“your food’s getting cold.”
you look up at the worker, the current busboy wiping down and clearing tables, recognizing him immediately, mainly from the way your neck has to crane up further to meet the gaze from the taller individual. you don’t know what’s worse: getting stood up or being witnessed being stood up by someone — someone you know.
“i didn’t know you worked here,” you mumble, attempting to change the subject.
murasakibara atsushi is much smarter than that, though.
“‘got the job so i could save up for a car,” he answers nonchalantly before eying the appetizer dish in front of you. “do you not like it? i can send it back to the kitchen-”
“no, no! it’s perfect, thanks!” you quickly wave off, mustering up a polite smile. “i’m just ... waiting for someone.”
then it all clicks.
“oh,” murasakibara replies, swinging the damp towel he’s holding over his shoulder. “why’d you order before they came?” he raises an eyebrow.
he's wearing a dark outfit, black t-shirt with some black pants but theres a brown apron around his waist, slightly fade due to overuse and time
“i didn’t think he was gonna be late,” you grit, cheeks burning further at murasakibara's prodding gaze. seriously, doesn’t this guy have something else to do then join you in your pity bubble? where's that other guy he's always hanging around, what's his name, himuro?
“you’ve been here since seven, no?”
“what’s it to you, stalker?” you chuckle humorously, finding it rather odd that your classmate was aware of your presence.
“nothing, restaurant’s dead on thursdays so you’re the only one in here minus three other families and i’m just about bored out of my mind, looking for stuff to do.”
you hum in acknowledgment. “you could sit if you’re not gonna get in trouble.” you gesture toward the other side of the booth, empty.
murasakibara doesn’t say anything, just swiftly sliding into the seat across from you. at your raised brow, he waves his arm in a direction toward the back of the restaurant. “i know the owner, he’s a family friend so i seriously don’t think he’d mind if i took a quick break.”
“lucky you,” you muse, playing with the utensils beside your appetizer.
“you should honestly eat that,” murasakibara says, nodding toward your dish, “your date’s loss, to be fair.”
“i didn’t say it was a date,” you quip back quickly, glancing up at the purple haired in slight amusement. maybe without his company you’d be wallowing in self pity so you’re grateful for the distraction.
“well, is it not?”
“it is,” you confirm anyway, making the man chuckle. you never saw murasakibara in this sort of light; you’ve only ever saw him on the basketball court, attending games with your friends to cheer for whichever one they had a crush on (no exception to murasakibara of course!), dozing off in class or trudging throughout the school halls, always looking sleep deprived. “why do you care?”
“didn’t i answer that question already?” he asks with a deadpan. “boring thursday.”
“ri-ight,” you drawl out, looking at him unbelievingly. “comfort the girl who got stood up during the late shift, that’s exactly what i’d do,” you mutter out sarcastically, puckering your lips at the situation you’re in.
“hey, no comfort,” murasakibara quickly clarifies. “i know cho the chef would be upset when I give back your fully made dish to be washed at close. so i’m just looking out for my coworker.”
“right, you’re looking out for cho…”
“cho the chef, yes.”
“because he’d be upset.”
“devastated.”
you click your tongue at him, waiting for the busboy to show any waver but murasakibara atsushi’s resting face is nothing to fight against. he naturally looks tired and unfazed so it's even harder to read him now.
at your pause, murasakibara slyly nudges your plate toward. “so eat.”
“you eat it if you’re so worried about your chef’s feelings,” you laugh, well aware of his appetite anyway. you're pretty sure he's more of a snack eater but food is food, right?
“only if you eat some."
you gape at his serious tone. was he normally like this? you didn't really speak much to the star athlete, only ever sharing a classroom and maybe exchanging few words if you were paired for class work.
you don’t give a snarky remark nor refuse his deal, glumly picking up some food and bringing it to your lips with a utensil, only to feel warmer from the good taste.
“tell cho he’s talented,” you sigh in satisfaction, smile lifting your cheeks as the man in front of you give you a pointed i told you so expression.
murasakibara follows suit, taking the other utensils, the ones made for your date had he showed, and digging in as well. his bites are larger than yours, making you seem to eat like a bird.
“yep, cho’s got it,” he hums in agreement, leaning back in his seat as more color washes over his face. maybe food was the pick-me-up he needed to rid of that serious expression; he smiles easily, drooping eyes becoming slightly more lively.
"so you've been working here a while?" you ask, in between taking another bite.
he nods, chewing his food on one side of his mouth, making one side resemble a chipmunk's. hm, cute. "a few months now. thought it'd be boring but i get to snack freely during my shift so i'm not complaining."
"i'm sure you like that perk," you snort, lips curling up in an amused smile.
the much taller man quirks a brow at that, as if egging you to go on, questioning what you meant.
"i see you in school with heaps of convenience store snacks every day, i can assume you have a big appetite."
"didn't know you were so observant of me," murasakibara muses with a mischievous look in his eye. he leans forward, propping his elbows on the hardwood table.
"didn't think you were observant of me either, but here we are," you fire back, arching your brow back at him, proud of your rebut.
"touche," is all he replies, slouching back once more.
"you're also one of the most well known athletes of our school so there's that, too," you murmur out, recalling one of the few games you've attended with the seven footer center playing. albeit, he's a rather nonchalant player, there's no doubt he has talent.
he doesn't reply to that, choosing to take another large bite of food, humming in satisfaction. you lightly smile at that, the way his eyes close blissfully and he slowly chews as if savoring the taste.
soon enough, your once full appetizer tray is empty, the only remnants being a few crumbs that murasakibara's struggling to pick up with his utensil.
"thanks for that," you mumble, pursing your lips as you remember the circumstance of this spontaneous interaction.
"for what?" he asks, looking up.
you roll your eyes, biting back a smile. "the non-comfort. it was... nice."
"shouldn't let good food go to waste," he says simply, looking around the empty restaurant. it seems that the few tables that were occupied have since departed, leaving murasakibara to complete his duties of the night shift. he looks back at you, eyes softening at the smile you're trying to hide. "also, like i said, their loss."
you slightly pout, nodding slowly, accepting his reassurance. "thanks ... again."
"i could offer you a better date, i bet," he says out of nowhere, appearing nonchalant as he begins gathering the plate and used utensils to bring to the back.
your eyes widen a bit at that and you tilt your head to the side. "re-really?" curse your stammers, you think with a flush of your cheeks. or maybe you're flushed because you're being so casually asked out by murasakibara atsushi, a man you never thought would notice your presence.
"yeah," he shrugs. he stands then, lifting the plate from the table. just as he's about to leave, he says, "if it's here. you won't have to worry about me flaking either. i work here after all."
you laugh at that, a genuine laugh bubbling in your throat, remnants of your negative mood from your stood up-date dissipating. "sure, murasakibara, i'll take you up on that."

hellooo, This rq is special to me since I recently lost my best friend in a tragic car accident, our dynamic was like Black cat x golden retriever she was outgoing affectionate and a sunshine while me being the closed off tsundere resting bitch face type of gal sunshine x sunshine protector if you will, it really broke me when I heard the news and I've been trying to recover anyways my ask, can you do something similar with the GoM+kagami+himuro reacting to seeing their fem s/o being so emotional for the first time bc of the loss of her best best friend? angst with comfort pls if you can
First and foremost, you have my deepest condolences for your loss, anon. I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. Grief is one hell of an emotion and I hope you are taking all the time you need to reground yourself and heal. I hope the scenarios help even just a bit. Admin Neon
Tumblr media
It had been weeks. Weeks of putting on the mask. Weeks of pushing down the bubbling emotions in the pit of your stomach. Weeks of bottling it in. He had thought, maybe, you were already starting to heal.
But he was smarter than that and he knew a break down was eminent. It wasn't healthy to pretend for so long; to ignore the nagging ache. So one day when you paused mid-laughter, a wobble to your lip and tears collecting in your eyes, he wasn't surprised when that flood of emotions finally crashed upon you.
Kuroko: Out in public, he quietly ushers you toward a quieter spot, guiding you with one hand while the other rubbed gentle circles onto your back. Vaguely, you hear him murmuring out encouraging words, none of them telling you to stop crying. He knows you need this.
When the two of you stop walking, he pulls you into a hug, shielding you from the world's prying eyes. "I'm here for you," he murmurs into your hair.
Kagami: Time seems to freeze for him when your first hiccup reaches his ears. For a moment, he's unsure why you're suddenly crying. Realization comes when you hiccup again, following it with a broken sob. No matter where you are, he instantly pulls you to him, engulfing you in a hug so tight, you have to push back to breathe.
Never good with his words, Kagami doesn't say anything the entire time he holds you. But he never lets go either. Not until you're okay.
Kise: The second tears start to well up in your eyes, he also feels hot tears prick at his. A sympathy crier, his tears start to roll down his cheeks before yours even leave your lashes. Despite that, he knows you're the one who's aching.
He coos your name as he pulls you into a hug. He's not great with comforting words, so ends up babbling a bit, but one point does get across. "It's okay to cry."
Aomine: He feels a bit whiplashed after seeing you go from bubbly laughter to sobbing. He doesn't allow himself the time to ponder however, moving on instinct as he pulls you off to the side to have a seat somewhere quiet.
Sitting next to you, Aomine tugs you closer until your head is resting on his shoulder. He doesn't say much of anything, hoping his presence would be enough of a comfort.
Midorima: He's prepared, pulling out a handkerchief from his pocket. Midorima helps you wipe at the tears rolling down your eyes, face poised in a practiced expression of calm.
His voice is quiet, calming, when he speaks to you. "Let's bring you somewhere more private," he coaxes, lulling you into security knowing he would be there to support you through the emotions to come.
Murasakibara: He has the foresight to block the rest of the world's view of you, shielding you with his body. Leaning over you, he places one hand on the top of your head. His hand is still, unlike the little tussle he would normally give your hair.
There's not much he can think of to say, so Murasakibara chooses to stay quiet as he keeps you close, waiting out your tears. When they finally subside, you're rewarded with his smile.
Himuro: He places his jacket, heavy on your shoulders, over you. With it, it brings the scent of his cologne and the warmth borrowed from his skin. He helps you pull it closer as the sobs wrack your body.
The warmth of his jacket is amplified when Himuro wraps his arms tightly around you, shushing gently into your hair. "It's going to be okay," he promises in a whisper, rocking you gently by the sway of his heal. "It's gunna be okay one day."
Akashi: A single look from him and the staff that had been occupying his dining room immediately gave the two of you some privacy. With curious eyes gone, he's quick to pull you up into his arms, holding you in an embrace that wanted to hold you together as you fell apart.
Akashi knows the pain you are feeling now, having lived through it once himself. He knows words mean little right now. He only hopes his actions convey every ounce of love and aching he has for you.

ADLUTS PLEASE DO NOT READ. IM A MINOR AND THE CHARACTER IS LIKE 15 AT THE TIME IM WRITING ABOUT SO PLEASE DONT READ UT MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE
Just posting this bc I figured I wanted to have it somewhere. Just some fluff for the start of a relationship with Murasakibara <3
Warnings: x reader, fluff, not proofread bc I wrote this as my practice writing for an English assessment
Your friendship with Murasakibara Atsushi had always been different to your other friendships. You two met at the start of the year in your shared math class. You got there somewhat early, picking out a desk somewhere in the classroom. All of you were first years at high school, and you didn’t have any friends attending the school, so instead of socialising you doodled in your workbook while you waited for class to start.
By the time class had started no one had taken the seat next to you. Not that it mattered too much, you didn’t expect to rock up on the first day of school and be the most popular kid there, but some company would have been nice.
A knock on the classroom door takes you out if your thoughts. The door opens and the tallest man you’ve ever seen walks through the door, ducking so he doesn’t hit his head on the doorframe. He had long hair and the expression on his face made it look like he would kill everyone in that classroom for an extra moment of sleep.
“Mr Murasakibara, you’re late.” The teacher said, staring up at the giant man in front of them. “Take a seat.”
He giant boy starts walking towards you and takes his spot in the empty seat next to you. You can’t help but stare at him a little, not only is he massively tall, he’s also very well built for a highschooler. He almost looked like a real athlete.
“You okay?” You hear him ask. You look up to meet his eyes.
“What? Oh- yeah I’m fine, sorry. First day back at school, I’m tired from having to wake up so early. I’m Y/n, by the way.”
He grinned. “I’m Murasakibara. And looked on the bright side, at least you actually made it out of bed before class started. I couldn’t even do that, got chewed out for being late.” He said, reaching into his bag to grab out some snacks.
“We’re allowed to eat in class?” You asked.
“I dunno. Probably not, but I’m hungry. Want some?” He offered, and wouldn’t it be too rude to turn him down?
So that was the start to your friendship with the large scary purple guy. Outside of basketball with Himuro it turned out he had no real friends at school, so the two of you spent a lot time together.
“Y/n-chin, did you hear about the new bakery that opened up not far from school? Muro-chin said it’s within walking distance of school, we should check it out.” Atsushi said to you while you two walked through the halls.
“That sounds great, are you free after school?” You ask, and he nods in response. “Perfect, sounds like we have a date then.” You say with a grin
“A date?” Murasakiabara said, pausing in the hallway.
“Um uh sorry, I didn’t mean it like that, it’s just an expression.” You begin to ramble “I didn’t mean that we should- you know-“
“Would you like it to be a date?” Atsushi asks. You turn to him, face bright pink.
“Would you Atsushi?” You asked, and he nodded in response.
“I’d like that a lot.”
You smile either delight. “Then it’s a date! I have languages, see you after school then”
Atsushi smiled to himself as he saw you disappear down ether hallway, a rare smile across his face.“I’ll see you then.”
When I tell you that languages session was the longest class you’d ever taken. It felt like years before it was finally over.
You stood by the school gate, playing with the straps of your bag to occupy yourself until you saw a man two heads taller than every other student walking towards you. “Are we ready?” you ask with a smile, and he nods as you two head off in the direction.
After a few minute of walking in silence Atsushi pipes up. “Um, Y/n-chin, this is a a proper date right?”
“I hope hope.” You day with a smile
“Can I hold your hand while we walks then?” He asked, facing away from you as he said it, clearly embarrassed.
“I’d love to.” You say, grabbing his hand while you two walk. “Oh my god you hands are giant,” you say, brining your hands up close to your face so you could measure them against each other properly. “How do you exist with hands so big?”
“How do you exist with hands so small?” He asked, turning the question nack into you.
“Very comfortably, thank you very much.” You swid. “Oh, I think we’re here.”
The two of you go stand by the counter, staring at the display of cakes and pastries in front of you. “They all look so good, it hard to pick just one.” You say.
“Then don’t. I’m definitely eating more than one.” Atsushi said.
“Some of us don’t have unlimited snack budgets.” You say, shoving him lightly as you tease.
The two of you eventually decided on what you were having and went to sit down at the table with your treats.
“Slow down Atsushi! At this rate you’re going to finish all of yours before I even get halfway through mine.”
“But ‘m hungry.” He says, mouth stuffed full of eclair. On you face you feign a look of disappointment, but the bright smile on your face and light blush disgiungere your features gave you away. You couldn’t help but think Atsushi looked so happy like this, so cute like this.
The two of you stayed at the pastry shop for quite a while that afternoon, even long after both of you had finished your deserts. You talked about everything there was to talk about; school, home, classes, but when the conversation shifted to basketball the mood changed.
“I’ve heard from Himuro that you’re like- one of the best basketball players in Japan for our age group.”
“I am. When you’re built like me it makes the sport pretty easy.” He says, “Almost boring. But I prefer that to actually facing a challenge- I hate loosing.”
You couldn’t help but laugh slightly. “What’s so funny?” Atsushi asked.
“Sometimes you feel like a sulky child. You spend so much time training at the basketball club, surely you have to enjoy the sport to do all that.” You say. Atsushi remained silent, seemingly deep in thought. “I wanna come along and watch your next game. I’ve never seen you play before, I wanna watch a miracle in action.”
“You really don’t have to come if you don’t want. Basketball’s boring while playing it, j can’t imagine how much worse it must be from the stands.”
“Nonsense, if you’re playing how could I ever get bored? I don’t know all t ha much about basketball, but I wanna cheer you on!” You say enthusiastically.
Atsushi smiled. “I guess I’ll have to actually try next game, I wanna impress you.” He says, causing you to blush and hide your face.
“Don’t say stuff like that, or I’ll go red as a tomatoe.” You say with a pout, moving your fingers out of the way of your eyes so you could still her him.
“Y/n-chin? This is a real date right?” Atsushi asks, and you give him a confused look in response.
“Yeah? We already said that.”
“So we can do things people would normally do on a date, right?”
The look on your face only grew more confused. “What are you getting at Atsushi?”
“Can I kiss you?” He asks, his eyes meeting yours, and though his face didn’t show much expression you could see light pink coating his cheeks.
His question caught you off guard, it’s something you definitely weren’t expecting him to ask. Can he kiss you? What are you even think of course he can! You wanted nothing more in that moment! “Yes, yes yes of course Atsushi.you say, scotching your chair around so the two of you were sitting closer together.
You gently placed your hand on his cheek and Atsushj smiled in response, before his eyes fluttered shut and he leaned into you, your lips meeting. Your first thought was that he tasted like custard tart, and your second was more focused on how much you loved the feeling of his lips against yours. He was being so gentle, as if he thought you were so delicate if he made a wrong move you would shatter. And with the size and strength difference between the two of you perhaps he was right.
Eventually your lungs forced you to pull away, and you could see Atsushi’s eyes lazily flutter open. He looked so flustered. You knew he wasn’t exactly a player, you couldn’t once think of a time he’d told you about a past partner of his.
“Have you ever dated anyone before?” You asked.
“Why, am I so bad at kissing you could tell?” Atsushi said, and you scrambled to apologise.
“No no no, you’re a great kisser, incredible actually, and you taste like custard tart. I was just curious because we’ve been friends for about a month now and you’ve never mentioned anything about any exs.”
“My friend Kise set me up with a girl in middle school qnd we dated for a whole 4 days, but I haven’t had any other partners outside of that.”
“Well let’s add to that then. Atsushi, if you’d have me, I’d like you to be my boyfriend.”
“Only if you’ll be my partner too.” He says, smiling in response. “Coming to this bakery was the best decision I’ve made in a long time.”

