The Sides Being Angry

i feel like patton would try to control himself and be as composed as possible but then someone makes some comment that was a *bit too far* and suddenly pattons like "Fuck this, fuck that, fuck you" and SWINGS

Logan would be the type to go completely cold and stoic but really there is fire in his veins and he wants to burn the world down. Take of his glasses calmly, clean them, put them back on his face. then he says some shit like "You'll regret this later" and just FLIPS THE FUCKER OVER HIS SHOULDER LIKE FUCKING KARATE KID

Roman would be the type to cry when he gets really angry. He yells and he screams until his throat hurts. He would be fueled by every bruise and cut he collects. His busted lip and knuckles makes him feel alive. At the end hes sore because he put 110% into the fight. is the definition of "You think i look bad?You should see the other guy"

Janus would be snide and condescending. Says things that cut deep. Motherfucker profiled you as soon as he meets you. He knows how to make you as fucked as possible. He would be fast and slippery He would be able to fight people twice his size because of his sheer AUDACITY. Sometimes he loses the physical fight but he feels accomplished because he knows he got into someones head and under their skin and their going to be thinking about everything he said days later

Remus would be the type to start fights for the hell of it. He's the type to tell them to punch harder. Hes like roman in the way that the pain makes him feel alive and pushes him to push harder. Thing is though while roman is crying, remus is *laughing* its the most disturbing thing. Because remus would be getting face beat in and hed be cackling. He has a mean right hook and he will get up again and again and you will lose unless you're ready to match his stamina

Virgil doesnt really like physical violence i dont think. But he will fight and he fights dirty. Virgil will bite and pull hair and he will rip out your fucking earrings. Alls fair in love and war and he doesnt love many people. War however is something he knows personally. Hes easy to tick off and he definately has trouble talking about *why* hes upset and so he does things before he thinks. he'll be mid fight and hes kinda wondering why hes fighting in the first place because he fucking forgot but now hes going at it and he'll be damned if he doesnt finish this fight. He isnt weak and he'll make sure people are aware

Random SanderSides thought I had

Roman appears to be in charge of Thomas's romantic feelings, but romantic and sexual feelings are separate (example: me, I can feel romantic attraction despite being asexual).

This leads me to believe that sexual feelings are under Remus's domain, which is why he's so lewd (besides intrusive thoughts commonly being sexual) and his obsession with the devil's tango.

I'd also like to imagine asexual Roman and Aromantic Remus

I might just be dumb but I thought this was kinda neat

So, I was rewatching Perfect Gift again for like the 100th time and I just make a realization.

It's about the newspaper that Logan was given. He was so quick to assume it was just a cheap newspaper and nothing else to it. That's pretty depressing when you think that he's not seeing things in a deeper perspective anymore. It's as if he doesn't see a point to do so anymore.

It was sorta like how in the 5 year Anniversary vid, when Thomas asked "What do you think is next for us?" And Logan gave up and said "You tell me". He doesn't see the point in putting his two cent in anymore and starting to think that the others don't see him more than just a boring, worthless, out of date person that's just a stereotypical nerd.

However, when he starts actually looking deeper into the newspaper, he sees something different, something unexpected. A well thought out puzzle for him specifically. Showing that the others, Virgil specifically, knows Logan is more than boring. He like reading, yes. He likes puzzles, yes. Making it a game full of mystery and fun? You wouldn't think Logan would be into that but he is. It proves there is more to Logan. A happier side to him that he's repressed for means of being taken seriously.

The newspaper is a representation of Logan. On the outside, he's inconspicuous. He's normal. He's put together. You wouldn't think much of him or give him a second thought or glance. But, once you look deeper and actually start reading into him, you see a whole new, different person. Someone happier. Someone interesting. Someone hurt. Someone frustrated. Someone... that's more than meets the eye.

i know a lot of people think patton would be the best babysitter out of all the sides 🙄

but consider: ROMAN.

this big, loud, larger-than-life man is just a walking living disney character. and kids LOVE that. roman will sing them songs, teach them how to dance, act like everything is a big game and a big deal, all to make them laugh and smile.

the biggest difference between patton and roman with taking care of kids is that roman would absolutely treat them like an equal, in the sense that he would treat the kid like a capable, cool person who’s worthy of respect and has the capability of being an expert! if a kid shows him their cartwheel, roman begs them to teach him how they did it, instead of just a “wow, great!”. if a kid sings him a song, roman calls a broadway producer right in front of the kid and pitches them, much to the kid’s giggling delight.

i already can hear the comments. “but roman’s so irresponsible! he’s so childish, he would be a horrible caretaker!” do you know how much discipline it takes to be an actor? roman absolutely will put the kid to bed at 8:30 and be in bed at 8:30 too because he has rehearsal tomorrow and needs his beauty rest. he will 100% feed the kid a ton of broccoli and eat the broccoli too because he needs lots of nutrients for his dance performance next week. roman leads by example, and he has a very structured life because of his career!!

Personal headcanons/design things:

Keeps food in his pockets and then forgets it’s there. The way I know the amount of crumbs are insane.

Always loses one sock in each pair. ALWAYS.

Has THE most insane takes. Leads to a lot of fun Patton and Logan discussions actually (*Hits them with the Trolley problem*: DISCUSS)

Patton would take the Utilitarian approach I think…Would think you should always sacrifice the one person in the trolley problem instead of the five because it minimizes the most suffering).

To that point, I really do think all the sides would enjoy watching The Good Place. Probably also The Magic School Bus.

All film media in Patton’s room is on VHS. Even if it came out recently. He made them that way.

I know we’ve literally seen his room in canon but in my heart it looks like Howl’s Room in Howl’s Moving Castle (insane levels of eclectic).

Has set the kitchen on fire 237856 times. It will happen again.

Has hand-made bracelets (themed each of them around one of the other sides).

Also has a hand-made doll collection…Roman’s doll is kind of like a traditional princely doll, Logan is probably a cube craft doll, Virgil’s is Coraline style (later redoes it with Remus’ help to add Virgil’s extra legs and mandibles (they’re articulated. He’s very proud)). Remus is a finger puppet and Janus is a sock puppet (those last two might change later)…

To that point: he still has a spider phobia, but he’s working on it (mostly for Virgil. A lot of it is him being like “could you please describe “x” to me, or draw me a picture before you revert so I know what to expect? :).” It’s going well.

One time they tried theorizing what kind of spider Virgil was. Patton immediately threw in Jumping Spider (he’s not) but Logan was happy to hear Patton had done some kind of research into something.

He’s Roman’s test audience/proofreader. He may be a Yes Man, but he’s good at spotting when character motives are unclear in a story/just generally to bounce ideas around with. They have days where they parallel play. Patton does his arts and crafts and Roman does his writing. At the end of it, they swap and critique.

I need more analogical in the headspace. I don't want AUs, I want my two Little Autistic Guys shoved together in the brainspace because Virgil is having a Bad Time and none of the more 'emotional' sides are available (they were helping Thomas or something), so Logan helps. Or Virgil just SPECIFICALLY wants to be around Logan.

I need more of them being specifically described in the brainspace and looking different from Thomas. I need more of them being mildly upset that they don't look like themselves when they're helping Thomas.

I need more of the darksides and lightsides being basically two weird semi-funtional poly relationships.
