I want to talk about the power of recognition, the power of self-recognition.
Never wondered why we need recognition? The need to feel recognized. Why it is important?
We have a need to feel recognized because at a deep emotional and spiritual level, we are seeking to feel connect with what we already know of ourselves. We want our light and power that are already within to be seen.
The word recognition itself means ''to know again'' or ''to acknowledge as known'' in etymological terms.
We are seeking to know ourselves again. Our soul already knows who we are; recognition helps us to remember our lost and forgotten Self. We are seeking to acknowledge what is already known about ourselves; our light, our qualities, our gifts, our worth. We are seeking to recognize what our soul is here to be and give to the world. To remember all of it.
To recognize means to know our soul again in this unique lifetime. It is to know our birth again, but this time in this specific incarnation. To know again the existence of this new life that has been given to us! Recognition allows us to develop our self-awareness, our awareness of our value, our awareness of the love of who we are.
Recognizing is what gives us our strong convictions about ourselves so that we can acknowledge and affirm who we are.
Recognizing is our source of conviction because it is what allows us to believe in ourselves, to believe in our truth, to believe in what is already true within us. It is how we understand our value.
Our power of recognition gives us power in our beliefs; it activates the energy of our beliefs about ourselves. It energizes our awareness and understanding of self-worth! It empowered us.
Recognition starts with us first. Self-recognition is what matter the most. I believe that we can't expect others to recognize us if we don't recognize and acknowledge ourselves first.
