The Almost Kiss
Tumblr media
A/N: this is for @perfectluminarylight who is sick.  Please enjoy your fluffy little dreams
word count: 969
“Hey, baby.  I forgot my library card, do you mind if I still check you out?”  The words came out of the man’s mouth and Myin hiccuped before looking up at him.
“What?”  She asked absolutely disgusted that she had almost found the joke funny.  She had been sitting at the bar for almost an hour and the bartender kept filling her drink up, telling her it was ‘on the house’.  She should have been paying more attention to the number of drinks she had finished but it was hard when he would refill it before it was empty.
“I said I’d like to take you home and look between the sheets at you,” he got real close to her face and ran his hands over her shoulders and down her arms.
“You are really bad at this,”  Myin started to giggle uncontrollably.  “Maybe you should drop the book references and go for something simpler.”  She grinned drunkenly.
“God, you’re such a lightweight, nerd.” He snarled rudely.  Myin was taken aback.  It wasn’t that she had meant to be rude to him, just that she didn’t want to hear him talk anymore.  He started to lean in closer to her with his lips puckered and Myin leaned away from him unsteady on her stool.
“I think you should leave,” Came a firm voice from behind the man.  Myin looked over his head and recognized the taller man from one of her classes.  She thought his name was Sam.
“I don’t think you are part of this conversation.” Myin decided that she would call the man who had been hitting on her asshole.
“Hey, asshole, he asked you to leave.  Maybe you should do what he says before someone gets hurt,”  Myin slurred and both the asshole and Sam looked at her.  The asshole with some measure of amusement and Sam with a level of concern.  Myin thought Sam might study law.  Which was ultimately a waste of shoulders like that.
“Pre-law here isn’t going to hurt anyone.  Are you Sam,”  Asshole was really pushing her buttons, but at least she was right about Sam’s name.
“No one has to get hurt,” Sam affirmed putting his hands up defensively.  Myin saw Asshole grip his beer bottle a little differently as he started to raise it.
“Look out!”  she shouted as she tried to stand and fell on top of asshole knocking them both to the ground with a groan and a gasp from the crowd at the bar.
“You alright there miss?”  The bartender asked as he noticed the incident.
“She’s fine, I’ll take her home,”  Sam said smiling tightly as he held up her keys.  Myin looked at the shine of her keys wondering how Sam had gotten the from her pocket before Sam was standing her up and walking her out of the bar.
“Did he hurt you?”  Myin asked.  Sam chuckled as he realized she had no idea she had come to getting hurt.
“I’m fine, thanks for saving my ass.  I’m not used to being the damsel in distress,”  Myin laughed brightly at his joke as she regained some of her own footing and directed them back to her dorm.
“I find it hard to believe with hair like that,”  She jested.
“Want me to walk you up the stairs, Myin?”  He asked fairly sure she wouldn’t make it.  Myin looked at him suddenly aware of the fact that Sam had remembered her name from their class.  There were at least a hundred students in the class.
“Sure,”  She said quietly.  Her mind was still working really slowly from the alcohol as they went slowly up the stairs to her third floor dorm.
“You really got lucky with where your room was located,”  Sam laughed as they were going up the last flight of steps.
“Yes same with my roommate,”  Myin chuckled getting a little dizzy from turning.
“Tell me about her?” Sam prompted.  Myin was sure that he didn’t care.  He just wanted more information about her.
“She dropped out of class two weeks in.  I live alone.”  Myin realized she might have said too much as they got to her door.  Sam pulled out her keys and unlocked the dorm and walked her to her room.
“Sit,”  Sam ordered as he knelt down in front of her and slipped her shoes off.
“Where are you going?”  Myin asked as Sam walked out of her room.  He came back a moment later with a cup of water and a bottle of Asprin.
“How much did you drink?” Sam asked as he knelt back down to be on level with her.
“No idea.”  She swallowed hard as she realized she was alone with a man she barely knew and she was completely wasted.
“If you think you’re gonna be sick just shout for me,”  Sam said as he started to move away.
“Wait,” She said.  He turned to look her in the eyes.  The warm chocolate of her eyes met the calming hazel of his. “How did you remember my name?”  Sam chuckled.
“You don’t remember me, huh?” He asked as he reached out gently and pushed her hair out of her face.  She realized he was putting her hair in a ponytail.
“Sam?”  She whispered his name for the first time. She felt his hand cup her cheek in comfort as their faces moved close together.
“You left your backpack in class the other week, remember?”  His breath warmed her lips they were so close to each other.  Sam couldn’t say why, but he just wanted to be close to her.
He huffed a short laugh as her forehead tipped forward and she rested against his chin.  Sam laid her back on her pillow before covering her up and going to lie on her couch.

Pond Diving - MyinConnelly1
Tumblr media
Welcome to today’s Pond Diving Spotlight! We hope that you enjoy this little insight to our members and perhaps even find some useful tips for your own writing. Happy reading!
Want to volunteer, send us an ask! We’re looking forward to learning more about all of you! Not sure what PD is, you can learn more here.
“Don’t Be Koi About It” - All About You
Name: Myin (pronounced Min; and no it’s not my real name)
Age: 26
Location: Florida
URL: @myinconnelly1
Why did you choose your URL: My pen name!!!
What inspired you to become a writer: My husband suggested if I was gonna keep jotting down notebooks full of story ideas I might as well actually write and try and sell it.
How long have you been writing: On tumblr 2.5 years. In the safety of my notebooks. Um like 12 years.
What do you do when you are not writing i.e. Job/Hobbies etc? I love watching movies, playing board/card game, and playing RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons
How long have you been in the SPN Fandom? On tumblr 2.5years. I started watching the show in 2011
Are you in any other fandoms and do you write for them? Marvel, the Witcher, Disney. < I write for these. Star Wars but I don’t really write for it. And I’m always looking for a new thing to sink my time in.
Do you do any writing outside of fanfiction? If so, tell us about it? Yes, I write original fiction. Some of which I have ‘published’ on amazon. Links are on my masterlist along with small excerpts.
Favorite published author: Michael Crichton
Have you ever read a book that made an impact on your life? Which one and why?: Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton. It was the first book I read that I actually enjoyed reading. Also and this may seem silly, but harlequin romance books. I was a terribly slow reader but thanks to those smut feasts I developed a much higher reading and comprehension speed.
Favorite genre of fanfic (smut, angst, fluff, crack, rpf, etc): Smut angst crack
Favorite piece of your own writing: On the Hunt
Most underrated fic you have written: Throwing Pebbles
Story of yours that you’d most like to see turned into a movie/tv show: The Golden Knight
Favorite Tumblr Writer(s): In no particular order: @kittenofdoomage, @impala-dreamer, @idreamofplaid, @waywardsistershy, @covered-byroses, plenty of others
Favorite fic from another writer:  Memory by @idreamofplaid
Favorite character to write: This goes back and forth between Dean and Sam
Favorite Pairing to write: Dean x ofc/reader
Least favorite character to write (and why): Castiel. I just don’t vibe very well with his character.
Do you have anyone you consider a mentor? Not really
Do you have any aspirations involving your writing? I would love to be paid. On a smaller scale I would love to see someone trying to find one of my stories.
How many work-in-progress stories do you have: 15 roughly
What are you currently working on? I have a/b/o bingo and AU bingo along with several multi-part fics and series.
“Pond Diving” - All About The Writing
What/who has had the biggest influence on your writing? Accepting what I like and not being bothered by it.
Best writing advice you've been given: Write what you like.
Biggest obstacle you’ve faced in your writing: Being pregnant lol, it sounds funny but I can’t invest the time when I’m pregnant. (It happens more often than you’d think) in general finding time in my schedule is the hardest part.
What aspects of writing do you find difficult when you write fanfiction? Planning. I don’t usually have a full image in my mind at the beginning of the writing process and let the story take me where it wants to go. Which can be hard if something is really deep and I have to plan on how to get there.
Is there anything you want to write but are afraid to (and why): I have a series that is in progress. The first chapter is done. But it’s such a big project that it is daunting and makes me nervous.
What inspires/motivates you to write: Everything inspires me, but feedback motivates me the most.
How do you deal with self doubt: I have a handful of people that I’ve made friends with and they are my cheerleaders. I will also go back and reread old comments to cheer me up!
How do you deal with writer's block: I usually start a new story. I will also change my music.
Do you plan/outline your story before you start: Not usually. And when I do it’s normally bare bones.
Do you have any weird writing habits: I don’t think they are unusual but I tend to play the same song on replay until I get a scene written.
Have you ever received hateful comments on your fic and how do you deal with it? No I have not thankfully.
Conversely: what’s been some of your favorite feedback on your fanfic? I love seeing things like I could see this as an episode of the show, or that a character portrayal is spot on. I eat that up.
If you could give one piece of advice to a new and/or struggling writer, what would it be? Try to envision your story as an episode of the show, how would the characters react to the situation (whatever it be)?

So I need a flow chart... If your the Gabe to Emily’s Sam and Emily’s otp is Myin and Sam does that mean she ships Myin x Emily? Or because she ships Myin x Sam and I’m Dean and she’s Sam = Dean x Sam = Dean x Emily?? I’m so confused lol
Hmmm. I hadn’t thought about that. @emilyshurley you wanna weigh in?

This was the third time. They were going to figure it out soon. You’d turned down Dean’s offer of a beer twice this week. Now, he was handing you a glass of whiskey to celebrate success on your last hunt, and you shook your head giving the excuse that you had a headache.
Luckily, neither of them had been around when you’d gotten sick. But there was no way you could hide it much longer; you were going to have to tell Sam you were pregnant. He might not even remember the night you’d conceived, and part of you hoped he didn’t.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam had been unusually hungry since getting his soul back. You sat at the table with him in Bobby’s kitchen watching him eat a sandwich. You’d been present when Death returned Sam’s soul to him. You’d watched him struggle against his bonds and beg for it not to happen. It had hurt, not like his behavior over the past several months, but he still looked and sounded like your Sam. All you saw was your scared and desperate Sam.
Once it was done, all Sam’s memories of his time without a soul were gone. As soon as he saw you, he pulled you close to him in an embrace that was too intimate to be called a hug. He didn’t remember it, but he felt and knew he needed you. When Sam was scared, he always reached for you.
You had dreamed of him holding you like this, having him back. You’d been there to witness Sam’s soul being restored; you knew he had it. Still, it was hard to forget when he didn’t. You remembered the things he’d said, the things he’d done.
After Sam disappeared into that hole in the ground in order to stop the Apocalypse, you had cried yourself to sleep every night. The idea of never seeing him again was bad enough, but knowing he was suffering unthinkable torments in hell was unbearable.
Dean had gone to Lisa just like he’d promised Sam he would. You had retreated to Bobby’s with a broken heart and no desire whatsoever to hunt by yourself. You spent your time reading Bobby’s lore books without the first hope of finding a way to get someone out of hell, but continuing to do research helped you feel closer to Sam.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3 Months Ago
The sound of the Impala’s engine in the yard was unmistakable. What would bring Dean to South Dakota now? You hadn’t seen him since he’d moved in with Lisa and given up hunting; you’d barely even talked to him. You heard the front door open and footsteps moving closer to the kitchen where you were sitting with a cup of coffee and a book on Eastern European spell craft.
If you’d been paying closer attention, if you hadn’t lost your hunter’s edge, if you hadn’t been battling a depression so deep it left you struggling to care about anything since you lost Sam, you would have noticed it was two sets of footsteps getting closer to the kitchen.
Dean’s voice broke into your world of escape within the book where you didn’t have to think about the things going on around you. “Hey, Sweetheart. You have some more of that coffee?”
You looked up and had already started to nod toward the pot when you saw Sam standing there with his brother. Tears filled your eyes, and your heart began to race. What had Dean done to get him back? There were absolutely no words that could express what you were feeling. You stood slowly, mouth falling open, and went to him.
For a minute you just looked at him taking your time with each feature of his face. His eyes, at this moment, were light gray. The last time you’d seen him they’d been an amber kissed green. His dimples weren’t showing now, but you remembered how you’d loved to kiss them. You remembered how soft his lips were and how his kisses made you feel.
