Student Of The Year Rewatch Thoughts? Idk reallly know what this is yet lmao

I hope this reaches my target audience

Firstly, it's been too long since I've rewatched this I used to watch it whenever it came on tv and I'd find it while surfing

Secondly, I still enjoy this movie I think lmao

Let's see

-okay so to start with the kukkad song

-I never realised that the lyric says " ainu vekhe de munde to kehnde Oh My God" I always thought it was kudiye both times

-kinda gay tbh jk jk

-Abhi is in the wrong tbh like this guy is parking a bike in a car park and then is like who said this is an entitled rich boy's parking LIKE WHY ITS A CAR PARK NOT A BIKE PARK

I STILL DONT KNOW HOW I HADN'T REALISED IT TILL NOW

-then he goes and ruins a beautiful Ferrari😭

-one big question I have is how can Abhi even have thee audacity to get into physical fights with rich boy on what seems to be his first day

-this man is here on a scholarship he can't afford to do all this on his first day bro

-I always loved Siddharth Malhotra more than Varun Dhawan while there were many dying over varun

In the past two days I watched Khoobsurat (2014) and Kapoor and Sons (2016). Yes the commonality between both is Fawad Khan who I'm a fan of.

Khoobsurat was a fun, light, predictable movie, funny and straightforward to watch. It's great to watch simple things with good vibes every so often.

Kapoor and Sons...I loved it so much. I love love love family-centric shows/films with lots of domestic vibes and details. Asian and Arab dramas are unmatched in this regard. Potential spoilers ahead I guess. The first half of the movie was really chill and funny. The second half took turns upon turns and I basically cried for the last 40ish minutes straight. Stories like these make me think soooo much about family and life.

I already feel so nostalgic and sad about stuff...like I already feel nostalgia for the present time as if I am remembering it from a future time. And movies like this one just reinforce that feeling and just remind me to live more intentionally and....nicely (?) with those who matter...

I know everyone was the main character but Fawad Khan really stood out here. If Pakistani writers start coming up with half decent scripts and movie ideas, maybe he'll do a movie at home too 🙄

In the middle of the movie, I thought I'd recommend it to my mum and dad...a lot of the family vibes and issues were quite relatable while neatly intermixed with comedy...but I won't now because it just got quite emotional at the end...at least for me.

Really good watch in a long time.
