as the dead-eyed figure chuckled in amusement.
“My, my, who knew. The sun goddess is this fragile, breakable creature? She’d make a lovely doll for my collection.”
Riko’s shoulders tensed as an unnaturally pale man strode up, his every movement languid with the self-indulgent hauteur. The edges of his form kept blurring, as if he was an incomplete painting. Messy black locks shaded irises that were so unfeeling as to be alien. You had to physically repress a shudder from just looking at him.
Haizaki licked his lips in anticipation. “You sure took your own sweet time, Hanamiya.”
The spectral man shrugged. “Perfection can’t be rushed. And we do want this to be perfect.”
Riko lifted her spear to Hanamiya’s face. “What is your purpose in coming here? Other than to kill us?”
Haizaki smirked. “We didn’t go to the effort of cloaking ourselves and lure you to the mirror just to slit your throat. I have two centuries of pent-up frustration to take out on sister dearest.”
Hanamiya laughed, the sound a mirthless echo bouncing off the shrine. “Kill you? We could have done that ages ago. No, I much prefer my dolls whole. You can’t break something that’s already in pieces.”
You finally put the jumbled fragments together as the picture began to make sense. “You are the one behind this, aren’t you? Shougo could never come up with this himself. He’d never calm down long enough.”
Hanamiya stopped an enraged Haizaki from charging at you. “How astute of you,” he drawled. “Yes, I came up with the plans to steal the shadow spirit, and orchestrated the attacks on your pretty little clan. Every good musician knows one must build up a tempo to keep the audience captivated.”
It was easy enough to tell that this was meant to be the crescendo of terror. You could only hope you could distract them long enough for Izuki to get back. You shifted your weight onto your left foot, noticing Hanamiya’s eyes track your every move. The wispy shadows that seemed to cling to him intensified as you lifted your sword.
“I have no intention of being your entertainment. Especially for a god who throws childish tantrums when he doesn’t get his way.”
Haizaki snarled, face elongating into something feral and canine. “You’re one to talk, bitch. You stood there and watched while our mother died. Is being princess so addictive that you can toss aside anyone?”
You were starting to lose your own patience. Your blade began to sizzle with warning heat. “That’s not true. I didn’t have any more of a say in anything than you did. I didn’t know what they did until the next day, and by then you were gone.”
“Lies! We didn’t matter then, and we don’t matter now. But that’ll change when I’m done with you.”
Hanamiya smiled, the expression making your lungs seize in revulsion. “Well then, the barrier should be up now. No one will be coming in to rescue you, Amaterasu. Until I’m finished playing with you, anyway.”
Your heart sank as you realized that he had blocked off the clearing with wards. To make matters worse, clouds began rolling in, darkening the sky and smothering the sunlight. You felt your reserves of power dip a little more. You couldn’t risk spending the energy to break through Haizaki’s storm. Still, you weren’t about to be intimidated.
“It saddens me that you have to resort to such pitiable tactics to even stand a chance, Shougo. If only you had been taught to use your abilities well. I suppose we are to blame.”
The ash-haired god finally snapped, blurring into vicious motion. Your sword caught his steel-clawed gauntlets as he tried to rake your eyes. A solid kick to his middle sent him reeling back, though not for long. Lightning began to spark off his hands as Haizaki’s grin grew demented.
“Still got some fight left? I’ll fix that.”
You nimbly ducked backwards as a crackling whip of electricity tore the air. The tip of the flail caught the shrine, shattering tiles. Your sword blazed as you twisted the whip around it and used the leverage to pull Haizaki forward. You thrust a surge of pure heat into his face with your free hand. He howled in pain and threw you back with a punch of wind. The impact rattled the mirror on its frame.
Haizaki growled, cheek blistering and raw. “For that, I’ll flay you alive. Like that horse.”
The sadistic reminder brought back all the anger you had bottled away. Your hair and eyes turned incandescent with power. Haizaki barely had time to sidestep as your overhead swing hurtled down, rupturing the ground instead. The next swing was just as fast, but Haizaki threw up a wall of grey wind. In the background, you sensed Riko dodging an attack. You silently begged her to survive a bit longer, until you could create a gap for her to escape.
Haizaki flicked his tongue over his thumb. “Not bad. But you won’t be able to keep this up for much longer. You’re running low.”
It was true. Though Haizaki was barely able to keep up with you even at half power, the absence of the sun and the inevitable approach of nightfall were taking a toll on you. You couldn’t keep this up for long. So you smiled at him, the polite smile you knew he hated.
“I won’t need to keep it up that long. You’re not much of an opponent.”
You saw it coming when Haizaki sent a crescent of electricity your way, infuriated beyond measure. However, Hanamiya, who you had maneuvered in front of, didn’t see it coming. The attack hit him at full strength, eliciting a shriek of agony and breaking his concentration. As you’d hoped, the wards collapsed.
Before you could shout at Riko to get away from the clearing, there was an eerie cackle. Hanamiya staggered up, skin sizzling and eyes bloodshot. His delirious gaze settled on you.
“You. I will break you. Right now.”
The shifting edges of Hanamiya’s outline began to solidify, expanding into a larger frame. His spine distorted in an rippling curve, skin tearing away like paper. When the transformation ended, eight cadaverous legs, bristling with spiny hairs, projected from Hanamiya’s back. You lurched back as his face spilt into a sickening grin, pincers where incisors should be. Only years of self-control kept you composed when multiple black orbs swivelled towards you.
“Tsuchigumo,” breathed Riko in horror. “I thought they were dead.”
Hanamiya’s voice was a grating noise that clawed at your skin. “They all did. But our tribe is good at biding our time. Now, who should I play with first?”
Depleted as you were, you couldn’t respond fast enough when the spider-silk shot out and grabbed Riko.
Aomine finished saddling his horse, cinching the buckles tight. He stepped back, finished a quick survey and then sighed. No matter how strong you were, it didn’t sit right with him that you were out there without him. If he hadn’t been busy with other things, he would have insisted on accompanying you. A call made him look up.
“Dai-chan! Wait!” Momoi was in half-armour, which immediately set him on edge.
“What is it?” He spared a brief glance for Kuroko, who was silently following Momoi.
The rosy goddess grabbed his arm. “Akashi-san knows who it is. The attacker, I mean.”
By the time Momoi finished telling him everything she knew, Aomine’s grip on the reins had tightened to the point that the horse became skittish.
“I have to find her. Now.” His words came out as barely comprehensible growl.
Momoi nodded in agreement. Kuroko glanced sideways as the sound of hurried footsteps grew closer. Izuki stumbled into the group, breathless and scratched up. Aomine’s heart stuttered when he realized someone was absent. He gave Izuki a knife-edged look.
The guard answered the unspoken question. “They’re in the Mori forest. You need to get there right now. The goddess is too weak to defeat Haizaki by herself.” Momoi inhaled sharply when he explained about the mirror.
Aomine cursed, hating that he had been right. “That reckless idiot. I told her- Never mind, I’ll knock some sense into her. Satsuki, I’m leaving.”
Kuroko stepped forward. “I can take you there, Aomine-san. It will be faster.”
“I’ll follow with reinforcements,” said Izuki. Aomine nodded once and clasped Kuroko’s outstretched hand. A dark mist swallowed them whole, and they vanished.
Momoi twisted her bracelet anxiously. “Keep her safe, Dai-chan. For all of us.”
You were starting to realize just how warped Haizaki had become. He had fallen into an abyss so deep that the creator’s intervention couldn’t save him, much less an exhausted sun goddess. And that was not accounting for the grotesque anomaly called Hanamiya. You shoved these fears into the darkness of your mind and focused on the greater problem of getting Riko out of the spider’s clutches.
“Let her go, demon. Or I swear upon my blood that you will rue the day you were born.”
Hanamiya’s disturbing visage only grew more unsettling when he grinned. “Useless words. Haven’t you understood you are not in the position to be giving orders?”
Your attempt to burn through the sticky tendrils wrapping Riko was thwarted as Haizaki blasted you with a bolt of current. The zig-zagging streak exploded from the roiling sky, hitting you with the full force of an electrical storm. The piercing pain ripped a scream from your throat, and you fell to your knees. You distantly felt the magic trying to repair your body, rapidly dwindling.
Haizaki’s pupils were blown wide with frenzied euphoria. “You finally learned your place, sister.”
He wrenched your head back with a fistful of hair, voice pitched low. “Now watch as we break your friend, just like you watched Mother die.”
You hissed in rage and tried to break free, but his grip was too strong. Riko struggled desperately as a web coiled around her ankles and wrists, insinuating silvery threads into her skin. Hanamiya’s beady eyes watched unblinkingly as her face went blank and her body became limp. You choked in horror as Riko’s body was dangled in the air, a lifeless puppet. Haizaki’s claws sank into your shoulders as you exerted yourself against his hold.