It was like looking at a vision, a ghost, a dream come to life. You tentatively let your fingertips brush his chest, afraid your fingers might pass right through him, and you’d find out he wasn’t there after all. You touched the soft cotton of his shirt and underneath you felt his chest, solid and real.
Sam glanced down at your hand on his chest and flashed you a smile complete with those dimples that could fill his face with sunshine, but the look in his eyes didn’t hold that kind of lightness. They were far more serious with the kind of look Sam usually reserved for the bedroom. He leaned down and whispered in your ear, “Why don’t we find somewhere to be alone tonight?”
That is how you found yourself at the Red Lily Motel with Sam and a bag of take out burgers. You weren’t much interested in the food past a quick thought about how Sam had rarely eaten burgers before. Your eyes were fixed on him, the way the veins in his forearms were so prominent and the broadness of his shoulders that would look even wider as he shed the layers of clothes he wore. Everything about him said strength.
You were drawn to him, needing to touch him, hold him. Sam’s gaze was riveted on you, and he had long since tossed the bag of burgers on the table. He advanced toward you, and you closed the remaining distance welcoming the warmth of his body and his hands at your waist. Your eyes locked on his, and you pushed the plaid from his shoulders, hands roaming over his chest covered now by only his t shirt.
Sam’s mouth covered yours, his lips and tongue claiming you again. While he kissed you, your hands ventured underneath the front of his shirt to touch his bare stomach. He moved his kisses to your neck. You could feel his smile as he talked against your neck. “Anxious, aren’t you?” He started to nibble. “I love it.”
You started to raise the hem of his t shirt, and he helped you take it off. You felt your breath catch in your throat. He was gorgeous, golden skin, every muscle in his shoulders and chest clearly defined. Then he lifted off your shirt and kissed you again while he guided you back toward the bed. When the back of your legs hit the mattress, you sat down and lay back, pulling Sam down on top of you.
His lips locked around one of your nipples through the lace of your bra. His tongue laved at it until the fabric covering it was wet. Your moans and gasps urged him on, and he tore at the cloth covering your breasts freeing them. Now that they were exposed, Sam lavished more attention on them. He sucked and licked one nipple while his fingers rolled and pulled the other until you were writhing under him, your body asking for more.
Sam stood up, kicked off his shoes, then stripped out of his jeans and underwear. He lowered his body back over yours. You never felt as small as when you were beneath Sam. When he started to bite down the column of your neck with pressure harder than a nibble but not quite hard enough to hurt, it sent shivers of anticipation across your shoulders and down your spine. Sam continued his trail of kisses and bites over your chest until he reached your nipple, took it between his teeth, and pulled.
You moaned loudly, and Sam kept going changing his bites to licks, flicking his tongue over your stomach, and making his way lower. You were nearly shaking with need for him. It had been so long, and Sam had always raved about how much he loved having the taste of you on his lips. You could practically feel his tongue sliding up through your folds until his mouth found your clit and closed around it.
Sam unfastened your jeans and pulled them quickly down your legs. You arched your back waiting for the feel of his kiss between your legs. Instead, you felt the blunt end of his cock pushing against your entrance. Your heart was ready; you wanted him.
Your body wasn’t as ready. You were wet for him, but you knew you weren’t wet enough. It had been a long time, and Sam was big. Before you could say anything, he pushed himself inside you. It burned as he stretched and filled you. Almost immediately, he started to thrust.
You dug your fingers into his shoulder and said his name. “Sam.” You winced and dug your fingers deeper into his skin. “Sam.” He didn’t seem to hear you, and you let it go. You were so happy and relieved to have him back and unable to imagine what he’d gone through in hell. If this was what he needed, you’d give it to him.
In spite of the pain, you came right after Sam did. The sounds he made when he orgasmed sent you right over the edge, the little grunts and the groans. And you knew what his face looked like even if you couldn’t see it. He’d squeeze his eyes closed. Then when he opened them, they would roll back slightly in his head. His tongue would slide out over his bottom lip before he bit it, and his chest would rise and fall faster with the increased pace of his breathing.
Sam collapsed on top of you briefly before he pulled out and rolled onto his back. You heard his arm hit the pillow over his head, and you turned toward him to snuggle into his side. Sam was a cuddler, especially after sex. This time, however, he sat up and was standing by the bed before you could process what was happening. You sat up too and reached for the sheet to cover yourself. “Sam, what are you doing?”
He brushed his hair back from his face. “I’m going to get a shower. I feel like going out. We passed a bar a couple miles back.” You watched his naked back disappear around the corner as he made his way to the bathroom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam was gone all night. You took your own shower, washing the smell of him from your skin, but you couldn’t wash the smell of him from the sheets. It was impossible to sleep, the loneliness and shock of what he’d done lay too heavily on you. You stared at the ceiling, tossed and turned, finally giving in and staring at Sam’s empty pillow. You reached out to touch it imagining how you thought this night would go.
You had dreamed of a reunion with Sam so many times when you thought you’d never see him again. You’d clutched a pillow then, hugging it tightly, when a pillow was all you had. The memory of Sam’s voice had filled your head, the sweet things he would whisper to you and the sexy things he told you he wanted to do.
All those days and nights without him, you had tried to remember his voice, tried to remember the feel of his arms around you, and the way you had always felt safe when he held you. Now, you felt empty. You were too shocked to even cry really. Tears leaked from your eyes, but the sobs stayed locked inside you. It was horrible to lose him, but to have him back and he was still lost to you?
The sound of Sam’s key in the lock caused you to wipe away the tears that were oozing from the corners of your eyes. You rolled over, clicked on the bedside lamp, looked at him and waited for some kind of explanation. He walked into the room without saying anything. Finally, you couldn’t take the silence anymore. “Sam, where have you been?”
Sam took off his jacket and tossed it on one of the chairs by the table. He came over to the bed, put his knee down on it, and leaned in for a kiss. “Did you miss me?”
You pushed against his chest. “Sam, what...? You can’t just come back in here and act like nothing happened!” He gave you his best seductive, flirty look. “Really, Sam?” That’s when you saw it. “Is that lipstick on your neck?”
Sam ribbed his fingers across the offending lip print then looked at them. He raised his eyebrows and shrugged his shoulder. “Huh.”
The words caught in your throat. When you finally found your voice, it was full of hurt anger. “Is that all you can say?”
Sam tried a sexy smile with you that wasn’t about to work. “The bartender liked me.”
Your stomach dropped. Your heart clutched tight. You weren’t even sure what you were feeling. The tears you’d tried to dismiss filled your eyes again. “Sam, you need to go.” He reached for you. You caught his hand and pushed it away. “Please. Just go. What happened to you, Sam? I don’t even know who you are anymore.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It wasn’t long before you found out the problem with Sam was he didn’t have a soul. You’d stayed up long nights with Dean trying to figure out how to get it back. Dean’s solution was drastic, but you both wanted Sam back desperately.
Tumblr media
Sam, the real one, was back now and sitting across the table smiling at you. You had the house to yourselves. Bobby and Dean were on a hunt giving you some time alone with Sam, time you needed to tell him about the baby.
When Sam finished his food, you bit your bottom lip nervously. Stalling, you asked, “Do you want anything else?”
Sam nodded, smiled just enough to let his dimples show, then looked at you with deep gray eyes. “I want you to come closer. I miss touching you, kissing you.” You missed that too, but memories of the last time you were with Sam still made your heart hurt like it had just happened.
The two of you hadn’t shared a bed or any kind of intimacy since Sam had gotten his soul back. Dean had helped you carefully and gently explain that over a year had passed. You told Sam that you needed some time, and he understood. However, that didn’t stop him from wanting to be close to you again. You wanted that too.
You stood and walked around the table. Sam turned to face you. He reached for your hand and held it. “I miss you, Y/N.”
“I miss you too, Sam.” You gave his hand a slight squeeze and sat down on his lap. His hair was almost impossible not to touch when you were this close. You gave into the urge and slid your fingers through it. Sam closed his eyes. For a few seconds you just combed your fingers through his hair and watched as a smile appeared on Sam’s face.
It wasn’t a moment you wanted to end, but the time was here that you had to tell Sam you were carrying his baby. You let your fingers slide from his hair, and when you spoke it was soft. “Sam, can we go into the living room?”
“Sure.” He put his hand on your waist as you stood up, and the smile never left his face. He had no idea what was coming.
Bobby’s red sofa was soft and well worn from years of use. You were sitting against the arm like a support to somehow hold you up and give you strength to get through these next few minutes. Sam wasn’t close enough for his body to touch yours, but you were glad he wasn’t all the way at the other end of the couch either.
You took a deep breath and looked at the man you still loved. “Sam, there’s something I need to tell you.” His eyes squinted slightly. He knew from your tone it was serious. “I...I’m pregnant.”
Sam tilted his head, processing what you had just said. Then a look of complete wonder filled his eyes. “We...when?”
You stared down at your hands folded in your lap. “As...as soon as I found out you were alive. That night. I’m about three months along.”
His smile then went straight to your heart, warming it, shattering it, and putting it back together just to stab it with more pain. “You...I can’t even tell.” He was beautiful, and it was all too much.
Memories of the night you’d made this baby with him came flooding back. You remembered the way it had felt, how the love and tenderness you’d expected wasn’t there. It was there now. Sam had the softest expression on his face you’d ever seen.
You could feel the panic bubbling up in your chest along with all the confusion. “Sam, kiss me. I need to know it’s you. I need you.”
The glow left his face. “Me?”
He moved across the couch until his thigh was against yours. He held the side of your face in his palm and touch your lips gently with his. The kiss deepened and just as you were about to let go completely and cross that line where the rest of the world disappeared, Sam broke the kiss and pulled away.
He rubbed his hand down his thigh. When he looked at you, his eyes were wide with realization. “Y/N, I’m sorry.” He hung his head and ran his hand through his hair. “You...wanted me to stop, and I didn’t. I...I for-“
You shook your head. “Sam, you didn’t. You didn’t force me to do anything. I wanted you to slow down, not stop. I never told you to stop. “
This time both of his hands went through his hair, and he hung his head even lower before he raised it with the shine of tears in his eyes. “I didn’t listen. I was rough with you.” You saw him swallow. “And then I left.”
There was a heavy silence for several seconds. Summoning all your courage, you asked him what you needed to know. “Sam, did you sleep with that bartender?” You tried to steady your breathing waiting for his answer. You closed your eyes.
Sam’s was strained and quiet. “No. Y/N, I didn’t.” Slowly, you opened your eyes. The expression on Sam’s face reflected the hurt you felt inside. “I didn’t do that.”
You could barely get the words out. “The lipstick?”
Sam looked straight into your eyes. “She was hanging all over me, kissing me, coming on to me, and I let her. But nothing happened beyond that.”
You gave a tiny nod. That made it a little better somehow, knowing he hadn’t left you alone in bed and gone directly to the bed of another woman on the night you conceived your child. You knew you could forgive him that because he hadn’t had a soul.
“Y/N, I need to know something too.” Sam’s voice was almost shaking now. “Did I hurt you?” You couldn’t lie to him, but your mouth couldn’t form the word “yes” either. You didn’t have to say anything; your silence said it. Sam scrubbed his hand down his face knowing the truth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next several days were filled with tears and revelations. More of Sam’s memory returned. He told you the things he’d done, clearly filled with shame about it and waiting for you to say you wanted nothing more to do with him. There had been women, a lot of them. He’d worked cases without feeling and hurt people in the process.
It was all hard to hear and even harder for him to say. The greatest pain was knowing that all that time your Sam was still in hell being tortured. That meant it wasn’t really Sam you’d been with when you got pregnant. The baby was his; it carried his DNA, but the Sam you loved had not been there when you conceived.
He already loved the baby. You caught him staring at your stomach with his eyes gone soft and a quiet little smile on his face. Sam had noticed that raspberries were your new favorite food thanks to the cravings, and he’d been to the store more than once to keep the kitchen stocked with them.
Everything he did now told you that your thoughtful and sensitive Sam was back, and you were ready to have him back in every way. He was pulling pints of raspberries out of a bag when you put your hand over his and said, “Let’s go to bed.”