Kurobas Valentine’s Day Event 2020 Day 6: KagaKuro
I am sorry for posting late just because I am quite distracted and I can’t seem to finish this fic lol. But without further ado, I present to you the fan fave pairing, KagaKuro <3
Many thanks to @vanilla-daydreams and @theuglycrybaby for the prompt ( ˘ ³˘)♥
Tumblr media
Day 6 Prompt: Stars/I’m flattered, you’re jealous. (KagaKuro side MuraHimu)
Title: Valentines’ Wish
Summary: Kuroko doesn’t know whether to get pissed or be happy when Kagami-kun finally has the balls to ask him for a date with a catch, of course.
Rating: T for cursing
Also on Ao3
The sky is glowing hues of red and orange as the sun is beautifully setting off and Tetsuya, of all his sixteen years of existence, has never felt so content. He might not show is on his facade but he knows his feelings better than anyone. Well, maybe, except for Kagami-kun. After all, he is his shadow and he is his light.
The truth is, they have been going out for more than two months after they play Yosen in the quarter-finals. For the most part, they don’t actually make it obvious that they are together, save for those few friends that actually know. In the Seirin team, only Furihata-kun knows because he accidentally walks in on them in the locker room after practice when Kagami-kun is about to kiss him on the lips. He feels a little bit guilty because the poor guy couldn’t look at them in the eyes for two weeks straight. When asked if they’re together, Tetsuya just gives him his usual poker face but he neither deny nor admit. But it is so evidently obvious though.
He glances at the taller boy who is walking beside him. It’s not the first time he has noticed that he has broad shoulders and psyche to die for. On the other hand, he looks like a wimpy kid when he’s beside him. But Tetsuya doesn’t care. He knows where the taller boy’s loyalty lies.
“Hey, Kuroko.” His line of thinking is suddenly interrupted when Kagami-kun speaks. He looks up at the taller boy in question.
“Alex gave me tickets to the planetarium and I am thinking if you’d like to go...with me?” He looks away from him with a small blush adorning his face.
Tetsuya stares at the taller boy with his usual blank expression but nonetheless, his eyes are showing a surprised expression. “Kagami-kun...are you finally going to ask me out for a date after two months of dating?”
Kagami chokes on his breath, his blush getting intense by each moment. Tetsuya does nothing and just stares impassively at him.
“S-Shut up, Kuroko! Do you want to go or not?!”
He lets out a breath of frustration. Really, when is Kagami-kun going to be honest with his feelings but not without getting embarrassed? Probably, the taller boy is also thinking about their personal time together since they haven’t gotten any between school and club practice. Although they go after practice at Maji Burger sometimes, which they have been doing ever since they have gotten together so he really won’t count it as a date. More like after school hang out as well as the fact that they are rarely alone because the second years or the first-year trio are coming with them from time to time. And as far as he can remember, the only time that they can be alone is during the time that he will help Kagami-kun with his studies just because their senpais have given up and thus, Kagami-kun is left on his mercy.
He looks up again at the taller boy after the initial shock and says, “Alright. I’ll go but really, Kagami-kun. You should’ve asked way earlier.”
He scratches his head in embarrassment and looks away. “Yeah....that’s what Alex says.”
He raises his eyebrow in annoyance. Really, Bakagami-kun?  “So, if Alex-san didn’t talk to you about it, you wouldn’t have done so at all?”
“S-Shut up, Kuroko. Of course, I would. It’s just that....Ican’tseemtosayanythingwhenIknowIhavetobeembarrasedaboutit.” Kuroko just smiles at the taller boy but says nothing, noting that he has agitated him enough. Together, they just walk in silence until they reach his house.
“Meet me tomorrow at 9 am at the station.” It is all Kagami-kun has said before he quickly pats his head and bails out. He doesn’t even have the time to say thank you and good night. But tomorrow will be a good day, he thinks. He’s just hoping that Kagami-kun should stop being easily embarrassed all the time. But honestly, he is excited. After all, this is going to be their first date and he hopes that nothing can go wrong.
-x-
The next day arrives and Tetsuya wakes up in anticipation. He does his morning routine and picks out a nice pair of black pants and a long-sleeve white sweatshirt. He looks at the mirror, feeling satisfied with his appearance and heads out after saying goodbye to his grandmother and parents.
When he reaches the station, he instantly sees the taller boy by the clock outside the station. He greets Kagami-kun and then they proceed to the planetarium. When they arrive, Tetsuya gets the shock of his life when he sees Murasakibara-kun and Himuro-san by the entrance as Kagami-kun waves at them.
“Yo, Tatsuya! Did you wait long?” Kagami-kun greets them happily when they are finally close.
Himuro-san shakes his head and says, “We actually just got here. Hello, Kuroko-kun.” He greets him with a smile. Meanwhile, Kuroko is still rooted behind Kagami-kun as he tries to process the situation. So the date that Kagami-kun is talking about is a double date?! How in the world Bakagami-kun is able to think of it as a good idea? He doesn’t know whether to laugh at the situation or get pissed.
“Ne, Muro-chin, why do we have to go on a double date with them? You drag me here in Tokyo just to see Kagami.” Murasakibara-kun whines as he munches on his potato chips. “But hello, Kuro-chin.”
That is exactly my thoughts too, Murasakibara-kun. Tetsuya silently thinks. Thinking that he is getting rude for the greeting the other couple, he gives Kagami-kun a glare first that can be translated to die.
“Hello, Murasakibara-kun, Himuro-san.”
He sees Kagami-kun gulps but with a confusion swirling around his eyes. He looks away from him and says, “Let’s go in now. I have the tickets.”
Kagami-kun and Himuro-san walk ahead of them, leaving him with Murasakibara-kun. He hears the purple head groans in frustration and Tetsuya just sighs in defeat.
“Ne, Kuro-chin, why can’t we say no to them?”
“I honestly don’t know, Murasakibara-kun.”
Himuro-san turns to them and softly yells so they can hear him, “Kuroko-kun, Atsushi, let’s go!”
Both of them just look at each other and sigh in defeat as they painfully follow the brothers.
-x-
This is not what I want for a date! Tetsuya yells frustratingly in his mind. They’ve been going around the planetarium for less than an hour and Tetsuya just wants to go home. Might you ask why? It is because he is left alone with Murasakibara-kun who keeps cursing Kagami-kun under his breath for monopolizing his Muro-chin. The two brothers are currently in awe and obviously excited as they go ahead of them in every part of the planetarium, as they passionately argue in every single thing that they can find ranging from planets, stars, milky way, and the galaxy. Kuroko just watches them but he can’t help but feel jealous of Himuro-san. He definitely understands that he is and will always be the older brother figure in Kagami-kun’s life, however, he feels that Himuro-san knows Kagami-kun far better than him. He sometimes wishes that he can be Murasakibara-kun who has no filter on his mouth and will say whatever he wants even if he is offending the other person. He knows that Murasakibara-kun still doesn’t like Kagami-kun because of the fact the Himuro-san is close to him. In a way, he can understand the purple head’s reasoning as he sometimes feels the same way. He also knows that Himuro-san loves Murasakibara-kun so much so he is not at all worried. How ironic, isn’t it? But still, sometimes he can’t help but feel jealous of their closeness. Himuro-san is a very nice person and he has actually gotten close to him but the those negative thoughts are usually creeping in without him intending to do so. His thoughts are interrupted when he hears his company speaks, “Ne, Kuro-chin, do you want to go to the cafe here? I saw it earlier by the entrance. Looks like we’re not needed here.” He looks at the two brothers to see that Kagami-kun is taking a photo of Himuro-san by the Jupiter planet display. He can also see that Murasakibara-kun is pouting as it is obvious that he is puffing his cheeks in annoyance.
“That’s a really good idea, Murasakibara-kun. I need a vanilla milkshake.”
-x-
Taiga and Tatsuya are currently having a blast. It is their first time in a planetarium and they can’t help but feel excited like little kids who just have their first field trip. Taiga actually calls Tatsuya because Alex has given him four tickets and says that the other two are for Tatsuya and that childish giant he calls his boyfriend. When he asks Tatsuya about it, he instantly agrees. He feels a little bit guilty though. He forgets to mention to Kuroko that this is actually a double date. He can see the sour look on the smaller boy’s face when he sees Tatsuya and Murasakibara.
“Hey, Taiga. I can feel that Kuroko-kun doesn’t really want to be here. Did you even tell him that Atsushi and I are gonna tag along?” Tatsuya asks him as he takes a photo of him by the Saturn planet display.
He stops on his track and looks at Tatsuya. “W-Well, I didn’t...I didn’t get a chance actually.”
He sees Tatsuya thunks for a bit. “Tell me, is this your first date together?”
He blushes before he answers, “Y-Yeah, you can say that.”
He hears Tatsuya then clicks his tongue as he glares at him. “You...just make a stupid move, Taiga!”
“How is this stupid?”
“Of course, if this is gonna be your first date, I am sure as hell that Kuroko-kun will want to have some quality time alone with you. Even Atsushi is quite pissed when I tell him that you and Kuroko-kun are gonna come with us. If not for me convincing him that I have to use an extreme method like a really good blindfold se-“
“Fuck you, Tatsuya! I don’t want to hear it.”
“...then he won’t agree to come at all. And Taiga, fuck you too! Don’t interrupt me when I’m giving you lessons about dating.”
“Well, excuse me for not having a thick face like you.”
“Excuse me too, for not having eyebrows like you.”
“At least, I don’t have a big dick getting shoved up in my ass.”
“At least, I’m not a virgin.” Tatsuya smugly says to him as he feels his face hot from embarrassment. This fucking guy always knows my weakness. Taiga silently curses Tatsuya as he looks on the ground.
“Cmon, Tai.” His flirt of an older brother tries to console him. “I think it’s time for us to separate, at least both of our babies will be happy.”
“Yeah. Thanks, bitch.”
“No worries, asshole.”
They look behind them for Kuroko and Murasakibara but are surprised when the two are nowhere to be found.
“Tatsuya!!! They’re missing!” He panics a little. Murasakibara is easy to find however, it will be harder to find Kuroko. Shit, I think he is really mad at me.
The two brothers look at each other, nod and scram. Panic is embracing his whole system as he tries to find Kuroko. He fishes out his phone as he dials Kuroko’s number but the little brat turns off his phone. Getting frustrated, he tries to go outside for he has been through every nooks and corner of the planetarium but he still hasn’t found his shadow.  He takes out his phone again and dials Tatsuya’s number instead. After two rings, he answers. “Tai! I found them. They’re here at the cafe by the entrance of the planetarium.”
Quickly, he dashes towards the said cafe and sighs in relief as he sees Kuroko peacefully sipping his milkshake as if nothing happens. This brat!
It is Kuroko who sees him approaching first. He pulls the empty seat beside Kuroko and slumps himself. “Hello, Kagami-kun.”
“Kuroko! Where the hell have you been? We’re worried about you two.” He doesn’t receive any answer as the smaller boy just continues sipping his vanilla milkshake all the while avoiding looking at him. He looks at Murasakibara who is like a little kid with his head down as Tatsuya is scolding him.
“But, I want to spend tome with Muro-chin. Kagami has been monopolizing you a lot.” He hears Murasakibara whines. Tatsuya just sighs as he pats his boyfriend’s head and looks at him.
“Taiga, I guess it’s time to go on separate ways here. Knowing Atsushi, he won’t stop throwing his tantrum until he gets what he wants.” Tatsuya smiles at him in apology and he nods. He still can’t believe that his older brother who always gets into a fight with thugs back in LA is actually so spoiling and soft towards his giant teddy bear.
“Okay, I understand.”
The couple then stands and bid them goodbye but not without Tatsuya giving him the look.
“Thanks for today, Kuroko-kun, Taiga. And sorry for the trouble.”
“Bye, Kuro-chin. Kagami, change your eyebrow. It’s annoying~”
He abruptly stands up as he yells, “Shut up, you titan!”
“Don’t be like that, Atsushi. It’s one of Taiga’s uniqueness.” Tatsuya chuckles in amusement as he gets red. Fucking older brother.
Meanwhile, Kuroko is just looking at the interaction. He bids the two goodbyes as they go to the other direction where there are lots of sweet shops. He looks at the smaller boy after the other two is out of their sight and says, “Hey, Kuroko...I am sorry.”
Finally, Kuroko looks at him. “For what?”
“Y-you know for dragging you in a double date. And I forgot to mention it.”
“Hmm...”
“Are you listening at all?”
“Yeah, I am. It’s alright Kagami-kun. You should’ve told me ahead for I am actually looking forward to this.”
“I can’t say anything to that. It’s my fault. Sorry.”
“You’re forgiven. I am also sorry for disappearing suddenly. I am a..bit...jealous.”
“Huh? Of what?”
“Of your closeness with Himuro-san.”
Taiga chokes on his breath as he looks at Kuroko in shock, not really understanding how in the world is Kuroko will get jealous of his older brother. “With Tatsuya? You know that he’s my older brother and we’ve been through so much. Y-You don’t have to be jealous of him. It’s clearly platonic and he already has that giant teddy bear as his boyfriend.”
“Not of himself but of your closeness. It feels like he knows you better than I do and I want to know more about you in a deeper sense so I can actually share the same excitement as you do with him.”
He finally understands what Kuroko is trying to say. He can’t help but swell with happiness as he replies, “You know, I still can’t understand how can you say such embarrassing words with a blank face.”
“I’ve always been like this.”
He chuckles lightly as he messes the small boy's hair, “I’m flattered, you’re jealous. But really, we have all the time to ourselves to get to know more each other deeper.”
Kuroko removes his hand from his head and faces him as he gives him a small smile. “So, Kagami-kun, do you want to start over again with the date?”
He grins at him and says, “You bet!”
Omake
Valentines’ day comes and Kuroko finally gets the date that he wants. They are about to go home but they decide to stop by the park nearby that is facing the Rainbow Bridge. Since it’s already dark, they will be able to see all the beautiful colors that light up the bridge. They are currently sitting on the bench as Kuroko looks up at the sky being adorned by the stars. As he is basking himself at the beauty of the endless galaxy, he abruptly stands up as he sees a shooting star and tells the taller boy beside him.
“Kagami-kun, look, a shooting star.” The taller boy looks up too and becomes in awe. Kuroko closes his eyes and makes a wish as does Kagami-kun. When he opens his eyes, he notices that the taller boy is looking at him with a grin plastered on his face.
“What did you wish?”
He glances at him impassively and says, “I wish that Kagami-kun would groom his eyebrows.”
His grin is instantly wiped out of his face as Kuroko laughs at him.
But really, what he really wishes is:
To be Kagami-kun’s shadow until the end.
NOTE: Uh, yeah. That’s the sixth installment for you all. Hope you guys like it! I really have fun doing this prompt especially the interaction between the brothers. Thank you for reading <3

conveniently — h. tatsuya;
pairing: himuro tatsuya x gender neutral reader.
genre: a bit of angst, fluff, comedy.
words: 2.504
warnings: none.
request: Anonymous asked: Hi) Can I request a fic where Himuro tries to get the attention of his crush (this is s/o). But s/o hates popular guys. Good luck, darling😘
Tumblr media
something that has crossed your mind a lot lately: a pair of gray-black eyes from behind the curtain of a left side-swept fringe is not a gaze that feels nice when they lock eyes with you. and boy do the eyes lock with you a lot. it makes no sense even, he is the IT boy — the jock, the athlete (someone who gets revered even by the Generation of Miracles themselves), has lived in America, is fittingly 6′0″ and is counted as the pride of the education institution, while you are a nobody. you are not the popular one, nor the geek, nor the nerd, even less the cheerleader. you are just you and yet it feels different when those particular set of eyes lock eyes with you.
you cannot help but scoff, he has the arrogant aura about him — the type who probably thinks he can just sleep with anyone he wants. well, he probably can but how dare he see you with the same lens, you find it revolting and offensive. not everyone is like one of his gazillion fans who just want to be seen in the same room as him.
one might think that the guy who was originally a part of Generation of Miracles, murasakibara atsushi would be more popular within the grounds of yosen high. however, much to the contrary, himuro tatsuya is the one who is popular, the obvious narcissist of the legendary duo, who just would not shut up about the amount of love letters he receives whenever he opens his locker. who the hell cares about how many letters he is receiving? and yet, it always feels like he talks louder when he is passing by you or when you are sitting in the same classroom as him. as if to brag but his facial expressions are in complete contrast — he never looks like the person who is self-satisfied with the fact that he receives so much attention. his face lacks the usual smug of a self-centred person but the words leaving his mouth speak otherwise. you feel conflicted and confused by his poker face. his features, at times, seem so emotionless that you are not sure if you should feel bad for the people who sent him the letters in hopes because he is clearly humiliating them or you should feel about him the same way that you do — he is a jock.
why are you thinking so much about him, though? shaking your head, you turned your head back to the english notebook splayed out on the desk in front of you. blocking out the noise from himuro bragging about the attention to the other guys, you tried to focus on the lessons that are important for the upcoming test. it was a free period and the assigned teacher had left you all to your devices.
you were trying to make a list of the important phrasal verbs when an arm wrapping around your shoulder caught you off-guard. you were not startled, however, as you know to whom it belonged; atsushi murasakibara.
“y/n-chin, let’s get some udon noodles from the canteen.”
“atsu-kun, the test is in two days. don’t you think it’s high time to think about something other than food?” you retorted back causing atsushi to break into a chuckle softly. him and not thinking about food? hilarious.
atsushi and you know each other since you were kids. the first time, you had met — it was probably in the playground near your house. your parents had kindly asked you to not go to the playground because it was a bit far from your house but you were a four-year old — what were they possibly expecting? of course, you rebelled and made your way all the way to the playground feeling like an adult. having reached, you saw a bunch of kids playing. further upon noticing, the swing set, you immediately rushed towards it without checking your left and right sides (as has been reminded by your parents thousands of times) and bumped into a tall kid who was in the process of kicking a ball and the kick went up your ass, sending you face first into the ground. you felt like crying, you really did because it hurt like shit. instead, you stood right back up and grabbed the boy by the collar, trying desperately to keep your tears at bay and to maintain your composure but you could not bring yourself say anything and slowly let go off his collar. the boy timidly reached inside his pocket to grab the packet of pocky and sat down on the empty swing adjacent to yours. it surprised you, even as a kid, that another kid of the same age as you is so mature and is offering you his candy. to your four-year old mind, that counted as being a mature adult. you knew at once that you must become friends with the tall kid and learn his secrets (because you had this childish notion that you could rule over your parents if you were also as mature as them).
atsushi and you have been friends ever since. the type of friendship which often gets labelled as the “best friends” kind but neither of you ever bothered to label it. your friendship is pure, you care about each other, help each other out and that is all that matters. to keep the rest of the students at bay, you refuse to ever discuss atsushi or being seen with him in public but he does not give a rat’s ass. by lunch time, like a diligent puppy, he is always by your side.
you enjoy his companionship but ever since himuro has stepped foot in this high school and subsequently your uneventful life, you do not look forward towards lunchtime as much. this guy would not let you have one thing to yourself. the school is always buzzing about him, the televisions out on display in stores are always showing him in some match or the other (of course, they are broadcasting the whole match but you only see himuro. how convenient), and now he is stealing that one person who you call your one true friend. what is his problem? why cannot he just leave you and your senses alone? speaking of senses, is that the revolting cologne of himuro that you are smelling?
sniffing, you noticed that himuro has conveniently situated himself beside atsushi.