Hanamiya tutted in disapproval. “Stop fighting the inevitable. Watch. This is true art.”
Your eyes widened as a familiar needle was produced from somewhere. Hanamiya smiled as he placed it into Riko’s slack fingers, spider-silk holding her arm upright.
“Before you ask, that is indeed a spindle from your loom. Fitting, isn’t it?”
Haizaki wound a rope of lightning around your body before you could fight back, the current searing the open cuts on your flesh. Riko lifted the sharp point of the object as your eyes blurred with futile tears. You could only watch, heart ripping apart, as she dragged the implement down her arm, face as expressionless as a statue. Blood welled from the gash, dripping down her wrist to stain the grass.
Hanamiya tilted his head, eyebrows furrowed. “No, that’s not it. Perhaps this will get a better response.”
Riko obediently lifted the hand with the spindle as you thrashed, trying to burn through Haizaki’s hold. Your cry of anguish rent the air as she stabbed her other palm, plunging through veins and muscle. You gave up trying to fight.
“Please,” you sobbed, “let her go. I will do anything you want.”
“Anything?” Hanamiya pretended to think. “Then scream some more.” He flicked his fingers and the spindle went through Riko’s left eye, tissue popping with a sickening squelch.
Your breath went out of your lungs in a rush. “No, no, no, I can’t- Riko, please-“
Hanamiya sauntered over to where you sat, drowning in a sea of pain and hopelessness. His face shifted back to more human contours, to the same deadened eyes of before. “At least Haizaki appreciates my artistry.”
You didn’t think you could be any more horrified until you saw the unfiltered lust shining in Haizaki’s face. Hanamiya smirked and pulled the grey-haired man down into a wet kiss. As their tongues tangled messily, the spindle slowly rose to Riko’s throat. You pulled against your bonds again, desperate to get to her before it was too late.
A resounding crash from a broken branch startled Hanamiya and Haizaki out of their depraved embrace. The kirin galloped into the clearing and cut through the bonds controlling Riko with a toss of its antlers. Without pausing, the guardian of the forest charged headfirst into the duo holding you captive, flinging them forcefully into the shrine. You staggered upright as the rope around your arms vanished.
“Go,” murmured Mayuzumi. “Take her to safety. I will hold them at bay.”
You pulled on the last dregs of strength you didn’t know you had, tapping into a core of light. You hoisted Riko into your arms and followed the whispers of the trees, hoping against hope that your friend would hold on.
Aomine and Kuroko burst into the clearing just in time to see the kirin’s lifeless form collide with the trees. Mayuzumi lifted his head weakly, hooves scraping against the ground as he tried to rise. He gave up with a pant, head drooping to rest against a trunk. One dull eye regarded Kuroko with disinterest as he hurried to examine the kirin’s wounds.
“We’re sorry we took so long. You can leave the rest to us.” Kuroko’s voice was soft with apology.
Mayuzumi gave a sardonic huff and closed his eyes, falling into a trance. Aomine’s katana glowed as he placed himself between Kuroko and Hanamiya, who was scrutinizing the new arrivals with interest.
Haizaki sneered in recognition, lowering his bloodied gauntlets. “It’s the so-called moon god. Can’t say I’m impressed so far.”
The spider-demon cackled in a hair-raising noise. “That feeble doll you call your consort didn’t stand a chance. I look forward to tracking her down after we get rid of you. Or maybe we should keep you alive, so you can watch as your woman cuts herself open. Just like she watched her handmaiden do it.”
Aomine could barely hear Kuroko’s reply in the unfurling fog of sheer rage. His vision was turning dark around the edges, and he could hear the distant song of battle calling to his blood. He let the familiar cloak of violence settle around his shoulders, taking comfort in the drape of its power. Hanamiya’s eyes narrowed as Aomine settled into predatory stillness.
“Stay back, Kuroko.” The shadow spirit stilled as Aomine’s voice rang with the luminescence of burning stars and endless night. Under the overcast sky, Aomine’s lithe form was a pillar of iridescent light, but his eyes held dark promise. He strode forward, katana held loosely in his grip.
Haizaki shifted uneasily as Aomine approached, apparently unfazed. The storm deity snarled in confused anger and threw a spike of cyclone at the blue-eyed god. The latter batted it aside with his sword and kept walking. Fuelled by alarm and aggression, Haizaki’s gauntlets crackled as he leapt at Aomine. He landed with a thunderclap as Aomine side-stepped with liquid ease, feeling metal graze across his ribs. The next moment, Haizaki was doubled over, clutching his side as ruby liquid spilled from the stump of his former elbow. The clouds parted a little to reveal a sun descending towards the horizon.
A sapphire gaze regarded Haizaki dispassionately. “I hear you like to steal things. Can’t do that without your hands, can you?”
Haizaki grinned through the blood splattered on his face. “I’m not the only one with hands here.”
Hanamiya’s gossamer tendrils abruptly halted an inch away from the back of Aomine’s neck. The spider-demon looked down to see the katana flipped backwards and protruding through his torso. He stumbled back, making a strangled noise of shock. Aomine turned to face him, expression still inscrutable.
Hanamiya choked as the sword began to blaze with moonlight, rapidly leaching life-force from his spidery body. The demon aged centuries in seconds, until only a withered husk was left in his place. Kuroko watched quietly as Aomine casually pulled the sword out.
“You see,” explained Aomine to a paralyzed Haizaki, “you should have known who you were picking a fight with. Time is my playground, after all.”
It had the desired effect of making Haizaki scramble away in fear. Aomine merely watched him with the unwavering confidence of a hunting jaguar. Haizaki got up to run, but was stopped by Kuroko’s sudden appearance. The shadow spirit gazed back steadily.
“Haizaki-san, your crimes are beyond redemption. Terrorizing villagers, slaughtering animals, hurting the beloved sun goddess. And,” he said with melancholy, “you killed Liu. I have been sent to serve Ryuujin’s judgement.”
That was all the warning the storm god received before he was plunged into a darkness so total, it was as if light itself had never existed. Then the screams began as Kuroko’s illusions began to unfold themselves. Aomine wondered somewhere at the back of his mind what could make someone like Haizaki beg for mercy, but Kuroko’s face convinced him some things were better left unknown. The shape-shifter was still screaming when Aomine’s sword separated his head from his body.
They looked at each for a moment, sorrowful at the needless destruction. Then Aomine turned his thoughts to the most important matter of all.
“Let’s go find her.” Kuroko glanced around one last time before following him.
Of course, that was when things became strange. Both males froze as the ground shook and a cry of heartrending anguish echoed through the woods. Aomine’s chest constricted from the resounding sorrow, and he knew that something had gone terribly wrong. Just as he thought it, the sun vanished from the sky and the world was plunged into darkness.
This part the story-tellers did get right. The world remained without sunlight for three days and three nights.
The first day- or the first night rather – everyone was thrown into, for lack of a better term, a blind panic. Aomine was the most difficult of all, out of his mind with worry. Everyone flinched as he slammed a fist into the wall.
“I don’t give a damn about the night sky!” His roar shook the hall. “If you’re going to talk about responsibility, then there’s nothing more important than finding my wife. She’s alone and frightened, who knows where, and here you morons are holding me up with this nonsense!”
Momoi stood up. “Dai-chan,” she pleaded, “I’m as worried as you are. But Akashi-san and the others are right. The clans’ people all saw the sun disappear, and if the moon fails them as well, it will cause a riot. You need to focus right now. When it’s dawn again, we will set out immediately. I promise.”
Aomine said nothing, his head bowed and fists clenched. Eventually, he walked up to the dragon god and grabbed Akashi by the collar.
“I hope you know what you’re asking of me,” he growled. “If something happens to her, being a dragon won’t save you.”
For the first time, Aomine saw a flicker of expression cross Akashi’s face. Was that…sadness? He pushed the thought away as the white dragon spoke. “I will shoulder the consequences, whatever they may be. Now go.”
So Aomine did, though his soul splintered the whole time and he couldn’t think of anything but when he last saw you smile. But when the hours rolled by and daybreak approached, there was not a glimmer of light to be seen anywhere. Everyone realized then that you would have to be found, daytime or no.
Then of course, came the question of how to conduct a search. Mayuzumi was still in a healing sleep, and no one had seen the direction you had fled in. The poor visibility made it even harder. That’s when Aomine remembered the pendant.
“It’s a part of her soul,” he said to Izuki and Momoi. “It will lead us to her.”
Which was all well and good, but a jewel is not a compass, and not half as accurate. Aomine wandered in circles more than once, following the rise and ebb of the gem’s glow. A whole day was lost as the gods searched the forest in the darkness, with only the waning moon and Kagami’s flames to guide them.
