I discussed it briefly with a friend (@/iateyourburrito), but it really does stick with me how Peter reacted to Ben Urich's demise. He didn't want to go to the funeral, blamed Urich for all of it, because.. what else could he do?

He's 17, 6 months shy of having already lost Uncle Ben, only to lose yet someone else, and to something he once again has no control over. Perhaps it's easier to be angry at Urich rather than face the very real, very horribly messy and complex set of events that lead to his death. Peter's just a kid in that moment, and it's so much worse to face that Urich's death was a long time coming and reinforced by a deeply corrupt system that played into his cynicism and addiction. The very worst thing of all - this was no one person's fault, and had no easy solution.

And now he's gone.

Fast Food secret menus are a fucking wild ass concept to me. Like, on one hand you have a company directly saying "What if we had something on our menu so incredibly fucked up that even admitting we can make it would be a loss to our company? Wouldn't that be good business?" but on the other, far bigger hand, you have Bryce in Green Hills, Montana who was like "What if Burger King actually just sold a ham and cheese sandwich but was lying to us about its very existence?" at then that gets spread so far around the internet that it just becomes acceptable knowledge that if you go to a Burger King at dead of night and confirm you're not wired, they'll slide you some of that good good BK lunch meat on a burger bun. Meanwhile, that has literally never existed and never will, and yet kids all across America will tell fake stories to their friends at the lunch table about that time they ordered a McGangBang just to get more cred on the hard streets of the 4-6th grade playground.
