madame web was SO fucking funny i love that every single decision they make is certifiably insane but in a somehow very safe and pandering corporately-mandated way. here are some of my favorite choices:

an extended action sequence set to toxic by britney spears which stops in the middle to remind you that the year is 2003 so this song was actually just released

the villain goes to the opera, seduces an elegant woman with a single look, wakes up from a recurring nightmare wherein three teenage girls beat him up and kill him, proceeds to rant at this woman whom he’s just met about how hard it is to know how you will die someday, reveals that he is aware that she an nsa agent, and poisons her while he forces her to tell him the roughly 8 digit code that grants you access to every single security camera and government database in the entire world

one of the girls from girls is his assistant who tracks down three teenage girls for him by making composite sketches of their faces just via his own memories of his dreams. also, they are all wearing masks in his dreams, so how he was able to define all their features is extremely unclear

the fact that spidey powers originated from an indigenous tribe in peru does retroactively imply that every spider person within the spiderverse canon is performing an egregious act of cultural appropriation

adam scott plays UNCLE BEN, but because sony doesn’t have the rights to say the name “peter parker,” they are constantly finding ways to imply that he is, in fact, ben parker without outright saying it. we do see peter parker being born (i guess this spiderman was born in 2003?), but i’m not sure why we’re supposed to care since all of the girls (apparently) seem to have way cooler powers than he does

that said, we only see the girls use their powers in dreamlike sequences of the future. at no point in the present timeline do any of them use their powers whatsoever. except anya does have the power to be a #WomanInSTEM, so good for her.

dakota johnson’s cassandra webb, or “cassie,” (very normal thing to name your daughter who has spider-fueled powers of prophecy btw) cares for a stray cat who represents her own role as a “stray” as an orphan who grew up in the foster system (this is not subtle by the way, she literally says to the cat “gotta look out for fellow strays”). to illustrate that she is secretly a warm, nurturing woman despite her aloof and awkward veneer, this cat’s name is literally “cat.”

the villain of this movie never actually explains his motivation for seeking power beyond the fact that he had a difficult childhood. no details of his childhood are ever revealed. he is not given a single redeeming quality or even a reason to care about him. he is played by césar-winning and bafta-nominated actor tahar rahim in what i can only describe as the worst performance i have ever seen outside of a middle school play. he dies after being crushed by a giant letter S from a pepsi sign. you know. like a bug.

it’s never really explained why being bitten by a spider gives one prophetic visions, beyond the tenuous notion that to see the future is to “weave a web” of sorts. however, despite the fact that we establish that the villain can also see the future, despite having been bitten by the same magical species of spider, he never once is able to predict the future when it counts, such as foreseeing that he should dodge a falling giant letter S.

there’s an extended sequence dedicated to establishing that cassie’s colleague (who later dies in an ambulance crash) cannot grill for shit. as she sips from a refreshing can of pepsi-cola®️, she lambasts him for fucking up their burgers. this is the only piece of characterization they establish for him before he dies.

at the beginning of the movie, cassie receives a very earnest drawing done by a small child in thanks for saving his mother (she’s a paramedic). cassie very awkwardly refuses to accept the drawing, kind of just makes one continuous whine with the corners of her mouth until the entire family is weirded out enough to leave, and then complains that she has no idea what to do with the drawing, and will probably throw it out. we are meant to like this woman, probably.

cassie is a professional paramedic, but a hobbyist car crasher. she drives not one, but two stolen vehicles through the walls of buildings throughout the film, and it seems to be her go-to strategy in any fight.

cassie is allowed to fly internationally despite concurrently being very publicly wanted for the alleged abduction of three teenage girls. we never see her move through the airport despite the film heavily focalizing the issue of mass surveillance and preemptive criminalization in 2003 new york city, so i guess it just isn’t an issue for her. yet another win for white privilege

after cassie experiences a near-death incident on the job that triggers her latent powers of prophecy, her doctor recommends that she take the week off to get some rest and “watch old movies.” cassie clearly considers this to be sound medical advice, as in the consecutive scene, she is shown to be watching an early version of a christmas carol (in the middle of summer) and clearly feels a strong enough bond with scrooge that she feels comfortable speaking to him through the screen as if he were an old friend.

cassie has a vision of her mother researching spiders in the amazon before she died, and almost immediately yells “WHY DID YOU HATE ME!!!!”

cassie’s quest to save three teenage girls she doesn’t know ultimately results in the deaths of many more people, including multiple cops, train passengers, diner patrons, chopper pilots and people she may or may not have hit with her stolen taxi and/or stolen ambulance. but at least julia, mattie, and anya are safe!

after cassie is blinded and paralyzed(?), her entire personality does a 180 and she becomes a very creepy, ominous woman who serenely predicts the near future of her three adopted teenage girls, illuminated by a giant, weblike window. this is all done in service of setting up the sequel that sony clearly assumes is a given.

cassie attends her colleague/best friend’s sister’s baby shower (who happens to be played by emma roberts, and who also happens to be peter parker’s mother) and is for some reason corralled into playing some baby shower games, including “describe your fondest memory of your mother on a small strip of blue paper” (which cassie deliberately leaves blank, leading to a very awkward explanation of her mother having died in childbirth, but don’t worry, you’ll be fine) and “guess the name of my baby” (which is never actually revealed, because sony apparently has the rights to the name ben, but not peter).

The guy had an interesting take on the state of Tom's Spiderman. Honestly? You can tell that Tom really cares about the character a LOT, and I think he really wants to see the character done right on the big screen, especially if he's going to be leading the movie.

Based on what I've heard regarding what Sony wants, and based on what Tom has said himself, it seems both Sony AND Tom (and I assume Disney as well) want a 4th Spider-Man film to be "surpassing" of what NWH was. You can hear Tom mention this at Minute: 2:00.