Then midway through the second day, when no one could tell night from morning anymore, Kise found the cave. Aomine sprinted to where Kise was, his exhaustion overwhelmed by the thunderous pounding of his heart. He arrived just in time to see Kise scowl at the entrance of the cavern.
“What’s wrong?” The Magatama glowed with unnecessary fervour, so you were definitely nearby.
“I can’t enter the cave. Something is blocking me. And hime’s not answering.” The kitsune glared at the rock-face like it had offended him.
Aomine stretched a palm out towards the mouth of the cave as the other gods reached the edge of the mountain. His palm flattened against a tangible wall of darkness, solid and unyielding. He bit back a frustrated growl and chose to call you instead.
“______! I’m here. Come out of the dark.” He held his breath, hoping for a response.
Momoi’s luminous eyes widened. “Is Amaterasu wounded? Why doesn’t she reply?”
Aomine ignored her, though his already overtaxed heart raced some more at the possibility. Then a tired voice made all the assembled deities snap to attention.
“Daiki?”
Aomine’s breath hitched with relief. He pressed a fist to the barrier and pitched his voice low.
“Yes, sweetheart, it’s me. Come here where I can see you. I need to know you’re alright.”
Slow footsteps echoed off the walls of rock until you reached the edge of the cave. You pressed a palm to the translucent ward, your hand next to Aomine’s, yet not touching him. His eyes searched your face for injuries, brows crinkled with worry.
“Is he dead?” You sounded hollow, utterly lifeless, and it terrified Aomine beyond imagining.
“Yes. You’re safe now. Let the wards down, princess.” Somehow he instinctively knew the wall separating him from you would not shatter unless you wanted it to.
You shook your head, tears gathering on your lashes. “I can’t. I-I’m scared.”
His jaw clenched. “You don’t have to be. I’m here and nothing will get through me.”
“It’s alright, ____-chan,” said Momoi gently. “We’ll keep you safe.”
Your hand fell away from the barrier and Aomine pressed harder, feeling the loss. Your voice was barely above a broken whisper. “It’s no use. Not anymore.”
Aomine’s next words were cut off when Kise hissed in shock. Moonlight had slanted into the cave, illuminating a figure propped up against the wall. Riko would have looked peacefully asleep if it were not for the gaping hole in her eye and the open gash along her veins. Her skin was tinged blue in places.
Even Midorima’s composure was gone. “What in the world?”
You didn’t turn to follow their horror-struck gazes. “Did you know spider-demons have poison in their webs? She was doomed from the moment he touched her. And I just let it happen.”
Moisture streaked Kise’s cheeks as he vehemently shook his head. “That’s not true, ____-cchi. Rikocchi wouldn’t say that.”
Your eyes slid blankly over Kise. The next thing you said cut into Aomine like glass-edged blades. “It’s my fault. Everything I touch dies. My mother, Akira, Riko…even Shougo.”
Aomine punched the ward, shaking with rage. “Don’t you dare say that! If it was anyone’s fault, then it was mine. I told you I’d keep you safe from that bastard, and I failed. So come out and rail on me, damn it. Anything. Just come here.”
You gave him a sad smile that made him want to howl from the loneliness. “I’m a walking curse, my love. I wouldn’t be able to bear it if you got hurt. I’m sorry.”
His shouts fell on indifferent ears as you walked away. His chest ached with all things he wanted to say, and the pain of having let you down so badly. Aomine slumped against the barrier, shoulders braced against the emptiness.
“How could you be cursed when you’re the most beautiful thing I know?”
He flung aside Momoi’s comforting hand on his back. She started to speak. “Dai-chan, it’s-“
“Don’t, Satsuki. We both know it’s because I didn’t find Haizaki in time. I should have stayed with her. Now she’s so scarred, everything that made her light up is gone.”
His mind taunted him with memories of your skin, so warm against his. Your laughter as he stole a kiss from you, and the whisper of your affection in his hair. A mocking voice told him that it had been too good to be true from the start, that he was unlovable, and that someone so good at killing didn’t deserve love anyway.
He tried to push it away, but the voice haunted him all night.
Strangely enough, on the third day, it was Kagami that instilled some sense into him. The fire god walked up to Aomine in the morning, took one look at his haggard face and said, “Get up.”
The moon god raised an irritated eyebrow at Kagami. He rolled his eyes. “How long are you going to stay there feeling sorry for yourself? We can all go on forever about who’s fault it is, but it’s getting us nowhere. Get up and let’s find a way to fix this.”
“Hachiman is right for once.” Akashi’s tenor made all the gods sit up in attention. “Amaterasu needs to be coaxed from the darkness.”
Himuro frowned unhappily. “The question is how. The situation is strange enough already. She shouldn’t have been able to conjure barriers like those.”
Aomine’s laugh was bitter with irony. “That’s my goddess for you. Always doing things she shouldn’t. Going out alone, putting up wards…making me love her.” He smiled wryly at the memory.
Midorima’s expression was one of mild pedagogy. “She’s the most powerful incarnation of the sun in three generations. With enough motivation, she could tear the heavens apart. Small wonder that the light has vanished, nanodayo.”
Akashi’s lips curved. “And that is why we must bring her back. Without the sun, the crops are already failing, and chaos will ensue. So, the question is then: what does the goddess cherish most? Enough to bring her running?”
As one, everyone turned to look at a certain navy-haired god. He looked back in slight wariness.
The dragon smiled pleasantly. “Exactly.”
You told yourself it was better in the darkness. Here, no one could get hurt. In the silence of obscurity, you wouldn’t have to watch again and again as your dearest friend died. You wouldn’t have to be reminded every time you looked at her broken body, of the soul-sister you no longer had.
You stayed that way, huddled in a corner with your black thoughts, until the first strains of a melody floated through the air. A lilting voice twined with notes of a shamisen, pulling on chords deep inside your chest. The wistful song serenaded a long lost beloved, wandering through a distant land of verdant green and lush flowers. You tilted your head towards the voice, moved despite yourself.
Akashi’s smooth tones congratulated the singer. “That was splendid, Momoi.”
She sounded sad when she replied. “It’s one of Dai-chan’s favourites. I thought I’d- Since it’s the last time, you see.”
Akashi hummed in response. Your heart gave kicked painfully against your ribs. What were they talking about?
Momoi seemed hesitant to speak. “Is there- is there really no other way?”
“No.” The dragon was firm. “Someone needs to deal with the Tsuchigumo and there’s no one else who can do it. Kagami needs to stay at the court.”
“But it’s a death sentence!” Momoi’s cry sent slivers of ice down your spine. “He’s too weak to fight! The moon has been up for three whole days now. He’s on his last leg. You can’t let him do this.”
Akashi sounded weary beyond measure. “Then that’s the price he’ll have to pay. If the sun were up, it would be different, but as of now, Aomine is the only one who can function efficiently enough to deal any damage.”
You lurched to a standing position, ignoring the sting of the cuts still marking your skin. You had to stop this recklessness before it was too late. Why would Akashi condemn Aomine like this? Perhaps if you interfered, the dragon god would reconsider.
You hesitated at the edge of the entrance, feeling a sliver of doubt. If you went out, you were certain to cause harm sooner or later. The risk was too great.
You looked up as Aomine strode into view. He was dressed for battle, face defeated in a way you’d never seen him. Akashi looked at him questioningly.
“Are you ready to do your duty?”
The night god who’d slowly but surely become the centre of your universe nodded. “There’s nothing left for me here, anyway.” His disheartened declaration made your throat constrict.
You squared your shoulders. If the choice was Aomine’s immediate demise against a future one, it was no choice at all. You couldn’t let the person holding your soul in his hands throw away his own life. More than anyone, Aomine deserved to live, if only because he soothed a broken girl when she was lost. You wouldn’t let Akashi take that away from you.
All three of them looked up as the wards blocking the cave imploded in cloud of sparks. When the dust settled, you strode out with gold-flinted eyes, hands ablaze and blocked Akashi’s view of Aomine. You looked the dragon god in the eye.
“He’s not going anywhere,” you said with an air of finality.
Akashi’s amused smile was all the warning you had before you were picked up in a rib-cracking hug. A second later, Aomine crushed his lips to yours in a desperate kiss, stealing any hope of breathing. You were both panting when he finally lifted his head.
“You idiot,” he breathed. “Were you trying to kill me by leaving me in agony?”
You glared at him, incensed despite your weariness. “From the sound of it, you were doing a fine job of it by yourself. And you,” you whirled on a surprised Akashi, “what were you thinking? How could you let Daiki just go out there and sacrifice himself like that?”
Akashi blinked and turned to a grinning Momoi. “Isn’t she normally quite well-behaved?”
