I was having dinner today with a group of my college friends and a couple of their hometown friends that we’ll call ‘L’ and ‘M’. L started asking one of my friends, we’ll call them R, if they believe that t swift is queer or if she’s queerbaiting with her music. R said that they thought she wasn’t queerbaiting and that it’s basically “the same thing that harry styles is doing”. Both me and M chimed in and said “it’s not”. L asked us why we thought it was different and I was gonna just say that he’s definitely come out several times in his life and that people just don’t pay attention. Instead of answering though, I encouraged M to answer first and her answer shocked me. M said that a friend she made at her college, who grew up in NY, told her about how it’s common knowledge in some parts of NY that harry vacations there on some island with his boyfriend and that he’s actually gay. This was crazy because I’ve never talked to M about harry and louis ever and she’s actually said before that she doesn’t really like harry bc of how idolized he is for his femininity when hes not the first to do that etc etc (which is so understandable). So I know that she’s not like secretly a larrie trying to push her ‘agenda’ on the rest of the group. Anyways just thought I should tell someone because I literally had to try so hard not to react when she said that.

Okay, interesting! But like.. random people in NY just know Harry is around on some island? lol That's pretty creepy. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

I was waiting in line at a checkout and in front of me was a mother with her young child. They finish checkout and the cashier asks whether the mum wants the receipt and she smiles and declines, but the wee boy stays and looks inquisitively at the receipt and the cashier goes "Oh! Do you want the receipt? Okay here you go." And the kid smiles like a gremlin, takes it, and obviously very happy, follows his mum out, and I- Just.

Humans are great. That made me happy.

The word "abundance" has off lately become very close to my heart as if the very word itself connotes to the truth that whatever is being sought by the heart is only being sought because of its existence and rather close existence and its impending arrival. It is like something overflowing above your head, beneath your feet, within yourself, everywhere and in plentiful. All one need to do is to tap into it. All one need to do is to be receptive enough for it. When it rains, why take a shelter, if your desire is to get drenched. When the sky is cloudless, why sit under the shade of a tree, if to be sunkissed is what you desire. When the waves are crashing against the shore, why still sit there far behind and clothed, if it is to dive deep and swim what you truly desire. To me, I see our desires as subtle navigators, that is so clearly acting as a compass to our ultimate destination - why hide them, why run away from them - when every sign in universe is asking us to follow them. Our heart knows best what it needs and it knows the path too. Very often it is our own rationality that comes in the way. The ifs and the buts. Abundance is omnipresent, all you've to do is to place yourself in perfect alignment to receive it. The kettle is constantly pouring, just position your cup accordingly...
