Meet Chucky!🥰 The people we got him from said he has major people and food aggression issues and at first when we got him we didn't see any people aggression but we had had him for less than 5 minutes😂💖 He eventually did end up biting me and making me bleed a bit but I don't think it was his fault because he's just really scared and keeps backing away whenever I see if he'll let me pet him and I was petting his head💖 It still took him awhile to resort to that because the carrier cage he was in before was tiny and I had to pull him out of it and squish him a bit to be able to get him out and he squeeked at me but didn't bite me and didn't bite me right away while I was petting him either💖

So tumblr has started putting this little banner at the top of posts from new accounts, and honestly I kinda dig it. I've seen a lot of people get absolutely eviscerated for doing something that was perfectly normal on their previous platform but a huge faux pas here, and I think this little banner will go a long way to mitigating that.

Ok so update from last night😅💖 I was holding Chucky trying to get him used to us and I heard whistling whenever he breathed and I was pretty sure that was a sign of a uri so I looked it up to be sure and messaged our rat owner/breeder friend and consulted with her so we're currently treating him and keeping a close eye on him and everyone else. He's been separated since he got here (Which was only like 2 days ago) because of his aggression until we can try to introduce him to a friend so I'm not too worried about him spreading it except for the fact I've been handling him and then our other rats before I knew. What he has is highly contagious so we're taking all the precautionary measures we can and sanitizing after any contact with him or his cage. Everybody's pretty ok so far but if anyone goes down hill they'll be rushed to the vet asap💖