You ignored him, breathing in Aomine’s familiar woodsy scent, feeling something in you settle as your skin brushed his. He traced your face with his hands as if he couldn’t believe you were real.
“You came back for me,” he murmured. “Even though you didn’t want to.”
You tilted your face into his palm, soaking in his presence. “Of course. I told you already. I love you. It’s selfish, but I can’t let you die.”
“Foolish goddess.” His eyes blazed with fierce joy. “You gave me the jewel for luck. You can’t possibly jinx me as well.”
That finally brought a reluctant smile to your face. The light in your chest bloomed again, and the sun fired into brilliance, painting the sky with the clearest of blues. Golden light chased away lingering malevolence, and the world seemed to let out a sigh of relief.
“Next you decide to blind us like that, please give us some warning.” Himuro’s cheerful sarcasm startled you out of Aomine’s hold. To your dismay, just about every god from the assembly was present, looking pleased with themselves. You looked around with wide eyes.
“Why is-“ You couldn’t complete the sentence.
Momoi clapped her hands excitedly. “In a nutshell, we came up with a scheme – well, Akashi-san did – to get you to come to us. We may have exaggerated some details.”
Akashi shifted it to a more sombre tone for a moment. “The Shinigami is here. Will you let him attend to Aida?”
Takao’s expression was kind as he waited for you to acknowledge him. When you finally nodded, he glided into the cave to conduct the summoning ritual. Aomine’s steady touch kept you anchored until the reaper was done. You said a silent farewell to your brave, beautiful friend as Takao disappeared.
When he was gone, you shot a betrayed look at Aomine, who looked unrepentantly smug. “You were in on the deceit? How horrible, I was really worried!”
He shrugged. “It’s only fair, you had me panicking for three days. Besides,” he said with a wicked smile, “you can’t take back what you said about loving me.”
You flushed, half embarrassed, half annoyed. “Th-That much should have obvious, anyhow!”
“Must be because I’m not too bright, I didn’t get it. You should demonstrate it again so I don’t forget. I’ll watch very closely.” His fingers tightened around your hip in suggestion.
You tried to back away as his head dipped closer. “Daiki,” you gritted between your teeth, “everyone is watching.”
His breath fanned your ear as he chuckled. “I like the way you say my name. Shall we see if I can make you moan it?”
“DAIKI!”
“Not so quick, princess, they’ll think I’m a bad lover. We can’t have rumours about you being unhappy. Satsuki will tan my hide.”
You buried your face in your hands. “Why did I leave that cave? Why? I should have let the spiders have you.”
He smiled with pure male satisfaction. “It’s because I’m so good at-“
The most effective way to shut up a moon god, you found was to kiss him into silence. Luckily for you, you had centuries to put it to practise and perfect the technique. For now, however, you were content to be warmed by his embrace, and safe in the knowledge that you had each other. That’s what soul-mates were for, after all.

FNAF 3 "Warning you WILL Die!" (Takao x Reader) feat. Midorima
Shutoku High's shooting guard, Midorima Shintarou and power forward Takao Kazunari were in the gym practicing after hours...much to the hawk eyed player's demise. After what happened in the Rakuzan game during the Winter Cup, he wanted to make sure that he and his co-ace perfected their new technique, where Takao would toss him the ball and he would already be in the air in the accepting position to shoot the three pointer.
With the last ball in his hand, Takao began to dribble down the court, as if he were passing his opponents. Using his hawk eye, he saw Midorima already in the air and passed the ball to him. However, just as Midorima went to accept the ball....
"Shin-shin! Kazu-chan!"a voice exclaimed, startling both men and causing Midorima to miss the basket.
"(Y/N)-chan/(Y/N)" both men said, as they recognized the owner of the voice.
With a laugh, you began running towards the two of them, instantly jumping on Midorima's back.
"What are you doing, nanodayo?!" he exclaimed, trying to get the figure off his back.
"Mou. You're no fun, Shin-shin," you pouted, as you got off his back. Your attention immedietly went towards the raven haired male and you gave him a huge hug.
"(Y/N), I'm all sweaty," Takao said, as he returned your hug.
"Don't care," you said, nuzzling your face into his chest. "I want a hug."
Takao couldn't help but smile as he kissed your forehead, only to look up into the annoyed green eyes. Before he could say anything, the carrot grabbed the back of your shirt and yanked you away.
"Mou! Stop being over protective, onii-chan," you whined.
That's right. You were Midorima (Y/N), the twin sister of Shutoku's Oha Sa obsessed, tsundere carrot. And yes, you were in a relationship with Takao Kazunari, also known as the thorn in Shintarou's side.
"What bring you here, (Y/N)-chan?" your boyfriend asked, yanking you away from your brother, leaning against you on your shoulder.
"Indeed. What is so important that you had to interrupt our practice, nanodayo."
"Your practice ended an hour ago," you deadpanned. "Besides, it's Friday night! We should do something fun!"
"(Y/N) is right, Shin-chan!" Takao agreed as he got off your shoulder, only to walk over to the life-sized carrot and leaned against him by placing his bent arm on his shoulder. "Besides, we're going to get yelled at by the teachers since we're here so late. "
"No."
"Please Shin-chan,? You and I never get to do things together because of your tsundere-ness and I miss spending time with my brother," you said as your eyes started to water. "You're always busy with school and basketball its like there's no time for me."
Immediately, Takao scrambled off of Midorima's shoulder and brought you into a hug. "Come on, Midorima," he said. Whenever Takao uses his last name, he's being serious; especially since he only refers to him as Shin-chan. "I'm busy with school and practice as well, yet I still take time to hang out with my sister."
Midorima pushed his glasses up as a sigh escaped his lips. He really did care for you, you are his sister after all. "Fine." he said, caving in.
Both expressions on yours and Takao's faces immediately changed to ones of happiness. "Thanks Shin-chan!" you both exclaimed.
"However," Midorima said, causing the two celebrating teenagers to pause, "We will be hanging out at Takao's place."
"That's fine, onii-chan," you said with a smile. "What I wanted to do tonight involves being inside."
~~~ Time Skip brought to you by Kise being chased by his fan girls~~~
"So what pointless event do you have in store, (Y/N)?"
Currently, all three of you were in the living room. Midorima was on the couch, while both you and Takao were on the floor (you sitting with you back against his chest) with your laptop in front of you. "We're playing Five Nights at Freddy's 3," you say as you booted up the game.
It was at that moment that the main screen popped up, startling all three of you. (Refer to image above).
"I will not play that game, (y/n)," Midorima said, with a warning tone.
"You scared, Shin-chan?" Takao asked in between laughs.
"I don't get scared, nanodayo."
"You won't be, Shin-Shin! Takao will be," you said, which caused the raven-haired male to stop laughing.
"You say what now?" he asked, with a shocked and surprised look on his face. "That wasn't apart of the plan, (y/n)-chan. We were supposed to make Shin-chan scared."
"Oi! You planned this?!"
"Duh," you and Takao say in unison. "We wanted to see you get scared."
"I dont get scared, nanodayo."
"Regardless," Takao said, turning back to face you. "Why me?"
"Because I want you too. Besides, Shin promised to spend the night with me, and since I"ll be here, he'll stay as well."
Takao sighed. "Fine, but at least tell me what I have to do, (Y/N)."
"I will say that there's only one animatronic. In regards to what you have to do, you'll find out, nanodayo," you replied mocking your brother's 'catch phrase'.
"Oi!"
~~~~~~~ Night 1
12 am
Hey hey! Glad you came back for another night!
"Another night?" both Takao and Midorima asked in unison.
"Again, what part of Five Nights at Freddy's 3 didn't you two understand? Its the third installment of a saga. Now shush and Kazu, start familiarizing yourself while the guy is talking."
"[...] Uh, yeah you've officially become part of the attraction! You'll be starring as...the security guard! So not only will you be monitoring the people on the cameras as they pass through, you know, to make sure nobody steals anything or makes out in the corner, but you'll also be a part of the show! It'll make it feel really authentic, I think."
"Don't say anything, Shintarou," you said from your position on the floor; you heard your brother take a breath to most likely make a snarky remark.
Night 1 3 am
[...] Uh, for now just get comfortable with the new set up, um, you can check the security cameras over to your right with a click of that blue button. Uh, you can toggle between the hall cams and the vent cams...uh, then over to your far left, you can flip up your maintenance panel! Uh, y'know, use this to reboot any systems that may go offline. Heh, in trying to make the place feel vintage we may have overdone it a bit, heh heh. Some of this equipment is barely functional. I wasn't joking about the fire, that's- that's a real risk. Uh, the most important thing you'll want to watch for is the ventilation. Look, this place will give you the spooks, man, and if you let that ventilation go offline, then you'll start seein' some crazy stuff, man! Keep that air flowin'! Okay, keep an eye on things, and we'll try to have somethin' new for you tomorrow night."