Sam stopped what he was doing and scooped you up into his arms. Afternoon sunlight was streaming through the windows as he carried you up the stairs to the bedroom. He placed you gently down on the bed and traced a line down the side of your face before he kissed you.
He undressed you slowly, taking his time, and kissing every part of you he exposed. Then Sam took off his own clothes and carefully lowered himself over you. “Are you sure you want to do this?”
You rested your hand on his cheek. “Yes. Please. Give me you. I need you.”
Sam made you come twice before he entered you. The first time was with his fingers while he looked into your eyes and kept telling you he loved you. The second time was with his tongue. You were shaking and begging to have him inside you by the time he was done. You were dripping you were so ready for him.
When he entered you, Sam laced his fingers with yours. He held your hand the entire time he moved deep within you. He asked you again if you were okay, and when you hesitated with your answer because you were completely lost in him he started to pull out. “Sam, I’m fine. It’s okay.” You held onto him tighter with your arm that was free. “I love you, Sam.”
After, you lay in his arms. You nuzzled against his neck and buried your nose in the softness of his hair. “Can you forgive me, Y/N?” You moved your head laying it on his chest where you could hear Sam’s heartbeat. You lay there quietly for a few seconds before placing a kiss over his heart. Then you raised you head to look at him.
“It wasn’t you that did those things, Sam. But if you need to hear it, I forgive you.” You shifted position then took his hand and placed it over your stomach where the baby was growing inside you. “We’re going to have a baby.”
“I don’t deserve you, Y/N.”
You brought his hand that you’d placed over your abdomen to your lips and kissed it. “Sam, you sacrificed yourself for the world. No one deserves love more than you. I have you back now, and I’m going to give it to you.”
I’m so far removed from writing right now, but I really want to be in it again so here are some thoughts:
This scene feels like it should have a mirror. Charlie and Dean walking through renaissance fair talking about Emily and Myin and how Dean knows Emily is into Charlie, and Charlie teasing Dean about Myin even though Dean knows Myin only has eyes for Sam. “Though he doesn’t hate spending time with Dani and Penny watching scooby doo”
Flipping back and forth at the perfectly mirrored phrase we also see Emily and Myin. Myin is showing Wmily around some American culture and food while trying to find the right way to get advice from her friend without spilling the beans that Myin and Sam are pregnant.
June 2009
“Dean?  Where’s Sam?”  Myin asked as she opened the motel room door to see the beaten down hunter.  “Did you find him?  Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,”  Dean said, not moving from the doorway.  I found him, but I was too late.  Myin I failed.  I didn’t stop him.”
“The Devil?”  Myin whispered before pulling Dean in the motel room and hugging him tightly.  “I don’t think you were ever supposed to succeed.
“Fuck destiny!”  Dean shouted causing Myin to let go and take a step back.  “Sorry.  There is more,”  He said quieter.  “The horsemen of the apocalypse came with the devil from Hell.”
“Wait,”  Myin said looking around.  She seemed unphased by the news of the horsemen.  “Where’s Sam?  Is he…”
“He’s alive,”  Dean said realizing the Myin had started crying.  He pulled her against his chest and held her there.  “After killing Lilith I don’t think he thought the other hunters would let him live.  He left, he’s hiding.  Oh,”  Dean pulled a letter from his pocket.  “He gave me this for you,”
“So what now?  Are you going to hide too?”  Myin asked as she put the letter in a drawer by the bed.
“No, I’m going to keep hunting.  I can’t stop now that Lucifer is out in the world free to raise hell,”  Dean flopped unceremoniously onto the motel bed.  “Can I stay here with you?”  He asked quietly as the bed dipped and he rolled next to Myin.
“For as long as you want,”  She replied and kissed his hand before holding it tight to her breast.
Dean would come and go often for hunts, but Myin was flexible with her life.  She had always planned everything out in the past with Jay, and then with Sam.  But now, she wasn’t going to hurt herself by doing things the way she always had before.  She often wondered why Castiel freed her from her agreement with him, and if it had anything to do with her and Dean getting together, but regardless their relationship had been a byproduct of the situation.
Dean would stay with her at the motel when she was working at the hospital and he would come and stay with her and her kids when she was off from work.  They both new that the relationship had been rushed, but neither of them really cared, and both found it very comfortable.  Dean had a way with Dani and Penny that put her mother in law at ease, and their relationship seemed to flourish despite Sam’s non-arrival after his disappearance.
August 25, 2009
“Myin?”  Dean called from the motel room.
“I’m in the bathroom,”  She responded quietly.
“Listen, I know things have been going pretty well for us,”  Dean said sighing and leaning his head against the wall of the bathroom door.  “But I had a dream- Zachariah zapped me to the end of the world, well after the end really.  I have to go… Myin I can’t stay here.  I have to find Sam.  I have to stop him.  I can’t let the Devil win.”
“I understand,”  Myin said, without leaving the bathroom.
“I’ll come back when it’s over.  Please keep the girls safe?”  Dean said before walking out the motel door.
“I’ll keep everyone safe,”  Myin said staring at the two pink lines on the pregnancy test in her hands.  “Well, kiddo, I don’t know what we’re going to do right now, but we will get through this.”
November 2009
“Myin, have you heard from Dean or Sam?”  Castiel asked as his wings fluttered into her office at the hospital.
“Christ, Castiel, you scared me!”  Myin exclaimed from behind her computer.  “Dean or Sam, no I haven’t heard from them in months.  Why?  Are they okay?”
“They went to Ohio, but I haven’t heard from them in a few days and I was hoping they had called you or something.  You and Dean were close last time I saw you,”  the angel said looking at her with a knowing look.
“No, I haven’t talked with them, since Dean’s encounter with Zachariah.  He was supposed to call me when they were safe,”  Myin said looking at a picture of her daughters on her desk.
“Sorry to bother you,”  Castiel said before disappearing.  Myin looked around her office before sitting down to type a letter for her boss.
“I have to leave, you can send me on an extended sabatical or I can resign,”  Myin said as she handed her letter to her supervisor.  “I’m sorry to say that I won’t be able to give you two weeks notice, but everything is in order that this location can run itself for almost a month with very little maintenance from me, and you already knew I was going to be leaving in a few months.”
“I will accept your resignation under the stipulation that you will come back to work for me when you have your affairs in order,”  Her boss said.  “I’ve never had someone that fit in as well as you did.”
“Thank you, I hope to see you soon,”  Myin said exhaling.
It weeks for Myin to track the brothers.  She started in Ohio, after settling things with her mother in law and her daughters, and finally caught up with them in Massachusetts after Christmas.
“Sam?”  Myin asked as she caught him at a bar in a small town called Housatonic.  He was drinking a frozen fruit drink with a look of astonishment and playing with his hair in the mirror behind the bar.  “Sam?” She had to walk over to him and put a hand on his arm to get his attention.
“Oh hey, sorry.  I was uh… distracted,”  He said looking down at her awkwardly.
“Are you and Dean okay?  Castiel was trying to find you, and we were all worried,”  Myin asked trying to get him to look her in the eye.
“Oh yeah we’re fine, totally and completely fine.  No need to worry about anything,”  He said nonchalantly.
“Uh huh, so you and Dean worked things out then?  You’re okay with me and him.  He told you about the baby?”  Myin questioned, finally seeing his eyes.  She knew they weren’t Sam’s.
“Oh yeah, pfftt,”  He threw his hand out to brush off her statement physically.  “Why wouldn’t I be okay with it.  You guys were made for each other,”
“Right,”  Myin said.  “Where’s Sam?”
“What?”  The fake Sam said eyes going wide.  Myin’s phone rang, distracting her from her interrogation.
“I’ll be right back,”  She told fake Sam firmly.  “Don’t leave.”  She walked out of the bar to answer the phone call from Bobby.
“Would you like to do the sex with me?”  Gary asked the beautiful blonde sitting at the bar near him, and was able to convince her to leave with him.
“Shit, Bobby.  I just found Sam what’s up?  What do you mean I need to get out of here?”  Myin said looking around before realizing the uncomfortable feeling she’s had since she got to this town was the same one she would get when her father would cast magic.  “Alright old man, I’m out of here, don’t be so cranky.”
March 2010
~I don’t know what, something just isn’t right.  It was pouring rain as Myin sat in front of her computer messaging an international friend.
~remember how I told you that you worry too much?  Myin scoffed at way that Emily dismissed Myin’s danger.  She couldn’t blame the woman.  She live in a different world, and it wasn’t like Myin could tell her it was all true.  She rubbed her baby bump wondering for the millionth time if Dean was going to call her that night.  But as the hours crept on, she was starting to feel like it wasn’t likely.
~you know that feeling when someone is there but can’t be real?  Myin typed and sent before feeling power unlike she had ever felt.
“I’m taking pity on you mortal.  Normally, I wouldn’t care what happened to someone like you.  But your friend is very dedicated in her prayers,”  A stunning woman of Indian decent stood in Myin motel room.
“Who are you?”  Myin asked as she stood and dropped her laptop on the floor in favor of a pistol.
“Kali, now put that down before you make a mistake,”  The goddess gestured to her firearm.  “The Winchesters are going to face off against the Devil.  Their plan is foolhardy but it’s the only chance they have.”
“Why are you telling me this?”  Myin asked, holding her belly to soothe the squirming child.
“Let’s just say I owed someone a favor, and I didn’t want it to linger.  You need to protect yourself and your children.  Stop looking for the brothers.  And don’t trust any angels.”  She handed Myin a piece of paper with a weird symbol on it.  “Put this up in ever corner of your home and stay there.  Nothing will come inside that isn’t invited.”  Kali glanced at Myin’s computer.  “She’s wrong.  You don’t worry too much.  You should be thankful to have someone like her in your life.”
“Wait what about-”  Myin looked around as the goddess disappeared from her home.  Then flopped onto her couch and pulled the laptop back on to her lap.
~What the correct way to thank a goddess for saving your life?  Myin asked her Hindu specialist.  She needed to give Emily a hug, the woman couldn’t possible know how much she had just saved her neck.
May 2010
Myin stared at the message on her phone as Jody sat and cooed at the new born baby girl.
~We won, I lost.  I won’t be back.  Dean
Myin wasn’t sure how she was going to get back on her feet now that Sam was dead and Dean was gone.  Jody brought the baby over to her to nurse, and Myin cuddled her daughter knowing in her heart this was the safest thing for her child.  If no one knew that her father was a Winchester that was better.
“What are you gonna name her?”  Jody asked sitting down near her.
“Jenny,”  Myin said, keeping her obscure Disney name trend going to keep suspicions low.  “Jenny Connelly.”
A/N: Season 4 still good luck don’t murder me  Happy Bday Donna!  Merry Christmas everyone!
Warnings: smut, themes of cheating, canon gore, angst- oh so much angst
“You haven’t said thank you yet,”  Castiel said flatly, as he stood in Myin’s bedroom.
“What are you doing here?”  She asked sitting up in bed, startled by his presence.  She could see the face of the vessel that he was possessing but also the ethereal light that made up his essence as an angel.
“You called for me, ask me for a favor, witch.  You know why I am here.  Now I need you to start paying off your debt.  Starting with Sam Winchester’s infatuation with the demon.  What do you know about her?”  Castiel asked.
“I only just found out that she was a demon.  Sam and Dean knew her before Dean died, but she had a different host I guess.  That’s all I know about her.  That and the blood.  Sam is drinking her blood,”  Myin spewed the words faster than she had planned to.  Then looked around her motel.  It didn’t feel right to her, but she didn’t know why.  “Is this a dream?”
“Yes, very perceptive.  Why did you summon me?”  Castiel asked.  Myin realized this was an interrogation without the torture.
“Dean needed to be saved.  Sam and I were looking for a way to do it, but we only found the spell that I used.  Sam doesn’t know that I cast the spell.  Dean either.”  Myin admitted dropping her gaze.  “How is that I can see you?”
“You gave me your sight as part of your payment. ‘So that I may see what is happening,’ if I recall,”  Castiel said.  He was all business.  Had he been human, Myin would have assumed he would have made a joke about the situation.