“i am craving some udon too!” himuro tatsuya exclaimed with a smile, might i add.
he does this every time. he would not just you alone with atsushi as if he is your boyfriend or something. how scandalous! to be his love interest, ugh. just the thought alone gives you the heebie-jeebies.
“you guys go ahead,” you mumbled, burying your head back in the book.
atsushi grabbed the top of your head and closed the book with his free hand, “you cannot say no to me, y/n-chin. you never have. come on.”
“atsu-kun, i really don’t feel like eating now. why don’t you go ahead with himuro-san?” you turned to offer them a sarcastic smile but it faltered at the sight of himuro’s smile vanishing. it felt like a jab, maybe you were too rude somehow.
“you know, i will drop muro-chin any day for you!” atsushi kept his humongous hand flat against the book, preventing you from re-opening it.
you two bickered back and forth like a couple for a while before himuro interrupted humbly.
“i should not interfere between you two, i will leave,” with a slight nod towards atsushi, himuro walked away.
you have never felt worse in life. time and again, among your usual friends’ group, you are left to feel like a third-wheel so you know exactly how shitty and unwelcoming that feels. and just now, you made someone else feel that way. but you are supposed to be this mature person, who knows better, behaves better than the average joe. before you could call himuro back, atsushi grabbed you with him downstairs to the kitchen. it is not exactly like you can fight him off, you might have tried to (multiple times) back when you were kids but these days you don’t even reach till his collar, the giant is just too tall.
soon actual recess period came around — you were still sat beside atsushi in the canteen. the bowl of udon noodles placed in front of you had gone untouched and cold while atsushi just finished his third bowl. finally after finding some time in between his constant munching, atsushi turned to you. he has not failed to miss that you have not touched your food.
“y/n-chin, is everything alright?”
your eyes were following himuro who just descended from the classroom and walked to one of the empty tables of the canteen, a bunch of boys following him but he looked unhappy and lonely. after a brief period of maintaining your eye-contact, he sat down with his back facing you.
“oi!” atsushi elbowed your ribs.
“ow, that hurts!” you groaned, turning your attention back to him, “what?”
“i asked what happened. you haven’t touched your food.”
“nothing. i told you i didn’t feel like eating.”
“there’s more.”
sighing defeated you rubbed your eyes, “i think i behaved rudely with himuro-san.”
“you don’t like him, right? i have never seen you being this way with anyone. even with people you claim not to like.”
“no... it’s not like that... he just seems so fake, i guess? self-centred too.”
atsushi turned his gaze from the plate of rice cakes to you, almost with an offended look, “y/n-chin that is very immature of you to assume. you keep talking big about being an adult and behaving in a proper way and yet you assumed things.”
and then it hit you. you have not even spoken to the guy or let him talk to you but just assumed that he is just like the popular lot — rude, narcissistic, selfish.
“would you like to say sorry to him for being rude?” atsushi gave you a look. you knew it was his way to politely threaten that you better say sorry or he is going to whoop your ass. this is huge though, coming from atsushi himself who has never much cared about fellow human beings. to see him caring about another individual almost like he cares for you — you must really have gotten it wrong.
gathering up the courage, you walked to where himuro was sat. the bunch of guys around him were trying to engage him in some conversation but he was just playing with his food. as you showed up in the field of his vision, he sat up straighter. when he realized that you were approaching him, he did not miss a beat to dismiss the guys.
“himuro-san, i am sorry if i was rude earlier. i did not mean it,” you bowed to completely your apology but he dismissed it.
“please, call me tatsuya. also, what are you talking about? i don’t think we have ever talked before.”
“you know what i mean,” you offered him a kind smile before walking you.
well, duh, himuro knew what you were talking about but he was just beating around the bush so you would fall for his trap and talk to him just a tad bit more. however, his plans fell apart when you left.
︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶༉‧₊˚.
a week later, you were watching atsushi practice from the stands. he played alone in the empty basketball court of yosen. the full moon was perfectly visible through the clouds and was illuminating the place, complementing the street lights.
you were in the middle of reading a manga when the presence of another individual sitting down on the stand beside you, caused you to look up. on noticing that it was himuro, you stood up to walk away but he pulled your wrist, oh so conveniently, and prevented you from leaving.
“you can sit, i don’t mind. i don’t bite, either. i promise.”
there was a different vulnerability laced in his voice today, not the usual arrogance.
“o-okay,” you mumbled, resuming your seat.
silence resumed its reign but it was awkward and pricking at your skin. you can bet it was bothering him as well but he kept quiet. perhaps scared that he might spook you away again.
“did not expect to see you here,” you started.
himuro chuckled, “i am the captain too apart from being murasakibara’s friend. i have to keep an eye on him to make sure he is practicing.”
“oh, he practices. i make sure he does!” you smiled, proud of your best friend for being such a great player.
“you do?” himuro’s face again, lost some colour, “are you guys, like... dating?”
“what???” you exclaimed a bit too loud, “atsu-kun and i? never! he is my best friend.”
and the smile was back on himuro’s face, “that’s great to hear.”
“why do you care?”
“are you dense or just pretending?”
“excuse me?” you raised an eyebrow at the sudden rude comment.
“i like you, y/n-san.”
“this is the first time i am hearing the -san title leaving your mouth for anyone other than for teachers.”
“that’s what you got from that?!? and yeah, that too actually. hope you know now that i am not joking.”
“how do i know that it’s not a trick. maybe you only call others -san too when you are flirting with them!”
himuro groaned, “i never flirt with anyone!”
“oh yeah, what about the hundreds of love letters you receive, huh!”
“that was only to make you notice me!”
“by making me think that you are popular! ugh, as if!”
“well you keep pretending like you are high and mighty and better than us!”
“i am better!”
atsushi jogged to you both as his practice bag was with you and he tried calling for you when he felt thirsty but to no avail.
“are you two done fighting like an old married couple?”
“no!” you both turned to atsushi at the same time and yelled.
“whoa whoa, what did i do? i just wanted water.”
tatsuya leaned down to grab the bottle from the practice bag and shoved it against atsushi’s stomach, “take your water and go.”
“yes, atsu-kun, take your water and go. tatsu-kun and i have some issues to resolve.”
atsushi rolled his eyes (sign him the fuck out) before walking away.
“di-did you just call me tatsu-kun?”
“n-no, you must be mistaken,” you shook your head at once turning back to staring at atsushi who resumed his practice.
tatsuya sat facing forwards as well, his hand crawling up slowly to where your palm rested flat on the wooden bench till he rested his hand on yours. his touch was cautious and he tested the water before finally letting it rest comfortably on top of yours when he duly noted that you had no complains. conveniently.
a/n: i am not entirely sure if udon noodles are offered in high school canteens across japan. if they are not, pardon my ignorant assumption.
︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶༉‧₊˚.
feedback is deeply appreciated.✨

yandere!okamura kenichi x gn!reader hcs
for anon who asked "Hi :D know ur busy with x-mas n all, and i'm ok with you not answering this but there's something on my heart. I'm actually the matchup u did with Okamura; remember falling in love with him thanks to ur relationship headcanons. It was a loong time ago! but I can't forget it so I think u know where this is going? Only if you do yandere or if u have time over & interest, I want all u got with Okamura :D perhaps him confessing? If not then I'm perfectly happy with the matchup! its screenshotted lol"
honestly thank you for still being around! that was almost 3 years ago, damn. hopefully the below hcs meet your expectations :)
by the time okamura confesses, he has already: planned exactly how many children the two of you will have (five), decided that you will have to be a stay at home s/o no matter what you have to say about it, chosen what you’ll wear on your wedding day with him, and has fantasied about said wedding day at least twenty times
just thinking about all these happy memories that he could spend with you makes him feel sick with joy
(though let’s be real, okamura’s not in love with you. he’s in love with the idea of you loving him)
but when he does confess, stumbling loudly over his words in a room with just the two of you, it goes without saying that he says,
“i love you! you’re the prettiest, most intelligent, most incredible person i’ve ever met. please go on a date with me!”
you’re touched, you agree to it - and boom the relationship begins
to start with, okamura isn’t visibly possessive (he’ll clench his jaw till he gets a headache but that’s all)
instead he’s getting his timelines a little mixed up
so what is y’all’s third date in your mind, is “only one week left until i ask them to marry me” in okamura’s mind
course, if you think he’s moving too fast (which he is), and you tell him that, he’ll apologise profusely
like so many apologises he’s on the verge of crying
(in his mind, he’s thinking that he betrayed you by rushing the courtship process, which you clearly want to do slowly and properly)
overtime he develops into mr unconsciously emotionally blackmails you all the time
you mention how nice himuro looks today, he’s fucking fighting back tears - “i see how it is, i’ll never be enough for you, you deserve better”
can get very upset very quickly, and, when he’s in one of those phases, no matter what you say, he just spins it into it being his fault
thus making you feel guilty
so eventually you apologise for having talked to murasakibara, or for having talked to someone who thought you were attractive, or for not having wanted to meet up with okamura that evening etc
at which point, he wraps you in a bear hug so tight you can’t breathe, and he’ll only let go when he wants to
but, here’s the thing, this is the good side of okamura
you really don’t want to underestimate him and think that, if you were to push him away once and for all, he’d cry himself to sleep a few times and that’d be all
the idea of breaking up with you, in okamura’s mind, is synonymous with death
because you’re the only one who’s ever loved him
if he loses you, he’ll have no one
so, although he definitely doesn’t want to get violent with you, if he needs to get serious (and use the fact that he’s muscular and heavy and very tall) to help you ‘see just how much he loves you’, he will

Hiiii <3 Thank You for the Midorima And Murasakibara headcanons! ! ! They were too cute >~< Is it Possible If I ask for a Scenario of How Murasakibara would Handle His Gf's Pregnancy Pains? :o <3 I Absolutely Love your Work!!! <333
HI HI HI ANON <3 idk if youre still here but here’s a short and sweet scenario <3
Murasakibara x Reader
Word Count: 917
»»————— ☼ —————««
“Chibi-chin, do you wanna go down the street to… Chibi-chin?”
Murasakibara was giddy when he found out that the local convenience store was offering free coupons for umaibo sticks, something both you and he craved for recently, but his childish excitement dissipates when he sees you laying on your side, almost unmoving, when he called your name. Upon closer inspection, your entire body was shaking while you struggled to hold back noises of pain.
“Hey… what’s wrong?” he asked, uncharacteristically more expressive, openly frowning in worry. After all, he knows that he’s not the most pregnancy-savvy person when it comes to knowledge and taking charge, since you’re the person who usually fills that role. He’s even more painfully aware that he can’t always rely on others (example, Himuro) to do things for him.
“Ow…” you manage to croak out amidst the pain. “Could you… grab the medicine?” Any further train of thought was interrupted by another sharp jab hitting your abdomen, and your eyes squint shut to bear it. Even if Murasakibara knows your predicament isn’t life-threatening like the first time he thought when you fainted out of nowhere, he’s still quite uneasy when he sees you in such a state.
“I got it.”
After nudging a water bottle into your clammy hands, he quickly gets to the medicine cabinet in the bathroom, furrowing his brows in trying to remember which bottle amongst the many was the painkillers. In all honesty, he’s quite sharp when it comes to basketball and you, but at the very moment of sheer panic, he dumbly blanks out when he stares at the never-ending rows of medication that have accumulated throughout your months of pregnancy. The painkillers, he remembers, were in an orange bottle you daintily plucked out of the cabinet last week.
But he snaps out of his concentration when he hears another pained groan from your end and hurriedly gathers every single orange bottle that bears resemblance to his memory before he clumsily scurries over to your side. From there, he unceremoniously rearranges the bottles on the bed stand before he gently tugs you up to a sitting position.
“Hey…” His voice gently rumbles to coax you. “... You’re okay now.” Murasakibara sets you onto his lap and draws soothing circles on your stomach before he nudges you to look at the aligned bottles. “So… erm, Chibi-chin… I forgot which bottle was the one you needed.”
You gave a weak chortle at him. “You seriously might as well could’ve brought the entire cabinet to me, Atsushi.” To your words, he merely pouts and pulls your right cheek before you manage to pry his large hand off of your face.
“Tch, shut up already,” he says, growing more embarrassed the more you looked at him with complete amusement. That was, until your pain amped up again, and you grimaced in response.
He gently scoops you from his lap and carries you to the edge of the bed where the stand was, and he childishly urges you to take the appropriate medication. He never once let his eyes off of you, watching you eventually relaxing within several minutes once the effects begin kicking in.
“Chibi-chin…” he mumbles, fixated on your ever-growing stomach. “Do you regret it?” You look at him like he grew three heads before you realize what he meant.
“Do you think I regret having a child with… you?” You cock your head to the side, watching his reaction to your question intently. He merely frowns as he reaches to thumb your stomach with a ghost of a touch, something you always forget he was capable of because of his large physique.
“Is the pain even worth it, Chibi-chin?” he says. “If I were you, I wouldn’t even think about doing this if I knew how painful and bothersome this would be… would rather do anything but have annoyances like these.” You only bark out an amused laugh before you ruffle his hair (to which he immediately tries to step away from in a huff), and you gently flick his forehead to admonish him (to which he also gives you a glare for). “I’m actually serious.”
“My bad, my bad,” you say, waving him off. “I mean yeah, the pain sucks ass, but there’s ways to alleviate and deal with them. Wouldn’t ever regret having a kid if it’s with you. Honestly, your pain will come in due time anyways once you have to learn to take responsibility for once… as a father.”
“I’m not the same person as the kid in high school,” he retorts, but you merely give a deadpan look at his insistence. “But uh… you can depend on me… right?” Murasakibara slightly fidgets in his spot with an averted gaze, not aware that you give him the softest look of pure adoration.
“Of course I can, Atsushi,” you coo. “If I couldn’t depend on you, why would I even be with you, let alone have a kid with you? Come on now, dummy.” He merely rolls his eyes at the namecall but nonetheless slips out a small smile.
“You’re okay now, right, Chibi-chin?” You merely hesitate before you give a chagrined smile.
“Um… I’m craving Lotta choco pies and mozzarella sticks?”
“...” He shoots his own deadpanned look before he gives in with a long sigh. “... Fine, fine. Just sit tight here, and I’ll be back. I’ll be buying extra snacks in case you want more, too.”
“You mean the extra snacks are for yourself.”
“Oh, shut up.”

hi lovey! sorry for the wait, i did my best ): still, hope u like it <3
ᴍᴜʀᴀsᴀᴋɪʙᴀʀᴀ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴀ ᴛᴀʟʟ s/ᴏ
Tumblr media
-> let me start by saying, he's still taller than you by ten good inches.
-> so you may be tall but he's taller.
-> meaning, he still thinks he can crush you.
-> he just thinks he can crush everyone.
-> when he first met you, you were the same height as himuro, which yes, surprised him but not that much.
-> what surprise him dude it's like a rock lmao
-> but as you start to hang out, he begins to see you with different eyes.
-> yeah, you're taller than most girls, but he really likes that.
-> he mostly likes how you're over average height and he still surpasses you.
-> competitive jerk.
-> atsushi is the type of guy who falls in love so fast, it takes only a few things.
-> if he sees you worry about him, you'll have him.
-> an actual power couple, like, the whole school has to literally look up to you.
-> the only thing he likes more than eating is seeing you towering other people and then him tagging along so you can so it together.
-> couple bonding <3
-> he feels like with you by his side he can conquer the world, because nobody can reach you.

OMG! Headcanons about Akashi and Kise was really amazing! I fall in love with your writing! Thank you a lot! Can I ask friendship headcanons about Vorpal Swords team and reader in the training camp before match with Jabberwock? She cares about them because Riko and Momoi can't do it?
A/N: I’m so glad to hear that you liked them! So with this one I first had to explain how you got to know them, how you befriended them and finally how the trainings camp passed. I explicitly concentrated on the GoM members only, so if you’d like to hear how it would play out with the other three guys make sure to tell me! But anyway...I hope you enjoy this!

Tumblr media
So first of let me set the relationship between you guys straight:
back in the days you were also a student in Seirin high school, but unlike the others you weren’t a member of the basketball club
one day you saw them training and you were instantly in awe, impressed by their skills, will to play and their bodies 👀
all in all: you wanted to know more about them
luck was on your side since you knew Riko (she once was your tutor back when you were a first year and since then you had become great friends)
you once asked if you could watch them during their training and she just grinned widely as an answer
after that one time, you became a regular spectator and you sometimes even contributed to their training plan
some months passed and your name was soon in the club member list under the title of manager
and that’s how you got to know the rest of the Vorpal Swords team
your relationship with the Generation if Miracles was actually quite ok?
in the beginning when Kuroko explained his reason to leave them you actually felt sorry for both them and Kuroko
you basically met them in the same order as they appeared in the anime (so: Kise, Midorima, Aomine, Murasakibara and Akashi)
Now let me tell you something about your individual relationship with the Vorpal swords team:
1. Kagami:
you two are basically best friends
he got your back and you got his
the two of you get teased a lot by the others since you very often spend the night at his house (it’s comfier there than where you live that’s why)
a thing you two often do is an eating contest (in which you miserably fail every single time, but it’s fun nonetheless)
2. Kuroko:
he is your ‘son’
one time you accidentally called him that and since then it became quite the insider joke between you and the whole team
if he was embarrassed about it, no one knew thanks to his poker face
all in all you guys actually share some of the same tastes/hobbies (milkshake, books, ...) and they are quite often the main subject you guys talk about
if a new book of your/his favorite author was published you’d arrange a meeting and go buy it
3. Kise:
this man is literally your beauty specialist
the first time he saw you, he just knew that the way you dressed failed to bring out your inner beauty so...he basically kidnapped you one day and went on a shopping spree with you
since then he would always request you to call him on Facetime so he could evaluate the outfit you wore/wanted to wear
overall you guys have the same bubbly personality so you get along just perfectly
4. Midorima:
“(Y/N), here’s your lucky item for today, oh and by the way, I’ve listened to your horoscope for today...“
some people wonder if you ever regretted telling him that you were also listening/reading your horoscope from time to time
you could never forget the face he made when he heard that
since that day he always made sure to keep you up to date
sometimes it annoyed you just a little, but the pout he unconsciously made when someone asked you if you weren’t bothered by his constant talking was so out of character that you caught yourself thinking that he was cute
5. Aomine:
he is actually the hardest one to deal with (for you at least)
the proverb ‘opposites attract’ doesn’t apply to you guys at all
your relationship is basically like how his is with Momoi, but you get way more annoyed with him than she does (their ‘childhood friends’ status is to blame...)
but there are times when he is the exact type of person you need
when you were annoyed by something/someone and just need your peace, he is the man you’ll call up first (and vice versa)
the two of you would meet up somewhere where the both of you were comfortable at and probably lie down/or lean on a wall, saying nothing
that’s how it would play out the majority of the time
the silence was much more comfortable than any ‘Everything’s going to be alright/Don’t give up/ ...’ line
as to when you guys would actually talk about your problems...well that heavily depends on your guys’ mood
6. Murasakibara:
this man just loves you
wanna know why?
well...remember that street basketball match where you guys first met Himuro and Murasakibara?
yeah well you oh-so-conveniently had brought some sandwiches, drinks and sweets with you, just in case the boys got hungry/thirsty
out of politeness you offered the two Yosen boys some of your sweets
Himuro (being equally polite) refused, but Murasakibara...