"You'll help me, right, (Y/N)?" Takao asked, looking at your briefly by using his hawk eye.
"To an extent," you shrugged. "Was it really necessary for you to use your hawk eye when I'm right here?"
Takao continued to click between the different rooms, occasionally jumping when certain things randomly started to malfunction.
At that moment, the sound of chimes went off as the three of you saw the clock change from 5:59 am to 6 am.
"I survived the first night?" Takao questioned, in which you just nodded in response.
It was at that moment that a mini game thing appeared, where it looks like a video game. Takao picked up on what you had to do and started to roam the building.
"What do I do?"
"Follow the purple thing."
He did as he asked, only for him to jolt when he saw a purple guy appear and eat him (in this case, the character was Freddy).
"This game is going to be easy!"
You snorted as the screen for the second night appeared.
"What, nanodayo?"
"You'll see"
~~~~~~~~
Night 2 2 am
At this point, the security room started to flash red, which in all cases, isn't a good sign.
"What's happening?!"
"C-check the ventilation system, nanodayo."
"Did you just stutter, oni-chan?"
"Shut up, nanodayo."
Takao then panned back over to the map and started to look at the air vents. He clicked on a room and the eye of Springtrap appeared, which caught the three of you by surprise (since you were already familiar with this game, you weren't as scared or jumpy.
"Make sure you repair all systems," Midorima said, chiming in.
"Good idea, Shin-chan!" Takao said.
Unknown to them, the moment they got out of the camera settings, creepy Springtrap appeared as a jump scare.
Both boys jumped and screamed as expected and you laughed; however, the moment you heard a thud, you ran over and turned on the lights.
When your eyes adjusted, you saw your laptop thrown across the room. Once you inspected your laptop to make sure there wasn't any damage, you turned your attention to the other boys. Takao was holding the back of his head in pain (he must've hit his head against the glass coffee table).
"Kazu-chan, you okay?" you asked, as you went over to him and checked him over.
"Besides almost having a heart attack, I think I'm alright," he chuckled. "Ne, Shin-chan, you oka-" the male paused, noticing that his best friend wasn't on the couch. "Shin-chan?"
There was a moan from behind the sofa and both you and Takao scrambled getting on the couch cushions. You peered over the couch and saw the male, also holding the back of his head, his face scrunched up in pain.
"Shin-chan, are you okay?" you asked.
"W-what the hell w-was that, n-nanodayo?"
"That was Springtrap," you said, as you got off the sofa and went back to the laptop. "Do you boys still want to play?"
"Yes," Takao said, grabbing the laptop from your hands.
Before he could press continue, you decided to move the glass table.
"(Y/N)-chan. You took away my backrest."
"Come here you big baby," you said, as you resumed your position on the floor. This time, you had Takao sit between your legs with his back against your chest, as your arms were wrapped around his waist.
You heard some rustling next to you and you saw your brother sitting next to you, holding some pillows. "Shin-chan, you're joining us?"
"I-it's not because I'm scared, nanodayo," he said, his tsundereness kicking in once again.
~~~~Time Skip brought to you by Murasakibara's sweets~~~~~~~~
Night 5 5 am
"We're almost there, Shin-chan," Takao said, with a hint of excitement in his voice.
They were currently on the last hour on the last day; you had fallen asleep and had your chin resting on Takao's shoulder.
At that moment, Foxy decided to jump scare and both of the boys jumped.
The motion of Takao jumping, caused your neck to bounce up, as you yelped in pain. The minute you recovered, you looked at the scene in front of you. Once again, your laptop was across the room, but what was really strange was that Takao wasn't in front of you.
"What the-"
Confused, you turned your head and you couldn't help but laugh. Takao somehow  had his whole body wrapped around your brother's neck with his head buried on his shoulder - which reminded you so much of Scooby-Doo climbing on top of Shaggy-and your brother had his face buried in the pillow he was holding.
"It's not funny (Y/N)."
"Takao, get off," your brother yelled.
As your boyfriend got back on the floor, you had gone to retrieve your laptop. "I think we'll call it a night."
"G-good idea," Takao said, shaking as he stood up and checked his phone.
"Were you scared, onii-chan?" you asked, teasing your brother.
"O-of course not, nanodayo," he stuttered, pushing his glasses up on his face.
"Takao, Miyaji-san sent a mass text saying that we have practice in the morning. Would it be alright if I stayed here for the night? After all, your house is closer to school."
"Sure, Shin-chan. (Y/N)-chan can stay in my room-"
"TAKAO!"
"Not like that, Shin-chan!" he replied, putting his hands up defensively. "We would be sleeping in the living room while (Y/N) sleeps in my room."
"Like hell I'm letting you near her while she sleeps," he started, "N-not like I care, nanodayo."
A smirk then appeared on his face. "So (y/n), do you want me to tuck you into bed?" he asked, as his am snaked around your waist.
"Bakao!"
"Um. Why don't we all sleep in the living room? It will be like a giant slumber party."
The boys looked at each other and nodded. "Sound's fine to me."
Shutoko Gym
8 am
Midorima and Takao walked out of the locker rooms, only to find the rest of the team in a group huddle, laughing.
"What's going on guys?" Takao asked, as the two of them walked up to the group. Both boys stopped in their tracks when they heard the sound of screaming come from the group. Not just any scream, but their screams.
"What the hell? Nanodayo?!"
Laughing, Miyaji held out his phone and showed them what they were watching. "I thought you don't get scared, Midorima!"
They had been watching a video, and both boys recognized the background. They were at Takao's house; you were sitting next to Takao who had his laptop on his lap, while Midorima was on the couch. However, you were no where to be seen.
Both boys didn't have to watch the rest of the video to figure out why they had been laughing. It was their reactions to the first jump scare, and they knew who was behind it all.
"(Y/N)/(Y/N)-CHAN!

If only Words can Heal
Anime: Kuroko no Basuke Pairing: Kasamatsu Yukio x reader Rating: K+ A/N: Here’s the next chapter to the Kasamatsu series!! This time, it’s you comforting Kasamatsu during his loss to Touou. Honestly, I hope it makes sense, because I had the idea to comfort both boys, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. Once again, I uploaded this chapter super early on AO3 but just posting it on here now.  ______________________________________________
Golden hues stare at the ceiling, arms resting behind your head as the sound of music drown your thoughts. One leg bent, the other rests as you let your mind wander, full of emotion. It leaves you breathless, a few tears sliding down your cheeks as your gaze turns towards the outside.
Kaijou lost...
110-98.
Aomine Daiki truly was a monster.
______________________________________
"If I have to be honest, I'm not sure who will win this game."
Everyone at Seirin turns their heads towards you, golden hues narrowed ever so slightly. By now, it was revealed you were Kise Ryouta's twin sister, but no one treated you differently. If anything, they were upset you didn't say something sooner. You sat between Kagami and Kuroko, head resting in the palm of your hands.
"Ryouta is strong. There's no doubt about that. Kasamatsu-senpai is an excellent captain, and Kaijou as a whole is stronger than us, despite losing to us in the practice match... However..."
They watch your expression, can feel the hesitance in your voice.
"Aomine-kun's potential is an unknown... We didn't scratch the surface of his abilities during our match."
Kagami's rage surges beside you, and you gently nudge him. He meets your stare before looking back at the match, nails digging into the palm of his hands.
"______-san is correct. In any case, it wouldn't be weird if either of them win... However, Kise-kun has never won against Aomine-kun in a one-on-one."
___________________________________________
You haven't spoken to either boys since that day, practice taking up most of your free time. Between studying and helping out with the team, you were left to deal with your inner turmoil on your own. The tension between Kagami and Kuroko was cleared, albeit lingering every now and then.. But it seems since that match, they've been in higher spirits.. As if their passion for basketball has been revitalized.
Your eyes dim then, remembering the conversation you had with Hyuuga and Izuki the previous day.
___________________________________________
"Izuki-senpai... Hyuuga-senpai... Do both of you have a moment?"
The boys blink, halting their practice to listen. They watch you fidget for a few moments, everyone else having gone to run laps outside. You briefly wonder if Riko intentionally did this so you could talk alone.
"A...About our match against Touou..." you start, not meeting their eyes. "I...I'm sorry I wasn't more supportive."
They look at each other in confusion, eyebrows raised before a sigh leaves their lips. You're not prepared for Hyuuga to thump your head, and it makes you yelp, tears gathering at the corner of your eyes.
"Sheesh... I was wondering what you wanted to talk about... I didn't think it would be over something so stupid."
"W...What..."
"You've always been supportive ______! Why did you ever think you weren't?"
