actually since you're the expert and all that. any tips for introducing blue to my work 'mons? i wasn't gonna but clatterclatter found pictures of him on my old phone and seemed kinda pissed off at not knowing who it was. work mons: clatterclatter obviously, scaredycat rhydon, and conniving bastard of a gastrodon. -shardy (@champion-level-astroturfing)

Wtf. Why is this the trifecta of the three most difficult types of intros. How have u done this.

Clatterclatter - is a ghost type, so we can't really do the 'intro through the gate' trick cuz it'll just...phase through it. But they do understand what photos are, I would say show him a few more of those and some of Blue's favorite toys to get em used to the idea before doing some supervised in person interaction.

Rhydon being a scaredy cat is baaaad because pokemon often attack or make rash decisions when they panic, which could obvi be bad for Blue. Give em lots of time to get used to Blue's smell with blankets and things, and introduce them waayyyy far apart so that they can peace out and not feel cornered. Let Rhydon approach if they show interest, but expect that to take a long time.

Clever + probably has never seen a glaceon before + potentially already jealous is also a hell of an issue. To be honest idk how to handle this one, I would say probably start with swapping blankets and toys and trying to make sure they don't feel shafted or threatened, but I've only briefly worked with Gastrodon before, and only the East Sea version so I'd maybe get a second opinion on that one.

Try to intro in a neutral space - not at work or home where one party is going to feel like they need to defend their territory. Also maybe this goes without saying, but bring home some of your work mons' stuff so that Blue can get used to them too. Be prepared to ball if anything starts to go wrong, and usually having another person present so that each mon can have one person looking over them is ideal, especially for starting far away.