“So you saved Dean? And now I can see you.  An Angel?”  Myin shook her head, she should have stayed out of this entire thing.
“Yes,”  Castiel said.  “You’ve always believed haven’t you?”
“I’ve always suspected there was something, but I didn’t know what it was,”  Myin rubbed her face trying to wake herself to be more aware.
“Don’t do that,”  Castiel said warningly.
“Do what?”  Myin said realizing that her skin was tingling and she had a headache starting.
“Try to wake up.  I’m keeping you here, you are no match for me,”  Castiel said matter-of-factly.
“What do you want me to do?”  Myin asked rubbing her skin trying to stop it from itching.
“Whatever Dean needs you to do.  He needs you to be strong, or he won’t survive Sam’s problem,”  Castiel’s voice echoed in Myin’s mind as she sat up in her bed drenched in sweat.
“Mommy, I have to go potty,”  Dani whispered as she stood in Myin’s room.  “It’s okay Mommy, the nice man will keep you safe.”
“The nice man?”  Myin asked looking at her oldest daughter with concern and confusion.
“The angel,”  Dani said with a small smile.
May 2009
“Dean?”  Myin asked in a concerned whisper as Dean pulled her through the hospital she worked at and into her office.  “What are you doing here?”
“I need your help, and I didn’t want anyone to see us,”  He said before turning the blinds closed.
“What is going on?”  Myin asked hearing Castiel’s words to help Dean in her ear.
“I had to lock Sam up,”  Dean said, squaring his shoulders as he faced away from Myin.
“You did WHAT?”  Myin’s voice jumped two octaves as thoughts of the hunter being in prison flooded her mind.  “Oh God, he’s probably receiving psychiatric treatments as we speak,” She started to ramble.
“What?”  Dean asked shoulders slumping as he turned to face her and grabbed her by the shoulders.  “No, I locked him in Bobby’s panic room.”
“Oh.  Why did you do that?”  Myin asked looking down at Dean’s hands on her shoulders.
“He was so far out of his mind.  He was drinking that demon’s blood.  He wouldn’t stop.  He thought he could… well don’t worry about that.  I’ve got him detoxing, but it’s not going well.  I’m just not sure that I can listen to him suffer anymore.”  Dean said looking at the floor and finally releasing his grip on Myin’s shoulders.
Myin wrapped her arms around his shoulders, pulling him down to her height as she hugged him.  Dean’s body seemed to almost go limp in her embrace and she could tell he was crying against her chest.
“Life is not fair Dean Winchester,”  Myin said soothingly as she petted his hair.  “It’s harsh and continues to throw us at everything we dislike.”
“I’m sorry that I came here, and bothered you at work,”  Dean said pulling away from her and standing up straight.  He wiped the wetness from his eyes and started to walk to the door.  Castiel’s voice brushed over Myin again, like a command.
“Wait,”  she said reaching a hand out.  “What did you need my help with?”
“So wait you guys have been trying to stop Lucifer from rising?”  Myin sighed at the grandness of the information that had be presented.
“Yeah, listen… something is really bothering me.  I haven’t told Sam.”  He looked at Myin across her motel bed.  “It’s my fault that this is happening.  The first seal that breaks to start all this, is a ‘good man getting out of hell’.”
Myin dropped her eye to the floor as she realized everything was really her fault.  She looked up at Dean, wanting to tell him.
“Please, don’t try and comfort me, I already know the truth.  The angels told me everything about how the seals work,”  Dean silenced her with a hand as he spoke.
“Dean, I did a spell,”  Myin said as she pushed his hand down onto the bed.  “Sam was desperate.  He had found a spell, I was in a bad place when I found him with Ruby.  I didn’t think all the consequences out.  But I summoned Castiel.  I begged him to save you,”  Myin had tears falling down her cheeks as she spoke.
“You saved me?”  Dean asked as his hand covered where Myin’s had grabbed him.  “It’s not your fault.  We have control of our destinies.  Fuck fate,”  Dean growled as he leaned over some open books and kissed her gently.
“Dean,”  Myin whispered against his lips, remembering the last time he had come to her motel and kissed her.
“I want you, but only if you want me,”  Dean said firmly, holding her hand close to his chest.  The pain of everything she had gone through with Sam bubbled close to her heart.
“I do want you,”  She said finally before pressing the next kiss on his lips.
“Condom?”  Dean asked as he pushed books onto the floor and Myin pulled her shirt over her head.
“Pill,”  She responded, knowing she wanted to feel him.
“You’re fucking beautiful,”  Dean said as Myin exposed her breasts from her bra.  He laid over her, covering her body with kissed and gently teasing nips.  When Myin thought she would explode from the anticipation, Dean pulled her into his lap and set a pace to have them cumming all over each other.  “Shit,”  Dean said as he laid next to her in bliss.
“It’s been a little while for me, sorry if I was rusty,”  Myin teased.
“You were fine,”  Dean said, slapping her ass playfully, before grabbing his ringing phone.  “What’s up Bobby?”  He ask as seriously as he could.
“What do you mean he’s gone?”  Dean asked sitting up on the bed, the afterglow shattering almost visibly.  He hung up the phone and got dressed.
“Sam escaped.  I have to go find him.  Stay out of trouble while I’m gone.  We’ll figure this out when I get back,” Dean said as he kissed her and left the motel.
“I free you from your oath to help me.”  Castiel said as he fluttered in the room.  Myin jumped and squealed as she realized she was still naked but the angel paid her no mind as he came over and place his fingers on her forehead. She hit the ground, and woke up several hours later.
“Bobby what the hell is going on?”  Myin left another voicemail on the old man’s phone.  Every fiber of her being was telling her that something was wrong, but she couldn’t figure out what it was.
September 2010
“Bobby?”  Myin called as she opened the door to his home very slowly.  He had been working hard to try and break his contract with the demon Crowley to no avail.  “Bobby are you here?  I brought you something to eat?”  She could smell something burning and a scream of agony from the basement.
“Oh hey, Myin,”  Bobby said coming back upstairs and closing the door behind him.  “Hi there little Jenny,”  He cooed at the little girl.  “What’s going on?”
“I brought you some food, I didn’t think you’d have bothered to eat correctly,”  Myin teased him, as she offered a covered bowl.
“You spoil me,”  Bobby grinned slightly.  “Why are you really here?”  He said as they walked into the kitchen and Bobby got a spoon.
“Alright, not that we need a reason to visit Uncle Bobby,”  Myin smiled bouncing Jenny on her hip.  “But, I thought I saw something snooping around my house.”
“You still got that sigil up from Kali?”  Bobby asked.  Myin nodded.  “I’ll come check it out for you guys tomorrow okay?  Dani and Penny with their grandma?”
A knock on the door got Bobby and Myin’s attention before she had a chance to respond.
“Are you expecting someone?”  Myin whispered and bobby shook his head.  They walked over to the door and Bobby answered it. Jody and a federal agent were standing there.  Jody looked pissed, then saw Myin and exhaled some maintaining her poker face.
“Bobby, this is Special Agent Adams of the FBI.  He has some questions for you,”  Jody huffed in an exhausted fashion.
“Listen, Singer.  We aren’t finished with my problem.  I expect and update from you about the issue,”  Myin took on a grumpy customer look and started to storm out of the house past the FBI agent.  “Oh!” She turned on her heel for extra emphasis.  “And don’t screw it up this time.”
Myin left the house as quickly as she could hoping that her performance had helped Bobby in any way and that the FBI agent wouldn’t come to her hoping to ask questions.  She just had to hope that Bobby would figure out what was stalking her house.
October 2010
Dean had heard enough with his many recent conversations.  Between the woman telling him about her boob job, then Bobby’s overshare.  He was still reeling with the revelation from Lisa.  Sam’s answers were the only befuddling part, but they did set him at ease slightly.  Now he just needed to know how to break this curse.  He hit speed dial 9 something he hadn’t done in a long time.
“Dean?”  Myin’s voice was quiet and unsure as she answered his call.  “Why are you calling me?  I thought you had moved on?”
“I uh- look I was an asshole,”  He sighed deeply.
“You’re damn right you are.  You call me out of the blue without ever coming back and checking on us.  I didn’t know how I was going to handle everything.  Do you know how hard things were for me after you left?!”  Myin had unwittingly slipped into the role of the truth sayer that his curse was forcing him to live through.  Dean fought back his hurt.
“Myin, stop.  I’ve been cursed,”  Dean said trying to give her some dignity.
“What?  Are you going to die?!  I just got a hold of you and your going to die?!  I can’t go through that.  Not again.  Not after Sam.  The girls need me, I just don’t think I would make it.  Please don’t say you are going to die.  Please just lie to me instead,”  She huffed at the end.  “What the hell?  I didn’t want to say all of that?”
“Yeah, I’m cursed to hear the truth from people that are talking to me.  Trust me, it’s kinda annoying,”  Dean chuckled at the hurt that he felt for Myin.  “People keep springing important information on me that I wish I had known earlier.”  The phone clicked.  “Myin?”  He looked at the screen of his phone seeing that the call had ended.
“What’s going on?”  Sam asked meeting up with him by the Impala.
“Just trying to figure out how to break this dumb curse,”  Dean responded putting his phone away for the time being.
The brothers had been caught by the goddess Veritas, and forced to play a game of what she called ‘truth or truth’.
“You're covered in blood until you're covered in your own blood. Half the time, you're about to die. Like right now. I told myself I wanted out… that I wanted a family.”  Dean said sighing.
“But you were lying,”  The Goddess said to him with a smirk.
“No. But what I'm good at… is slicing throats. I ain't a father. I'm a killer. And there's no changing that. I know that now,”  Dean said regretfully.  As if on cue Dean’s phone started to ring.
“Who’s Myin?”  Veritas asked coyly.  “Oh well, I guess you won’t get to find out what she has to say.  Cause you will be dead.”
“Ever since I came back, I am a-a better hunter than I've ever been! Nothing scares me anymore! 'Cause I can't feel it. I don't know what's wrong with me. I think… I need help,”  Sam said after they had killed the goddess.  But Dean had had enough of his lies.  He turned and punched his brother, but all the hurt and rage that he had kept bottled up for the last year fueled him and Dean just kept hitting Sam.
He finally got off of his brother, then remembered that Myin had called.  He hauled Sam into the Impala then started the drive to the Campbell’s compound.  He pulled out his phone to listen to the message the woman left him, knowing that she would have still felt compelled to tell the truth.
“Dean, there is a lot I need to tell you, but I can feel the magic and I don’t want to tell you everything because you are cursed.  I guess the two most important things I need to tell you is that I have a baby and that I’m not sure we can ever go back to being together.  It felt wrong to betray Sam even after Ruby, but I won’t deny that I think I was in love with you.  Oh who am I kidding.  I’m still in love with you… Shit!  This dumb curse is strong.  Anyway, we should talk about… everything.  But after this curse it gone,”  That was the end of the message.  Dean felt his heart shattering.  He was confused and hurt, but he also knew he was right to stay out of her lift when Sam had died.  He didn’t want to drag her down with him.
December 2010
“Myin, what are you doing here?”  Bobby asked when he answered the door.  He looked over his shoulder into his house in a paranoid fashion then stepped out to talk with her on the front porch.
“You asked me to bring you some things?”  Myin asked looking at him suspiciously.  Bobby sighed knowing that he had made himself look guilty.
“Balls.  Look, I’m sorry.  I know I asked for stuff yesterday, I forgot.  It’s been busy,”  Bobby said fiddling with his hat.
“Hard hunt?”  Myin asked looking around before her eyes settled on a car that answered all of her questions.  “Dean is here?”
“Yeah… I should have warned you.”  Bobby said twirling the short strands of Jenny’s hair.  “She really looks like him.  You guys should go before he comes to find me.”
“Who comes to find… Myin?”  Dean asked as he walked around the side of the house from working on his car.  Dean saw Jenny, and looked down at his feet.  “Sorry, I guess that was me.  I’ll give you some space.”
“Wait…”  Myin said before biting her tongue.  Dean turned to look at her.  “You never called me back.”