“Is this...the premium bag with the super new and rare gummy bear taste?!”
“Y-Yes?”
his embrace almost crushed you...
that day he happily made you his sweets supplier
when you met there was no greeting, no ‘hey (Y/N)-chin how are you?’
he just opened his mouth and waited for you to put some of his favorite gummies in there
the first time he did that, you were caught by surprise and had nothing prepared for him
Murasakibara got so sad that he basically pouted for hours
that sight made your heart ache so bad that after you guys finished training, you took the purple giant by his hand and went to the candy shop in your neighborhood buying and taking notes on all of his favorite candies, so that you could be prepared for the next time
7. Akashi:
uff...where should I start
the first time you met him was basically alongside Kagami
you know...the scissor scene
yeah.......
anyway, your first thoughts were actually something along the lines of ‘is that man ok?’
you watched all of Rakuzan’s games and you just hated his guts and arrogance
the moment Seirin won against his team, you should’ve been the proudest person alive but you weren’t...
you actually felt pity for him and you just casually asked if he wanted to play some shogi with you
his answer was of course: yes
so during the shogi game you guys decided to talk about every possible topic you could think of and it was so fun, that you actually apologized to him for all the prejudices you had against him
he giggled and accepted your apology saying that it was something he was already used to
ouch?
oh btw the shogi game result.....?
you lost
And now FINALLY the trainingscamp:
it all started with a phone call you got from Riko
“Hey (Y/N), sorry to call you out of the blue like that, but I have a little favour to ask of you..“
and here you were...next to Riko’s father, sitting next to him in his minivan, with the whole GoM talking/bickering in the back while driving to a small improvised training camp for five days in order to prepare them for their game against an american basketball team
now as to why only the GoM members were here, while the rest of the boys (Hyuga, Takao and Wakamatsu), Riko and Momo weren’t here
answer: university
they all apparently had a huge test coming up and since the other three guys were the substitute players, they would train with the girls whenever they could, while you were given the task to train the main troupe
the first day was quite relaxing, since you just distributed the rooms amongst you guys, made a training plan, had a short training session and finally had a recollection talk during dinner
when they told you how Kuroko was punched...OH BOY you were ready to drive back yourself and strangle that arrogant prick
day two of the camp was filled with almost nothing but training and some lunch breaks
for the third day you decided to do something fun for the boys
so with the help of Riko’s father you guys prepared some BBQ and you borrowed all of their favorite movies and watched them online while eating, laughing and reminiscing
fourth day was filled with training also
and the final day was simply their (and your) free day, everybody could do whatever they wanted
you actually wanted to use that day to relax, but to your surprise the boys had now organized and dedicated a whole day just for you
seeing them all try and please you by buying you your most favorite things and literally treat you like a princess for a whole day had you teared up
“(Y/N)?! What’s wrong? Are you ok??“
you were so grateful to had gotten to know this guys, that you had actually started crying
the training camp ended on a happy note
a very happy one at that...for both you and them

My Harem is Entirely Bad Boy Types (Kirisaki Daiichi x Reader) Pt. 5
Chapter 5: Is This Seriously Her Type?!
 “Would you stop already?” Hanamiya breathed out in a huff as he wiped the sweat from his brow.
 “What the hell? Stop what?” (Y/N) asked throwing her hands up in the air.
 “Stop flaunting yourself around like that! Yosen’s team is going to be here and I don’t need them all over you.”
(Y/N) crossed her arms under her chest and turned away stubbornly.
 “Like hell am I gonna let you tell me what to wear! Besides you told me I need to wear the Kiridai colours during matches but yet didn’t want me in one of your jerseys so what was I supposed to do?”
 “Probably not go out and get a cheerleading outfit.” Hara said looking her up and down for the 100th time already,
 “It’s not a cheerleader outfit! It’s a jersey that actually fits me and a matching skirt! Which reminds me, I got this made too!” (Y/N) unhooked Mako from her back and taking him out of his sling the team saw his own little uniform. It was impractical but surprisingly cute of her.
 “When the hell is that stupid project of yours over? It doesn’t really make much sense, Japan has one of the lowest rates of teen pregnancy.” Seto rambled on as he worked on his handles.
 “Once the new school year starts in April.”
 “Ugh don’t even talk about it! She gets weirdly emotional when you mention it!” Hara exclaimed, taking a break from practicing lay-ups.
 “We’ve had him for so long! How could you not have gotten attached?!”
 While those two bickered like an old married couple Hanamiya’s ears perked up at the sound of arguing right outside the gym doors.
 “She’s never going to love you like I did!”
 “Good! I don’t want anyone to love me like you! Because you only love me when it’s convenient for you! You only love me when I’ve stopped loving you back! I’m done running in circles with you, Mei!”
 “You don’t even know her! You think because of that team you play with that you know real manipulation, you think you got her right where you want her but it’s the other way around! And I will prove it to you!”
 That last sentence was high and loud enough to carry across the gym into the three previously unaware sets of ears.
 Before they could react, Yamazaki came stomping into the gym, slamming the door behind him.
 “Fucking bitch!” He called out in frustration before loosening his tie, tossing his school jacket to the side and marching into the locker room to change.
 “Is Yamazaki okay?” (Y/N) asked, suddenly very concerned.
 “Yeah, it’s just his psycho bitch of an ex.” Hanamiya commented with a sigh, not prepared to deal with the fuckery he knew that girl would cause.
 “Was she that bad?”
 “She was the worst.” Hara said lowkey adjusting the uniform on his baby. “I’ve known Zaki since elementary school, he’d never been a push ever. But during our first year at KiriDai, he started dating Mei and he would just let her walk all over him. It was honestly pathetic. When Caps started looking seriously into forming a good team I thought being in basketball would be pretty cool so I invited Zaki to try out with me. Figured it would give him some independence from her.”
 “And that one stupid decision nearly got both your asses kicked off the team.” Seto reminded, feeling a headache come on from the sheer memory.
 “Everyday we’d have to hear her either fawning over him or on us for working him too hard. We had to make a rule of nobody off team being allowed in the gym during practice without prior approval.” Hanamiya said aiming to take a shot before looking into (Y/N)’s eyes deeply. “In fact, you were the first one to break that rule.”
 (Y/N) blinked at her captain’s words. When she first showed up months ago she wasn’t entirely sure why Hara was so against her being seen by Hanamiya. She unknowingly, could have landed him in some trouble with his team.
 What was most present in her mind right now was the sheer fact of how easy it was to join. Any issues she’d had were with her boyfriend, not the guys and surprisingly not Hanamiya. Sure, he’d pulled his bullshit on her but only for a moment before he came to invite her to be a part of his team. Knowing what she knew now on top of everything else, there’s no way it should have been so simple.
 “She would break up with him as a manipulation thing, which is no doubt why you caught his attention to quickly. He can relate.” Hara said scoring a three-point shot. “The last time they broke up she said she wanted to find someone better. I guess she didn’t and now she’s angry that he might have.”
 “Might have what?”
 “Found someone better.”
 “…What, you don’t mean me, do you?”
 “Believe it or not but Zaki has been after you for months.”
 “Yeah I know. I just don’t necessarily see myself as ‘someone better’.”
 “Wait wait wait, you know?” Seto asked with a surprised look on his face.
 “Of course, I do! What, you think I’m some kind of oblivious idiot?”
 “Then you know why she threw her milk on you that one time right?”
 “…That was her?”
 “Yup and clearly she sees you as the thing that’s keeping Yamazaki from taking her back. Whatever you had going on with her in middle school is only ten times worse now.” Hanamiya said checking the time on the gym clock.
 “Maybe if you finally moved on and started dating someone else you would prove to her you were no threat.” Hara said coming up behind her placing a large hand on her hip, the other playing with the hem of her skirt. “Or we can pretend? Have some fun?”
 (Y/N) paid him no mind, even ignoring his touch creeping to inch up her skirt. She appeared deep in thought for a moment only to finally give her signature bright smile.
 “You’re right! I should try to start dating again! Actually dating, not whatever is going through your little perverted mind.” (Y/N) teased, smirking to herself as Hara finally took her silence as an okay and finally ran his hand up her thigh.
 “You and these goddamn shorts!” He said watching the girl jump as an audible slap of his hand against her thigh echoed through the gym.
 “Seriously? Hara stop harassing the poor girl.” Hanamiya sighed rubbing at his temples.
 “Should we come back at another time?” A rather tall Chinese guy said taking in the image of Hara with his hands practically all the way up (Y/N)’s backside.
 (Y/N) noticed the male’s Yosen jacket right away and suddenly remembered something very important. Slapping Hara’s hands away with a red face, the girl walked up to Hanamiya with a concerned look on her face.
 “Captain, Furuhashi never showed up.”
 Glancing at his phone, Hanamiya looked concerned for a moment before shrugging his shoulders.
 “We’ll deal with him later, besides it’s just a scrimmage. We’re gonna go ahead and let the second string play this one.”
 Out of the corner of her eye (Y/N) saw the rest of Yosen’s team come striding in. Instantly her eyes practically sparkled at the sight before her.
 “Sorry, but our coach wanted me to let you know she would be unable to make it today.” A black-haired boy with a beauty mark under his eye, said with a polite smile.
 “Hello, handsome.” (Y/N) mumbled under her breath, straightening out her hair and skirt before walking in an almost trance-like state towards the team.
 The members of Yosen groaned at yet another fangirl falling head over heels for Himuro. It happened all the time but it didn’t mean they were any less annoyed by it at this point.
 Himuro felt a small hand touch his shoulder gently and was prepared to give a polite decline only to be surprised at the force of her moving him out of the way.
 “Excuse me.”
 Both teams’ members had their jaws drop as she walked practically through Himuro to get to none other than Okamura. The gorilla of a man stood there with a frozen confused face.
 (Y/N) smiled at him sweetly before tugging on the bottom of his jacket.
 “Your legs must be so tired.” She commented sweetly fidgeting with his jacket zipper.
“Umm why would they be?”
 “Because you’ve been running through my mind all day!”
 “W-what!?”
 “I’ll be your Yamato if you’ll be my Takeo and we can make this OUR Love Story!” (Y/N) said suddenly wrapping her arms around the tall male’s waist. His face grew insanely red and his entire body began to tremble.
 “Now that’s just mean!” Fukui laughed as he saw the disbelief and almost hopeful look in his captain’s eyes. “We’d heard that KiriDai had a girl on their team and we figured she’d have to be a bit of a bitch. But come on, you didn’t have to bust out this manipulation on the poor guy. He’s not really even captain anymore.”
 “She’s not a bitch just an idiot otaku. (Y/N), get off the guy!” Hanamiya tried to call off the lovestruck girl, shooting Hara a glare for ever suggesting the girl try dating.
 “No, no she’s fine!” Okamura called out immediately placing his large hands gently on her shoulders. “So uhh your name’s (Y/N)? That’s really beautiful.”
 “Hmmm? Why is that girl squeezing Okamura?” A lazy childish voice came into the gym.
 (Y/N) turned her attention away from the apple of her eye only for her jaw to drop. Sure, she’d more or less known of each member of the generation and while she had seen most of them play a game, having this one so close was a whole different ballgame.
 “I don’t know what you guys are feeding him, but he is too damn big!”
 She had since let go of Okamura and was staring at Murasakibara in awe. He was annoyed pretty quickly at both her intense staring and the freakshow treatment he was receiving.
 “Alright, enough harassing the opposite team.” Hara said attempting to drag his friend back to the bleachers.
 Now focusing on the actual basketball players, one thing caught their entire team’s attention. And that was a small child being held delicately in the lilac male’s hands.
 “One of you has a kid? I guess that’s not surprising for the personality type but isn’t this like a prestigious school or something?” Fukui asked trying to get a better peek at the infant.
 “Would it perhaps be why the team suddenly added a female manager?” Liu pondered aloud.
 “I, for one, believe I would make a great stepdad! We wouldn’t even have to tell anyone I wasn’t the father!” Okamura said quickly which earned an almost pained expression from (Y/N). That look quickly vanished and with a sigh she gave a genuine looking smile.
 “Mako is a project of mine. He’s a doll! So, maybe not a stepfather…but you can definitely be my daddy-”
 “Ugh that guy can’t seriously be your type, can he?” Seto interrupted with a look of disbelief on his face.
 “Be nice!” (Y/N) scolded with a pout.
 “Besides, should you of all people be judging someone by their looks?” Yamazaki retorted finally emerging from the locker room, looking like he’d blown off all the steam he needed.
“Ouch, Zaki what’s the damage?” Hara asked casually slinging an arm over (Y/N)’s shoulder, not so casually asserting his dominance over the opposing team.
 “It’s just been a bad day, are we gonna play or what?”
 “Or what, it would seem. Furu isn’t here and none of us can get to him so we’re going to let the first year’s play. Matsumoto, you lead them okay?” Hanamiya called out to a group of rather surprised looking boys.
 “We definitely don’t need to be adding in our aces either.” Himuro said thinking more to himself than speaking to anyone. “I suppose we will throw in a few of our first years to play.
 “Can I still have the food you brought for the team?” Yamazaki asked (Y/N), already rifling through her bag.
 “Swear, I’m just a mobile food pantry for you guys. Fine, I suppose my children can come get their after-school snacks.” (Y/N) mocked, taking the bag away from her friend and pushing past the healthy sports food for the junk food she had hidden all the way to the bottom.
 As she handed them out to both her first- and second-string team, she was suddenly aware of a looming presence hovering over her shoulder. Turning around she came face to torso with none other than Yosen’s ace.
 He wasn’t saying much of anything just sort of hanging around her awkwardly. One arm hung limply at his side and the other was balancing a horde of his own snacks. His stare was more yearning than it was expectant and (Y/N) smiled to herself a bit.
 Aomine never really talked much about his Teiko team except to talk shit. So, if there was anything she knew about Murasakibara it was that he was childish, none too bright, and loved nothing more than to eat.
 Reaching deeply into the bag she produced a bag of limited edition flavoured chips and handed them off to him. He seemed genuinely surprised and almost didn’t even lift a hand to grab them at first, sure she would tug them out of his grasp as soon as he tried.
 She jiggled the bag at him almost like an owner calling a cat for supper. And just like a feline, the tall male pounced at his opportunity for more snacks.
 Flipping the bag over and over in his hands he was relieved to see they were normal junkfood chips and not the healthy crap his team tried getting him to eat before the game. He didn’t care what they said, baked chips were NOT the same as normal fried ones. The girl smiled at him and was about to turn away before he grabbed her wrist.
 “Who sent you?” He asked in a serious tone, causing (Y/N) to look on in confusion. “Was it God? Did God send you with snacks?”
 “Alright Atsushi-kun, let’s go sit on our side of the bleachers.” Himuro urged the tall male along murmuring apologies to the bewildered girl.
 “Muro-chin who is she?”
 “She’s Kirisaki Daiichi’s manager. Now eat your chips.”
 “I want a manager.” The male stated before popping open his bag.
 “Wow there’s actually chips in the bag! I thought she’d have filled it with spiders or something!” Fukui exclaimed watching his tall teammate lift one to his mouth.
 “These are the best chips I’ve ever eaten in my entire life.”
 “I want to try one!” The ash-blonde exclaimed ready to grab one, only to have the bag suddenly held feet over his head.
 “Touch them and you’ll lose a finger.”
~~~~~
 “This turned out to be a fairly interesting game.” Himuro panted as he spoke to Hanamiya who simply nodded in response.
 As it turned out KiriDai’s second string had gotten much better and were not only holding their own but actually winning against Yosen. Of course, as this continued Yosen started subbing in some of their first string players and KiriDai followed suit.
 All having been somewhat surprised when Hanamiya instructed them not to bother wasting their energy with foul play. Still they could follow orders and the game had been surprisingly clean, save for some vulgar language from KiriDai.
 “Alright everyone, body checks! Do we have any cuts and bruises? Broken limbs? Internal bleeding?” Fukui called out to everyone who played the game which only earned him a few death glares from the opposing team. “Oh come on! You guys are known for that kind of thing. I’m surprised we were able to play a normal game.”
 “Yeah well we didn’t need any tricks to beat you.” Hara said chugging a water bottle.
 “Only by one point and we had a few players unavailable.” Liu motioned towards Okamura who had all his attention focused on (Y/N) giving him attention.
 Murasakibara was on the other side of the girl, pouting. He’d taken it pretty hard that Hanamiya wasn’t willing to “give him” (Y/N) to take back to Yosen with him.
 “Good game.” Himuro complimented the team again. “I look forward to playing an actual game with you really soon. Come on Atsushi. Okamura, we need to head back.
 “Ne Muro-chin ask the one with the eyebrows again.” Murasakibara said pushing Himuro towards the team coach, ignoring the look of wrath on Hanamiya’s face.
 “(Y/N) doesn’t belong to him. We can’t just force her to come to Yosen. When we get back, we’ll look into getting a manager okay?”
 “I don’t want any manager, I want this one. She gets me!”