I think the problem might be that Sony feels that having Andrew and Tobey come BACK in SM4 would surely ensure a film that "surpasses" NWH. Tom, on the other hand seems to want a more grounded, simple, and "Fan-Friendly" Spider-Man. Honestly? Idk how realistic it even is to have a 4th film surpass NWH, when it brought back villains AND both Spidermen from the previous franchises. Like, is it even realistic to expect a 4th Spidey film to bring as much bank to the box office as NWH did?? 🤔 Personally? I agree with Tom and the fans. I think the next SM4 film should be more grounded. I love Tobey and Andrew, but I think it would feel a bit campy to have them come back AGAIN for another film. Not only that, but I think Sony/Disney/Marvel should STOP trying to "top NWH", and just focus more on writing a GOOD, solid story! It would be better to create a more grounded SM film for SM4 and risk not having the same box office as NWH, than to rush to make something with all of this campy stuff, and have it be lackluster. 🥴

I don't think the pressure should all be on Tom's shoulders, but I def feel like he can be a huge influencer, because it's obvious that Sony doesn't want to leave him. Tom is showing that he is willing to just walk out and let someone else take on the role if the story isn't to his satisfaction. He's in the upper hand. Sony already showed their hand that they want to KEEP Tom in the role.

I think that's why there are all of these negotiations. Anyway... I'm actually fine with Tom getting rid of the suit if that's what it takes. 🤷🏾‍♀️ He's had a GREAT run as Spiderman. At the very least, he can sign on to one more film, but leave it at that. Unlike what was said in the video, I personally don't think I want to see Tom STILL Playing Spider-Man in his 40s. ���

I'm so happy with that season 2 finale of "Loki" and that he's fully become the God of Stories!!! 😀 He's now in charge of the entire MCU and all the multiverse. It's been so amazing to watch this journey of his and going from being a "villain" to getting the full redemption arc and now being the most powerful being in all of Marvel. He found his true purpose and I'm so proud of him like his parents would be and Thor will be when he finds out. I know a lot of fans were worried last night this is his final appearance but I actually think it's the opposite. He's actually probably going to become the new Stan Lee as he'll be able to be in any MCU project from now on as we lead up to the "Secret Wars" movie that's about a multiverse war.

Years ago there was a theory that Stan Lee was going to be revealed as the Creator/Author (or basically God) of the MCU and in charge of everything. Now Loki is this. It makes sense for the projects we know are coming and he's not stuck there alone. He's connected to everything and everyone in every universe. He should be able to travel too as that never stopped Odin or Zeus, or even Freya who is in charge of the threads of fate in Norse mythology. Even for us shippers of any ship with him this won't prevent him from being with anyone if he chooses (again look at Odin and Zeus LOL).

I love that it's the World Tree where Loki's throne is. The World Tree connects all the realms/universes together, there are creatures that live inside it including a dragon, and you can travel it to get to the other realms/universes so that's likely how we'll see the MCU characters interact with other Marvel characters/actors from Sony's "Spiderman" films or Fox's "X-Men".

I'm seeing others think too Loki will also be like Nick Fury now too and recruit heroes to help him save the multiverse. Plus, the "Loki" producers are still saying they could get a 3rd season and they have plans for it, Loki is rumored to be in "Thor 5" which is supposed to feature Zeus and Hercules too as the Marvel producers have said the brothers will reunite, and him being in the movies as we head to "Secret Wars". Plus, The Telegraph just posted an article about how their journalist is upset it looks like Tom Hiddleston will be playing Loki from years to come (which honestly I'm happy about). LOL

So we got so much more to look forward to and Tom's getting interviewed tonight on "The Tonight Show" with Brie Larson so we might get more news soon. But going back to Loki being the God of Stories now and in the World Tree, this made me realize how I got my Loki Hallmark Christmas ornament last year and put him in my Christmas tree last year for the first time and will be putting the tree up again in a few weeks, and that it means more to me as I also found my true purpose being a writer/author and how I always deeply connected with Loki since I saw the first "Thor" film all those years ago. 🥰 🌲

Alright after almost having an irrational breakdown over whether or not I’ll see Spiderverse spoilers, I went to go see it

And since @psychedelic-ink wants to talk about it with someone, here are my notes :)

My sibling said they knew of a cameo and I thought it was gonna just be J.K. Simmons as J Jonah Jameson (in two universes)

I was surprised that Gwen took up the intro. But I’m not mad about it, just unexpected. Which is exactly what she said “let’s do this differently”

THE RENAISSANCE VULTURE AHHHH so cool. Loved how the style clashed with the rest of the universe

Miles’ mom’s Spanglish is no joke. She would change mid sentence (mid- word???) my (limited) Spanish class knowledge can’t keep up 😭😭😭😭New respect for the Spanglish kids having to decode their parents all the time

Also was Miles’ roommate playing the Spiderman PS2 game? Like the controller was new but I swear it looked like the PS2 game. I understand the new Spiderman PS4 and PA5 game is popular rn so I’d get if it was that instead. I’m just not as familiar with that

I thought from the trailer that the spot was going to be a minor villain and they weren’t gonna show the main villain. But I like how they made him a genuine threat. He’s still a nerd tho

I know Miguel is trying to to save a whole universe and doing it for the greater good but holy cow man. He’s a child. It’s his dad you’re talking about. He’s not gonna be rational, and don’t ever expect him to. I wouldn’t. Like I don’t care, I just want my dad to be alright.

Also what is his beef with Peter B. Parker? I feel like there’s more there

Miguel’s backstory hurt tho. No wonder he’s traumatized. I’d become the antagonist too (not villain - just the person that gets in the way of the protagonist)

Also who’s the daddy of Jessica’s baby? We only got glimpses of her backstory. Like did she remove herself from the baby daddy? Did he die? Is Miguel the dad? I doubt it but I’m just nosey. I need her specific trauma gimmie gimmie. Jessica having a soft spot for Gwen. Women protecting women. Gotta love it

Is this the first movie to incorporate footnotes? I feel like it is. It’s certainly the first one I’ve seen. Also “I haven’t got a Scooby Doo” is a phenomenal phrase. And I’m so disappointed that the Brits use it and not us. Like, come on. We’re Scooby Doo capital of the world. Every American loves Scooby Doo.

Okay, Miles being an anomaly was a great twist. But wouldn’t his world collapse then? Wouldn’t Earth 42 collapse? Wouldn’t Miles glitch more? If Mike’s was never meant to be Spiderman than why is the multiverse not already erasing itself?

I think Miles and his universe is the key to restoring other universes, especially the ones where the holes were contained.

So, at this moment, I’m pretty much useless. Because of my fever, I don’t even have the strength to get up. So I have no choice but to watch my best friend hold on to her dying father. While that’s happening, The Vulture was laughing sinisterly. 

“Stop laughing, you freak!” I yelled in anger.

“Oh you foolish mortal. Can’t you see? This is the curse of being a half-blood, no matter how much they struggle, the people they care and love are the ones that suffer.” 

