Spyro Year of the Dragon - Happy 24th Anniversary! by Mast3r-Rainb0w
Happy 24th Anniversary to Spyro: Year of the Dragon (a.k.a. Spyro 3), which released back in 2000, and ever so fittingly on the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Dragon! Here's some fanart of gaming's greatest purple dragon riding his radical skateboard with a traditional Chinese-theme for the background! Enjoy!
“The speedways are back, but they have a new twist. Now, they are a race...yey... I don’t like that concept that much, even tho this game does have my favorite speedway of the franchise. This is a very pretty level, and the race itself is quite tolerable. Yes, you can play your classic speedways, but they are so forgettable in this game, that the races (and the extra mission) standout way more...for better or for worse...”
PS: the gameplay used for this gifset is not mine. The original video belongs to the user: Thabeast721, on Youtube.
As a kid, I had a hacked copy of Spyro 3, and one of the anti-piracy features of that game was that it would randomly change your language and hide the option to change it back. You could change it back, but it was difficult and not really worth it, so I played the majority of the game alternating between French and Spanish. I actually ended up learning a decent number of words that way.
Now 20 years later I'm trying to learn Spanish properly with my partner, and we intentionally changed the language on the reignited trilogy to practice. Funny how things come full circle.
