Tumblr is now a home for updates for our beloved game's (Orion's End) development. It's a life sim in space, with adventure, danger, relationships and more.
You can find the game on Steam. Please consider wishlisting it if you are interested in finding out when it is released.
The game trailer gives a very rough idea of what the game may be like, however, there is so much more planned for the game that we just aren't ready to show off yet.

before an encounter in space, make sure you got the right ship or ship equipment..luckily i will have a lot since we can board others and take the ship for scrap or for keeps
so I am attempting to learn c++ and opengl by making a game based on asteroids (yknow the old arcade game) except open world and exploration
the plot is that there is a rogue planet off somewhere in the void between stars which is used as a sort of interstellar pit stop, where ships go to refuel and repair
years ago, a large ship broke down in the rim, far beyond any hope of repair. it has long since been picked over by scavengers, but somewhere deep inside there is a small fighter craft, perfectly preserved in the vacuum
some unknown signal reaches this fighter and reactivates the onboard AI, guiding it out of the ship
you play as this AI, piloting the ship and exploring the rings of this rogue planet. probably no real plotline for a project of this scale, just a sandbox basically
graphics are just as vectorish as the original arcade game, bc 1. it’s easy and 2. you are viewing the world through the ship’s scanners (you wouldn’t see much in a place so dark anyway)
ANYWAYS sorry for the text dump I’m just excited woop woop