Sam was trying to stop the bleeding, but it’s not working. The wound was too big and too much blood was spilling. Mr. Stacy was dying and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. At this moment, Mr. Stacy seems to be saying something to Sam, but he was too weak for me to hear it. The Vulture flies up in the air, ready to attack. 

“Time to die, Halfblood!” She yelled. 

As she swoops down, Percy suddenly flies out of nowhere and clashes with the harpy. They both fall to the ground. I hear Percy groaning in pain. 

“Percy?!” I yelled. 

“Should’ve known it was an ambush,” He replied. “Where’s Sam?” 

I pointed towards the Stacy’s, and as I did, Sam looked at me. 

Her eyes say it all. 

He’s gone. 

Percy notices her expression and curses in an ancient language. Then the Vulture pins Percy down from behind. 

“You insolent brat!” She yelled. “Always getting in the way! Always ruining our plans and forcing us to hide in the shadows!” 

Percy tries to escape from her grip but fails. The harpy claws out Percy’s back. He screams in pain. I screamed out to him as I tried to get up; but once again, I was too weak to even move. I don’t know why I’m getting this fever, but it’s a really bad time to lose most of my strength! 

“Time for you to die, Percy Jackson!” Vulture yelled. 

Just as she was about to do the finishing blow on Percy, a bullet flew past her face, leaving a scar on her face. She grunts in pain and lets go of Percy. 

“Who did that?!” She yelled. 

We all looked at where the bullet was shot at, and we saw Sam holding her father’s gun and the knife I had a while ago. 

“You're fighting me, bird freak!” she yelled. 

Vulture snarled at her, “You? How can a mere child hope to stand against… wait…” She squints her eyes as she takes a closer look at Sam, “Your eyes…”

I looked at Sam and saw what the Vulture was seeing. Sam’s eyes were glowing. As I said before, Sam has gray colored eyes that are just full of curiosities and wonders. Now, they’re glowing, shiny like silver but fueled by anger and sorrow. It’s kinda like how Goku goes Super Saiyan; or Rose using her silver eyes; or… basically like how every anime character activates their powers for the first time. 

“No matter!” The Vulture once again flies up and swoops down to attack Sam. However, Sam miraculously dodged her attack and slashed her talons with the knife. The harpy screeches in pain. Sam was being relentless, she was somehow dodging all of her attacks and was counter attacking with her knife. She wasn’t using the gun, but I believe she was just saving ammo to finish off the Vulture. 

As Sam was dealing with the harpy, Percy was getting back up and was about to join the fight when we suddenly heard a loud roar. Percy cursed in silence and saw a big figure charging through and ramming towards him. Percy managed to dodge but barely. He grabbed his pen that was in his pocket and uncapped it, turning it into a sword. Percy gets back up and continues fighting the big guy while Sam deals with the Vulture. 

I’m honestly at shock; not only is my lovable and dorky brother is being a total badass, but my best friend who is a total otaku (don’t judge, anime is getting popular lately) and a nerd on history and myths is standing up against a highly experienced flying bird person. Either I’m now hallucinating, or I have underestimated my family. 

Sam continues dodging and slashing down the Vulture, but is only doing minimal damage. Makes sense, but just because she has some ancient power that’ll most likely be the start of another Shonen anime, does not mean she’s instantly an expert. What do you think this is? An Isekai Anime? Anyways, despite Sam holding up, she’s still no match for the Vulture. After only a few minutes of them constantly fighting, Sam was being overwhelmed by fatigue and the harpy’s relentless attacks. 

Panting, Sam was cornered. 

“Your temper tantrum is over, little girl!” The Vulture yelled. She lifted one of her talons and attempted to attack, but Sam anticipated and dodged it, then aimed her father’s gun and fired at her. The bullet flew past her, but left a small scratch by her cheek. The vulture then left a swift kick toward Sam at the stomach, knocking her out. Sam landed right next to me, groaning in pain. 

“Sam!” I yelled weakly, “Stay down, just get to the gate, I’ll be okay!”

Sam slowly gets up and grabs the knife on the ground. 

“No!” She yelled, “I’m not losing anyone else because of me! You want me, you flying freak? Come get me!”

As the Vulture was panting from their fight, I saw Percy also struggling with his fight against the big guy himself. Whoever this guy is, he definitely knows Percy’s fighting technique. I muster up all the strength I have as I slowly get up, but my fever is really wearing me down, like I could pass out at any moment. But I can’t.  I need to find a way to help them in any way possible. 

“Percy!” I called out.

“Estelle! Get Sam inside camp! I’ll hold them off!” Percy yelled, unaware that I’m not feeling well and can’t do much to help Sam. 

“But Percy-”

“I’ll be fine, go!”

I know he’s lying, but I ain’t got much of a choice at the moment. I called out to Sam.

“Sam! We gotta go!”

“Not yet! Not until I kill her!” Sam replied. 

“Sam! That’s not you,” I said. “Your dad wouldn’t want this for you! He wants you to live a normal, happy life!” 

The Vulture continues her relentless attacks. She would either fly up and swoop down to attack with her claws; use her wings to attack on the ground or simply throw some of her feathers at Sam. Most of her attacks don't lay a scratch on Sam, but she’s wearing out fast. Probably because she never did this much exercise in the past. Remember, she’s an Otaku nerd, not an athlete. Or maybe, it has something to do with those silver eyes. You know, how in anime where the main character uses their abilities for the first time with recklessness, only to wear out fast and lose the fight? Yeah, something like that. 

Okay… I gotta convince Sam to stop making me watch anime. It’s ruining both our views in reality.

Suddenly, Sam was kneeling down, panting from dodging and attacking the Vulture. She was already wearing down from the fight already. 

“Sam!” I yelled. 

“You lose,” The Vulture said, kicking Sam towards me. She dropped both the knife and gun far away from us so we have no way to defend ourselves. 

Meanwhile, Percy was managing to keep his head up and focused on his fight. The big guy was losing his breath. No doubt, Percy is actually winning. 

“Why can’t you just stay down?!” Percy yelled. 

The big guy growled. 

He then punched Percy, making him fly towards us. 

Percy groaned in pain. 

“Okay, that really hurts,” He said.

The three of us stayed closed as the Vulture and the big cloaked man walked towards us. But now that I got a good look at his front side, I noticed he has horns popping from his hood. I can only think of one creature with such a horn. But it can’t be… right?