“Yeah I’ve been-”
“Busy,”  Myin said at the same time as Dean, her shoulders slumping a little.  “I have a lot to tell you, Dean.  We should talk some time.”
“I’m gonna go inside,”  Bobby said giving Dean a very harsh look, that the Winchester didn’t think was warranted.
“I have stuff to say as well,”  Dean said.  “I think I should tell you my thing first so you understand that I haven’t been avoiding you.”  Myin nodded to let him speak first.  “Sam is alive.  Actually, he was never really gone.  I didn’t know that until a couple weeks ago.  But He’s not okay.  He didn’t have a soul.”
“Sam’s alive?”  Myin’s eyes watered with tears and the hurt was written all over her face.  She cleared her throat.  “I can see why that would make you very busy.”
“I’ve been working to get his soul back, and I’m hoping he will be okay,”  Dean said, sadly.
“This is my daughter, Jenny,”  Myin said bouncing the young child on her hip.  Dean looked at the little girl, she was older than Dean expected her to be, and absolutely gorgeous.  He hair was fine and still short, but a sandy blond, and her grey eyes had flecks of green and brown, much like Dani’s.
“She looks like the other girls,”  Dean said smiling a bit.
“They get a lot of features from me, but I think Jenny looks like her dad,”  Myin swallowed hard at the end of her sentence.
“Oh,”  Dean said almost bitterly.  He knew he couldn’t be with Myin, but he was certain that he had almost loved her at one point.
“Dean, meet your daughter,”  Myin said letting his hold the young girl.  “She was born the day you told me Sam had died.”
Square Filled: Love at first scent Ship:  Sam x Myin Rating : general A/N: this is for my very good friend who inspires me constantly and makes me want to be the person she thinks I am Warnings: no warnings Summary: Sam is worried about Myin when she won’t answer his calls. Word Count: 377 Created for @spnabobingo
“Myin, are you okay?  You’re not answering your phone!”  Sam was shouting as he rushed into the bunker.  His bag dropped onto the stairs and rushed to his mate.
“Sam?”  Myin stood cautiously from her place in Dean’s man cave and poked her head out around the corner.  “My phone must have died, I didn’t notice.”
“Didn’t notice- What could possible have had you so enrapture- Oh hello,”  Sam was staring at the Indian woman who had been sitting in the man cave with Myin.
“Sorry, it I know you don’t like it when I smell like Dean, but it’s the only place in the bunker where your scent isn’t over powering, and Emily isn’t used to it,”  Myin smiled fondly at her friend.
“Excuse us for a minute, Emily,”  Sam said putting a protective arm around Myin’s shoulder and walked out the room with her.
“What is she doing here?”  Sam asked quietly.  “I thought you didn’t like being around anyone else.
“What can I say,” Myin shrugged rubbing her full baby bump lovingly.  “Ever since I met her, her scent puts me at ease. And with you gone so much, this little girl here has been pitching a fit.  So many things turn me off with the way that they smell.  With Emily its different.  She reminds me of being home.”
“Seriously, love at first scent?”  Sam rolled his eyes pulling his omega in and kissing the top of her head.  “You don’t believe in that stuff do you?”
“You do,”  Myin whispered knowingly.  “Beside, maybe its not the first time I’ve known Emily.  Maybe we are just made to be friends and we will find each other no matter what’s going on in the world or where we are.”
“Well that’s very sweet.  I’m gonna get your phone charger and plug it in so you have your phone,”  Sam chuckled before walking away.
“Is she okay!  Do I need my gun?!”  Dean shouted slamming the door to the bunker shut behind him.
“Are they always this dramatic?”  Emily asked snuggling against Myin side as the two omegas rested against each other.
“You have no idea, manni hui bahan,” Myin chuckled.
“You’re not gonna get it right are you?” Emily mumbles.
“Probably not,” Myin giggled.
Warnings: non-graphic smut, themes of cheating, canon gore
September 2008
Dean watched as the Demon chained to the chair choked on the black smoke that it was made of.  He hadn’t heard much from outside, but he had heard enough.
“Slutting around with that demon bitch.  What were you doing all those months?”
Dean couldn’t stand there anymore.  He burst into the warehouse.
“Dean,”  Sam said genuinely shocked.  “I can-”
“If you say you can explain…”  Dean said heavily.  “Why don’t you start with who she is?”
“It’s good to see you again, Dean.”  Ruby faked a smile at the older Winchester.
“Ruby?  Is that Ruby?”  Dean asked looking at Sam.  He hurled himself at her, pinning her against a grate and pulled the demon knife intent on stabbing her.  Sam intervened, telling Ruby to leave.
“Dean?”  Dean!”  Sam called after his brother as Dean walked out of the warehouse and got in the Impala.  He had no idea where he was driving to but he needed to get somewhere.
The motel he arrived at was not the one that he and Sam were staying at.  It also wasn’t the bar that he had planned on going to.  He saw Myin’s Camry parked there and realized he had gone to her.  Maybe she would understand.  She had refused to stay around Sam since Dean had returned from hell.
“Dean?”  Myin asked surprised when he knocked on the door.  “Are you okay, what are you doing here?”  She let him into the room, locking the door behind him.  The sat next to him on the bed.  She caressed her thumb and knuckles down his cheek in a well-practiced motion of care.  Dean turned to face her and leaned his forehead against hers.  Myin had always been generous with her physical contact, a fact about her that made her seem warmer and inviting.
She lifted his chin with her index finger so that his eyes met hers and his nose bumped against hers.  Dean’s attention was brought to her lips as she licked them, concern etched on her face.  He went for it.
He pressed his lips against hers.  The pain he carried from hell, the anger at Sam for his betrayal, the expectations of Castiel and the angels and God all crashing down on him and out in a cathartic release as he kissed the short brunette.  His hands slid around her waist, her body was so warm and comforting, and he didn’t want to let go.  Much to his surprise, she kissed him back after a moment of surprise.
He pulled her body close as her hands curled into his short hair.  He kissed her again, and again, letting his hands feel her not wanting to break contact.
“Dean,”  She gasped against his lips.  He kissed her again, getting his hands under her legs to pull her onto his lap.  “Dean!”  her cry was muffled against his mouth.  He flipped her onto her back his erection hard as he was nestled in the cradle of her legs.
“Dean, stop.”  Her words finally cut through his haze and he pulled himself away from Myin as if he had been burned.
“Myin, I’m sorry, shit I’m sorry.”  He babbled his apology even as he looked at her, lips kiss chapped and hair fanned on the bed below her.
“It’s okay,”  She said as she sat up and licked her lips.  “What happened?”
“I, uh, followed Sam and saw him with someone that made me really unhappy,”  Dean chuckled as he explained without trying to sell Sam out in a bad light even after everything.
“So you met Ruby I take it?”  Myin mumbled as she bit her lip.
“Yeah, how did you know?”  Dean was taken by surprise at how quickly she had come upon the name.
“When you died Sam came to live with me and the girls.  It was good for a while.  We were happy I thought.  But I guess I wasn’t enough.  He wanted me to cast a spell to save you.”  Myin stood from the bed and crossed her arms.  “I told him the cost was going to be too high, magic always comes with a cost.”
“He left because you wouldn’t cast a spell to save me?”  Dean asked looking at her bewildered.
“I guess Ruby is a better witch than me.  At least in bed.”  Myin looked down at the floor bitterly.
“He’s sleeping with her?!”  Dean nearly shouted as all the anger flooded his system again.
“What did you think they were doing together?”  Myin asked looking at him as if he had two heads.
“She’s a demon,”  Dean said as if it were obvious.  “Didn’t you know?”
“No?!  Why would I know that?”  Myin threw her hands out in exasperation.
“You could see the angel, I figured it was all of them.”
“I have no idea why that happened,”  Myin said looking away.  She was a good liar, in Dean’s opinion, but it takes one to know one, he thought ruefully.
“So he wanted you to cast the spell and you wouldn’t so he left you for ruby?”  Dean clarified.
“Yeah after about a month of them doing whatever it is they do together.” She rolled her eyes as if saying the next thing couldn’t make anything worse.  “It’s funny cause I found out right before I was going to tell him I would cast the spell anyway.”  Myin shook her head again, but when she turned to look for Dean she realized he had walked out the door.
“No, that’s okay, Dean.  I can hold a conversation by myself for the both of us.  It’s not like I sent up a red flag to the Angels or anything.”  She muttered as she closed the door to her motel and went about fixing the blankets on her mattress before calling her kids.
June 2008
“This one requires a witch,”  Myin said hesitantly.  “You don’t have a witch.”
“Well,”  Sam gestured to her.  “Maybe your dad let something that could be helpful, and you just don’t know it?”
“I don’t know, Sam.  Magic always has a price.  Even if you don’t know what it is.  It’s not safe.”
“We have to try,”  Sam said desperately.
“I’ll look.  But no promises.”  She brushed his hair out of his face, then kissed his lips.
“Hey, Sam?”  Myin called as she unlocked the front door to her house.  The Dani and Penny were away with Myin’s mother in law, and Myin was hoping for a long weekend with Sam.  It would be nice to have some time together that wasn’t quickies once the girls had gone to bed.  Not that she minded the quickies, but she liked the sore feeling that she got after having Sam inside her for longer than twenty minutes.  “I was thinking about cooking tonight, I got chicken and pork, any pref-”
Myin cut off mid-question as she dropped her groceries and nearly threw up in her mouth.  Sam was in the living room with a skinny brunette, licking blood from her wrist.  They were both partially naked and Sam was fucking her senseless.  The glass of a jar shattering was enough to get their attention, and Sam nearly dropped the girl as they moved to cover themselves.  Myin turned her back to the two of them shock and disgust evident on her face.
“I’m gonna leave now,”  The brunette muttered as she scrambled to get past Myin.  Myin grabbed her shoulder and punched her in the face.
“Ow,”  The slut groaned but broke free of Myin’s grip and rushed out.
“Myin, I’m sorry I can explain.  Ruby… Ruby and I were trying to find a way to save Dean…”  Sam was starting to trail off as he realized how bad the entire situation looked.
“I think you should leave,”  Myin said numbly.  “I’m going to go out, please get your things and leave.”  Myin grabbed her keys and walked back out the front door.
She found herself in a church parking lot, a place she hadn’t been since before Jay died.  She walked in, soaking wet from the rain and had a seat in one of the pews.
“Can I help you?”  The priest walked over to her and placed a hand on her forehead.  “You look like you are in so much pain.”
“Father, I- I feel like God has deserted me,” she sniffed pathetically as the tears continued to stream down her cheeks.
“God always looks after us, even when we think He has left us, that is really Him helping us the most.”
“I have a favor to ask Him, but after everything, I’m not sure I am very high in His books.  I don’t think He likes me very much.”  Myin giggled a little manically at her awful joke.
“He has time for favors from those of us that are farthest from Him.”  The Priest said.  “If you need help asking Him for a favor let me know.  We’re on good terms.”  Myin smile for real this time, but the priest walked away to give her space.
“If You’re listening, I need help.  Someone very special has been misplaced.  He is a good man, and he is in hell,”  Myin whispered her prayer as she stood and walked to the baptismal font.  “I offer you my sight, in hopes that you will see how important he is.”
She reached her right hand into the water then let the droplets hit her eyes like eye drops from her fingers.  Her tears intensified for a moment before stopping and her vision cleared.
“I will help you,”  A voice carried on the wind caressed her ear.  “I hear your call.  Dean Winchester will be saved.”
May 2008
“Sam?”  Myin asked as Sam stood at the doorway to her new home.  “What are you doing here?  I didn’t think I’d see you again.”
“Who is it, Mommy?”  Dani called from the living room where she was playing with Penny.
“I need a place to stay.  I’m sorry it’s been so long.”  Sam said.  Life had taken a hard toll on the tall man, and Myin reached out to caress his cheek.  “Please.”
“Of course.”  Myin stepped back to let him in, pulling her hand away.
“Sam!!!” Dani shrieked as she came running to the front door.
“Hey, Dani!”  Sam responded lifting her and giving her a slight twirl in the air.
“I don’t like that!  Please put me down.”  Dani squealed in delight despite her words.
