So, Angel/Liam’s Irish accent is top of my list. (Mostly, because he didn’t *have* to have to be Irish, they could have had him be American when they realized David Boreonez couldn’t do accents, and it literally wouldn’t have changed anything, but that’s a whole other rant.)

He has a lilt to his voice, I will give him that, but he pronounces things very American. (“I” instead of “oiy”; hard, short ts instead of long, softer ts.) I don’t remember words being wrong, per say, but there’s was a definite noticeable lack of slang. *

(I’m going strictly off BtVS here, so it’s possible that by the time Angel the series came around, they put a little more work into it.)

Kendra is next. I will give that Bianca Larson was told the night before she was supposed to start shooting that they wanted Kendra to be “Caribbean.” But it came off very stereotypical: dropping rs at the end of words (“slayah”), and turning ths into t, or sometimes ds (“tink” instead of “think”, “da” instead of “the”). She also has some super weird inflections (“vam-PIRE” instead of “vampire”, “ken-DRA” instead of just... “Kendra.”)

My personal pet peeve is James Marsters “posh” English accent he uses when we get Spike’s back story as a human. Mostly, because a) his southern English (“Spike) accent is pretty good and b) any imperfections in his “Spike” accent can be explained contextually in the show. But his accent as human-William (which should be a more enunciated, upper-class accent) is just... “Spike”speaking in a softer tone.