“It’s over, Percy Jackson!” The Vulture yelled. “Give up!” 

Percy still has his sword on his hand, but he’s worn out from his fight and so was Sam. Plus, her weapons are tossed to the side. And what’s worse, the two are blocking the entrance to the camp, so now we can’t even get to safety and call for help.

“Now, time for you to-”

As the Vulture was gonna attack, a sudden buzz was heard from nearby. The vulture then responded toward her ear.

“Master?” She responded. She was nodding and listening to whoever was behind her earpiece. Which, may I remind you, I just noticed right now. Was that always there? And if so, was she just following orders from someone else? And by whom?

“Understood,” The vulture responded and looked at her partner. “Change of plans, our boss wants Percy alive. The rest we can dispose of.” 

The big guy growled and nodded. 

“Who wants me?” Percy asked. “Who do you work for?!” Percy yelled. 

“Nothing for you to know, Jackson. Just know that you are very lucky that my master wants you alive,” The Vulture says.

“What, Percy has a fan club of his most hated enemies?” I asked. 

“Oh, you have no idea.”

The Vulture walks closer to them as Percy gets between.

“You leave them alone!” Percy yelled. 

“I don’t think so,” Vulture replied. “You are important to my master, but the girls made this personal now. Never have I lost my prey in all my life.”

I scoffed, “Yet you managed to fail to stop all three of us.” 

“Perhaps… but you won’t be alive to tell anyone.” 

As the two monsters walked closer to us, an arrow flew past the big guy. It came right behind us, and as we looked behind us, what I saw was even more shocking. I swear, I saw dozens of these spartan looking warriors, wearing armor and wielding spears, shields, and bows. Suddenly, a tall man walks up front from behind the group. As he appears, I realized something… he has a horse body underneath his torso. A horse butt. 

Yeah… let’s add that in this pile of crazy reveals. 

“You two! Leave these kids alone, or you face my campers!” 

Vulture snarls then replied, “Chiron… mark my words, your camp will burn along with these warriors. My master will ensure it!” 

The Vulture ordered the big guy to retreat, as they both walked back towards the shadows, she spoke to Estelle. 

“We will meet again, sister of Percy Jackson.”

“The name is Estelle. Estelle Blofis,” I replied. 

And the two disappear to the shadows. 

Several of those warriors ran towards us and tended to our wounds. The man with the horse body, I believe his name was Chiron, spoke to Percy. 

“Percy, are you okay?” he asked. 

“Been through worse, but…” Percy looked towards Mr. Stacy’s corpse. “We lost a good man.”

Sam collapsed, as if all of her energy was just used up and she didn’t notice until the fight was over. Of course, I’m no different. 

“Hey, Percy?” I asked. “I… I don’t feel so good…” 

I suddenly started to lose consciousness as Percy called out for me. The last thing I saw was him running towards me as several of those warriors grabbed onto me so that I wouldn't collapse on the ground. 

And then everything turns black. 

You want to know something crazy? I don’t dream, at all. Seriously, everytime I go to bed, I close my eyes and then wake up the next day. No dreams or visions, nothing. It’s like time just passes by and I don’t notice it. 

This time… I had a dream.

I can’t really describe where I was; only that it was dark and secluded. At the other end of this room, I saw these three hooded elder ladies, weaving something. Hard to tell what it was as it weaved endlessly towards the darkness. 

I slowly got up and asked, “Where am I?” 

The three ladies did not answer, instead they continued weaving. I noticed something though; they seem to be weaving some unique colors of threads. As I look towards the end of their threads, I see several sweaters and shirts with names on them. Most of them I recognized instantly and some not yet. However, the majority of these shirts were unfinished. But… the ones that were finished had names I am unaware of. There were names like Charles Beckendorf, Silena Beauregard, Luke Castellan and more; but there was one name that really grabbed my attention for some reason. It was a purple sweater, unfinished and tossed to the side and had a hole on the spot on the chest, where the heart would be. It didn’t have a name on it.

I don’t know why it piqued my interest, but for some reason I felt grief and sorrow for it. It’s as if it was meant for someone. 

“Estelle Blofis…” 

One of the ladies spoke and was pointing upwards. I looked up and saw a spider hanging by the light on the ceiling. It came webbing down towards the unfinished clothes and did something unexpecting. It began using its webs to seal up the holes on them. 

“It seems,” One of the ladies said, “You have taken a path that shall defy fate itself, Estelle Blofis. Would you use this gift for yourself? Or for others?” 

I didn’t understand what she was saying. 

Gift? Defy fate? What does that even mean? 

“Perhap time shall tell…” She said as the room began to darken.

Then I woke up. 

I groaned as if I didn’t get enough sleep due to me staying up and watching some anime Sam recommended. Don’t deny that you have done this before. 

“Estelle!” I heard a voice. I looked ahead and saw Percy, wearing some shorts and an orange shirt that had a logo and name on it: CAMP HALF-BLOOD. 

I replied, “Percy? Where am I?” 

“In the infirmary at camp. After you passed out, we took you here to heal. You had a pretty bad fever during the fight.”

“How long was I out?” I asked. Percy was quiet for a moment and then replied.

“About two days.” 

“TWO DAYS?!” I yelled. I then rapidly started asking questions about The Vulture and her partner, Percy and Sam’s health and… about Mr. Stacy. 

Percy was able to explain everything to me. The campers took us here to heal and recover from Vulture’s attack. As for Mr.Stacy… They buried him nearby and gave him a proper funeral yesterday. 

“I should’ve been there for Sam,” I said. “It was my fault… I should’ve done something to help.” 

“It’s not your fault, Estelle. He knew how dangerous this life is, so he did everything he could to protect her daughter. Mom did the same for me, and Annabeth and I would do the same for our kids.”

I sighed, “But all that Sam had was her dad. What is she going to do now?” 

Suddenly, Sam emerges from behind Percy as she enters the infirmary. 

“Stella! You’re okay!” She yelled as she jumped on me and hugged me. 

“Sam…” I couldn’t say anything. I just held her and she let out all of her emotions. 

“I was so worried, I thought I’d lose you too!” She said, crying out on my shoulder as she held onto me tightly.

After what felt like a few minutes of crying, Sam picked herself up and joined in on the conversation. Percy explained how the campers healed our wounds and saved us from the Vulture and her partner. Percy explained to me how I was having a nasty fever and that I was sweating pretty bad. I miraculously survived, but there was no explanation for my sickness. I wasn’t hit by any poison or cursed at all, whatever that means.  He explained to Sam why he brought us here.

