KRIPKE: I’ll give a perfect example. The residuals I get are from its airing on TNT, which you know, it gets a couple hundred thousand views. The Netflix streaming of Supernatural is consistently in the Top 10 for billions of minutes streamed. Part of that is because there’s so many episodes, but still, if you just go by how many people are spending minutes watching that show, it blows away Squid Game and blows away things that are massive hits, and I’ve gotten a total of zero residuals for that. No one should cry for me. I’m doing great. I’m not asking for any sympathy for that. I’m just pointing out the inequity. Then when you think of all the writers on my staff, who really could use that money, are in between jobs or something, that’s significant. The fact that [streamers] can just live in this sort of new media disruptor black box and not pay what other networks are paying doesn’t seem fair

"You have to understand, Sam", Y/N cried following down the bunker's steps behind a furious Sam, "If I hadn't done what I did, that person would be seriously hurt".

"And you could have been seriously hurt if i hadn't noticed that werewolf? Did you think about that?", Sam asked, anger laced in his voice.

"Come on, isn't saving people part of the job description? I was doing just that", Y/N replied, irritation seeping into their voice, unable to see the worry and fear Sam had hidden in his eyes after seeing the love of his life almost get killed.

"I can't do this right now", Sam mumbled before turning away and heading towards his room.

"Why not?! Sam!", Y/N exclaimed but Sam ignored them and closed his bedroom door.

Y/N let out a sigh and sat down at the bunker table, running a hand through their hair in frustration.

Sam was back in his room, his head filled with the visions of that one werewolf leaping towards his partner ready to kill them. But then Sam questioned himself, what if I was in their place? What would I have done?

In the morning, Sam woke up to an empty bed but with his anger gone. He entered the bunker's main room, only to find Y/N fast asleep with their head on the table causing a small smile to grow on Sam's face. Y/N stirred in their sleep before waking up and looking in Sam's direction, a frown instantly making its way on their face.

"I'm really sorry about last night", Y/N apologized, reaching out to kiss Sam but he hadn't noticed. Sam had already forgiven them but when he noticed Y/N's reaction after he didn't kiss them, he tried his best to stop an amused smirk from growing on his face.

"I'm going to go help Dean", Sam said, not looking at Y/N causing them to let out a sigh.

It had been hours since Y/N had apologized and whenever Y/N tried to kiss him, he dodged it by standing taller and not bending down to reach their height. Y/N had finally had enough, and they were currently walking through the bunker's corridors with a giant box in their hand.

"What are you doing with that?", Dean asked, confusion laced in his voice, but when he didn't get an answer he curiously followed behind Y/N.

Y/N walked upto Sam, box in hand, causing him to give them a weird look. They placed the box in front of him and stepped on top of it, grabbing hold of Sam's face and kissing him. Their lips moved in perfect sync, causing a content smile to spread on both of their faces while Dean looked at them with utter joy.

Once they broke the kiss, Y/N spoke up, "You wouldn't bend down to kiss me, so well I took the matter into my own hands".

"Oh yeah, I gotta be honest. I was just doing that because you made an adorable face when I didn't kiss you", Sam admitted, a sheepish grin on his face.

"You idiot", Y/N chuckled, lightly hitting his arm.

"You're both idiots. Idiots in love", Dean muttered, shaking his head and walking away from the lovely couple, happy that his brother had found his perfect person.
