not to be thinkin abt steelhacker during the steelvixen goodbye but that line amaya says abt her not wanting to lose the only part of nate she's allowed to keep, her memories of their time together versus the end of s4 being nate quite literally forgetting abt zari 1.0's existence n being left with that void of knowing smth is missing but not knowing what

#alli says shit #i always love steelvixen and this goodbye scene is so heartbreaking #but i think that's a weird glimpse into like. a different way their story ended #where amaya did get memory-flashed n forgot the legends and always had that nagging feeling smth was missing #like it'd be so fucking devastating

I think the reason I don't really hardcore ship any of Behrad canon ships is because when he likes someone they write him like Nate when he was in love with Amaya. Like Nate would just insert him self into Amaya stories and life and the show would tell us it's romantic. Like....okay?

Like Behrad just started treating Charlie and Astra very differently after it's made explicitly clear he likes them. Like those two characters haven't been superhero for a while now and really need to be protected all of a sudden. And yes he's a caring character and I think Charlie and Astra would work well in relationships where the other person is gentle / soft with them. But Charlie and Astra make it clear they don't like it.

So I'm never sure how to feel about those plot points

Remember before Nate and Amaya got together the first time? How at the end of 2x05, Todd made a comment to Amaya about his relationship and finding love, and then Nate immediately walked up? And then they got together in canon?

That's literally what just happened with TK, Buck and Eddie. (They just haven't gotten together officially yet.)

Okay, this is historical, Quarantine Anon. Because I’m actually going to accept a Steelvixen parallel (at least Buck and Eddie have had seasons worth of build-up. Wish i could like Nate as much as everyone else, but the show has been over for a year now and i still don't like or care for him. And it sucks because he ends taking up and sharing a lot of scenes with my favorite characters so its hard to ignore him. Honestly wish they stuck with the plan to kill him off in season 4.

could probably write a whole essay on how his character is a prime example on how the lot writers prop the white characters so much (and the fandom) even at the expense of the non-white characters sometimes.