“Sam, your father and I brought you here because it was the safest place for you to be. You see, your blood is sacred and brings danger to yourself. Your father did everything he could to protect you from this. If you knew, our enemies would pick up your scent much faster.”

“And where are we, exactly?” I asked. “What is this camp?”

“This is Camp Half-Blood. A safe haven for half-bloods like me and Sam,” Percy answered.

“Half-bloods? What is that?” Sam asked. 

“Demigods, Sam. Demigods.”

Sam and I gasped. 

“I understand this is a lot to take in but-”

“I’m like Thor?!” Sam yelled in excitement. “Can I do some awesome god powers like him? No wait, what if I’m like Bell from Danmachi?!”

Leave it to Sam to always talk about anime and movies. To be fair, it is a good anime, don’t mind too much about the… plot.

“Not like that, Sam,” Percy said. “It’s a lot to explain, so as soon as Estelle is ready, I’ll take you girls to the big house. Chiron will be there to help explain it better.”

“Chiron?!” I yelled. “You mean THE Chiron? The friendliest and wisest Centaur in Mythology?!” 

“Oh yeah, I forgot how much you both were into Mythology. I guess this will be pretty easy to explain. Anyways, I brought you some extra clothes for you to wear in the meantime, Estelle. It’s by the chair next to you, Sam and I will wait outside.” 

After that, Sam and Percy got up and left the building. On the chair next to me was an Orange shirt and shorts. My sneakers were there too. Afterwards, I got up and changed. I thought about what my dream was about and why I even had it in the first place. I don’t dream, at all. And what did The Vulture and her partner want with Percy? Who was their master? Well, whatever it was, it’s not good. All I know is that Percy is involved, and even though he’s such an overprotective dork, he’s still my brother who’s also a father and husband. And Sam is all alone now. She needs me. 

Whatever happens from this point on, is my choice. I don’t know where this life will take me, but I won’t abandon my friends and family. Whatever this life holds for me, I will have to face it. Even if it’s a living nightmare.

And so, I stepped out of the infirmary.

marvel fucking up Wanda’s character was the biggest L for me. Cause they teased the x men in the marvels and wands would’ve been so iconic. Like the only saving grace for the franchise now is spiderman and i dont think Tom Holland or Zendaya will do anymore spiderman films after the 4th. I think after that film is done, Spiderman will fill transition back to Sony and the focus will be on miles morales and the spiderverse

I agree. I think that’s their only saving grace at this point. Because guardians is done, the last Thor bombed, and nothing else is going well. WandaVision was great. But that was the last good thing I remember seeing from Marvel besides Spider-Man.

What they honestly need is one person to sit down and figure out the whole story. How they all fit together where this is gonna go, because having a bunch of different directors, and writers doesn’t seem to be helping them.

ok so this is the rawest line in the entire mcu because it’s the only time that disney acknowledges the central theme of spiderman. power begets responsibility, but spiderman’s power is not slinging the webs and reading the future and jumping real high and punching hard. that’s just how peter parker stays alive when bad guys are trying to squash him. his true power is in who he is as a person. his ability to make the difficult choices that only true heroes can make. and his ability to recover from his mistakes and to do better in the future. sure he is flawed and he makes mistakes and he does selfish things but he makes enormous sacrifices of the stuff he wants to do. he would sacrifice his own life if it meant he could do something like, oh, I don’t know, save the universe.

it is clear that jon favreau idolizes sam raimi’s spiderman trilogy. it is clear that he based the iron man movies off of spiderman. it is so very obvious that he sacrificed a lot to be a scapegoat for disney’s shitty copyright renewals that are pretending that they’re movies in order to get his version of tony stark to be the mentor to spiderman.

spiderman homecoming was a bright spot that slowly faded because sony wanted more money. and that sucks.

Spiderman 2 film review some spoilers

Spiderman 2 in the original Sony and Sam Raimi series.  Is not only the best Spiderman sequel but a guilty pleasure film that's a unique film in general.  The villain is Dr. Octupus its kinda strange considering how smart he is in the film.  But what ever any way Peter Parker who is spiderman struggles to balance his life as a superhero and a struggling college student.  He struggles to keep his job as a Daley bugle photographer and lost his second job as a pizzeria delivery boy.  Peter all so tries to keep his secret from his loved ones and to make things worse his powers stop working constantly.  Peter goes to interview and watch Dr. Otto Octavius latest science experiment  theres a freak accident and Peter turns into Spiderman.  He saves the day but Otto Octavius is turned into Dr. Octupus.  After Dr. Octupus kills a bunch of quack medical Doctors he has a plan to use his new robotic tanticals that are attached to him and his prised machine that.  Could possibly destroy New York city real nice guy Dr. Octupus kidnaps Mary Jane Watson and peter’s powers start to work again permanetly.  Peter goes to rescue her after his best friend Harry Osborn had him captured by Dr. Octupus and is brought to his mansion.  Harry Unmasks Spiderman and is shocked its Peter and Peter then escapes and goes off to rescue MJ who all so finds out the secret.  During Peters big epic battle with Dr. Octupus Peter and Mj escape as Dr. Octupous goes down with the machine into the ocean.  MJ chooses Peter and Harry dsicovers his Dad was the green Goblin and.  Peter goes back to his Spiderman duties.  Its a really great sequel I hope everyione with a open mind watched it. it’s still on dvd you can buy it on amazon.

I feel like something is going to have to give eventually. I don't see how both Sony AND Disney/Marvel are going to be able to get their way. They will either each have to compromise, or go their separate ways.

Honestly?? If Sony would just do a a GROUNDED, street-level Spider-Man film with Tom's Spider-Man for Part 4, I wouldn't mind seeing them detach from the MCU.👀 Now that the OG Avengers are dead, I really don't need Tom's Spider-Man attached the the MCU. JMHO. I know I'll get pelted with tomatoes for saying that, but I've been feeling this way for years. The MCU has become so complicated over the past several years, and I would actually like to see Peter Parker/Spider-Man fighting is OWN battles w/out Ironman and any other "surprise" Avengers coming in to save the day for him.

If Sony could just do a stand-alone Spider-Man Movie with Tom just like they did with Tobey and Andrew's franchises, I actually wouldn't be mad at that! But it seems like everyone wants to attach Tom's Spider-Man to OTHER projects and future films (or other actors) in order to keep the hype and money flowing. They need to work on creating a GREAT script FIRST, and then worry about the future imo.

