The Last Supper, but Judas makes it weird.
Weirder than betraying God, that is.
___
JOKE-OGRAPHY:
Jesus originally just says that one of His apostles will betray him. In this cartoon, He specifies that the one who's invading His personal space is the betrayer. John and James (to Jesus's right and left) both recoil at the thought and start arguing with the others about who could betray Jesus. Meanwhile, Judas coyly says it couldn't be him. Thomas presses "X" to doubt that.

Saint Andrew the Apostle
1st Century
Feast Day: November 30
Patronage: Scotland, Ukraine, Russia, Sicily, Greece, fishermen, rope-makers, golfers and performers
Saint Andrew is honored with the title of Protoclete or “first-called”. He was a disciple of John the Baptist, when John pointed to Jesus saying “Behold the Lamb of God!” from then on he followed Jesus. Peter, his younger brother and Andrew were fishing, when Jesus called them telling them that they would be “fishers of men”. Andrew brought to Jesus’ attention the boy with the loaves and fishes when they were multiplied. He was present at the Last Supper and preached the Gospel in Greece and Turkey. He was crucified at Patras, bound to an X-shaped cross.

Old St Andrews Church, North Berwick
Ye cannae knock the folk of East Lothian, find a good name and stick to it.
Much like my last post this Auld St Andrews Kirk is also in ruins, and there is another one to come!
This ruin is "only" about 350 odd years old, it was built on Kirk Ports, south of the High Street, and opened in 1664. This one remained in use until 1883 when a new parish church of St Andrew Blackadder was opened on the High Street.
The most interesting information about this Kirk is that a local Minister, Reverend Blackadder, who was a Covenanter, is buried here. Blackadder. He was arrested and imprisoned in 1681 and died in jail on the Bass Rock.
Fans of the BBC comedy show, Blackadder will be amused to know that there is another "connection" with the show. A local religious figure named Baldred has two churches named after him, one St Bladred's is in the town, the other is on the aforementioned Bass Rock.

St Andrew’s Day
St Andrew’s Flag. Source: Traditional Scottish Recipes website
Today is St Andrew’s Day, the feast day of the patron saint of Scotland. Andrew was one of the original Apostles and is rumoured to have been killed during the Roman Emperor Nero’s persecution of the very early Christians. According to legend, when the time came for his execution, Andrew refused to be crucified on a cross like Jesus. Out of respect for his Saviour, Andrew persuaded the authorities to let him die on an X-shaped structure. And so the X-shaped cross became the symbol of St Andrew and is the explanation for the white diagonal cross on a blue background that comprises the Saltaire, the national flag of Scotland. Andrew’s first connection to Scotland is alleged to have been in the eighth century when his X symbol appeared in the sky to King Angus of the Picts before he went into battle. Following his victory, Angus adopted the Saltaire as the flag of the Picts and, later, Scotland.
In former times, St Andrew’s Day was associated with feasting and animal slaughter - combining the festivals and rituals of the later northern harvest with the need to lay down food supplies for the coming winter. The day was also sometimes called Andermass, a day in Scotland for squirrel-hunting, although this practice was often a cover for pheasant poaching and the little fluffy tailed creatures were often left unharmed - unlike the lord of the manor’s pheasants.