Your eyes widen at the captain's stern voice, seeing the truth blazing through his grey hues. Your mouth opens, preparing to retort his statement, when Izuki walks up to you, resting a hand on your shoulder.
"What Hyuuga means is, we've always had your support ____-chan... Our loss was a team loss.. You don't have to burden it alone."
Your golden hues widen, and you stubbornly rub them, not wanting the tears to slip down your cheeks. You sniffle for a few moments, trying to collect your thoughts together when a hand gently pats your head. You look up and see Hyuuga staring down at you, a soft frown on his lips.
"I don't know what happened back at Teiko... But you're at Seirin now... The only thing you have to do is show up and support us. Let me and Izuki handle the pain of losing.. Put your energy into being the best manager you can be."
You swallow, looking between both of them before feeling your eyes soften.
"W...What about our promise...?"
"D'aho!" Hyuuga shouts, messing up your hair roughly, "It's not your job to worry about that promise." he watches your expression change, and his eyes narrow, "I told you. That's my job to deal with. We will keep our promise to Kaijou.. To Kise... At the Winter Cup... But we can't do it without you."
You gasp lightly, feeling your lips quiver slightly at the conviction behind his words. You turn your head to look at the vice captain, seeing him smile softly at you. He nods his head, giving a thumbs up as he watches the interaction. You turn your gaze back towards the captain, finding yourself releasing a gentle sigh. A smile curls on your lips then, nodding your head.
"Of course... I'll do my best, captain!"
______________________________________________
It's then you sit up out of bed, almost out of breath at the revelation.. If you were feeling this way about your own team, there's a high chance Ryouta is feeling the same, if not worse about his loss... Which would explain the lack of responses from both him and your boyfriend. You turn your gaze to the screen beneath you, frowning at the time. If you were lucky, you'd be catching them just before they finished practice. Saturdays were extended due to no classes... You bite your bottom lip, jumping off the bed and grabbing a thin sweater. It didn't look like it would rain, so you took your chances.
Once you had your keys, and finished locking up the house, you ran to the train station, just hoping you could catch them before they left.
________________________________________________
You didn't think it would rain in Kanagawa, but it seems you were wrong, being caught in the downpour with little to protect you. Despite this, you urged yourself to run faster, silently grateful you chose to run with Seirin during practices. Your endurance seems to be getting better, if only slightly, but the rain was harder, pressing down on you as you picked up speed. The gates to Kaijou appeared in your sight, and you felt yourself breathe a sigh of relief...
Without wasting another moment, you head for the gym, ignoring the curious glances and hushed whispers of your appearance.
'Ryouta... Yukio...'
You reach the door in seconds, bending over to catch your breath. You should have brought a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated, but there's a lot of things you should've done before coming. The important one was making sure they were here to begin with.
"K...Kise-chan?"
Your eyes widen, head snapping up at seeing Takeuchi standing there, mirroring your stunned expression. You stand up fully, finding yourself slightly nervous under his gaze, but keep your golden hues on him.
"H...How do you know me?"
Your voice snaps him from his thoughts, and he scratches his head. "I did my research, when I was recruiting Kise to Kaijou... I've seen you three times, but it's hard not to tell you're related to him." he explains calmly, nudging his head, "I'll take you to him.. Maybe you can snap him out of his funk."
"U...Um... Y...You can call me _____-chan, coach..." you stutter, internally smacking your head, "I.. I don't want many people knowing we're related."
His eyes widen slightly, before he nods in understanding. "Of course, _____-chan... I'll keep that in mind. You came just as we finished."
You don't say anything else, following behind the older man. Now that you were here, what were you going to say to him?
_______________________________________
The walk is shorter than you anticipate, and you find yourself nervously standing around. You try to scan your eyes across the gym, hoping to find a certain scowling boyfriend or your overly bright brother, but neither were around. Maybe you missed them by a few seconds?? But coach told you they were just finishing their practice... And you didn't notice either of them passing by during the walk...
So then...
"Senpai... About our match against Touou...."
Those words brought you out of your thoughts... Immediately your head snaps up, eyes wide at seeing the two men you were looking for, in the corner of the gym, away from everyone else... This reminds you of what happened a couple days ago, and you stay still, not wanting to alert them of your presence just yet.
"I'm sorry we lost... It's my fault.. I wasn't strong enough..."
The silence is deafening, and you want nothing more than to run to your brother... To hug him and reassure him..
"Baka, what are you talking about?"
Kasamatsu's voice cuts in, and your eyes snap towards him, watching with baited breath.
"Did anyone else blame you for our loss? When it comes to the loss of a match, that's not your job to take responsibility... That's mine as Captain... Your job as the Ace is to keep moving forward, and lead us to victory."
Kise's eyes widen at his words, finding himself speechless. However, before he can say a word, he feels something wet and warm wrap around his waist. Turning his head, he sees you burying your face in his back, shivering in your wet clothes...
Wait..
"_______-CCHI!!? What are you doing here!!?? Why are you wet?!"
Kasamatsu looks behind his ace, stunned at seeing you standing there... In wet clothes that cling in all the right places... Clinging tightly to your brother... His shock is replaced with anger at your appearance, wondering why the hell you didn't get a new pair of clothes... He sighs loudly, quickly running towards the change room, grabbing a pair of his spare clothing before returning. He places a towel on your head, rubbing your hair to get your attention, hoping you won't question his red cheeks.
"G....Go get changed _____-chan.... Then we will talk."
___________________________________________
You bury your face in the towel draped over your head, keeping your eyes on your feet. You can feel both Ryouta and Kasamatsu's stares boring into you, but you were too much of a coward to look up... Not only were they standing there, Kobori and Moriyama, hearing the ruckus, joined them, and you were now surrounded by tall men... You were thankful everyone else left, but the tension was still there, and you wished your voice would work.
"_____-cchi..."
Your eyes snap up, meeting your brother's as he bends down to be on your level. When you realize how close he is to your face, you bite back a growl, jumping off the bleacher and smacking him in the face with the towel. The action startles the boys, and you're staring down at your brother, trying so hard not to faint from adrenaline. What the hell was going on with you today?
"D...Don't get too close, idiot!!!" you hiss, willing the blush to go down, "I'm not a fragile doll... You don't need to be careful!"
Ryouta rubs his cheek, staring up at you with widen hues, before getting onto his feet, never taking his eyes off you.
"I wouldn't treat you that way if you opened your mouth and told me why you were here! Don't you have practice today?"
You open your mouth, prepared to retort, but immediately sigh, rubbing the back of your head.
"Maybe if you weren't ignoring me, I wouldn't have to come here to check in on you."
Both Ryouta and Kasamatsu stare at you in shock, while Kobori and Moriyama watch silently. They're trying to put the pieces together, but even they understood the double meaning behind your words... Not only were you addressing Ryouta, you were addressing their captain.
Oh...
"_____-cchi..."
You let out another heavy sigh, turning your body around to avoid looking them. "Forget it. It's clear you guys are fine. I was just worrying for nothing... Sorry for intruding..."
Kasamatsu knows there's more you want to say, but he can tell you're uncomfortable with the added audience... If there's one thing he's learned about you, you've never done well with a large group of people around. He turns to look at the three males, eyes hardening.
"Can you three leave me and _____-chan alone? There's something I need to discuss with her in private."
Ryouta and Moriyama look at him, ready to refuse his request, but stop mid way. They see the pain hidden behind his gruff words, and don't say another word. Kobori is quick to usher them out, not without Ryouta petting your head gently. He gives you a tender smile, one he's only reserved for you alone, before leaving with his senpais.. Truthfully, he probably wouldn't be much help, and he knows you're still trying to adjust to loss..
When the boys leave, you feel the tension roll off your shoulders in the form of a shuddering sigh. You see a bottle being held towards you, and you look at your boyfriend, who's trying to keep his blush at bay. You smile at him softly, taking it and drinking some, hydrating yourself from the run. It's then you stare at Kasamatsu, feeling butterflies dancing around in your stomach. Flashes of him banging fists against a locker echo in your mind, his frustrated tears and cries have been haunting you since that loss.. And yet, you hadn't found to courage to comfort him...
Instead, your eyes met Ryouta's for a few moments, before turning around and running away.
It's then your body acts on its own accord, running into his arms. It catches him off guard, the bottle hitting the ground with an echoing thud as your arms wrap tightly around his waist, burying your face in his chest. He manages to catch you on time, preventing a fall as he tightens his hold on you, burying his face in your hair. His heart is beating fast in his chest, but he focuses his breathing on you, how you're lightly shaking and this makes him frown... He pulls back slightly, cupping your cheek and gets a good look at your eyes. They're glassy and filled with tears, but you refused to let them all show, causing Kasamatsu's heart to ache.