Just because NWH had Tobey and Andrew in it, it doesn't mean that every single Tom SM movie has to now include Tobey and Andrew! You're not going to get the same fanfare for SM4 with Tobey and Andrew being in the film "just because" like you got for NWH because NWH was a resolution to a buildup that took years to do and 2 prior films to develop!

I honestly don't know what Sony OR Marvel are thinking smh. 😩

The sea was enraged with massive storms and waves. It's nearly impossible to sail through; why is this happening?

Well, you see-

"THE TRIDENT HAS BEEN STOLEN!"

Hey! I was going to say that. Anyways, Poseidon's kingdom is under attack at the moment, which is causing a lot of disturbance towards the mortal world. Some monster... man... thing... I don't know, I just got here. The soldiers are out scouring for the intruder at the moment, and Poseidon? He's down on the floor at his throne, along with his son (the other one) Triton.

"My lord," One of the guards replied. "Are you alright?"

"I am fine," Poseidon answered. "What of my son, Triton?"

"Our men are tending to him, but he is fine."

"Good," Poseidon slowly gets back up with the help of one his guards as support. "I need you to inform the other gods."

"Sir?"

"We must warn them... Typhon has returned."

Oh shoot! That guy's back!

Huh? Did you forget? Typhon, the big guy that was marching toward Olympus in New York?

I mean... you guys have read the books, right? If not, why are you here? Nah, I'm kidding. Of course, you read the books. But this isn't like those days; not anymore.  Percy Jackson and his friends have done their heroism. This time... a new hero will rise.

Who is this new hero you ask? What's their godly parents? Unfortunately, she's not a demigod. But by the end of this story, she will be just as amazing.

[Cue Spider-Man: Homecoming Intro]

Background:

A/N: For Spider-Man fans who don't know the Percy Jackson series... (If you like to hear some music while reading, I recommend listening to the MCU Spider-Man theme. Get that Spider-Man vibe going for this story. Or you can listen any alternative if you wish.)

A long time ago, there was a boy name Percy Jackson. He was just a normal kid with some disabilities such as ADHD and Dyslexia, until he finds out the truth of himself. He found out who he really was; Percy Jackson was a demigod, a half-human/half-god being. And his father was Poseidon, The Greek God of the Sea. Because of what he is, he was sent to a Camp for demigods, Camp Half-Blood, for his safety.

Thanks to his best friend, Grover (A Satyr, Half-man/Half-goat), he arrived safely and thus began his legend as a hero of Olympus. Along with his friends, he fought monsters, gods and many mythological beings. With the help his other best friend and girlfriend, Annabeth Chase (Daughter of Athena), they saved the world countless times. Along the way, he even encountered other people who struggles with other myths such as Egyptian and Norse Mythology. The Kanes, Carter and Sadie, are Egyptian sorcerers that fought Apophis, the Serpent God of Chaos, and sent him back to his prison. Magnus Chase, Annabeth's cousin and a fellow demigod himself (Son of Frey), traveled the nine realms of the Norse Tree, Yggdrasil, and prevented Ragnarök from arriving.

Though he had many fun adventures, most of them did not come without loss and sacrifices. Percy has lost many good friends from the forces of evil. But, without their sacrifices, the world would not have been saved.  Percy struggled with such burdens, for despite them all being heroes, they were still children that most likely won't survive to reach high school graduation, let alone Adulthood.

But even so, Percy and his friends carry on with their lives, for both their fallen friends and their own sake. And so, 15 years has passed since their final adventures. But this is not his story. This is the story of his half-sister, Estelle Blofis. She is no demigod, nor has any magical abilities like the Kanes. But even so... She will go through a path full of hardships, dedications and sacrifices. By the end of this series, she will learn the values... and consequences... of doing the right thing and helping those in need of help.

Chapter 1: Got Bitten by a (Non-Radioactive) Spider

A/N: The story will be in Estelle's POV the whole time. It's been a while since I've done 1st POV so forgive me if it's a little sloppy.

[Estelle POV]

Look, I didn't want to be a hero.

Things got out of line and next thing I knew; I'm out here protecting New York.

Ah, you're probably wondering what I'm talking about, don't you? Well, let's start with how it all began.

High school.

Yeah, I know; nobody wants to go back to high school. All the drama; fights and rumors. It is such a hassle. But there's a couple things I like about my high school. Goode High is the school I attend.

And me? I'm Estelle Blofis.

And I'm late for school.

"Mom!" I yelled as I left my room with my backpack. I just finished changing into my outfit and was in the middle of fixing my hair into a ponytail. "Did dad already leave?!"

"He just left right now, you can still catch him on the main floor though," My mom replied.

She's such an angel. My mom is a writer and can cook amazing food. How on Earth did my dad get her? I mean, my dad is alright; but my mom is just so amazing. I mean, her childhood was not that great, yet she went far and beyond for me and my brother. Right now, she's just cleaning up dishes that were from breakfast. Which I missed because I overslept. On the plates were some scraps of pancakes.

Blue pancakes.

I know, "why blue?"

Long story short, I have a half-brother who loves the color blue, and my mom would make her food blue for him.

It's sweet and funny, but it later became a family thing.

"Thanks mom!"

"Just don't be late," My mom yelled as I left the apartment and ran toward the elevator to the lobby.

As you can see, I live in an apartment complex with my parents. We have a 3-room apartment on the third floor and have been living there since I can remember. As the elevator opens, I see my dad just about to leave and head toward the car.

"Wait! Dad!" I yelled.

He looked up and replied, "Finally woke up?"

"Sorry, my alarm didn't go off. And I turned on all three of them," I said.

"It's fine, just be more careful next time."

I nodded as I walked with my dad to the car, we hopped in, and drove to school. My dad works at Goode High as a teacher; but that doesn't mean I get special treatment. In school, I'm treated just like all the students equally. But I don't mind, I hate being treated special.

"So, are you excited?" My dad asked.

"About what?"

"Well first, your trip today to the Museum of Natural History. They just brought in some new artifacts that were found in Greece."

I heard of that; it was some sort of ancient tablet about some ancient myth of a spider lady.

I shrugged, "You know me, dad. I enjoy learning about myths and folklore, especially Ancient Greek."

