Did you follow Bama Morgan? Any opinions?
No, I didn’t follow her but the girls who do well are the girls who turn up, who seem enthusiastic to be a part of the process, who try to look nice, and who do their best to participate. Are there some girls who are failed by the process and by RFM? Yes, that’s something I can’t deny because I’ve seen it happen, but the fact of the matter is that if those girls really want to be a part of a sorority and join a sisterhood then they do COB or find another way to work on themselves and their grades and then find other ways to join or become involved with one of the chapters on their campus.
I’ve been an advisor and a rush consultant for three full years now and I’m extremely active in my sorority during the school year and outside of it and I’ve seen so many girls who rush just because their mom wanted them to or because they feel like they have to and those are never the members that people actually want. If you turn up sloppy, don’t make an effort, and seem like you only signed up for sorority rush to get something out of it then people aren’t going to want you around and you’re going to be in for a world of disappointment when you get dropped from rush.
Speaking from the experiences I’ve had this year at two schools and with more to come; each of the PNMs is encouraged not to do any posting at all, ESPECIALLY on TikTok. Several of the big national sororities have outright said that their chapters are not to extend bids to influencers, there’s been publicity that the older alums don’t like, and the craziness of middle aged women and girls the same age as the PNMs has gotten girls dropped and actually ruined their chances at some houses. If you’re told not to post and you insist on posting then you getting dropped is really your own fault. You knew the rules beforehand, you chose not to follow them, and now the consequences of your own actions have come around to bite you right on the butt.
Sororities, at the end of the day, are secret societies and I get that the OOTDs and the process to join seems fun or stressful but the fact of the matter is that that’s a turn-off for most people who aren’t influencers and for most of the older alums who donate. You’re not going to join a secret private society and make everything public and no one wants to deal with the backlash of allowing an influencer membership and then dropping her after bid day. It’s easier to drop before pref and leave it at that because every girl who goes to pref and lists each of her pref houses is guaranteed a bid and there’s no point in undoing the damage of having extended a bid and then taking it away once you realise the trouble the PNM will cause.
It’s rush, they used to take the phones of girls back in 2009 and make them go radio silent on social media, the Divine 9 sororities make their pledges stay completely quiet as well, the girls with the most success don’t tell anyone about their schedules or their plans until after rush is over, they have a bid card in hand, and they’re on their way to initiation. If you don’t want to be blacklisted then follow the rules and stick to the guidelines that the NPC put down, if you don’t want to be dropped then look at what the people around you are doing and follow their lead, if you don’t want to make a fool of yourself then make a fucking effort and be present in the moment instead of waiting to post and only sticking around to make content.

Sorority Rush Consultants: Learn more here!
Unveiling the World of Sorority Rush Consultants 1. Intro 1.1 What Is A Sorority Rush? Embarking on the journey of joining a sorority involves navigating the formal recruitment process known as rush. i am so like horribly morbidly fascinated with the american phenomenon of homecoming and the amount of proms and dresses. like in canada there’s a lot of bleed of cultural stuff from the states but we don’t have any of this to the extent you do. we have senior prom. i didn’t know homecoming was a thing until uni and that’s more like a drinking excuse. but seeing all of these gowns and the hair and the makeup and the shoes and the excess and i cannot help but think about the just massive financial cost or like burden of participating in this but also the social cost of not. you have the get a new dress and get all pretty for homecoming or else you’ll be socially ridiculed. same for prom. for like four years it seems. that’s so excessive. the pageantry the putting on just the excess of it all really. i hate it but i can’t look away i will never understand but i desperately want to i am horrified i am fascinated

The Bama Rush documentary has shown me just how much all of us want to be apart of something.
To fit into some sort of mold that’s made for us. Because being different and having individuality is scary to some of us. Individuality carries too much responsibility and requires too much confidence.

It’s so slow at work that I have time to think and I’m making myself sad! I just want to feel appreciated and have someone who wants to do lil things for me. Or take me on a date that I don’t have to plan. I want to feel that crazy lovesick feeling again but I’ve only felt it twice when it was reciprocated and neither worked out in the longterm for various reasons and I feel like I’m just not desirable, that romance isn’t meant for people “like me”.

I have literally never encountered a more unhinged and horrific way to put students into groups than "post your idea for a final project concept on this discussion board if you have one, and hope somebody else is interested and joins!"

Just finding out now about the blaseball art thing and idk if I need to do anything actively because I only contributed to at maximum like two semi famous designs and idk if they're even famous enough to be included but also very frustrating situation as a whole like... The lack of recognition and stuff is kinda why I had to step away from Blaseball art. Blaseball as a community tends to act very entitled to artists' time and work with little appreciation like they forget we're doing this for free out of love for our imaginary blorbos. So while I'm disappointed I feel I'm not surprised. Anyway if any Dale players past or present made an appearance please let me know if I need to make any Phone Calls ig