 (Y/N) laughed as they dragged the tall male out of the gym before turning back to Okamura. Smiling at him she held out her hand and he looked at it questioningly.
 “Give me your phone and I can give you my number! Call me once you get back to Akita. I would really like to go out with you sometime. Maybe I can make my way out there.”
 “W-what? You mean you still want to talk to me after today?” Okamura asked genuinely surprised, he figured she was more or less just jerking him around for fun and was sadly fine with that.
 “Of course!” The girl smiled widely not missing the scowling and disgusted faces of some of her teammates. She waved at the tall man as he followed his team out of the gym.
 “Hey girl, I told you to start dating someone not just anyone!” Hara said slinging his arm around her waist, fingers tapping along her ribcage under her breast.
 “Hey hands to yourself! He was cute! I’m glad you guys didn’t decide to maim him for a simple scrimmage.”
 “That was a bit strange of you, captain.” Matsumoto commented, secretly grateful he could play a normal game. “Why though?”
 Hanamiya shrugged and wiped his brow. He looked to be debating something over in his head before sighing heavily.
 “The Headmaster may or may not be watching our team a little more closely. Honestly, you can only give so many injuries before people start asking questions.”
 The team grew gravely quiet. It’d been something they had anticipated for a long time but never thought would actually happen. Sure, for now they were just being kept under watch, but it let them know that one more incident would most likely lead to a disband. And they didn’t know how to handle that information, they were a team built upon those dirty antics.
 “It’s no big deal, we can do spider-web without the rough play. Emotional and mental manipulation works just as well.” Hanamiya said trying to get his team’s nerves back down.
 (Y/N) rolled her eyes at that but did look slightly concerned at the realization that the team was being looked at under a microscope. She’d honestly wondered why she hadn’t had to call her team out on any foul play this game.
 “He mentioned it to me before today’s scrimmage. I was waiting until Furuhashi got here but god only knows where the hell he is.”
 “I think he powered his phone off. I haven’t heard from him all weekend, I don’t even think he came to school today.” Yamazaki stated after having tried dialing him for the fifth time.
 “Is he okay?” (Y/N) asked in concern.
 “He’s fine, probably just got roped into something with his parents. I swear his mom still picks his clothes out for him.” Hara mocked with a small laugh.
 “Ahh shit! I forgot I needed to pick up a new outfit for that stupid black-tie interhigh formal. Now that we’re being watched, I guess we have to go.” (Y/N) said slapping her forehead and suddenly shooting off a quick text.
 “Holl up!” Hanamiya placed his palm over her phone and lowered it to look directly in the girl’s eyes. “What the actual hell are you talking about with a formal?”
 “Each year the wealthier schools hold an interhigh formal for their athletes. Apparently Kirisaki Daiichi’s basketball team has been invited every year but never attended. The golf and swim team usually make it out there, though.”
 “I’ve literally never heard of that in my life.” Seto mumbled running a hand through his hair.
 “Probably in the big stacks of paperwork we would throw out.” Hanamiya sighed closing his eyes in annoyance. Times like this reminded him of exactly why they had needed a manager to begin with. “But if we never go why the hell should we this year?”
 “Well because now the Headmaster is watching us. If we make an appearance as a respectable team and exchange a few niceties, I’m sure it can at least in some points in our favour.”
 Hanamiya closed his eyes and inhaled deeply through his nose before pressing his hands together. Opening his eyes quickly with an exhale he pointed his hands at the girl firmly.
 “No.”
 “What do you mean no?”
 “I mean there’s no way in hell we’re going to that.”
 “(Y/N)’s not wrong though.” Hara spoke up, looking as if he had actually been thinking everything through. “What’s it going to kill us to sit in a room full of people and pretend we’re normal? You gotta force that shit every day in class, what’s a couple more hours?”
 “I agree with (Y/N) on this one.” Yamazaki nodded in response.
 “You agree with her on everything! Look if you guys wanna go be with a bunch of silver-spoon cocky sons of bitches then be my guest. But tell them your captain can’t make it.” Hanamiya spat out quickly with a tone of finality.
 “That’s fine.” (Y/N)’s concerned face suddenly melted into one of understanding. “It’s not your thing and none of us are gonna force you to go. We can totally go and rep our KiriDai pride without you! On that note, do any of you boys wanna accompany me to the mall?”
 “Why the mall? It’s supposed to be a formal event, you should get your dress from a fancy boutique or something.” Hanamiya commented receiving raised eyebrows from the guys. “If she’s going to be ‘repping’ MY team she better not go looking like shit!”
 “The mall’s cheaper! So, anyone wanna go?”
 “I’m too tired, sorry.” Seto said stifling a yawn.
 “Awww I want to go but my older brother came down from uni and we’re going to dinner!” Yamazaki whined at having to miss an opportunity alone with (Y/N).
 “I don’t go to the mall.” Hanamiya grumbled. “It’s too noisy and crowded.”
 “And since we won today, I have a celebratory session with someone.” Hara said clicking away on his phone.
 “Slut.” Yamazaki teased with a grin.
 “Hot girl?” (Y/N) asked scurrying next to him to try and peek a glance on his phone.
 “All my girls are hot.” Hara responded cockily showing the girl his many attractive Instagram followers. This of course, earning a groan from the guys and he was sure a eyeroll or disgusted noise from (Y/N). To his surprise she held her hand up for a high-five which he gave unsurely.
 “Hell yeah!”
 “That’s not the reaction most people, let alone girls, have to hearing about Hara’s habits.” Seto responded with an amused grin.
 “Well I mean is it consensual?”
 “Of course!”
 “Do they enjoy it?”
 “I’m not one to disappoint.”
 “Are they okay with it being a benefits only thing?”
 “They all vaguely know about each other and are chill about it.”
 “Then he’s ticked all the boxes! Let the boy have his fun!” (Y/N) said scrolling through his friendlist with interest.
 “You’re so fucking weird!” Hara said with a large grin, placing his palm on the girl’s head and messing her hair around.
 The lavender-haired male was beginning to admit something to himself. He’d been less than happy when (Y/N) joined the basketball team and even months later she was just some hot body attached to an annoying nag. But he has to say, he’d found himself growing rather fond of her…she was a cool girl.
 “Oh my phone’s ringing!” (Y/N) said, pulling away from Hara’s affectionate gesture. “Maybe it’s Okamura! Oh…” The girl’s face grew serious as she answered. “Hey Furu! Where were you? The game with Yosen already ended and we’d been trying to call and- Wait what? Furu you need to speak up I didn’t catch tha…You’re what?”
 The team placed all their attention on (Y/N) as she looked at them with concern.
~~~~~
 Furuhashi sat bouncing his leg in the middle of the ramen shop waiting for his teammates to show up. He pushed aside the second bowl of ramen he’d gone through.
 Apparently, he was a nervous eater. He’d never known as, before this day, he’d never been this nervous. His motto had always been to go with the flow, but this situation was never something he was prepared for.
 “Furu!” (Y/N) called out as she raced into the ramen shop and slid into the booth across from him.
 The young man looked at her with his usual blank eyes before looking away and signaling for he waitress to bring him another bowl.
 “Where are the guys?”
 “They’re coming in. We all walked together but at some point, before I even knew it, I was running.”
 He huffed a small chuckle out his nose before giving her a barely-there smile.
 “Don’t do that to me right now, don’t be nice to me or I may just never go back.”
 “Furu, what happened?” Hara spoke up as he and the guys made their way inside and sat in the booth as well.
 “I’m getting married.” The male said as nonchalantly as if he was talking about school assignments.
 “What?” The rest team burst out.
  “Her name is Yui and she lives in Osaka. We both have parental permission so we will be married shortly after graduation.” The male deadpanned taking a sip of water.
 “That’s only a year away!” (Y/N) exclaimed fiddling her hands back and forth.
 “Wait now, slow down. You’ve talked to me about this before.” Seto said putting a hand up trying to process all the information at once. “I thought your mother was going to let you decide.”
 “My stepfather is ill. He likely won’t make it another five years and that would leave me in charge. I had a month to choose from seven options and I never got around to it. Yui’s parents proposed the arrangement and since I was well past the deadline, my parents took up the offer. I can decline of course but then I give up my inheritance and family name.”
 “Why the hell wouldn’t you choose then!? At least that way you would have some say over this big important part of your life!” Yamazaki frantically called out, clearly distressed for his teammate.
 “Because he naively thought that holding it off long enough would make his mother drop the whole thing.” Hanamiya answered for him, trying not to look too invested in the situation.
 “Hanamiya!” (Y/N) scolded, clearly not happy with the guys putting any blame on the victim at hand.
 “No, he’s right. I had this false hope that she would give up on the idea and allow me to take over the company as I am. I figured that because she’d been married for love once she might understand.”
 “Yeah but that was what? One out of four?” Hara asked wondering how his level-headed friend could have completely misjudged his own mother.
 “Do you actually care about marrying for love?”
 All the guys turned to (Y/N) with raised brows and faces quite taken aback. While her voice was still nurturing and understanding, that question wasn’t expected.
 “Isn’t that what everyone wants?”
 “No, it’s what everyone has been told they should want. Some people want stability, and some want to fulfill obligations. Love is nice but not everyone needs it. Do you even care about not loving her or is there something else here?”
 Furuhashi felt his heart in the back of his throat. How a girl who barely knew him could read him was almost uncomfortable. He’d always been taught to mask his emotions, that anything less than a poker face was weakness but to (Y/N) he might as well be an open book.
 “You don’t seem to be the type in favour of arranged marriage.” He remarked to (Y/N) who quipped back instantly.
 “And you don’t seem to be the type that’s waiting on your true love. Is something wrong with this girl in particular?”
 “Is she like basketball?” Seto asked, confusing the whole table. Clearly Furuhashi understood as he averted his eyes. “You told me there was no particular reason you ended up in basketball. You just knew you were going to join something your mother didn’t know about, and this happened to be it. You don’t actually care about who she is, loving her or not. You’re saying no just because your mother said yes.”
 (Y/N) sat there taking in the information. Furu was rebelling. That’s why he didn’t choose from his several options and that’s why he was so against this mystery girl from Osaka. It wasn’t about who she was, it was about his family making the decision for him.
 “I got to know her this weekend. She’s levelheaded and nonconfrontational. I was supposed to accompany her back to Osaka tonight and head back to Tokyo Thursday morning, but I told her I had a prior engagement. She was completely understanding and agreed not to mention it to my parents.”
 “Do you have a picture of her?” Hara asked, honestly curious about Yui.
 Furuhashi opened his phone and scrolled around Instagram for a bit before stopping on an image of a smiling girl in a school uniform. He pointed to the left most girl and watched his phone be passed around.
 Each of them took their turn looking at the image. (Y/N) almost found herself smiling at the picture. The girl was cute with heavy blunt bangs cutting across her forehead and a sharp bob framing her rounded face. Her eyes were large and sparkling with a smile reflecting brighter than the one on her lips.
 “What the hell? She sounds perfectly normal and she’s at least a solid 7.5!” Hara exclaimed holding the phone close to his face.
 “I know. My mother surprisingly found an overall perfect match for me. She’s none of the things I was afraid of when I accepted a long time ago that this was the way things would be. Above all else the union would be an amazing move for our company.”
 “Then what exactly is the problem?” Hanamiya asked raising a thick brow at his teammate.
 “I was so sure my mother and stepfather would pick someone horrible. Someone way too old or way too young. A girl who was hideous inside and out. A complete bitch would have been perfect. Because then it would have been easy.”
 “What would have been easy?” (Y/N) asked, really trying to understand what Furuhashi was feeling.
 “Telling my mother no. I’ve always done exactly what she asked of me and this was supposed to be the first time I actually stood my ground and didn’t allow her to make these terrible choices for me. Only now the problem is that its not terrible. If I tell her no now, I’m not standing my ground, I’m just being a brat.”
 So, there it all was. Furuhashi had held out for hope that this would be his one opportunity to make a choice for himself and not let his mother decide something so big for him. He’d been hoping he could put his foot down on a bad choice, but it didn’t work out that way. Yui was the perfect fit for him, there was nothing to complain about but that wasn’t the point.
 “What are you going to do for now? Your parents expect you to be in Osaka for the next few days.” Hanamiya asked reminding his friend of the whole he’d dug himself into.
 “I don’t k-”
 “He can stay with me.” (Y/N) said quickly and firmly, once again taking everyone at the table aback.
 “You’re a girl, that’s not appropriate for me to-”
 “I don’t care. I have the guest house entirely to myself and the spare bedroom in it isn’t used. You said it once before, your mother doesn’t know me. I’m something that’s only yours, let me be your friend and help you out.”
 Furuhashi almost rejected her offer again. Who was her family exactly? Would they not be angry? If anyone found out would it hurt his reputation or hers? But if she was willing to take that risk…
 “Okay.”
~~~~~
 “I didn’t think we were gonna make a pitstop first.” Furuhashi said with the first true smile he’d had on his face all weekend.
 “Well as much as I wanted to help, I really needed to get this done too.” (Y/N) said adjusting the straps on a floor length black gown. “You should look for what you’re going to wear too.”
 “Do I really have to go to that thing?”
 “No, but I’d like for you to. Hanamiya isn’t and I don’t want to go alone, so I was really hoping all you guys would try.”
 “Why do you like spending time with all of us?” Furuhashi asked resting his chin in his palm. “Someone like you should never be able to mesh with guys like us so well. How do you do it?”
 (Y/N) didn’t seem at all surprised by his question and instead seemed deep in thought.
 “Because guys like you are never all bad. And great guys are never all good. Take my ex for example, people who don’t know him would probably say he’s nothing short of an angel.”
 This earned a deep scoff from the male and a grin from (Y/N).
 “And that’s my point, you know the worst parts of him and have that impression of him. Just because you guys give off a bad impression doesn’t mean you’re nothing but bad. Every negative trait can be seen in a positive light. Rude bluntness is just being a straight shooter. Sarcastic ass comments are a hilarious sense of humour. It’s all perspective and I choose for my cup to be half full.”
 “I’ve always disliked the half cup analogy. If I had a full cup and chose to drink half, it would be half full. If someone handed it to me that way, I’d see it as half empty.”
 “Going back to the things that are out of your control. Can I be 100% honest with you right now?” (Y/N) asked sitting down beside the male on the couch in the fitting room.
 “Sure.”
 “I would never advise you to do something you don’t want to do. Nobody should be forced to do something like that.”
 Furuhashi was surprised as she held her palm out for him to take her hand. Squeezing it tightly, she turned to face him head on and look him dead in the eyes.
 “But Kojiro, don’t let anyone control your decision. Let it come from you and not out of obligation or spite. If you turn down the marriage only because your mother suggested, then you’re still letting her control you. Make a choice that leaves no room for resentment. Not towards Yui and not towards yourself.”
 “Myself?”
 “You mentioned earlier how she would be good for the company. That’s your future and I know its something that is very important to you. If you pass up that opportunity, I hope you don’t regret it. I really do believe you’ll find the best choice for you.” (Y/N) said rubbing her palm over his back comfortingly before standing back up “I’m gonna go find more dresses to try on!”
 Furuhashi simply nodded at her as she quickly disappeared into the dressing room and emerged back out in her KiriDai uniform, running back out into the department store.
 She’d used his first name. She really did care about him as a person, not just saying what was socially acceptable to say. Any other person would have told him not to go through with a marriage that wasn’t rooted in love. But she was real with him and that’s all he could have hoped for.
 (Y/N) sized up a few different choices in her hands. If she was being honest, it wasn’t just for appearances that she wanted to go to the formal. Wealthy schools usually meant wealthy students and that could only mean more business opportunity for her.
 She’d never been permitted to go to such prestigious events but now that there was nobody to stop her, she figured she wanted to make the best impression possible.
 “Did you need any help dear?” A sweet voice chimed from behind the girl.
 Turning her head quickly, (Y/N) was met with a very short and petite older woman. She was smiling widely at the girl before she smacked her fist onto her open palm excitedly.
 “I know something that would look great with your complexion! May I show you?” The woman said almost giddy.
 “Sure.” (Y/N) said a little taken aback by the woman’s enthusiasm, which she seemed to read as she directed her through the racks of clothes.
 “Sorry dear! Not many people come in here looking for such fancy dresses and I do love playing dress up! I only have a son, so I don’t get to do anything like this outside of work!”
 “Oh don’t apologize for being friendly! Though they have such nice men’s clothes here as well, who says you can’t dress your son up?”
 “He does! Haha that kid would bite my head off if I tried!” The woman chuckled though her smile dimmed slightly. “Besides, that boy is always so busy, I hardly see him. Off studying and playing basketball.”
 “Oh? Does he play for his primary school?” (Y/N) asked as the woman flipped through the racks of dresses.
 “Hmm? No dear, highschool! My boy is about to be a third year.”
 (Y/N) seemed a little shocked at hearing that but instead chose to smile. The woman looked far too young to even have a child in middle school let alone someone her age. But that was neither her business nor a definite conclusion. Perhaps she looked really good for her age.
 “That’s just like me! What school does he play for? I may know him!” (Y/N) asked trying to avoid any awkward silences.
 She could see a definite change in the woman’s demeanor. Almost as if she didn’t want to tell her and was trying to think of a way out.
 “Umm Kirisaki Daiichi.”
 “No way!? I go there!” (Y/N) suddenly studied the woman a little harder but a flicker to her name tag suddenly answered any questions. “Oh are…are you Hanamiya Makoto’s mom?”
 The woman turned sharply to face her and seemed only to grow more horrified as the two made eye contact.
 “Why the look? Has Makoto done something to you?” The woman stammered out rubbing her temples in the same manner her son did. “You knew the name right away, should I be worried about that? If he did something, I will pay for it or fix it or anything jus-”
 “No no no, ma’am! Please, I didn’t mean to make any expression, I was just stunned is all. You look nothing like him. I’m the manager for the basketball team at KiriDai, by the way.”
 She saw the woman deflate in relief, though her hands never stopped wringing.
 “(Y/N), correct!? Oh that’s such a relief! My son talks about you all the time, though please don’t ever tell him I said that!” The woman was suddenly smiling widely again as she appeared to be taking in the weary teen’s appearance. “You’ve been good for that team, you know?”
 “Oh?”
 “Good for my son, at least. He’s seemed less high strung lately.”
 “I don’t think I can take any credit for that. I just bring the team food and do paperwork.”
 “No, I see the difference. You bring you, and that’s enough. Kindness is contagious and I sure hope my boy catches some.”