“Okay.”  He gave her a quick squeeze then set her down.
“Penny, come see Sam!”  Dani giggled.  The other little girl came walking unsteadily down the hallway and stared wide-eyed at the big man.
“Hi,”  She murmured.
“Wow, she’s gotten so big,”  Sam said bending down to pick her up, but being left with his arms outstretched as she ran off.
“Penny doesn’t like anyone to pick her up,”  Dani said laughing at the look on Sam’s face.
“Come on in Sam.  Girls get your stuffed animals for a nap.”  Myin called to her daughters.
“Aw, but Sam just got here.”  Dani protested in what sounded like a regular occurrence.
“And if your good and take a nap, he might still be here when you wake up.”  Myin sighed taking the girls to their beds for sleep.
“I like the new place,”  Sam said when Myin came out of the girls’ room.  “How long have you been here?”
“I put the old place up a week after you and Dean left.  I didn’t want to be there anymore.”  Myin put on a brave face as she faced her memories.  “This place is smaller but that just makes it easier to clean.”
Sam nodded looking around the place as Myin sat next to him.
“What’s going on, Sam?  You don’t call or text for a year and suddenly your find my new address and show up here needing a place to stay?”  Myin looked at him seriously.
“Dean died last week.”  Sam’s shoulders stooped as he said the thing that he had been dreading for a while now.
“Oh, Sam.”  Myin scooted across the couch to wrap an arm around him.  “Your line of work is dangerous, I’m not gonna ask how.”
“No, it wasn’t like that.  He sold his soul.  He’s in hell, and I have to save him.  He died to save me.”  The words tumbled out of his mouth for the first time in their entirety.
“If you have to save him, why are you here?  Are you in danger?”  Myin asked cautiously.
“Actually, I was hoping that you would be able to help.  I’ve been doing research, and I’m willing to do anything.  You were always good at preparing for a test.”  Sam shrugged.
“Of course,”  Myin said again, giving him a light kiss on the cheek.
It was weeks before either Sam or Myin came up with the first thing to try.  They had found a comfortable place, despite the grief of their situation.  In Myin’s two-bedroom home, they shared a bed out of basic necessity, and Penny and Dani were accepting of the situation in the way only children can be.
“This one requires a witch,”  Myin said hesitantly.  “You don’t have a witch.”
“Well,”  Sam gestured to her.  “Maybe your dad let something that could be helpful, and you just don’t know it?”
“I don’t know, Sam.  Magic always has a price.  Even if you don’t know what it is.  It’s not safe.”
“We have to try,”  Sam said desperately.
“I’ll look.  But no promises.”  She brushed his hair out of his face, then kissed his lips.
“Bobby?”  Myin gaped as she walked away from the nurses' station in the ICU.
“Myin what are you doing here?”  The old hunter ended his call and put his phone away.
“I work here, what about you?  Do you know someone here?”  She asked looking around at the various rooms.
“Yeah my friend is here, bad accident burned her eyes.”  He muttered looking around rather paranoid.
“Come on, you can come tell me about it in my office.”  She said, then led the way to the accounts receivable department where her office was.  “Is Sam with you?”  Myin asked.
“No, I thought he was staying with you?”  Bobby asked as Myin closed the door and motioned for a seat for him to sit in.
“Not for a while,”  She said looking away for a moment.  “Is there anything I can do to help your friend?”
“No she’s a pretty normal person, just leave my name out of it,”  Bobby shooed her question away.  “Where are your girls?”
“With grandma.  They all moved nearby after everything that happened.  She understands how hard everything has been between Jay and Sam.  Dani and Penny spend a lot of time with her, while I work.”  Myin sighed at the end recomposing herself.
“You know, now that I think about it,”  Bobby looked at her with a furrowed brow.  “Your daddy was a witch of sorts wasn’t he?”  Myin looked at him eyes wide.
“I don’t do that anymore, Bobby.  Not after last time.”  She crossed her arms in front of her.
“I don’t need you to cast anything.  Maybe you can come by the Astoria Motel.  We could use some out of the box thinking,”  bobby finished rubbing his beard.
“We?”  she asked noticing the word, much to Bobby’s displeasure.
“Me and Sam, he is at the motel, I know things are hard between you too, but we are really out of our depths.  We held a Séance and some monster burned my friend's eyes out of her head.”  He whispered.
“Fine, I’ll be there when I get off work.”
Tumblr media
Myin stood outside the room adjusting her hair nervously.  She hadn’t seen the Impala or Bobby’s beater in the parking lot, bit knocked on the door regardless.
“Myin?”  Green eyes stared at her from beyond a cracked open door.  The chain was still attached and she could see the gun the man was holding inside the room.  She held her hands up.
“Dean?  Bobby asked me to come by,”  She whispered, unsure.  He closed the door and she heard the chain rattle before it reopened and he let her in.  “You’re alive?”  She muttered raising her hand to press it against his chest half expecting it to pass through him.
“Yeah, what are you doing here, I thought you were in Florida.”  He placed his hand over hers and pulled it from his chest.
“Needed a change of scenery.”  She was just starring at him as if she was in shock.
“I half expected you to be with Sam when we found him earlier,”  Dean chuckled as he let go of her hand finally.  “How are-”  He cut off raising his gun up at the door again as a high pitched ringing sounded and static played on the TV.  They covered their ears trying to block out the noise to no avail.  The mirror on the ceiling cracked as Dean dropped his shotgun and they both fell to their knees.
“What is that?!”  Myin shouted trying to be louder than the whine.
“Cover your head!”  Dean shouted as the windows blew out and glass sprayed them from the side.  He grabbed and arm around her middle and pulled her towards the door.  He fell mostly on top of her as the cracked glass on the ceiling fell where the had been standing a moment before.
The door to the motel busted open and Bobby was there calling for Dean as more glass threatened to fall.
“Why the hell didn’t you tell him?”  Bobby asked when they were all in Bobby’s beater and Dean has lied to Sam on the phone.
“He’d try and stop us.”
“From what?  Bobby asked
“From summoning it,”  Dean responded.  Myin stared wide-eyed at Dean.  This was not what she had signed up for.  “It’s time we face it head-on.”
“No, wait.  I just got clear of all the shit in Florida.  You will not put me of my kids in danger again.  Pull over and let me out I’ll walk.”  Myin said throwing her hands out in front of her.
“You were there with me when it attacked, you’re already a target.  You and your family are safest if we deal with this thing.”  Dean said firmly.
“I hate this plan,”  Myin muttered.
“It’s high noon baby.”  Dean grinned.  Bobby and Myin rolled their eyes.  “We got the knife, you got an arsenal in the back, and we have a witch.”
“This is a bad idea,”  Bobby agreed with Myin.  “We could use Sam for this.”
“He’s better off where he is.”  Dean murmured.
“Maybe you did the spell wrong,”  Dean offered after the group had sat in the warehouse quietly for what felt like forever.
The structure started to shake as thunder rumbled and crashed outside.
“What did you say this thing was again?”  Myin asked raising her rifle.
“I didn’t,”  Dean muttered as the doors to the building were flung open.
A man in a trench coat walked towards them, and Dean and Bobby began firing rounds at him.  Myin gasped as she saw him, entranced by something about him, and dropped her gun.  The chambered round went off on impact and ricochet off the metal walls.
“Myin, watch where shooting!”  Dean shouted before he saw the look of aw on her face.  “Son of a bitch!”  Dean shouted.  The man stood in front of Dean and Dean stabbed him with the demon blade.
The angel removed the blade then touched Bobby’s forehead and the older man dropped to the ground.
“Bobby!”  Dean dropped to the ground to check on the old man, as the blue-eyed stranger looked at Myin.
“You’re friend is fine.”  He said.  A tear fell down Myin’s cheek as she stared at him.
“Who are you?”  Dean asked.
“Castiel,”  The stranger responded and scooped Myin up to sit here by the workbench.  “We have work to do.”
A Life Unlived
“Are you alright?”  Myin asked Sam as she sat behind him on the bed.
“Yeah.”  Sam sighed.  Myin let her fingers play with the edge of his hair.
“What do you want to tell Dean.”  Myin chewed on her lower lip as she studied Sam’s expression.  He was so stoic sometimes and she found him hard to read when he was trying to communicate telepathically.  His eyes slid closed in exhaustion and thought.
“We will have to tell him.”  He turned to face her taking her hand in his as she leaned into the knuckles that he brushed across her cheek.  “But I want to have this moment with you before we say anything.”
Myin let her eye flutter shut Sam pressed his lips against her timidly.  Sam pulled away as he felt her smile spread across her face.
“What?”  He asked embarrassed as she smirked at him like he was an idiot.
“Sam you don’t have to be afraid to kiss me.”  Myin chuckled.
“I just, I was worried about how you felt since the whole fuck or die session last month.”  Sam’s head hung slightly as he smiled.
“Look at me,”  Myin said commandingly.  He did. “I’m not upset about what happened.  I love you.  I’ve loved you for a while now.  And if I’m honest with myself, I wanted to have sex with you.”  Myin continued to hold his hand.
“Yeah, but you didn’t want to get knocked up,”  Sam muttered interrupting her.  She gritted her teeth and pursed her lips.
“I’m not some teenager, Sam.”  She used her other hand to guide his face to look right at her.  “I already have two children, this doesn’t scare me,”  Myin said forcefully.
“It scares me!”  Sam shouted and let out a shaky breath.  Myin’s eyes went wide.  Sam rarely shouted and it was only when he was scared of something out of his control.
Myin bit her lip then stood at the edge of the bed in front of him.
“What are you doing?”  He asked uneasily.  Myin pulled her shirt off, standing in her denim shorts and bra, and grabbed Sam’s hand bringing it to her belly.
“I love you, Sam.  And I’m going to have…”  Myin’s broke off her declaration as Dean walked into the motel room.
“Dude don’t you knock?!”  Sam shouted at his brother, pulling Myin against him.
“Sorry,”  Dean answered spinning and covering his face.
The New Me
Warnings: Actually this one gets a little Fluffy.  But the Angst is subtle at the end.  Also Sam x Myin, Extended Universe (A Life Unlived)
“Hey,”  Sam said as he came into the little apartment.
“Hey yourself,”  Myin whispered with a grin to light fireworks.  She looked tired, and a little worse for wear despite her enthusiasm.  “Come sit down.”
Sam closed the door and came to the couch where she was sitting holding the swaddled baby.  Sam noted a pang of jealousy, seeing her fawn over the little girl.
“Where’s Jay?”  He asked looking around.
“He’s renting a truck.  Wanna hold her?”  Myin asked offering the tiny babe.
“Sure!”  He said excitedly and carefully cradled the baby close to his chest.  “Hey there little Dani.”  He cooed at the sleeping baby.  “I’m Sam.”
“God, you’re a natural.”  Myin sighed as she stood up uneasily.  “You’re gonna make some girl happy one day.  She stopped at the breakfast nook.  “Or she’s really gonna hate you.”  She grinned again at something she thought was funny, as she sizes Sam up.  Sam laughed easily and enjoying his time with his friend.  It wasn’t ever going to be more than that for them, no matter what he hoped, but he could pretend every now and again.  Especially with her baby in his arms.
“Hey Sam, can I ask you a question?”  Myin never had trouble stating what was on her mind, and this newfound uncertainty put Sam on edge.
“Yeah sure.”  He said watching as she put down the baby bottle and placed her hands on her very curvy hips.
“Do I look different?”  She said, flashing her hips to the sides as if to give him a different angle to look at.
“Yeah, not pregnant.”  He joked, but when he saw the sadness in her eyes, he stopped laughing.
“Myin, what’s wrong?”  He switched Dani to the other arm and patted the couch so Myin would sit close to him.
“Nothing, it’s stupid.  I know I shouldn’t expect to feel normal right away.”  She babble when she was nervous. . “Spit it out, shorty.”  He teased.
“I don’t think Jay likes the way I look anymore.”  She blurted out, then slapped a hand over her mouth as if she had issued the worst curse on the planet.