"What's wrong, _____-chan?"
He watches your face, seeing the conflicting emotions dancing within those golden hues... His eyes darken when you bite your bottom lip, as if begging him to kiss you... He takes that moment to swoop in, replacing your teeth with his, nibbling softly on your lower lip. You feel your cheeks burn at his actions, grabbing onto his shirt tightly as you allow yourself to relax against him. His presence has always done that to you, made you vulnerable and weak. But it was never a bad feeling. He always made you feel safe. And it's that thought which makes you pull away, resting one hand against his cheek.
"Y...Yukio..." you whisper, taking a deep breath, "I... I'm sorry I didn't comfort you sooner...."
Your words make him gasp softly, blue hues widening as he assesses you.
"_____-chan..."
"I... I heard you.... T..That day.." you whisper, avoiding his gaze. Instead you rest your head against his chest. "I... I wanted to go in and comfort you so badly.. But... I.. I couldn't move..."
You wrap your arms around his waist tighter, holding him close.
"More than anything, I wanted to wrap you in my arms like this... Keep you close to me as I tell you... How proud of you I am... How you amazed me throughout the whole match, especially when you charged Aomine-kun..." you smile softly, trying to calm your nerves. "But, the one thing I will never forget, is how you helped Ryouta when he was at his lowest... You picked him up from the ground, and carried him to the finish line..."
You pull back, meeting his steel-blue hues with golden hues, "You saved him, Yukio.... Saved our relationship... And.. I don't know how I can ever thank you for what you've done..."
You felt the wetness hit your hands before it dawned on you.. But when you realized Kasamatsu was crying, you found your lips quivering at how endearing it was, how sweet and pure it was to see him just as vulnerable as yourself. You give him a bright smile, despite the tears, and lift a finger up to wipe away his, massaging his cheek. He lets out a shuddering sigh, and you take that opening to stand on your toes to press a tender kiss to his lips. You wrap your arms around his neck, almost squealing when he picks you up, wrapping your legs around his waist and burying a hand in his hair.
The kiss lasts a few moments, but it's long enough to get your point across, and you pull away, burying your face in the crook of his neck. He looks at you, finding his blush vanishing and replaced with a smile. A hand massages your head as he presses a tender kiss to your forehead, holding you in his arms despite the aching from practice.
"Thank you, _____-chan..."

Okay Tia, here it is; now I don’t remember the exact wording that I had, but here we go!! May I please get a continuation of our lovely, mini Kasamatsu-saga (where she’s Kise twin-sister...I love this thing so much XD)? Kasamatsu gets accepted to a college in America, and while reader is happy for him, she is also upset that he would be far away. And at the senior retirement basketball ceremony at Kaijo, (so the end of both her and Kise’s second year) she gets an (1/2)
(2/2) *ahem* surprise of a lifetime (you know what that is ;) ). Cute, fluffy and funny-and of course Moriyama and Kobori must make an appearance somehow as well pretty please!? ________________________
OMG. So this has been sitting in my drafts since I had my box opened last.. and I meant to work on it sooner.. But due to life, I wasn’t able to get around to it… But now.. since I’ve slowly been working on things, I’ve found myself having motivation to write C: . Anyway, I hope this is to your liking Jupie!! (Also, i changed it so it’s Reader & Kise’s graduation!)_________________________
~Two years ago…~
“You’re…. going to America….?”
He swallows the lump in his throat, fingers trembling at the tone of your voice.. Graduation has come and gone, now it’s time for everyone to settle down and prepare for university… Kasamatsu was no exception…
Except, he has to leave sooner than the rest.
Part of him wishes he had the courage to discuss this with you sooner.. But Kasamatsu realized no amount of time would change how much this was going to hurt… Whether he told you sooner or not, it wouldn’t change the end result… with him leaving…
He meets your trembling lips, heart sinking in his chest at the tears rolling down your cheeks.. He can tell how hard you’re trying to keep it together… But it’s failing fast, and he can see the emotions spiraling out of control… His heart is breaking just as fast, if not faster, at the thought of saying bye…
He takes two steps, and immediately yanks you into his arms, pressing his mouth to yours in a passionate dance. He can feel your hands tremble, as if debating whether to push him away or to keep him close.. His hands are gentle on your cheeks, but his mouth speaks volumes, and soon he feels you responding back, with just as much passion and desperation as himself..
It takes him until he can’t breathe to pull away, pinning you beneath his body and the bed, which he somehow lead you two to land on.. It’s then he presses his forehead against yours, breathing in your scent as he collects his thoughts, trying hard to keep his attention on you…
“…I…  I got accepted to a University in New York..” he begins, opening his eyes to meet your glistening hues.. “… I want to study Architecture, and their program is the best in the country…”
He lets those words echo between your breaths, feeling his own eyes begin to brim with unshed tears.
“I.. It’s killing me…. ____-chan….” he whispers, cupping your cheek with his fingers, while gripping the blanket with the other… “T…The thought of being away from you for so long…” he chokes, biting back the sob clawing its way to his throat…
Your eyes dim, as if in understanding, and you cup his cheek, keeping his gaze on you.. You didn’t want him looking anywhere else but here…
“Yukio….” you whisper, tracing his bottom lip with your thumb, “I want you to go…”
His eyes widen, a tear slipping out and landing on your reddened cheek… “…B…But ____-chan…”
You shake your head, giving him a sincere smile… “I…I know how hard you studied to get in… And it’s your dream, Yukio….” you bite your lip, letting out a soft sigh, “What kind of girlfriend would I be if I stopped you from achieving it?”
There’s a brief silence, their eyes speaking volumes as the words sank in..
“I’ll miss you… a lot.” you iterate, but full of conviction. “But I never want to be the reason you’re unhappy… And… me keeping you here because I’ll miss you is selfish.”
He bites back a whine, pressing his mouth back onto yours once more, this time with a renewed determination.. He’ll spend all night proving how much he loves you, even if it means you can’t walk for the next week.
________________________________
~Present~
_______________________________
The time has come… Graduation has landed upon you. The past two years without seeing Kasamatsu had been rough, but you persevered.. With the help of your senpais and twin brother… When the third years left, you decided to transfer to Kaijou, not enjoying the time spent traveling to Seirin… The basketball team was sad at your departure, but they understood well, and they still hung out with you, despite being a rival school.
Moriyama and Kobori came around often, at least every other weekend… They may have gone to different universities, but they made time to see and coach you and Kise… Of which you were grateful..
And now… Here you stood… Behind your brother, waiting for your name to be called to receive your diploma… There was a small part of you that was sad your boyfriend couldn’t make it back in time.. Due to time-zone differences.. But he was arriving later that night, and you couldn’t wait…
“Kise _____!”
At hearing your name, you followed behind your brother, smiling wide at the cheers in the crowd… You had gained a fan club, not just because of your brother, but because of your own skills for the volleyball team… Bringing them the championship cup that was displayed proudly in your living room..
“WAY TO GO _____-CHAN!!!”
Upon hearing Moriyama’s voice, you turned your head, golden hues glittering in happiness. Your eyes scanned the group, holding up a banner saying congratulations for both you and Kise… Kobori… Nakamura.. Hayakawa… and Kasamatsu…
Wait….
As you left the stage, your eyes widen upon seeing your boyfriend standing there, in all his handsome glory, smirking proudly at you.. His raven locks a tad longer, but still as graceful as when he left.. If anything, he seemed to have gained more muscle.. and his height was slightly taller too.. Before you could embarrass yourself further, you turned your gaze away, focusing on trying not to fall flat on your face…
Oh you were going to kill Moriyama for lying…
__________
As soon as you were allowed to join your family, you immediately ran towards the smaller group waiting for you and your brother.. After bidding farewell to your parents, you were immediately picked up by Moriyama, ignoring the glare and kicks from his previous captain.
“Oh _____-chan!! We’re so proud of you!!!” he cooed, rubbing his cheek against yours… The attention made you fluster, and you began to fidget, almost being dropped when the taller male fell to his knees.
“OI! Quit smothering her Moriyama!!” Kasamatsu seethed, fingers twitching in anger.
“Well? What are you waiting for, Kasamatsu?” Kobori asked, raising an eyebrow.. “Go say hi to her!”
A blush dusted his cheeks, casting a half-heated glare at his old vice captain, before feeling his breath rush out of him. He looks down, feeling your body quiver and shake as you crush him to your chest, shaking your head in denial…
“….Y…You lied to me!!! Y… You told me you’d be here later tonight!”
His eyes soften, and he immediately returns the hug, squeezing you firmly as he rests his face in your hair.
