James Roday Rodriguez (Psych, A Million Little Things) is the producer of a new stage show called "Masters of Puppets" This is the story of how the fate of a billionaire marriage and a wrestling empire are all decided in one night. Everything is on the line for everyone inside and outside of the ring. It’s a winner take all battle that shows you what happens when money, love, and a real rough business fight it out on stage! Speaking on the play James says “I have been a pro wrestling fan my whole life. From its humble beginnings in traveling carnivals to the billion-dollar industry that fills arenas across the world, one thing has always been intrinsic to its machinations: storytelling. Masters of Puppets peels back the canvas and gives us a peek at the shoots behind the works, and it's absolutely electric. Ging Ging."
“Master of Puppets” runs until June 11th at The Legacy Theatre in Branford, CT. Tickets and more information on the show can be found here. T
I would try and find another promotion to replace my coverage of NWA, but I don’t really want to watch IMPACT as I’m not a fan, nor larger promotions because that’s a larger undertaking with people already working on it. On the other end, I don’t want to cover an indie promotion with a weekly show like OVW or Reality of Wrestling, as while I’m sure there are some talented wrestlers there, unless I’m sure it’ll be an entertaining watch, I don’t really want to sit through a bunch of wrestlers on a smaller stage still honing their craft – that’s why I don’t want to keep up with NWA!
I was considering covering notable indie promotions instead like Warrior Wrestling, House of Glory, GCW or Prestiege, but while they do have some storylines, I feel due to not having weekly TV, I wouldn’t be as interested in covering them.
If you have any suggestions for a replacement for NWA, let me know – hell, maybe I’ll cover an older defunct promotion, like Smokey Mountain Wrestling, or HUSTLE. Until then, I’ll try to be back in a week with MLW coverage if nothing else – I might just focus on getting up to date on the most recent episode while I work out what supplementary content to check out. See you next time!
Also idk how many of you follow Booker T’s promotion in Texas, Reality of Wrestling, but they got some cool stuff and Booker just wrestled his first match in ages over there
It also regularly features one of my favorite indy guys right now, Bryan Keith
Ballad's new design! Can't wait to design every other forms he has as well. But that'll come later. Regardless, I really like how the design looks now compared to the others.

- Extra details/thoughts under the cut.
The sword sheathe is a little crunchy, its part of a redesign idea I had that I scrapped. But the sheathe itself I liked, so I pasted it into his ref page before blocking in the new details. But it's crunchy because I had to resize it and didn't want to redraw the whole thing <- ultimately just laziness on my part.
Green cloth is totally optional, so here's a look underneath in case it's needed.
No colors for this version tho. I didn't really plan for it to be in the ref. Maybe some other day.
Regarding other forms. I may include either some of his mask forms but that'll require some thinking and concept art. I WILL be making a proper fullbody of his Fierce Deity form tho along with Forest (oot) getting a good ref as well. (Forest does have a ref I just don't like it so I never posted it lol.) And ofc once that's all done they'll get their own lineup page. Feel free to probe me for any details till then. It'll be kind of a long process since I'm also working on FD's origin.