 “Since I’ve met Makoto, he’s given me a purpose and place to be within Kirisaki Daiichi and that’s the kindest thing anyone could have ever done for me.”
 (Y/N) could swear the woman looked ready to burst into tears but she burst into a smile instead.
 “I’m so glad! Well now I really shouldn’t be holding you up chatting away about my little monster! Here’s the dress! What do you think?”
 (Y/N) scrutinized the gown in the woman’s hands. Looking it up and down once more she nodded her head and accepted it.
 “I think it will be perfect! I’m going to try it on!”
 “Oh dear…before you go could I…could I ask two favours of you?”
 “Umm of course.”
 “Don’t tell Makoto you saw me here. He doesn’t like his friends knowing about me or where I work. I would hate for him to become upset with me. I don’t want him to feel embarrassed.”
 The teen almost refuted her statement but decided it was best to keep her mouth shut and nod in agreement.
 “And the other favour?”
~~~~~
 “Awww why hasn’t Okamura texted me!?” (Y/N) pouted throwing herself down in the middle of the gym. “Did I come on too strong?”
 “Yes,” Hanamiya responded nudging her with his foot, to try and get her off the court. “but I doubt that is the reason you haven’t heard from him.”
 “It’s only been a day, maybe he’s busy.” Seto offered, throwing himself on the floor beside her. Hanamiya threw his hands up in exasperation before deciding to settle for half court today.
 “Or maybe it’s just because you’re ugly?” Hara quipped as he fastened the diaper on Mako securely.
 “Ugly? Bitch where?!” (Y/N) said motioning to her own face in an overly conceited manner.
 “If anyone thinks (Y/N) is ugly they should get their eyes checked!” Yamazaki called out only to be met with a subtle glare from Hara.
 The orange haired boy mouthed a quick genuine ‘sorry’ that didn’t go unnoticed by (Y/N). Still she chooses to ignore it as she arched her back off the ground to stretch.
 “Ugh no big deal if he doesn’t keep in contact. He was cute but it’s not like I was in love with him or anything. He reminded me of Takeo Gouda but maybe I shouldn’t be using anime as a guide for dating.”
 “Good morning.” Furuhashi’s voice called out as he entered the gym.
 “Where were you, I thought you and (Y/N) were gonna ride the train to school together?” Hanamiya asked wondering how the girl got there a whole hour earlier.
 “Well we were supposed to but Furuhashi wanted to prove he could do it on his own.” (Y/N) said with a laugh.
 “I made it here, didn’t I?” He responded with a small smirk.
 “How was it staying with (Y/N)? Is her room cute? Is her house big? What does she wear to sleep?” Yamazaki asked shooting off a million questions.
 “Wow, I’m literally right here.” (Y/N) said motioning to all of herself.
 “It was nice, she had me up pretty late….” The male gave a small smirk that instantly had (Y/N) shooting him a warning look. “Talking about my situation of course. So, I called Yui this morning and figured out what I’m going to do.”
 “You’re gonna tell your mom to fuck off?” Hara asked now sitting on the floor beside Seto and the manager.
 “Yui and I decided that as of right now there’s no good reason why we shouldn’t get married.”
 “What!?” Everyone other than (Y/N) exclaimed loudly.
 “Right now, a union would only be beneficial and we both seem to get along rather well. We agreed we would have a loose engagement and push the marriage back until after college.”
 “A loose engagement?” Seto asked curiously.
 “Simply, if a better opportunity pops up elsewhere…we’d like the other to take it. Whether that be a financial opportunity or an emotional one. To put it shortly if we decide we wouldn’t work out or one of us falls in love with someone, the other will call it off.”
 “An engagement with no commitments? Huh that’s kind of an oxymoron.” Yamazaki mused aloud.
 “If it works out then great. However, she’s a cute girl, I’m almost certain she will find someone to fall in love with.” Furuhashi said with a smile.
 “Or you could.” Hara offered.
 Furuhashi felt his eyes drift to (Y/N), who had gotten off the floor and was cheering on Hanamiya as he swished his 7th shot. Too fast for the boys to notice, a glimmer of amusement flickered in those usually dead eyes.
 “Yeah, maybe I could.”
~~~~~
 “How could you forget your phone charger in your gym locker?” Liu asked as the tall former captain bounced impatiently as he waited for the doors to the gym to be unlocked.
 “Nobody ever calls so I just forgot, and my phone is so outdated nobody has a charger that fit! What if she thinks I’m not interested?” Okamura practically whined to his teammates.
 “Well she’s plenty interested in you, so I doubt that’s going to be a problem.” Himuro said with an amused smile.
 “I still say she’s up to something!” Fukui added before seeing the doors to the gym open and feeling the burst of air as Okamura went barging in.
 Quite curious of what would happen the team followed the man into the locker rooms and watched him practically bust the lock off it. Quicker than lightening he shot off a text message to the girl of his dreams.
 “She’s gonna ghost you.” The blonde said in a sing-song tone.
 The tall male was about to respond when a ding from his phone pulled all his attention.
 The poor oaf never saw it coming, with his trembling hands and awkwardly small phone his fingers fumbled.
 He tried to catch it in time but without warning his chance with a cute girl quite literally slipped from his grasp. The phone clattered to the floor, shattering its screen and coming apart in several pieces.
 The whole team stood staring at the gadget broken beyond repair. Okamura breathed in deeply before slamming his locker.
 “I’m heading back to Tokyo!”
 “We don’t have any more funds for a ticket back!”
 “Then I’m walking!”
 “It’s an 8-hour drive!”
Midorima x Takao - The Wondrous Adventures of Misfortune 10
Without Him
Midorima and Kise remained together, collapsed on the ground and crying for another hour and a half. They had eventually calmed down and their sobs turned into mild tears. It didn't mean they were any less upset; it only meant that they knew they couldn't remain there forever. So, once Kise was ready to face reality, he excused himself to go to the bathroom to wash up, while Midorima remained on the floor. The green-haired male was caught between being embarrassed for his out of character action and just numb over the situation. “Midorima, come home with us. You shouldn't stay here alone.” Kasamatsu was speaking calmly and had crouched down to look Midorima in the eyes. He felt bad when he saw the devastation in his eyes and written all over his face. “You need to be around friends now and until Kazu's return.” “No. I... am alright.” The green-haired human hesitated before he abruptly stood up. He wiped at his face and shook his head. Determination now showed in his eyes alongside the sadness. “I have to stay here and wait for Takao to come back. I don't want him to return and see me not living here anymore.” “Midorima... I...” Kasamatsu wanted to argue but knew once the other human decided something, he wouldn't change his mind. “Alright, but if anything comes up or you need anyone to talk to, then call us. We'll be here for you. So, lean on us.” “You're being particularly kind today. I'm not sure it suits you.” Midorima's tone was slightly snarky, which caused the other human to smile slightly. Kasamatsu hoped that his snark returning was a good thing. He was about to respond when another voice joined in the conversation. “He's right Midorima. We'll do anything to help you. Besides, it's now my job to protect you. I have to keep you safe in place of Kazu. He'd hate me if anything were to happen to you while he was away.” It was Kise speaking now. He'd returned from the bathroom and heard the end of their conversation. “Thank you, Kise, Kasamatsu. I truly appreciate you both and your assistance through all of this.” It was pure honesty from the green-haired human. He wouldn't usually say that out loud, but he knew he needed to be truthful with his two friends. At least, at that moment he needed to be. His words caught the two off guard and had to look at each other in to make sure they actually heard what was said correctly. They weren't completely sure how to respond to Midorima being so open with them. “...You mean a lot to us both Midorima... I mean Shintarou.” The human flinched at Kise using his given name, but he didn't reject it. However, he nearly involuntarily shoved the angel away when he approached him and wrapped his arms around the human.   “What are you doing?” “Hugging you. Is that a problem?” “...Yes...” “Too bad.” Kise smiled at the human, but even though he was smiling, there were still clearly hints of sadness written on his face. He was trying hard to hide the sadness and be happy though. “Don't worry, Shin. Kazu will return to us.” With that, Kise released the human and turned to his lover. “Let's go home.” Kasamatsu looked to Midorima, who nodded his head to tell them it was okay. “Alright. Well, like I said before, call us if you need anything. Even if you just want to talk.” Kasamatsu truly wanted the human to go with them, but he'd settle for a phone call. He just wanted to make sure his friend was okay, or at least that he wouldn't do anything irrational. “I will.” The green-haired male walked the two to the door, which wasn't there. The three couldn't help but stare at the broken door. They had all forgotten about it. “...Ryouta will pay for your door.” “Thank you.” So with that, the angel and human began to walk away from the green-haired human. It was only that moment when Midorima realized that he truly didn't want to be there alone. Even so, he didn't call out to them. He couldn't tell if it was his pride that stopped him from calling to his friends or if it was something else, but he just knew it wasn't right to do. Once the two were gone out of sight, the green-haired human turned to his apartment. He took in all the damage and things he needed to clean. He was glad that Kise was able to leave the barrier up until his door got fixed since his living room was a disaster. Takao's blood was soaking into his floor and the towels full of his blood were thrown around, also soaking into the floor. The remains of the failed exorcism were spilled on the table and on the ground around it, the salt scattered around was the thing that was truly everywhere, since the demon nor human had cleaned up. That caused Midorima to realize that he as well was a mess. Drying blood covered him in various places and salt stuck to where the blood was. Midorima wanted to clean up, but his entire body felt heavy and weighed down as if he could fall through the floor any second. All the energy he once had was drained and he felt as if he could sleep for days. So, ignoring his common sense telling him to clean up, he decided to head to bed. He had to take a quick shower to rid himself of blood, but it turned into only rinsing himself off. He was way too tired to do much of anything else, however, once he was in bed, he couldn't sleep. The human hadn't even had the energy to put clothes on or dry his hair fully. He'd just gotten out of the shower, dried himself slightly and fell into his cold bed, but now he was wide awake. The thoughts of the past day flew through his head. Things he could have done differently and things that he should have realized. Every thought led him to blame himself further. He told himself that all that happened was his fault and that Takao almost dying was all on him. Even though Midorima was aware that blaming himself wasn't right, his grief was clouding his reasonable side and wouldn't let him think any other way. As the night continued on and the human remained lying still in bed, the exhaustion finally took over. As Midorima began to fall asleep, he reached out to Takao's side of the bed and grabbed a hold of the pillow the demon would use. The human pulled the pillow to his body and realized it smelled like his precious demon. The scent was relaxing to him and caused him to slip into sleep faster. While sleep overtook the human, he couldn't help but think that he'd have no dreams, but he was incorrect. His dreams were full of Takao and the times they spent together. When morning came, Midorima had to face the day. He pushed aside his feelings and cleaned up the evidence of what had gone on the previous days. While cleaning, he found out two good things. The first was that there were no lingering stains in his floors from Takao's blood, and the second was that his blood-soaked phone was fine. Apparently, it's battery just died, but once it was charged it was working like normal, so it turned out to be blood proof. As he messed with his phone to ensure it was not only clean but fully functioning like he thought, he saw he had four missed calls and a voicemail. All were from the same person, which was the man who'd fired him from the hospital he worked at before he was cursed. Seeing the calls and message honestly intrigued the male, so nearly instantly, Midorima clicked the message to hear what it was. “Hello, Midorima. I'm sure you must wonder why I've been calling, so I'll just right to the point. After some consideration, I've decided that if you want your job back, you can have it. Think about it and call me with your answer.” His boss sounded annoyed at having to make that call. He didn't seem pleased with rehiring the green-haired human, so the orders must have come from above him. To be honest, there was no thinking needed. Midorima wanted his job back. Not only his job but his life, and that's what he knew he needed to do. With his curse gone, the human knew he needed to go back to his life as he patiently waited for Takao's return. Despite having ill feelings towards the goddess after Takao's almost death, Midorima kept his promise to her and began the restoration of Yoshi's shrine. He brought his angel friends; Kise, Kagami, Himuro, and Momoi, along with his human ones; Kasamatsu, Kuroko and Murasakibara, to help fix the shrine. They made offerings together and even recruited some of their friends too. Along with that, Midorima's friends also did another job for his sake. Their second job was to ensure that the green-haired human was never able to feel alone or to feel pain. Even with as much as they tried and did for Midorima, they weren't enough. A few months passed by and even though he had his friends, job, cars and even his normal lucky life back, Midorima still had a hole in his heart. He heard nothing about Takao, even though Akashi had returned already. The demon merely said that the cleansing was taking time. He refused to say anything more and began to ignore the human's phone calls. It infuriated Midorima, but most of all, it caused him more pain. His mind kept wandering off to Takao and his feelings for the demon. Along with that, if it wasn't the past with him he thought about, it was all that could have been in the future. To make it worse, every night Takao filled his dreams. There were good dreams where Takao was never even hurt and terrible ones where his precious demon never returned. One thing was the same each morning, Takao was not in bed next to him like he wished. It was a painful way to start the day. Of course, Midorima's group of friends were well aware of the pain he carried. He might have still been his usual self on the outside, but they knew his silent suffering and were very worried about it. So, to help lift his spirits, a few of the group members decided to take Midorima out to Kise's bar to have a fun night of drinking. The group consisted of Momoi, Aomine, and Kagami, along with Kise and Kasamatsu of course.
However, it was the blond angel that was able to get the green-haired human to arrive. Midorima put up a fight since he wasn't one who usually went out drinking, but Kise had been very persuasive. That honestly only meant the angel threatened to drag Midorima to the bar by force if he refused. So, the human reluctantly showed up a little after the others. However, he didn't make himself known and was even debating on leaving without a word. Unfortunately for him, that wasn't in the cards for the night.   “Look who finally decided to show up. Thought we were going to have to drag your ass here.” The blue-haired demon was the first of the group to notice Midorima, who in response glared at Aomine. “Sorry I'm late, I didn't want to show up.” Midorima's snarky retort caused all the group members, except Aomine, to chuckle. The blue-haired male grumbled something as he turned back to his drink. “We're glad you came! I feel like it's been so long since we last saw you!” The pink-haired girl couldn't help but hug the human, much to his dismay. She was louder than usual along with slightly slurring her words. “We just saw him last week Satsuki.” The redhead noted as he pulled the lone female off the uncomfortable human. “But Tai, it feels like forever!” “Sorry Midorima, she's a lightweight and is already drunk.” The female was trying hard to struggle against the red-haired male. It was mostly just her flailing around though until she was finally pulled away from the human. “You're a lightweight too Taiga. Why aren't you drunk yet?” Aomine was amused to watch his lover try to wrangle his guardian as she tried to latch herself onto Midorima again. “Because I know how to pace myself.” Kagami might have said it, but no one there thought it was the truth since it wasn't the first time they'd gone out together. “Isn't it better to just get drunk? Don't worry, I'll carry you home.” The demon had a suggestive smirk on his face that caused Kagami's face to go as red as his hair. Aomine just laughed and ignored his lover's sputtering. Instead, he chose to reach out and pull Midorima to him, before pushing him onto the empty seat next to his left. “Are you a lightweight too? Will you need me to carry you home? I wouldn't mind if I had to. I'm sure it'd be fun.” His comment caused a chorus of different versions of his name, all sounding exasperated with the demon. “I haven't drunk much before, so I wouldn't know. Either way, I will not need anyone to carry me home.” Midorima ignored the suggestive tone in Aomine's voice and the equally suggestive smirk on his face. The human decided to not even allow the demon to say anything more, so looked to Kise. “Give me a drink. I don't care what it is.” “You could be a little nicer.” The angel pouted but went to work making a drink for the human. “Make him something with a lot of alcohol. I want to see him drunk.” It was the blue-haired demon again, causing the little group to glare at him once more. “Dai, be nice.” Momoi scolded her friend, but he waved her away. That incited her to want to attack him, leaving the red-haired male to need to hold her back again. “I'm making him something special that Kazu had been wanting me to make so he could convince Midorima to come here.” As Kise explained, he finished stirring and pouring various things into a glass. With a satisfied smile, he presented the drink to the human. “Here you go. Try it.” “What is it?” The green-haired human was skeptical as he looked at the slightly dark maroon drink. “You'll see... Well, taste actually.” Kise looked quite proud as he waited for Midorima to drink it. Despite the pressure to drink it, the human was hesitant, but in the end, he decided to test it anyway. As he sipped at the drink, his eyes widened in shock. “This...” The human was speechless and could only look at Kise with his shock filled eyes. “Yup! It's a red bean soup cocktail. Kazu was very pushy about me coming up with it. You know how difficult figuring out how to work it into a drink for you was? You should be happier.” The angel was happy enough for both of them due to his creation. “So, how was it?” “...It's acceptable...” “Can you taste all the alcohol in it? There's more in that then I'd usually put in one drink.” “So, maybe we'll see a drunk Midorima?” Aomine was smirking at the human, who just shook his head in return. “I highly doubt I will get drunk.” Well, that's what Midorima had said, but he was wrong. After a few more of those strong drinks and an unnecessarily long conversation about Takao, Midorima was too far gone. It definitely wasn't in his nature to get drunk, but he couldn't help it. Kise's creation was incredibly good and Aomine kept irritating him, causing him to drink faster. The whole Takao situation was the thing that pushed Midorima over the edge and give into drinking with the group. The human ended up drinking too much too fast. “Hey Midorima, I think you need to call down with the drinks.” It was Kasamatsu who finally spoke up to try to stop the other human. He was able to tell how far gone Midorima was since he was slightly swaying in his seat. That led to Kasamatsu, who was sitting next to him, to become worried for his friend. “Why?” Midorima took another sip and looked at his friend. The one word he spoke was not slurred, but the drunkenness was written all over his face, despite his argument. “I'm...drunk..not...” Those words were what gave away his current state. It took longer to speak and it was like he had to truly think about what he was saying to ensure it was correct, even though it ended up not being correct. “...Midorima you just...” Kasamatsu shook his head and took the drink before walking behind the counter to dump it out. He looked at his lover and spoke up again. “Ryouta, he's cut off.” “I am fine.” “No, you're actually wasted. You clearly aren't aware of this, but you're talking to an empty seat. Yukio isn't there anymore.” Aomine was trying desperately to not burst into laughter. “...I see...” “You don't. Where the hell are your glasses?” Kasamatsu was getting even more worried now. It wasn't like his friend to be so strange and he couldn't believe no one noticed his lack of glasses before then. “I may have left them in the bathroom.” With that, the green-haired male began his journey to the men's room. Along the way, he stumbled passed the already unconscious Momoi and Kagami. They were laying in random booths where they passed out a little after Midorima had arrived. Aomine had kept feeding them drinks and even got into a drinking match against his lover. Right before Midorima entered the bathroom, he decided he needed to clear his head and cool off. So, without his friends realizing, despite him bumping into tables on his way, the human left the bar and escaped outside. The chilly night air felt good to the drunk and overheating male. It also felt good to finally be away from people. He wasn't accustomed to being at any social gatherings, especially being drunk at one, not that he'd admit he was drunk. “I should get home...” He wasn't sure why he spoke out loud to himself, but it got weirder when he nodded his head in agreement with his own statement. So without his glasses and without telling anyone that he was leaving, the green-haired human began to walk home. Well, in his hazy mind he was but he was actually going the wrong way and didn't notice it. He also thought he was walking normal, but he was actually stumbling over his feet and swaying. He was venturing dangerously close to the road as every stumble caused him to go further from the sidewalk. If Midorima realized how much closer the cars suddenly looked, he didn't care. As the cars sped by seemingly feet from the drunk man, neither them nor anyone else watching cared either. It was almost like no one saw how close a person was to them as they went by. So, the human continued along, until his foot collided with a random and large rock hidden in the grass. This caused Midorima to lose his balance and stumble over. Since he was so close to the road, he ended up just falling into it. Dazed and unsure of what had happened, the human slowly stood up. It was a struggle to do so as his legs didn't want to work well and gravity seemed to want him to stay down, but eventually, both feet were on the ground, even though he was swaying unsteadily. Of course, the human paid no mind to himself standing on the road, meaning he was completely ignoring the cars coming. Not only the cars, but he ignored the cuts and gashes he now had due to his hard fall. For some reason, his impaired mind thought it was a good idea to walk to the other side of the road rather than the two feet to where he originally was walking. This caused him to walk right in front of a car, who slammed on their breaks immediately. Still, the car was about to collide with Midorima and he didn't seem to care much at all. He remained standing there in the road, blinded by the bright headlights quickly approaching him. It seemed like Midorima was about to be hit until there was a flash of black and something other than a car hitting him. Within seconds, the human was laying on his back on the cold grass. A body was pinning him to the ground and a face was far too close to his. With the lack of light, all he could distinguish from the being above him were glowing amber eyes that had worry written in them. As his eyes adjusted to the lack of light, he was able to see more of the being's face. “You know, we need to stop meeting like his, Shin.” Those words were all Midorima heard as he slowly blacked out. Along with that, the heartwarming smile he knew so well and loved so much was the last sight he saw before it all went black.
