"Damn, I love the way you taste.. between your legs with your flower on my face. Thighs blooming as I consume you and make your legs shake, in your room listening to tunes as I lie awake.. thinking of you and the things we do, I want to make you feel great."
Gotta love the way she talks dirty while I'm eating it - eUë

Reflect Upon The Qur'an
(The Prophet ﷺ said): “There will emerge people from my ummah who will drink al-Qurʾān as they drink milk.” (سيخرج أقوام من أمتي يشربون القرآن كشربهم اللبن) Meaning: they will recite it with their tongues hastily, أي يسلقونه بألسنتهم without reflecting over its meaning, من غير تدبر لمعانيه And thinking deeply about its commands. ولا تأمل في أحكامه Rather, it (ie: the recitation) flows freely out of their mouth just as when milk (is drunk) it quickly flows over their tongues.

Quote
The days are very long and very short... Everything takes forever. This slow, sort of numbing waiting and then rushing and taking care of this and that and then one gets to the end of the day and you want it all back to do again but also for it all to be over.

No longer specifically dated to the 1984 Olympics -- any Olympics will do -- and disco is out (oddly still in place in the mid 80s). But I am more curious, and I hate to be gossiping here but-- who is the androgynous-fashioned person Dilton is walking arm in arm with in the background?

Stories take time to write, and even longer to refine, especially as we're all developing writers. We each have strengths and weaknesses and are building our skills as we go. Sometimes we don't know what we don't know, and so may not be the best judge as to whether a story is ready to move forward. And yet, I see writers rush toward publication, skipping some of the necessary steps to ensure their book is as strong as it can be. And unfortunately, it ends the same way - a book that wasn't ready, and the author feeling disappointment and disillusionment when their novel fails to gain traction with readers.