Dad chuckled, "So much like Annabeth. Speaking of, that's another thing you're excited for, right?"

I smiled.

My brother, or half-brother to be exact, is coming to visit from San Diego with his family. Percy Jackson is his name and he's mom's first-born son. I don't know much about his father, but he says that he's a good man who loves the ocean. As far as I know, Percy and his dad are on good terms. Still, I would like to meet this man.

Anyways, Percy is coming to visit with his wife and two kids. Don't get me started on his wife, she is the coolest person ever to exist. And my lame brother is married to her? Annabeth Jackson is a California girl who knows martial arts and is really smart. Heck, probably smarter than a computer. And she is so beautiful with her blonde wavy hair and sharp gray eyes. Apparently, Percy and Annabeth were friends in Summer Camp since the age of twelve and started dating at sixteen. Since then, they were glued to the hip and got married and had two kids: Luke Charles and Silena Bianca Jackson.

My brother, Percy, is just a big dork with a bigger heart. He would always baby me whenever he comes and visits since I'm still his "baby sister". I'm sixteen! I'm not little anymore. Anyways, I also remember the time when I was little, he would tell me these crazy stories about monsters and gods in myths and folklore. My favorite is the one where he "apparently" fought the minotaur and won. As a kid, I believed it. Now, I can see that Percy was trying to be cool.

Still, he's the best big brother I can ever have.

"Of course, dad! I can't wait to see my nephew and niece again! Are you sure Annabeth is going to come and visit too? I know she's been busy with her work, but I would LOVE to see her again."

Annabeth's dream job was to be an architecture developer. She got her dream job, but I haven't seen her for a while. Dad replied, "Percy told me that she got the vacation time requested earlier. She's coming with the family."

I cheered. "I can't wait!" I said as dad chuckled.

"You really love Annabeth, huh?"

"Well duh! I mean, someone amazing like her is married to my dorky brother. And have two kids?! Like, what did Percy do to get this lucky."

"You'll understand... someday." He said ominously. We arrived at the school and noticed that students are already lining up for the trip.

"Go meet up with your group, I'll be here to pick you up," My dad said as I walked out of the car. "Please stay out of trouble, Estelle."

I rolled my eyes.

"C'mon dad, I'm not like Percy. I won't cause trouble, I promise."

My dad looked concerned. I remember one time how Percy told me he had trouble with school because of his ADHD and Dyslexia. He got bullied for it and ended up in fights. The crazy part was that one time he blew up an entire gym in middle school.

I still wonder how he did that.

"Okay, just stay out of trouble. Love you."

"Love you too dad. I'll see you after school," I said to dad as he drove to his parking spot. My dad won't be joining us on the trip since he has classes for Seniors. I'm a sophomore so I won't be going to my dad's classes until later on in the year.

As I walked to meet up with my group, I noticed one of them waving at me.

"Stella!" She yelled. I waved back and ran toward her.

Stella is my nickname that my friends would usually call me. Family does too but it's mostly Estelle. The girl that called out to me is my best friend since kindergarten, Samantha Stacy. She has long blonde hair and gray eyes, just like Annabeth. We have been friends for a long time and have stood by each other's side since.

Sam is a shy girl but is very intelligent. She is an honor student and will most likely be going to the big universities in the future, like Yale or Harvard.

Only a couple of things about her that make her unique. One in particular.

"Did you finish the Sword Art Online season one set I lent you?"

I rolled my eyes, "Yes, Sam, I did. Though I don't understand why you love the series?"

"Because it's a good show to start watching anime! You have to admit it was romantic and interesting."

Yeah, you guessed it. Samantha Stacy is a hard-core Otaku, a huge anime-fan.

"Fine," I said. "I guess it is kind of romantic. Just send me season 2 when you can."

Sam smirked at the comment. She knows I became a fan of the series, despite its flaws. Sam got into anime when she was at the library one time in middle school and spotted some Manga's and read them. After that, her whole life changed for the worse.

"Oh?" Sam says, "So you DID enjoy it?"

I rolled my eyes once again. Before I could reply to her, the teacher called out for everyone to get on the bus.

"That's our cue," I said. "You're excited for the trip, Sam?"

Sam smiles.

"You know I am, especially about that new addition to the museum. Can't wait to see it!"

We got on the bus and started heading off toward the Museum of Natural History. Once we arrived, everyone formed small groups and entered the building. Sam and I stayed close together so that we wouldn't get separated.

I'm very social and can get along with anyone, but Samantha is another story. Other than anime and ancient history, Sam really struggles with communicating with other people. Ever since kindergarten, she was shy and nervous around the other kids. I was the first one to talk to her and since then, we were best friends every school year.

Our teacher for the trip informs us to stay close and to follow the tour guide instructions. Makes sense since we do have some troublemakers in our class. I mean, there's always one in every school year.

The tour had lots of interesting stuff, especially about U.S. and Ancient history. Sam and I have been very interested in ancient history such as Greek, Egypt and the Roman Empire.

"Now class, what can you tell me about the Greek Gods?" The tour guide asked.

I raised my hand because I knew the answer to it.

The tour lady pointed toward me to answer.

"The Greek Gods were the rulers of Mount Olympus and there were 12 Olympians in the group. The one in charge was Zeus, the God of Thunder. He ruled Olympus while his brothers, Poseidon and Hades, ruled the Sea and the Underworld. Their story began after Zeus defeated his father, Kronos, and freed his siblings from him."

"That's correct," The guide replied. "Do you also know the tale of Arachne?"

Sam gasped in excitement as I answered.

"The Tale of Arachne was about a woman who was very talented in weaving. So talented, that she challenged Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom and an Olympian herself, to a weaving contest. Irritated by her arrogance, she accepted and won the contest and transformed Arachne into a spider. Thus, why we got the term Arachnid for spiders."

"That is correct. I asked about that because the next artifact will be about that tale."

The tour lady led us to the latest addition to the museum.

"You still remember me talking about that, didn't you?" Sam whispered.

I snickered, "I mean, you got so excited about it because it involves your favorite insect."

"Arachnids," Sam corrected. "Spiders are Arachnids, not insects."

I rolled my eyes, "You know what I mean."

The group stops as the tour lady introduces us to the latest display. It was just a stone tablet with the ancient Greek language on it. At the top of the tablet, was a sigil of a spider. Symbol of Arachne.