I fell in love with the HP AU and can't get enough of it! I never realized I NEEDED The Ticking Bomb Team in my life until you showed me! Haha! Can I request a scenario for this dorky team basically just being dorks during practice? Please base them off your HCS about them (Mayu being angry at everyone, Haizaki VS Kise-Takao duo, Ima being exasperated, Akashi being scary, Mura missing (in the kitchen lol). Side note: 30 asks! I hope we're not inconveniencing you. Thanks for putting up with us!
Hi dear! Sorryif it took me a while, I was so happy you asked me this! I love writing forthis Au and I continuously end up with more hcs 😂 This was really funny to write, I hope it displays well how chaotic anddangerous this team can be. Yes, it always ends up in a bloody mess.
Have a goodday!
Ps. this isbased on my headcanons about KnB x HP that you can find under #kuroko no basket x harry potter or #knbxhp hcs
 The TickingBomb Team
 “Okay guys, I’ve booked the pitch for this after-“
“Shouldn’t we wait for Murasakibara?” Himuro politelyinterrupted Imayoshi. The Captain sighed and looked them, feeling inside thatit was going to be another hellish afternoon.
He had called his first string to practicea bit before the match of Sunday, against Hufflepuff, and now they were standingin the pitch, wearing the green and silver uniforms of their House. Well, hewould have liked to train with the entire the team, but the others couldn’t surviveplaying with them for long periods and begged to be spared, so he had to giveup. Kise and Takao were chatting and joking with each other, without payingattention to him, Haizaki was swinging his own bat, Mayuzumi was seatedon the ground with a book open on his laps, uninterested in everything else, andHimuro was the only good junior faking, at least, to care.
“I’ve already sent Akashi to search for him,” Hereplied fixing his glasses, thinking about the missing beater and his preciousSeeker. The only one who could keep a tight rein on the others, despite being a junior like them.
“I bet he’s in the Kitchen,” Kise chuckled, joiningthe conversation.
“He has a fanclub between the elves,” Takao addedamused, leaning against Kise’ shoulder. “Big as much as our Himuro’s one. Howmany girls confessed to you today?” he joked with a wink.
Himuro hid a smirk and rolled his eyes.
“You two shouldn’t speak,” he reminded shaking hishead.
“Thanks. I know I’m popular.” Kise agreed proudly,combing back his shining blonde hair in his favorite sexy move. Takao burstinto laughter.
“So modest! Man, do it again!” Begged with tears atthe corner of his eyes. “I would like to take notes, Mr. I-Am-Still-Single-Because-I-Have-An-Unrequited-Crush.”
Kise pouted and jostled him jokingly.
“I don’t know what you are talking about! You’re justenvious, Takao,” Replied sticking his tongue out and crossing his arms.
“Who could ever be jealous of you, Barbie Loser?” Haizaki venomouslyasked, reaching them and looking down on the blonde. Kise narrowed his eyes andTakao straightened a bit.
“Look who’s decided to bless us with his presence,”Takao greeted annoyed, tilting his head to the side.
“There was something strange…” Kise hummed nodding,“No animal sounds disturbed our conversation.”
Haizaki’ smirk widened like a shark’s and he clenchedhis fist around the bat.
“Don’t worry, soon the air is gonna be filled with thesounds of your jaw breaking,” he threatened licking his lips.
Takao scoffed and elbowed playfully his friend.
“Heard that? I believe it was a threat.”
“I would be worried if he was capable to aim,” Kiseshot unfazed and Haizaki growled.
“Please guys. Not again,” Himuro begged tiredly,covering his eyes with the hands.
Mayuzumi raised his head to give them a quick,disgusted glance.
“Idiots,” He softly murmured, before resuming ignoringthem. His novel was far more interesting.
“Okay, okay. Since you all have energy to spare, rideyour brooms and start warming up,” Imayoshi interrupted them in his captaintone, to avoid another fight. “Kise, Himuro and Takao let’s start with simple passeswith the Quaffle. Steadily heighten the rapidity and precision of your shots.Haizaki, free one Bludger and defend them.”
Imayoshi regretted his words in the exact moment hemet the beater’s eyes.
“Haizaki don’t-” begged exasperated but the boy has alreadygrabbed his broom and bolted up.
The captain sighed covering his eyes, while hiscatchers took off too.
“Mayuzumi could you please-” he searched for help inhis roommate and classmate, but he raised a hand to interrupt him.
“Let me finish the page,” he blocked him coldly,without averting his gaze from the inked words.
“Why?” Imayoushi asked to himself, worriedly lookingup. If they weren’t good players, he would have already cursed them but…duringmatches, their thirst for victory transformed them in a professional and slyteam. Yet, when practicing, they were just a bunch of kids joking and continuouslyannoying each other.
“HAIZAKI YOU BASTARD!” Kise’s resented voice echoed inthe air, followed by Haizaki’s laughter.
The first one had miraculously avoided a Bludgercoming for his head, gently sent by his own Beater. The second was laughing athis face and searching for the flying ball, ready to try another shot.
Unfortunately, he hadn’t tracked the movements of Kise’spartner in crime.
He was still barking amused when the Quaffle hit hishead with a loud smack, nearly knocking him off from the broom.
Haizaki cursed, yelling in pain, and steadied himselfwith difficulty. His head was throbbing in pain.
“Ah sorry, you were exactly in the middle. I didn’tnotice,” Takao angelically apologized with a fake smile on his lips, while spinningaround.
“You fucker!” Haizaki growled and tried to hit himwith the bat but the other speeded away, reaching Kise for a high-five.
“Good shot!” the blonde beamed at him, proud to havingbeen avenged. “It’s a pity that idiot blocked it.”
“Guys please…”Himuro flew between them with a scowl onhis face, “Try to be a bit mature.”
“It’s his fault!” the two argued offended by hisaccuse.
“Yeah, yeah but we should train and- Where’s theQuaffle now?” he suddenly asked furrowing and turning his head left and right.
Kise and Takao exchanged a horrified look, realizingit probably fell on the ground. They hurriedly searched for the ball and frozewhen they caught sight of it. The red Quaffle was resting into Mayuzumi’shands. After having crashed on his novel, destroying the book.
“Damn.” Takao didn’t know if he wanted to laugh or toscreech terrified. He opted for something in between.
The three of them, paralyzed, watched as the older boyslowly stood up and looked for them. They could see his furious stare fromthere. Then, he picked up his bat and grabbed his broomstick.
“I was waiting for this.” Kise snorted, anticipating inboth dread and amusement the absurd change in his housemate’s behavior.
In the exact moment Mayuzumi’s feet left the ground, aroar echoed in the pitch.
“I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU MOTHERFUCKERS.”
The three catchers exchanged a scared look, paling. Hewas even angrier than usual; he liked that book that much?
“Go!” Kise pushed Takao, hurrying him to fly for theirlives, eyeing the charging Beater coming for their heads.
Unfortunately, an angry Haizaki, who had finallycaught the Bludger and who was ready to get his revenge, blocked their gateway.
“DIE!” He screamed hitting it and sending the angryball in their direction.
Kise shrilled and ducked, dragging Himuro with himbefore he could end up in the infirmary with a broken nose. Again.
Takao overturned in a swift movement and avoided ittoo.
The Bludger flew past them and nearly hit Mayuzumi inthe face, who in turn threw it back at the last second with a powerful swing.
“HAIZAKI I’M GONNA MURDER YOU IN YOUR SLEEP!” Yelledaiming at the boy’ chest, surrounded by a dark aura.
“Why you always drag me into this!” Himuro hissed exasperated,but he didn’t have the time to elaborate his complain.
“Let’s divide!” Kise urged pointing his broomstick tothe sky. He could seem worried and, to be honest, he was really scared to be crushedto a pulp by those two ferocious Beaters, yet he was used to that thrill. Itwas adrenalizing, it was interesting. It made his heart beat and his instinct gowild.
A smirk spontaneously appeared on his lips while he flewup.
“I’ll go taking back the Quaffle!” Takao exclaimed divingtowards the ground. He knew exactly what his friend was thinking and was readyfor it. He wore the same, excited and mischievous expression.
Himuro groaned, but couldn’t help himself fromgrinning.
“Why it always ends up like a survival game?” he askedfollowing Kise and avoiding to be crashed by another Bludger sent by Haizaki.
“Because you love it!” the blonde chanted, before addressinghis captain, who was still watching them from the ground, “CAPTAIN GUARD THERINGS! WE’RE GOING TO SHOOT!” he warned cheerfully waving his hand. He then hadto suddenly duck and evading Mayuzumi’s bat, not waiting for an answer.
“You’re doing what?” Mayuzumi cursed under his breathcatching up with the iron ball, “I’m going to knock off that stupid broom youand your fucking grin, before you can even reach the rings.” Growled narrowinghis eyes and neatly aiming at Kise’s head. Unluckily the blonde had the reflexesto avoid it, swerving to the left, but he didn’t surrender and started chasingafter him.
“Let’s see who scores more point!” Takao addedexcited.
“If you got hit by the Beaters, you lose points!” Himuroestablished escaping from a Bludger.
“If I hit you, I’ll damn kill you!” Haizaki roaredchasing after him.
Imayoshi from the ground looked at his players, tryingto kill or at least seriously injure each other. Haizaki and Mayuzumi weremanaging to fight each other and at the same time to strike the others.Impressive. Ah, Takao had taken back the Quaffle. He and Kise tried somehazardous passes, but as usual, they didn’t miss one. Their coordination wasincreasing. Probably Himuro’s directives helped.
Imayoshi sighed again, defeated.
Well, at least his catchers wanted to try and score.At that point, he couldn’t do anything else other than going up there too andadapt to their stupid way of playing. Serious practice had to be postponedagain.
The Captain freed the remaining Bludger and took offtoo.
 Ten minutes later, Akashi and Murasakibara entered thepitch too. The Seeker frowned at the sight of his team in the air. Kise washolding his left arm, probably broken, and whining; Takao was laughing his assoff at Haizaki’s face covered in blood and crushed nose, Mayuzumi was screamingcurses and insults at Himuro, who in the end lost his patience too and threw theQuaffle against the Beater’s chest, nearly knocking him down. Imayoshi was exasperatedlyyelling at them from his position in front of the rings, completely ignored.
“I told you it was going to end up like this…”Murasakibara mumbled, still offended about being dragged away from the kitchen.
At first Akashi didn’t answer, still frozen. Then adark, cold aura spread around him and Murasakibara wisely took a step back.
“I hope,” Akashi replied in a soft, cold voice, “they’reready for what awaits them,” he threatened with a polite smile before he elegantly jumped on his broom.
“Ah, they’re dead,” Murasakibara deadpanned while theSeeker dashed full speed towards the unaware and chaotic team.
Confessions for Kagami Taiga
You can also read this on Ao3 here
Rating: G
Fandom: Kuroko’s Basketball/Kuroko no Basuke
Pairing: Kagami/Generation Of Miacles, Kagami/Kuroko Tetsuya, Kagami Taiga/Akashi Seijuurou, Kagami Taiga/Kise Ryouta, Kagami Taiga/Aomine Daiki, Kagami Taiga/Murasakibara Atsushi, Kagami Taiga/Midorima Shintarou
Characters: Kagami Taiga, Generation Of Miracles, Kuroko Tetsuya, Akashi Seijuurou, Kise Ryouta, Aomine Daiki, Murasakibara Atsushi, Midorima Shintarou, (Mentioned) Himuro Tatsuya, (Mentioned) Aida Riko,
Word Count: 1185
Summary: At various points, the Generation of Miracles all ask Kagami out. (Kuroko obviously included-he was the sixth man after all)
A/N: It was originally just supposed to a tiny thing which I found funny and that was the part one but then I ended up doing confessions for Kagami from all of the Generation of Miracles and they kinda just became longer. Kagakuro may be my KnB OTP but I really REALLY adore GoM x Kagami. P. S. I was able to add Midorima’s ‘nanodayo’ to his sentences but I couldn't quite manage Kise’s ‘-ssu’. Sorry if the characters seems too OOC.
Oneshots
“Taiga-kun.”
Kagami choked on his Maji Burger. His eyes bulged out. Kuroko never called him anything other than ‘Kagami-kun’. Kuroko looked at him calmly, sipping on his vanilla milkshake. Kagami must have mishea- “I am in love with you.” Kagami stopped breathing in shock and fainted dead away. Kuroko continued to watch his light as if nothing happened, as if the redhead hadn't just passed out in front of him. However, there was a glint of amusement in his pale blue eyes.
~
“Taiga.”
Kagami froze then slowly, cautiously, turned around from where he stood in front of the vending machine to look at an Akashi Seijuurou who stood behind him, smiling. Though Akashi was back to ‘normal’ now, knowing there was another him that was downright scary had Kagami on edge.
This meant he felt absolutely terrified when Akashi stepped forward, forcing him to back away into the vending machine and coming way too close for comfort. He still remembered how Akashi had almost stabbed him with Midorima’s scissors that one time.
He was not expecting the kiss.
It was barely a touch of the lips, and over before he realised what it was, but it was still a kiss. He stared at Akashi with wide eyes, utterly shocked. Akashi just smiled. “Please allow me to court you.”
Kagami turned more red than either of their hair colors, “O-o-o-kay…”
~
“Kagamicchi!”
Kise was running after him. Kagami stopped to allow the blonde to catch up. “Hey, Kise. What’re you doing here?” he asked when the Kise finally arrived at his side. Kise shot him a sparkling smile, “I had a modelling job in the area and I remembered Kagamicchi and Kurokocchi like to come to Maji Burger here. And here you are! But where is Kurokocchi?” Kagami laughed when Kise pouted cutely. “Kuroko got sick yesterday because of the rain so he couldn't come today.”, he explained.
“Oh! That's good!”, Kise brightened. Kagami looked at Kise in confusion (why was Kuroko being sick a good thing?) but Kise just gave him another sparkly smile. “I really like Kurokocchi but I didn't want him around when I confessed to Kagamicchi!”
Kagami spluttered, “C-c-confess??!!” Kise hugged him tightly. “Of course, I like Kagamicchi in the romantic way!” Kagami stood frozen in surprise.
Kise grinned at how the redhead’s face was scrunched up and quickly leaned forward and planted a kiss on Kagami’s lips. “Ahhhh! Kagamicchi looks so cute! Kagamicchi, will you go out with me?” Kagami had no idea what was going on. He nodded numbly in response.
~
“Oi, Bakagami.”
Kagami looked up from where he was panting on the side of the court and rolled his eyes at the bluenette. After the Winter Cup, he would often play Aomine in one-on-one matches and this time they had played until the sun started setting. He leaned against the net and used his singlet to wipe off his sweat. “What?” He asked the other boy.
There was a strange glint in Aomine’s eyes that made Kagami pause. “Aomine?”, he asked again but the other boy did not respond, instead he just stalked towards him like a predator tracking its prey. Kagami’s throat suddenly went dry and his heart started beating faster as Aomine neared until it was pounding. He had nowhere to go and Aomine’s manner was making his ‘fight or flight’ instincts scream. But before he could move, Aomine pounced, smashing his lips on Kagami’s and pulling him into a passionate kiss.
After a heavy make-out session, they finally  pulled apart for breath and Aomine answered Kagami's previous question. “Be my boyfriend.” It was a command. Kagami would have usually rebelled but he found that hard to do at the moment and simply looked at Aomine with wide eyes and nodded dazedly. Aomine chuckled lazily; the idiot looked good like this.
~
“Kaga-chi~n.”
Murasakibara could be heard clearly from where he stood in the doorway. Kagami smiled at the childish, purple giant as he put on his oven mitts. “Just a minute.”, he replied, opening the oven to allow the delicious scent of brownies spread. Tatsuya and Murasakibara were staying over at Kagami’s for the duration of the end-of-school break and, right now, Tatsuya was out shopping.
Kagami’s and Murasakibara’s relationship had become a lot better ever since the Miracle had discovered that his baking was as good as his cooking, and now Murasakibara was always asking him for baked treats.Kagami carefully moved the brownies to the cooling rack and took the mitts off.
