This whole Elriel and Gwynriel debate has turned into a very messy, toxic, and violent capture-the-flag event with every single word SJM has ever written, and it's both very upsetting and exhausting. The complete lack of respect for other people in the fandom just because they believe different theories or ship a different couple or whatever is ridiculous. Please just chill. If you find yourself mad enough to send unwarranted hate to a random artist because they made fun fanart of a couple you don't ship, maybe you need a glass of water and some food. Redirect that energy into taking care of yourself instead of tearing down others for no reason.

And another thing about Lucien! I truly believe he is just “being loved and chosen by one (1) person” away from being fixed. Like, that’s all he needs. Just one person who says “you’re my guy” and means it with their whole heart. His entire psyche would start to mend. Just the “all in” love of one person.

If someone made plans to use me to have children to take the throne for my cousin. I would have never forgave them. He did right by throwing her out, that so screwed up. That’s literally disgusting and people skim over it because they want to love Lysandra so much. I know that it’s just a book but the opinions I see all the time show exactly the type of people that are out there in the world. If you think that’s okay, you’re sick. To take someone who’s literally referred to as “Adarlan’s Whore” and keep that plan from him-to even plan that out is vile. You’d think that Lysandra would care more with her past but this made me a lot of respect for her as a character and Aelin.

1) Aedion and Chaol are my favorite male characters

2) top 3 ships are Chaol x Yrene, Nesryn x Sartaq, and Elide x Lorcan

3) The Southern Continent was infinitely more interesting than any other setting, and it’s a damn shame we only got 1 book dedicated to it/featuring it.

I love Azriel. I think I’m more into Elucian. I’d be happy with Elain ending up with either. But the thing is, I’ve read so many Sarah J. Maas books now that I have total faith in what she’ll deliver, when the time is right. I just read an entire Chaol book and the whole time I was like, “this is so great. I love this.” I HATED Chaol a couple books earlier. So you could be like, “spoiler, Azriel is endgame with snake lady from Crescent City,” and I’d be like, “awesome, can’t wait to read how it plays out.”