“What?”  He asked baffled.  “Myin, there are some things I am certain of.  One; you aren’t going to sleep for like a month cause of this baby.  Two, you’re gonna go have some ice cream after I leave but feel guilty for not offering me any.  And three, Jay loves you more than almost anyone else in the world.  Sure you’re not the same as you were before, but that’s what’s great about kids.  They give you a chance to become a new person.”  He said giving her cheek a tender caress.
“Thanks, Sam.  All the hormones are killing me.”  A tear slipped down her cheek.
“So why is Jay getting a truck?”  Sam asked handing Dani back.
“Oh, he got offered a job, were are moving.”  She looked at him as if she just realized something awful.  “We are moving to Florida.”
A Life Unlived: The Life I Want Pt 4
Tumblr media
Masterlist / Previous
Word Count: 2,975
A/N: Little bit of a canon divergence, just fyi
Warnings: Canon gore, Trigger Warnings: Miscarriage (semi-graphic)
Sam shot awake in a cold sweat, gasping.  He had been having the dreams for almost a week now, and he was having trouble coping with everything involved in them.  He didn’t want to believe they were real, but after Jess and the others, he knew that was foolish.
He shook his head trying to clear it, wondering if he would be able to go back to sleep this time when he noticed that Dean wasn’t in his bed.  He took a look around the dark motel room before turning on the light.  Dean wasn’t in the room.  He looked out the window and saw Dean leaning against Baby’s trunk with a phone to his ear.
It was still dark outside, although dew had started to condensate on the car.  Sam looked over at the clock on the nightstand, which read 4:30 a.m., and wondered who would be calling Dean at that time of night.  Sam picked up his phone and started scrolling through his messages, suddenly aware that he was not getting back to sleep tonight.
~please pick up the phone.  I need to talk to you   It’s important.    I need to know what happened
The messages from Myin were pilling in, but Sam was scared to answer her.  He should, he knew, but what if his visions were true.  What if she told him she was pregnant.  He didn’t know how he would be able to cope with what he saw in his vision.
“Oh, hey Sammy.  Didn’t mean to wake you.”  Dean said as he came back into the motel room looking guilty.
“You didn’t.  Who was that?”  Sam asked suspiciously.
“Pretty girl with an emergency in her pants.  Gotta go, Sammy.”  Dean gave him a shit-eating grin before grabbing his bag and leaving the room again.
Sam sighed heavily before tossing his phone back onto the nightstand and getting into the shower.  He went straight to the books ignoring his cellphone as he looked for anything relating to the mafia witches that were chasing Myin.
He was about to give up in favor of lunch when he saw what he was looking for.  It was a magic backtracking spell.  He could use anything affected by a spell to track back on the coven.  It was a coven he realized with dawning concern, there was no other way that they had been able to kill Myin’s whole family without being linked together.  He was just standing up when Dean walked back into the motel room.  He looked worn down, and he had changed shirts from when he left this morning.
“You’re back early.”  Sam quipped, irritable from not having eaten the whole day.
“Well someone is snarky,”  Dean muttered as he put his things down and flopped onto his bed.  “I was taking care of some….”
“Listen, Dean, I don’t wanna hear about your exploits.”  Sam interrupted not wanting to think about sex still after his encounter with Myin.
“Well, maybe you’d learn a thing or two about women if you listened,”  Dean said crossing his arms sternly.
“You talked to her, didn’t you?”  Sam asked.  “Unbelievable.”
“Well she needed help, and you weren’t answering your phone,”  Dean said pointedly, crossing his arms.  Sam’s expression softened to a pout.
“Fine.  Did she say what was wrong?  So I’m prepared.”  Sam asked as he grabbed together his bag.
“Yeah, she had some questions about what happened to you guys the last time she saw you.  Where are you going?”  Dean said terror etched Sam’s face.  His vision was coming true.  God, he wanted to ask Dean so badly if she was okay.  But he still wasn’t comfortable telling Dean about the visions.  Especially this one.  What would he do if it was true?
“Hello, Sammy?  Where are you going?”  Dean asked waving his hands to get Sam’s attention.
“Oh, uh, I think I have a lead on the witches,”  Sam answered as he finished packing his books.
Tumblr media
“Listen, Sammy, I know you think you’re helping Myin by fighting the good fight for her, but let me tell you.  She really needs to talk to you.”  Dean argued as Sam was gathering his things to follow his hunch.
“No, you don’t understand,”  Sam turned on his brother, finger outstretched.  “I’m doing this to keep her safe!”  Sam reigned his anger in.  If his plan worked his brother would never find Myin in a puddle of blood, and Sam wouldn’t have to carry the hate for himself around for that.
“You mean protect her?”  Dean asked cocking his head and squinting at his brother as if he could read his mind if he stared hard enough.  Everyone underestimated Dean, but Sam knew better.  His brother was smart and had caught the nuance of the phrasing Sam had said.
“Of course,”  Sam pulled his hand back in and turned back to the door.  “I’m going to go.  Will you go check on Myin for me?”  Sam asked the words quietly.  “I need her to be okay.”
“Sure,”  Dean responded suspiciously, but placing a hand on Sam’s shoulder non-the-less.  Dean grabbed his bag again and headed back out the Impala.  Sam sighed heavily.  If his plan worked, he was going to have to work things out with Myin after this.  She was going to be mad at him for leaving her alone when she needed him.  On top of that, he was going to be a dad.
The realization hit him that he might actually have a baby.  With Myin.  Something he had wanted from the day he realized that he cared for her.  She was the only woman other than Jess that he had truly felt this deeply for.  That he loved.  He closed his eyes and remembered how beautiful Myin had been when she had been pregnant with Dani.  How exhausted and messy-haired she had been when she clasped her hand over her mouth for speaking her insecurities to him.  How little Dani had been when he held her for the first time, and how Myin trusted him completely to hold her daughter.
He wondered if Myin would want another girl after Dani and Penny, or if she’d want to have a boy.  She had always thought Dani was going to be a boy, talked constantly about how she thought the ultrasound tech was wrong.  Sam could care less, as long as they were healthy and he could keep them safe.  He wondered how Myin was going to cope with having a baby with someone other than Jay.  She had been true to him, and he could tell from the way she talked about him that she loved him completely.
He had been an idiot to come down here.  To think that he would be able to save her.  He wasn’t sure Dean was right about being a good thing for her.  Maybe if he hadn’t come for her, she wouldn’t have been in more danger.
He straightened and wiped at his eyes, then headed out the door.  He wasn’t sure how he was going to fix things with Myin, but he was pretty certain that whatever had happened to Ava, was connected to Myin’s mafia witches.  He left the motel in pursuit of that link.
Tumblr media
“Dean?”  Myin asked as she opened the door.  “What are you doing here?”
“Uh, it’s kinda ridiculous, but Sam wanted me to come check on you.”  Dean shrugged and rubbed the back of his neck.
“He can’t be bothered to come check on me himself?”  She responded despondently, before letting Dean into the house.
“You know he’s not like that,”  Dean said as he walked into the living room.
“I know.  It just hurts.  I don’t understand why he wouldn’t want to know about this.  I guess that the sex curse was really a sex curse.”  She muttered.  Dean looked around uncomfortably.  “You want something to drink?”  She asked turning to point at the kitchen.
“Sure.”  Dean agreed.  “So how are you doing?”
“I… Ah!  I’ve been better.”  Said stuttered before screaming as a bottle shattered on the floor.
“Myin?!”  Dean dashed around the corner into the kitchen.  She was standing in front of the refrigerator hands open.  The glass had fallen to the ground and shattered.  Her pants were soaking with blood, as she cried.
“Dean,”  She sobbed.  Dean reached out and grabbed her hand tightly avoiding glass to lift her.  “I want Sam.”  She cried.
“I’ve got you.  I’ll call him in the car, come on.”  He carried her out of the house, grabbing a blanket for her on the way out, then let her sit on it in the car and drove her to the hospital as she faded in and out of consciousness.
“Sam, you need to get to the hospital on Hibiscus,”  Dean spoke to the voicemail. Then he threw his phone into the backseat with his stuff.  He pulled into the ER drop off loop and pulled Myin out carrying her inside.
“I didn’t study,”  Myin babbled as the florescent flashed above as Dean rushed in.
“Someone help me.”  He called as he moved up to the suddenly rushing ER staff.
“What happened?”  One of the nurses asked as Dean laid Myin on the gurney.
“She’s pregnant.  She just started bleeding.”  He said, realizing that her blood was all over him.
“Ok, Dad?”  Dean knew if he didn’t say yes, they wouldn’t let him in with her, and he couldn’t leave her alone.  He nodded as he wiped his hands absently on his jeans.  “Follow us, she’s gonna be okay.”
Dean was thankful that Myin didn’t need surgery.  He wasn’t sure if he would be able to hold out for her, but a doctor was called in to do a quick procedure that Dean held her hand for.  Then she needed a transfusion, Dean didn’t know her blood type, but the nurse found a pair of dog tags in her pocket that listed Dean as a match, so he volunteered.
He called Sam several more times over during the time, but never got an answer or a callback.
“Hey,”  Myin mumbled as she turned her head to see Dean still hooked up giving her blood.  “What are you doing?”  She asked pointing at the needle in his arm.
“Saving your life again, kiddo.”  Dean smiled a little as he brushed her hair out of her face.  “How are you feeling.”
“Tired, what happened?”  Her voice trailed off as she looked away and placing a hand on her belly.  “Where’s Sam?”  her eyes were misty as she spoke but she didn’t cry.
“He’s not answering.  I called Bobby, he’s kinda like an uncle.  He’s gonna help me find him.”  Dean spoke.
A doctor came in a while later, removing the needle from Dean’s arm, and giving them both some juice.  He told Myin they wanted her to stay for observation, but that there wasn’t much else they could do but wait for nature to run its course.  She nodded numbly, agreeing to things without question, and Dean’s heart hurt for the woman.
“I’ll be back.  Do you need anything?”  Dean asked shrugging his jacket on, out of habit.
“No.”  She whispered.  They hadn’t talked much in the hours since the doctor had come in.  “Find Sam, make sure he’s okay.”  She looked up at him desperately.
“I will, no matter what,”  Dean said.
Tumblr media
Dean had made his decision.  He grabbed the small metal box and took Baby to the crossroads.
“I wanna make a deal.”  He said to the dark hair demoness that appeared.  “Sam comes back to life, your freaks and the witches leave Myin and her family alone.  I get ten years and then you get my soul.”
“Now those are some big demands.”  The demoness toyed with him.  “I’ll give them to you, but…”
“But what?”  Dean waited for the hook.
“But you only get one year.  And,”  she held up her hand.  “No getting out of it.  You try and break the rules and Sammy dies.  Myin and her girls become fair game again.”
“Deal.”  Dean didn’t hesitate as he kissed the demoness.
Dean rushed back to the cabin that he had left Sam at.  He was alive and breathing in no time, and Dean sighed in relief.
“Dean?”  Sam asked hugging his brother tightly.  “I figured it out.  I know how the witches knew where Myin was, and why they were after her.”
“I know, you told me before you got hurt.  The witches were in league with Yellow Eyes.”  Dean grabbed his brother’s shoulders making sure he was real.  “Don’t worry we don’t have to worry about those bastards anymore.  You can get the girl now.”  He smiled sadly, then brought Sam by to see Bobby.
“We are hitting the road.  We’re gonna go back and see Myin.”  Dean conspired with Bobby.
“Are you sure that Sam?”  Bobby asked.  And Dean nodded.
“What did you do boy?”  Bobby asked Dean knowingly.
“I made a deal,”  Dean said, not bothering to lie to the old man.  “I promised Myin I’d bring him back.  I promised Dad I’d keep him safe.  This is what I was supposed to do.”
Bobby simply placed his hand on Dean’s cheek.  “How long’d they give you?”
“A year,”  Dean responded.
The brothers got in the Impala and drove to Myin’s home in Florida.
“Hey, man.  I’m gonna go check into the motel.  Call if you need me.”  Dean said as Baby idled.
“No, she doesn’t need me.  Nothing good has happened to her since we got to town.”  Sam said, hesitant to get out of the car now that they were there.