He turned back towards Murasakibara and smiled. "Now, just hold on for a couple of-”, he started speaking but he stopped when he found the giant's face way too close. His crimson eyes widened and he flushed, causing Murasakibara to lick his lips. “M-murasakibara?”, he asked nervously. He was frozen out of shock. Murasakibara looked at him lazily, before speaking up, “Did Kaga-chin taste the chocolate brownies before putting them in the oven?” Kagami’s brows furrowed in confusion. “Yeah, I had to make sure it tasted good, why?” He tried to step back but Murasakibara just moved closer. “That must mean Kaga-chin must taste good.”
In one swift movement, Murasakibara leaned in and captured Kagami’s lips. Kagami’s mouth fell open in shock and Murasakibara took advantage, sliding his tongue in and thoroughly exploring the redhead’s mouth while the other was too dazed to respond properly. When Murasakibara finally pulled away, Kagami just stood there, incapable of coherent thought or action.
“Kaga-chin tastes like chocolate. I like chocolate.” Murasakibara commented. Then he took in the shorter boy’s ruffled appearance with bruised lips, wide eyes and a heavy blush and came to a conclusion. “I like Kaga-chin.” He said decisively, wrapping his long arms around the redhead. Then, after a minute, “Kaga-chin, can I have the brownies now?”
Kagami could only nod in response.
~
“Kagami.”
Kagami stared, panting heavily, at Midorima who had just entered the gym where the Seirin Basketball Club was practicing before school. The greenette looked uncharacteristically flustered. Why was he here anyway? He looked over at Coach Riko who looked annoyed but nodded anyway, then he headed over to Midorima. “Hey, what's up?” he questioned but Midorima wouldn't look him in the eye. Kagami waited as the taller boy played with the tape on his fingers. He had never seen Midorima look so nervous.
“My lucky item for today is something important from a beloved, nanodayo.” he finally said. Kagami looked at his in confusion, “And?” Midorima sighed heavily. “May I borrow your ring necklace for today?” Kagami’s split eyebrows furrowed further in confusion but he handed over his chain anyway. “Uh, I guess so, but shouldn't you be more worried about your lucky item?” Midorima sighed again as he pushed up his glasses. “For once, I have to agree with Kuroko as you are, nanodayo, a Bakagami.” In response to Kagami’s indignant spluttering, he held up the ring on the chain that Kagami had given him. “ This is my lucky item, nanodayo.”
It was only after he had made it out of the gym that he heard Kagami’s loud “EHHHHHH???!!!!!”
Hii can I request Murasakibara crush hitting on him ?
i am here to offer you cute headcanons mwehehehe
Murasakibara x Reader
[Headcanons]
“Muro-chin… Am I too tall?” it was quite an unusual question considering it was coming from Murasakibara
“Well, you are the tallest here. Why do you ask?”
“Tch, never mind.”
while Murasakibara never really thinks about anything other than having a steady supply of snacks and how bothersome basketball can be, sometimes he gets agitated at the fact that Himuro is quite a popular looker himself because 1.) it’s way too noisy with people around and 2.) it does remind him that Murasakibara is universally feared by everyone and by all walks of life
he really is tired of the strange/fearful looks he gets from everyone: the little kids, his own peers, the elderly, and even some strays, but it’s something he’s mostly grown accustomed to
but recently, he’s been thinking about his physique ever since he fell a little too hard for you
since meeting you, you never gave any indication that you particularly cared about his height or limb length, but he still wonders if there is ever a chance in a million where you would actually like him romantically… like he’d admit that
it’s no surprise that he and Himuro are the default two peas in a pod everywhere they go, so every time someone would approach them, Muraskaibara immediately zones out or hobbles away to look for something interesting to do, assuming that they’re always here for Himuro
which is what he exactly thought when you approached them one day with a quite determined face (he wouldn’t zone out on you though, you’re the only exception where he’d stay to hear the conversation)
but your face immediately brightens up seeing Murasakibara, which lowkey gets his mind racing in confusion… did his heart thump a little faster? nOOoooOO what are you talking about??? that’s not happening right now, totally not…
“Murasakibara-kun!” you call out to him. “I wanted to tell you how cool you were in the Winter Cup! I actually always think you’re really captivating to watch when it comes to your basketball! If you don’t mind, if you still have upcoming practices, do you mind if I tag along? I already asked the coach and she was totally okay with it as long as I’m not disruptive, and I’ve already introduced myself to the other Yōsen teammates.”
Murasakibara blinks very slowly to process what you just said to him
“I don’t do anything but stand to defend.” You adamantly shake your head in such a cute way that he almost blushes at the sight… almost
“No way! You practically zoomed across the other side of the court so easily! Your dunks are so jaw-dropping too…!”
see, he’s not used to such positive attention that he can’t help but start mumbling, insisting that he’s tired of the sport and might quit soon, so therefore, you were “wasting your time with him”
Himuro was meanwhile standing there observing, his smile growing wider the more he sees that his suspicions were correct
he couldn’t believe it: all your compliments completely flew over Murasakibara’s head
for the next few practices you sat yourself on the bench, watching Murasakibara practice with stars in your eyes, and if someone looked really closely at you, your cheeks were tinted pink too
with his crush constantly at practice now, Murasakibara actually has an incentive to actually try and put effort into practice for you, albeit not too hard because he didn’t want to accidentally scare you if you suddenly changed your mind about his strength/looks
these actions definitely didn’t go unnoticed by his teammates; while it’s a relief that they don’t have to spend their time shoving the giant to practice, it’s a bit… weird
you’re always showering him with compliments, giving him snacks and bento boxes (not even with an excuse, just like LITERALLY straight up “I got this for you”), and always cheering him on when he does something you thought was cool in practice… you always even flock to him to give him water in case he needs it
the teammates, even the COACH herself, get a kick out of you laying it really thick on this giant and he’s here assuming you’re like Himuro and just a nice person
sometimes, you really try to send the signal by giving featherlight touches, whether it’d be a gentle brush, an encouraging pat on the back, things of that nature, but he’d just asked, “What are you doing, Chibi-chin?”
yeah, he grew comfortable enough to talk to you and give you a nickname (he’s very happy on the inside about this milestone)
pickup lines don’t work on him, he won’t get them; the best way for Murasakibara, you knew, was to give direct (but genuine! he can sense the fakes from a mile away) compliments, even if he doesn’t interpret them with romantic intentions/undertones
persistence is key when flirting with him… he’ll eventually get it, like a lightbulb would go off eventually
but he’d probably second-guess himself because he thinks that no one would really see him as desirable in a romantic sense; he’s someone to keep it to himself unless his crush makes a move
luckily for you, you’ve been someone who’s always been making the first moves since day 1
lo and behold, you ask him to a date at whatever place he wanted to go, and at first, he just thinks it’s another trip like the ones he would take with Himuro
you insist that it’s an actual date and he’s like, confused
“You’re not scared of me?”
“Why would I be?”
“Because I can take down a backboard easily, Chibi-chin.”
“You’re very gentle outside of basketball though. Besides, if I was scared, would I really go through all this effort just for it to go to waste?”
“... Why do you try for me?” He’s rubbing his neck and looking away. “Don’t you know that people who try the hardest but aren’t skilled at all annoy me the most?”
“If I annoyed you, you would’ve easily shooed me away. But you didn’t~” You definitely hit the nail on the head with this one. “So do you wanna come? It’ll be my treat, I’m serious!”
“A… date…” Murasakibara silently mouths the word, the syllables sounding completely foreign on his tongue, but you noticed what he was doing
“Oh my! That’s so cute!”
“Wh-Wha? C-Cute?! Tch, that’s… not what you call someone who towers over you and can easily crush you…”
“Still cute, though! But you’re also very handsome to me! And attractive!”
super effective against Murasakibara!
he’s unbelievably red and quite speechless, but even still, he wanted to ask the question that’s been nagging at him for a while and get it over with… how can you be so shameless and honest? that’s a mystery Murasakibara would have to solve sometime later
“Even if… I’m too tall?” (this came out way too quiet of a whisper but you heard it loud and clear, nonetheless)
“Well, I think you’re the perfect size to me! Does height really matter about whether I want to go out with you or not?” You cutely tilt your head to the side with an intentional pout while you delivered your response (you DEFINITELY know what you’re doing, you sly one)
1-HIT KO against Murasakibara!
Bonus: when Murasakibara is sitting/bent down, sometimes you draw near his face as if you’re about to kiss him, but when he expects it as such, you merely blow cold air against his temples, forehead, nose, lips… anything is fair game to you; he doesn’t know whether to tackle you to demand those kisses or stomp away like a child who didn’t get his candy
you never stop with the compliments and affection even after you both started dating; your flirtations and antics give him daily doses of serotonin
How did you get yourself here?
You remembered being dragged around by Himuro in a blur of houses until you both, before you knew it, stood before his house that reeked “high class.” Before you can muster up any form of complaint that you (sort of) thought up of when you were dragged, Himuro ushers you in hurriedly. Even when he was in a rush, his movements were elegant and fluid.
“... a-ah, Himuro-san?” was all you muttered, but you only got a closed click of his bulky front door as a reply. You turned around to face a nonchalant ravenette shedding off his outer coats before he hung them on the racks next to you.
Too nonchalant, in fact.
You weren’t that close to him enough to warrant a casual visit to his home, nor did you have any reason to come here in the first place. Yet, Himuro looked as if you two had plans for the evening but that you somehow forgot that you had an arrangement with him in the first place. Plus, and probably the most crucial part that made this entire ordeal awkward to you, was that you’re dating Murasakibara. Anyone with common sense can see countless implications when someone is alone in someone else’s house, let alone dragged into one.
“U-um…”
“(Y/n)-san,” he smoothly interjects, nodding his chin to the racks to indicate for you to take off your outer layers as well. “If I may ask you something.” You only nodded in meekness as you tapped your left feet behind your right leg, a nervous tick you’ve always had since middle school.
“Have you ever gone on a date with Atsushi before?”
“E-eh?” You shot your head up to meet his accessing eyes, which, you noted, were filled with utter amusement dancing behind his pupils. “Well… we were planning to go out tomorrow on Saturday.”
“Is that so?” Himuro said, tilting his head, his bangs following the motion. He suddenly shot his head up as he made a sound, indicating that he remembered something.
“Ah, how rude of me—we’re still here at the doorway. Feel free to make yourself at home here. There’s some snacks on the table if you’re hungry, (y/n)-san.” Himuro gently guides you to the dining room, but all you could do was stiffly plop onto one of the seats at the edge of the polished table.
“Why are we… um, here? Where’s Atsushi?” you finally mustered up the courage to speak out the most important questions prevalent in your mind.
“Don’t worry about Atsushi,” he reassured. “I simply told him that there were several local food festivals near Akita and that you were there too.”
“B-but I’m not though—”
“That’s the point,” he sighed. “I needed to talk to you, and I know you don’t talk about your relationship out in the open, so that’s why we’re here.”
“That’s…” … so many leaps of logic.
Leave it to Himuro Tatsuya for his outrageousness sometimes.
“Er, what is it you need from me, Himuro-san?”
“Just wanted to check up on you guys since it’s been almost a month since you guys became an item.” Himuro pushes the bowl of snacks from the center of the table to within hand’s reach. You note the tacky colors of the packaging of umaibo sticks, Murasakibara’s favorite, and you let out a tiny smile. Typical.
Himuro doesn’t fail to catch your change in facial expression. “I guess from that face you’re making, it looks like everything’s going well. I guess I didn’t have to worry so much after all.”
“Wh-what?” you said, breaking out of your short daydreaming. “How s-so?”
“You know how Atsushi is,” he sighed. “He’s not honest with himself and he’s not the best at talking, and personality types like yours would normally annoy him, let alone actually getting him to listen to them seriously.”
“Well, lately he’s been considerate of me,” you bashfully said, averting your eyes. “We can just, um, understand each other without talking much… but thank you for looking out for us both.”
“You said you were going on a date tomorrow? Where to, if I may ask?”
“D-d-date…” you turned cherry-red at the thought of hanging out with your boyfriend outside of a school setting for the first time. “Well, um, nothing big… we’re just um…” You paused.
“(Y/n)-san?”
“Um… going to all the local groceries and supermarkets for f-free samples.” Himuro, who had been patiently waiting for your answer with his head on his propped arm on the table, doubles over in surprise.
“Seriously? You’re not going to a café or walk around in the shopping district? Not even a park?”
“W-waahh!” You firmly shook your head “no” repeatedly as you brought up your hands to wave side to side to emphasize your point in front of Himuro. “N-no way!—there’s too many people there that are always staring because of Atsushi’s height, so…”
“Ah.”
“Besides,” you started. “He finds it annoying to deal with people too, and he wants free food, so I feel like… he’d be happy if we go for these samples tomorrow… there’s less people overall, too.”
“Let me guess,” Himuro slightly smirks. “You’re going tomorrow with super casual clothes.”
“Y-yeah, um, is there something wrong?—um, Himuro, you have a… very scary look… socanipleaseleavenow?—WAH!”
———
How did you get yourself here?
You were all dolled up and dressed up today as per Himuro’s insistence.
Yesterday evening, he dragged you again out of his house to do literal last-minute shopping for your date. You kept telling him that it wasn’t such a big deal, but you couldn’t fight back against the mischievous glint he had in his eyes. You knew that he wanted Murasakibara to have a reaction when he sees you, and deep down, you were giddy at the thought of seeing Murasakibara in your new clothes too.
But still, that cunning bastard.
As soon as the two of you returned back to his house with the bag of the purchases, Himuro swiftly pushed you to the bushes in an attempt to hide you when he saw Murasakibara stomping his way.
“Muro-chin! Chibi-chin wasn’t there at all!” he huffed.
“Ah, but I thought I saw her,” Himuro feigned, tapping a finger to his chin. “I think she probably went home, after all.”
“Tch.”
After that ordeal, Himuro finally insisted to walk you safely home and MILDLY threatened you to wear the hand-picked clothes for tomorrow. You didn’t have the voice to object at all this entire evening, but you knew Himuro only wanted the best for you.
You sighed as you tried to smooth out nonexistent wrinkles for the seventh time out of nervousness. You’re just going to some supermarkets, right? There’s nothing to be scared of. Not at all. You shop for groceries every week, so it’s not like you’re going on this date completely blind.
You fiddled with the strands of your hair, twisting and pulling it down to busy your hands. You probably ruined the hairdo you painstakingly spent an hour on, and your nervous sweating probably completely drenched you like a soaked rat. That’s what you imagined anyways.
“Chibi-chin?” At the sound of his lazy voice, you whirled around to see a cozily-dressed giant of your boyfriend. But you immediately stopped in your tracks out of self-consciousness when you saw how Murasakibara’s eyes widened completely at the sight of you. Both of you looked like deer caught in headlights. “... what are you wearing?”
“U-ummm…” you stammered. “Uh, um, we’re… on a date, r-right?!”
“Hnn,” was all he said, but from the way he pouted his lips and flickered his gaze from your figure to the side constantly, you knew he liked what he saw. His hands were jammed into his pockets, and he just stood there dumbly like a street pole while his eyes kept stealing glances at you.
This was so embarrassing, you were going to die from all the flush in your face from the curious glances from bypassers and the shy stares from Murasakibara. All you could do was stare at the floor, hoping you could disappear and teleport back to your house to change.
“Ah!...” You felt a heavy weight draped over your back as a shadow loomed over. You looked up to see Murasakibara, frowning with equally red cheeks. You turned to look at what was on your shoulders. “Is that… your jacket, Atsushi? D-did you not lik—”
He doesn’t give you time to finish because he’s tugging you along with his ginormous hand, while you were tailing behind, careful not to trip on your new shoes and not to let his jacket fall off of your body.
“... I don’t like it when other people see you like this.” You can only imagine the most adorable pout he had on his face based on the sulkiness you heard from his voice when you stare at his back.
“D-do you want me to dress like this again?”
“Hnn.”
You knew that he meant, “yes, but only for me.”
———
“Atsushi,” you tugged on his sleeve, pointing to a sample stand. “They’re giving away red-bean mochi…”
“Okay~” he drawled, always making sure that your hand was linked with his as he tugs you closer to the food.
Honestly, while your attire with Murasakibara’s absurdly huge jacket attracted way more attention than if you just took off his jacket in the first place, you felt like you were protected in a haven. You don’t know if it’s because of the oversized coziness or his scent, but all you know is that you don’t feel as overwhelmed as you normally do when you’re in large crowds. Still, Murasakibara does most of the talking for you.
“Would you like to try a sample?”
“Yup… one for Chibi-chin too.”
“Wow~ you two are a couple? You guys look so sweet together!”
“A-ah, um,” you timidly spoke out. “Th-thank yo—wha?!” Murasakibara was already tugging you away, with his other hand holding both of your samples.
“You don’t have to talk if it’s bothersome.” He looks over his back to you. “Let’s eat here.”
“Thank you, Atsushi,” you said, gently smiling at his roundabout kindness. “I’ll take this mochi.”
A giant kid and a kid half his size eating powdered flour desserts in the corner of a supermarket doesn’t sound remotely romantic on paper, but for you, it was more than enough to give you fuzzy butterflies.
“Oh, Chibi-chin,” Murasakibara called out to you. He leans down to the level of your face.
“A-ah, wh-what is it—?”
He gives you a gentle kiss before he licks off the white flour besides your open lips, all while maintaining eye contact. It only takes a few seconds for the entire moment to register in your head.
“Wh-wh-wha-what are you doing?!”
You push at his cheeks and softly beat at his chest in embarrassment in a poor attempt to gain physical distance, and Murasakibara happily smirks at your feeble efforts.
“I kissed you, obviously.”
“Sh-shhhhhh! Not so loud!” You try to muffle his mouth, but you only feel his lips curve into a wider smile at your flustering. He easily swats your hands away before he gently grips them together with his own.
“Chibi-chin, that’s so cute,” he said, with full intentions to get you embarrassed even more as he stares intently at your face.
“C-can you not?” was all you dumbly said as you tried to look anywhere but his face. As cute as you were, Murasakibara wanted your eyes on him at all times. So what does he do? He pecks your lips again.
“H-hey!! What did I just… say… um…” You hastily looked around your surroundings again.
“No one’s looking though.”
“That… that doesn’t mean you should do it out of nowhere!”
“But you’re the best free sample I’ve ever tasted.”
“Wh-wh-wh-what?!”
Murasakibara might’ve hated people like you in the past, but now, he finds utter joy in getting you absolutely flustered because of him, and him only. He can’t help that you’re too sweet for him to resist, after all.