“I…I’m sorry _____-chan… I got my times mixed up…”
You pull your head back to meet his blue hues, golden hues glistening with tears, “Y…You… You’re mean… Yukio-senpai…”
The way you say ‘senpai’ bristles him, and before he can stop himself, he pulls you away from the group, blue hues darkening at your protests.. He ignores the jabs and jokes from his old team, the whine from the male blonde, and pulls you to the men’s change room, pressing you into the wall.
“Want to repeat yourself…. _____-chan?”
Your cheeks flush, but you can hear the underlying tone, the challenge in his voice.. You meet his gaze with your own, grabbing his jacket between your fingers as you mutter…
“I…I said you’re mean…. Y…Yukio-senpai…”
He lets out a click of his tongue, steel-hues dark as he hardens his resolve.. His hand cups your cheek, holding you in a staring match before a small growl leaves his throat. The sound vibrates through your body, and as you prepare to move, he’s already silencing you with his mouth, meshing your bodies together, until neither of you can tell who’s body is which.
His fingers rest in your golden locks, grasping them as he slants his mouth over yours, deepening the kiss until neither of you can breathe.. His heart is racing in his chest, but he’s determined to touch you, to memorize the lips he’s been missing over the past two years… He just wants to lock you up and never let you leave…
It’s only when you whisper his name against his lips, does he realize you feel the same… And when he feels the tears on his lips, he withdraws for a moment, staring down at you with those gorgeous eyes you fell in love with.. And then, you jump into his arms, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and cry, trembling with emotions as you bury your face in his neck..
“Y….Yukio….” you whisper, gasping for breath, “Y…Yukio…!”
He buries his face in your neck, breathing in your scent as he crushes you to his chest… God he doesn’t want to let you go..
“I’m here…” he whispers with trembling lips, “I’m here, _____-chan…”
He’s not sure how long the two of you are locked in this embrace for, but one thing’s for certain…
He’s back home.

Read Between the Lines
Anime: Kuroko no Basuke Pairing: Kasamatsu Yukio x reader Rating: K+ A/N: So I wanted to originally include MORE of reader-chan’s past with Teiko in this chapter.. But half-way through, realized it would kind of rush things. I can see Kasa being the kind of person who can sense discomfort and reassure them they don’t have to talk about it. But he would lend an ear when they’e ready. I did mention some of Teiko in here.. so if anyone has questions, please don’t hesitate to ask !
_________________
Every weekend you would hang out at the mall.
It was something Kise made you do, because you didn't hang out with many people outside the Generation of Miracles. The main reason was you feared allowing anyone in, should they try to use you to get close with your brother. Since his modelling career took off, and joining the basketball team, Kise's fanbase grew exponentially... You remember when the two of you first entered Teiko, how girls would swarm around your brother because of his beauty...
Truthfully, you envied his looks, despite being his twin. There was something about your brother that made you feel inferior...
Your family was model-material... Belonging in that world. You did as well, but you always felt out of place... As if you could never compare to them. You felt inferior somehow... Perhaps because Kise was born before you; making you the youngest in the family. He was protective, always on guard whenever a boy approached you.
But once his fame and popularity kicked in, your brother became a ghost. A shell of who he used to be.
You followed with what he wanted, because it meant you were spending time with him..
You were considered a special person in Kise Ryouta's life.
But as the team changed, so did your feelings towards them... Towards your brother, who you swore to love unconditionally. Your heart began to break in ways you couldn't imagine... As if you were losing the most important man in your life...
Until... you lost him to Teiko's basketball team... To his cold demeanour... And you chose to run from everything, to start fresh...
Coincidentally, you followed Kuroko to Seirin. Despite that, you felt the decision you made was the right choice, and you stand by it.
And yet, why did it feel lonely to accept?
_______________________________________
Being at the mall brought up unwanted memories you wished to forget. They weren't all bad of course, but you've never been one for big, open spaces... To feel stares on you, as if being watched with every move you make. It left you anxious and wishing you were invisible.
Until you met Kasamatsu Yukio.
"What was it we had to shop for again?"
You giggle, peering at him through your golden locks. The scowl on his lips indicates he didn't want to be here any more than you.. Something that makes your stomach twist in knots.
"My brother's birthday is in a few weeks, so I have to get him something or he'll cry." you roll your eyes, scratching the back of your head. "He can be a little.... dramatic.."
Kasamatsu blinks, raising an eyebrow at your words. This is the first time you've mentioned having a brother... And yet, he sounds like a very familiar kouhai he deals with on a daily basis. Sure, there are some familiar traits you share with him, but surely that's a coincidence... Right? He shakes his head then, looking around the mall..
There's no way you're related to Kise.
He sighs, scratching his head. "Well... want to get this over with and go grab dinner?"
At first you feel a little down at his words, but then you hear 'dinner' and the doubt vanishes... It's clear he wants to spend time with you, regardless what you're doing.. And if anything, it makes your respect for Kasamatsu deepen. You want to go to dinner as quickly as possible... You want his attention on you instead of everywhere else...
God, what has gotten over you lately?
Before you can explore those thoughts further, you grab his hand, ignoring the heat running through your veins.
"Let's go, senpai! I want to eat!"
The blush hits his cheeks, and he finds himself stuttering as you drag him through the mall, ignoring his weak protests, "O....O...Oi! _____!"
________________________________
After entering three different stores, two of which were for your brother, the third being a place Kasamatsu wanted to visit, you end up down the street at Maji Burger. A part of you is skeptical for coming here, because two certain basketball players associated with your brother frequent this place often.  But more than anything, you were hungry and you wanted something cheap since your wallet took a hit from your brother's gift...
When it comes to Kise, it has to be an original... Otherwise he won't use it.
You sigh, eying the bag carefully, secretly hoping he'd like it.. You weren't sure if his tastes changed since entering Kaijou... But you couldn't go to your other sisters about it... They would ruin the surprise like usual.
"Oi... You okay _____?"
Blinking, you stare into steel hues tinted with worry, and you smile, shaking your head.
"I'm fine... Just a bit anxious about the gift.." you admit sheepishly, taking a bite out of a fry, "My brother... he's very... erm… specific with items like that... If they're not a certain brand, he won't wear or use them."
Kasamatsu blinks, a frown on his lips, "Sheesh... Sounds like a pain in the ass.. Your brother, I mean."
You laugh, scratching your head, "I mean.. you get used to it. I tend to tune out most of his bad habits."
He nods, chewing his burger quietly. He's never known you to be open about your family, and seeing a new side of you has him curious.
"Where'd you go in middle school?"
A brief moment of silence, before you mutter.
"Teiko."
His eyes widen, and he takes this time to assess you, from the tone of voice to your rigid posture... He can tell you're tense, as if not wanting to discuss things further.. And yet, he was able to see a slight hint of loneliness creep into your golden eyes. Along with resentment. He does a double-take, unsure how to proceed. Once he finishes his mouthful, he clears his throat, looking out the window.
"You don't have to talk about it."
His voice cuts through you, and you almost snap your neck at his words. Until you find yourself sighing softly.
"It's not like I don't want to..." you begin, finding yourself lost for words... "I.. I just don't know where to start..."
He watches you from across the table, and finds himself lost for words himself... He could see you wanted to open up, but you had no idea how to approach the topic at hand.. He reaches over, flicking your forehead before scowling.
"Like I said... You don't have to talk about it now." he vows. "I can tell it's caused you a lot of pain... And talking about something like that..." he pauses, staring down at his hands, "It's not easy... Especially when you don't know how the other person will react." he sighs, "So... we don't have to keep on this topic for tonight. Just know, when you're ready to talk, I'll be here to listen."
Your heart races at his concern, and you blink back tears threatening to escape. Instead, you let out a soft sigh, feeling as though the invisible pressure suddenly vanishes the moment you hear his voice. To see his steel-blue hues meeting your golden ones, it makes everything feel... good... You smile big at him, nodding instead of speaking because you can't find your voice, and you hesitantly reach out to rest your hand on his.
"....T....Thank you... Kasamatsu-senpai..."
His eyes go from your hands to your eyes, and he finds his heart skipping a beat. The genuine tone in your voice matches your eyes, and he finds himself sweating just a little. Yet he doesn't make a move to pull back his hand... Rather, his hand turns over to grasp yours, gently stroking the back of your skin with the pad of his thumb.
"...Y..You don't have to thank me... idiot..." he whispers, unable to turn his gaze from yours, "Y..You're too young to shoulder the burden alone."
Whether he was voicing those thoughts for you or himself, he wasn't sure... But one thing was certain. Kasamatsu was protective of you. And the idea of you shouldering pain alone... to be dealing with situations without asking for him leaves him slightly empty. Despite that, when you smile brightly at him, every doubt vanishes, and he finds himself smiling back at you.
During the silent communication, you didn't notice the softness within sky-blue hues, or the tiny smile on Kuroko's lips.