"This," The tour lady explained. "Is the latest discovery here in the museum. The Tablet of Arachne. As you can see, it has the spider sigil on it. It was found by an old tomb in one of the castles that remained standing in England. It was a very strange and mysterious finding. An ancient Greek Tablet found in a castle in England is quite strange. However, the tablet is even more interesting. The tablet contains words in ancient Greek about Lady Arachne; It talks about how she was a courageous woman who stood up against the gods and showed them how much humanity has grown. Our experts were able to translate only half of it along with the words that's under the sigil."

"What does it say?" One of the students asked.

"It says, 'Those who are worthy, shall be passed down with my gifts and bring vengeance to the gods. For mankind shall not bend to thou will. Olympus shall fall and man shall thrive.'"

That did not sound good.

"The rest of the tablet has still not been deciphered yet, but our experts will translate it as soon as possible. In the meantime, let us show you all some of our other displays of Ancient Greek lost treasures."

As the tour lady guided the group to the next display, Sam and I stayed, looking at the tablet.

"If my sister-in-law was here, she'd decipher the tablet instantly. She told me she understands Ancient Greek's language and is able to translate it easily."

"You think this tablet gives the reader abilities of Arachne?"

"What, like Spiderman?" I asked.

Sam gasps in excitement, "That'd be really awesome! I mean, swinging around New York; fighting bad guys; wearing cool costumes..."

As Sam talks about how great being Spider-Man is, I noticed something on the tablet. On the tablet, a spider just appeared behind the tablet, must have slipped in the display when they were sealing it. It was white with red eyes; it seems to have a symbol-like mark on its sack.

"Hey look Sam. A spider is on the Tablet of Arachne," I said, chuckling.

"Huh? What do you mean? There's nothing there."

I looked back at her.

"What? It's right there on top of the-"

As I looked back, the spider was already gone without a trace.

"What? It was just there!" I spoke.

"You probably just thought it was there, Stella. It happens."

I wanted to deny it, but it was not really a big deal, so I shrugged it off.

"You're probably right, let's head back with the group."

Sam nodded and we both started heading back. Then I saw a black feather slowly falling from the sky. I told Sam to look, and she saw it too.

"Looks like a bird got in. We should tell the security guard," Sam suggested toward the security guard that was nearby. I nodded and walked toward the guard and explained about there being a bird in the building. The security guard groaned.

"Another pigeon? Oh well, thanks for the heads-up kid. We'll take care of it."

I nodded and headed back with Sam.

Still, a couple things were odd that moment. The first was the spider disappearing even though the Tablet was sealed for display. The other was the black feather, it was too big to be a pigeon; yet there was no bird on the ceiling. I was probably still tired from last night watching Sword Art Online. I mean, seriously, I told myself only one episode and then I ended up watching the entire series in one night!

I fear that Sam is going to turn me into an Otaku too.

Later that day, we took a quick lunch break. Sam and I were relaxing by a small café inside of the museum.

"How's your dad doing?" I asked. Sam's dad is a detective in the NYPD, and he's been very strict for her safety. Something about them not being able to find her. Sam never understood why or who, but she didn't bother asking. Since he's the only family she has left. Her mother left them when she was young, yet her dad never hated her for it. Every time Sam asks about her mother, she never gets a straight answer.

"The usual, but he did say something important."

"Oh really, what's that?"

"...After the trip and when summer starts... he'll tell me about my mother..."

We sat there silently, processing what she said.

"That's great, you'll finally know about your mother!"

"Yeah but... what if she's not who I think she is? What if she's someone bad or evil or..."

Sam gripped tightly on her sandwich and finished her sentence, "What if she's dead?"

I gently grab her arm in reassurance.

"Whatever he tells you, it doesn't change anything. You're still you and your dad's still your dad. And we'll always be best friends, no matter what."

Sam smiled.

"Thanks, Stella. I really needed that."

"Hey, I got your back no matter- OW!"

I yelped in pain as I felt something bite me on my other hand. I lifted my hand and saw a spider on it. I smacked it off instantly.

"Are you okay?" Sam asked.

I nodded, "Yeah, I just got bitten by a spider!"

On my right hand, there was a big bite mark from the spider.

"I hope it's not poisonous," I said. "I really don't want to cause any trouble today."

Sam asked me to show it to her. She looks at the bite mark and sighs in relief.

"It's not, I can tell. You're going to be okay. Just rinse it with some water and you'll be okay."

I sighed in relief.

"Thanks, Sam. I'll never tease you about learning about Arachnids again."

Sam pouts, "They're really harmless so long as you don't mess up their homes! But you should get this washed off, don't want to be having an infection."

I nodded and headed off to the nearest bathroom to wash it clean. I always find it weird that Sam not only likes ancient history, but anime AND spiders. That would explain why she's very shy; back in elementary school, she was bullied for liking spiders. The boys would throw fake spider toys at her, making her be afraid of them or mock her for it. Of course, every time it happens, I intervene and stand up against the bullies.

I really hate bullies. They hurt my mother when she was young; they hurt my brother when he was young; and now my best friend is being bullied.

But she's not alone.

Still, there was something strange about the spider that bit me. It looked like the same one that was on the tablet. White with red eyes and a green symbol on it. But it can't be, the spider disappeared in the display, and it was sealed tight. There was no way that spider could have gotten out. In fact, it shouldn't even exist. It was supposed to be just an illusion from my sleep deprivation.

It was an illusion, right?

I shook it out of my head and when I just finished drying my hands off, I heard screaming.

I ran outside to see people running and screaming, while the security guards were trying to pin someone down, but they were too strong and threw them in the air.

Sam was under the table we were eating at earlier, hiding in fear of the commotion. I ran toward her and asked what happened.

"That thing just jumped on our table and tried to attack me!"

I look back at the suspect. What I saw was something I will never forget.

It had black wings as arms and sharp bird claws on its feet. It was like a giant bird, yet it had the face and body of a woman.

I recognized what it is instantly.

"A harpy!" I yelled.

"What? from the myths? But that's just stories! They're not real!"

The harpy turned around and looked at us and slowly walked towards us. Sam was frozen in fear, and I was trying to get her to move. Suddenly, the creature lifted the table out of the way and looked at us directly.

"...You..." it said, directly at me.

"Me?"

"Your smell... is similar to... I see..." The harpy started laughing, "I followed this girl because of what she truly is, and then I found you. A girl with a similar scent as him," it said.

"Who?" I asked.

The creature spoke with such hatred and fear.

"Percy Jackson."
