Headcanon:

When Peter was way younger he had difficulty pronouncing the word ‘magneto’. So to make things easier Erik allowed him to use ‘magenta’ instead. At school Peter told his good buddy Scott that his dad Magenta was a supervillain who was so powerful that even god himself would shiver in front of him.

However Scott, confused about the choice of alias, said,

For the Sexy Days of Summers Event happening right now we've invited Scott Summers (Cyclops) fans to take part in spreading more love for him out there on the internet by creating fanfiction, fanart, fan works, etc. to celebrate our favorite X-Men leader and the possibility of what if. For the duration of this challenge so far we've received some really incredible submissions with super rare pairings that are new to us. For the month of September we'd like to share some of those and also share some various fandom creations along the way in terms of content.