“That’s not true or because of you.”  Dean looked incredulous.  “She wasn’t in such a good place before we got here.  And we managed to make sure that her little girls still have a mother.”
“She lost her baby because of me.”  Sam hung his head.  “I should have been there for her.
“Hey, look at me.  It’s not your fault.  That shit happens.  And you lost that baby too.  You guys are just starting out, but it’s something real.  Now, get over yourself, and go talk to her.  It’s important.”  Dean all but shoved Sam out of the car then drove off.
“Hey,”  Myin said standing inside the door.  Sam could hear Dani playing in her room.  I heard the Impala, so I got the girls taken care of so we can talk.”  She smiled sadly.
“Hey, yourself,”  Sam responded.
“I was beginning to think you didn’t want to see me,”  Myin said as she let him in.
“Of course I wanted to see you.  I just…”  Sam broke off, unable to tell her how sorry he was for what happened.  “I wanted to protect you, keep you safe,”  Sam said as he plopped down onto Myin’s couch.
“Are you alright?”  Myin asked Sam as she sat beside him on the couch.
“Yeah.”  Sam sighed.  Myin let her fingers play with the edge of his hair.  “It’s just been a long couple of days.  How are you feeling?”  He turned to face her letting his hand caress her upper arm.
“It’s been hard if I’m honest, it’s nice having the girls home, though.  And they make me feel better.”  Her eyes were red-rimmed, Sam noticed as she sniffed and held back tears.
Sam pulled her close and rested his head on her chest for a moment, before pulling her down for a kiss.  It was the first kiss they had shared since they’d had sex, and he blushed as he remembered the encounter with her.
Myin smiled warmly against his lips.
“What?”  He asked embarrassed as she smirked at him like he was an idiot.
“Sam you don’t have to be afraid to kiss me.”  Myin chuckled.
“I just, I was worried about how you felt since the whole fuck or die session last month.”  Sam’s head hung slightly as he smiled.
“I’ve loved you for a while now.  And if I’m honest with myself, I wanted to have sex with you.”  Myin continued to hold his shoulders.  “You leave a pretty good impression.”  She grinned, and Sam was taken aback.  She knew but wasn’t mad at him.  “Let me tell you something, Sam.  What you got packing there, it should come with a ‘go slowly’ warning.  And if I remember correctly, according to Dean, you were pretty upset.”  Her expression softened to one of nurturing.
“I want you to stay with us,”  Sam said somberly.
“I can’t do that Sam,”  Myin said, glancing down the hall.  “I can’t drag the girls with me all over the world just to follow you.  That’s not fair to them.  I do love you, Sam.  I want you to be with me.  Maybe when you finished your journey and it’s safe, you can come live with us.”
“What about Dean?”  Sam asked tilting his head as he relished the way she’d said she loved him.
“He did save my life, we literally share the same blood now.”  She counted in her head as if doing math.  “Maybe it would be alright if he lived here too.”
“Family don’t end in blood.”  Sam joked thinking about what Bobby had said. Which brought him to a disturbing thought, something he needed to talk to Dean about desperately.
“Where did you hear that?”  Myin laughed.  The giggle she let out called Dani from her toys.
“Sammy!”  She cried as she came toddling down the hall and throwing herself at the pair of them.  Sam hugged the little girl back and felt his heart hurt for the baby that he wasn’t going to be having with Myin.  He perked up again, thinking of the way the woman he was holding had told him she loved him.  Maybe it was just not yet.
A/N:  This is a very Angsty chapter.  and there are trigger warnings.  I have put them in the tags as they are spoilers.  Please look if you are triggered.
“You have got to stop dodging her calls, man,”  Dean said as he poured over books that they had looked through three different times.  It had been weeks since the curse was put on Sam and Myin, and Sam had been avoiding all contact since then.  He couldn’t stand to think about her, about what he had done.  How was he supposed to talk to her?  He didn’t even know if she knew what had happened.
“Yea, like I’m gonna start taking relationship advice from you now.”  Sam quipped at his brother.  It was the only way that Sam was able to keep Dean off his back.  But the way that Dean kept glancing at him, was a sure sign that Sam was failing at hiding what had happened.  After all, Dean had come in on them while they were both naked, the evidence of the time spent all over Myin.
“Whatever, man.  I gotta go find some new books.  These aren’t doing anything.”  Dean stood and grabbed his jacket and keys before heading to the motel door.  “You need anything?”
“Nah,”  Sam responded, not looking up.  “Other than a pair as big as yours,”  Sam muttered after Dean had left.  Dean was right, and Sam knew it.  He needed to talk to Myin.  Not only had he been worried about her, but what if she was scared or hurt by the way he was acting.  It wasn’t like it was her fault.
As if on cue, his phone rang again, and Myin’s name flashed on the screen.   He clicked it off. “How ya doing, kiddo?”  Dean asked as Myin let him into her house.
“Alright, I guess.”  She answered as she walked into the kitchen.  “Want something to drink? I’ve got soda and beer.”
“Yeah, sure.”  Dean accepted the drink and sat on her slightly overstuffed couch.
“How’s Sam?”  Myin asked quietly as she handed him the drink.
“He’s beating himself up pretty hard,”  Dean answered quietly, as he watched her face for any give-away of what had happened that day.
“He’s not returning my calls.  I just…”  Myin sighed heavily.
“Myin, let’s stop beating around the bush here,”  Dean said.  He put his drink down and handed her the box that he had bought at the pharmacy for her.  “Go find out if there is even a reason to stress.”  He shrugged.
“Yeah,”  Myin whispered as she shrugged her shoulders.  She took the box down the hall and closed a door for a minute.
“Will you sit with me?”  She asked sitting on the floor at the end of the hallway outside of the bathroom.  “I’ve always hated waiting by myself.”
Dean came over and sat down next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.  Tears were staining her cheeks and she rubbed her nose with the back of her hand.
“It’s gonna be okay, you know?  Sammy, he…”  Dean seemed to contemplate finishing his sentence.  “He really loves you.  Like hard-core old fashion love.”
“How do you know it’s going to be okay?”  Myin sniffled.  “I’m not even sure I know what happened!  I’ve sent my children to go live with family out in the middle of nowhere.  I had to sneak out of town just to get to Dani’s birthday!  I’m a horrible mother.  I let a coven of witches kill my husband!  They killed everyone I loved other than my children, and the only reason they didn’t do that was cause they couldn’t!”
Dean pulled his arm away from Myin as she stood and started to pace in the little hallway.  He stood up watching her warily from a defensible location.
“It’s not your fault.”  He said softly.
“Are you sure about that?  Cause it pretty much feels like it’s my fault.”  The timer on her phone beeped and she stalked into the bathroom, Dean followed when she left the door open.  “It’s positive.”  She tipped her head back as fresh tears streamed down her face.
“You’re sure?”  Dean asked putting a hand on her shoulder to look at the little white stick.  It had two little pink lines.
“Yeah, I’m sure.  I’ve done this before.”  She chucked the positive test strip against the sink counter, before leaning over it to sob.  Dean turned to lean against the vanity next to her and pulled her over to hug her supportively.
“Dude, you need to go to Myin,”  Dean said as he walked back into the motel a few hours later.
“What?”  Sam asked his head snapping up the book that he was looking at.  I’m pretty sure that I’m getting close on this.  I’ve set up a program that…”  Sam started but Dean cut him off.
“You need to go see her.  She needs you, man.”  Dean crossed his arms without sitting down.
“No, she doesn’t need me.  Nothing good has happened to her since we got to town.”  Sam said.
“That’s not true or because of you.”  Dean looked incredulous.  “She wasn’t in such a good place before we got here.  And we managed to make sure that her little girls still have a mother.  Get over yourself, and go talk to her.  It’s important.”
“You talked to her, didn’t you?”  Sam asked.  “Unbelievable.”
“Well she needed help, and you weren’t answering your phone,”  Dean said pointedly.  Sam’s expression softened to a pout.
“Fine.  Did she say what it was about?  So I’m prepared.”  Sam asked he grabbed together his bag.
“Yeah, she has some questions about what happened to you guys the last time she saw you,”  Dean said, terror etched Sam’s face, but he nodded and headed to her house.
“Hey.”  Sam smiled sadly when he saw Myin.
“I was beginning to think you didn’t want to see me,”  Myin said as she let him in.
“Of course I wanted to see you.  I just…”  Sam broke off, unable to tell her how sorry he was for what happened.
“It’s alright, I think I remember,”  Myin said as Sam dropped to her couch.  “You leave a pretty good impression.”  She grinned, and Sam was taken aback.  She knew but wasn’t mad at him.  “Let me tell you something, Sam.  What you got packing there, it should come with a go slowly warning.”
“Wait, you’re not mad at me?  But I took advantage of you.”  Sam said looking at her.
“It wasn’t your fault if I remember correctly.  And according to Dean, you were pretty upset.”  Her expression softened to one of nurturing.
“There’s something else.  There’s always something else.”  Sam said turning to look away from her.
“You’re right.”  She took a deep centering breath.  “I’m pregnant.”
“What?”  Sam choked when she spoke.
“Are you alright?”  Myin asked Sam as she sat beside him on the couch.
“Yeah.”  Sam sighed.  Myin let her fingers play with the edge of his hair.
“What do you want to tell Dean about what happened.  Myin chewed on her lower lip as she studied Sam’s expression.  He was so stoic sometimes and she found him hard to read when he was trying to communicate telepathically.  His eyes slid closed in exhaustion and thought.
“We will have to tell him the truth.”  He turned to face her taking her hand in his as she leaned into the knuckles that he brushed across her cheek.  “But I want to have this moment with you before we say anything.”
Myin let her eye flutter shut Sam pressed his lips against her timidly.  Sam pulled away as he felt her smile spread across her face.
“What?”  He asked embarrassed as she smirked at him like he was an idiot.
“Sam you don’t have to be afraid to kiss me.”  Myin chuckled.
“I just, I was worried about how you felt since the whole fuck or die session last month.”  Sam’s head hung slightly as he smiled.
“Look at me,”  Myin said commandingly.  He did. “I’m not upset about what happened.  I love you.  I’ve loved you for a while now.  And if I’m honest with myself, I wanted to have sex with you.”  Myin continued to hold his hand.
“Yeah, but you didn’t want to get knocked up,”  Sam muttered interrupting her.  She gritted her teeth and pursed her lips.
“I’m not some teenager, Sam.”  She used her other hand to guide his face to look right at her.  “I already have two children, this doesn’t scare me,”  Myin said forcefully.
“Well, it scares me!”  Sam shouted and let out a shaky breath.  Myin’s eyes went wide.  Sam rarely shouted and it was only when he was scared of something out of his control.  Myin bit her lip then stood at the edge of the bed in front of him.
“What are you doing?”  He asked uneasily.  Myin pulled her shirt off, standing in her denim shorts and bra, and grabbed Sam’s hand bringing it to her belly.
“I love you, Sam.  And I’m going to have your baby.”  She smiled prettily.
Sam pulled her face to his, it was easy with their difference in height, and he kissed her.  They went and laid in Myin large bed, and Sam held her close, content to be in her company.
Dean had a bag of fast-food in his hand as he approached the door to Myin’s house.  Sam had been busy in the county records office checking up on a lead and had wanted to make sure that Myin was still doing okay.  She hadn’t responded to his messages yet that morning.  Dean was just happy that they had found a good place since their little curse fiasco.
“Myin?”  Dean asked as he let himself into her house.  He had stood there and waiting for her to answer but as the first couple of minutes passed with no response, Dean became anxious.  He put the food down on the little stand she had by the door.
“Myin are you alright?”  He pulled his gun, she was not usually this quiet, and he felt uneasy as he smelt a familiar coppery scent.
“Myin?  Shit!”  He gasped as he pushed the door open into her room.  She was pale as she laid on her bed, blood soaking her yellow sheets.  He holstered his pistol and rushed over to grab her.  Her cheeks were rosy and she had a mild fever, but she was alive.  She groaned as he pulled her off the bed and into his arms, rushing her to the Impala.
“Sam, drop what your doing, meet me at the hospital on hibiscus.  Myin’s alive, but she’s gonna need you.
