FINALLY!! I've been super busy, but I can finally sit down and just enjoy myself. I'm watching both episodes- episode 6 tonight, and episode 7 either tonight or in the morning.

Wow, what an episode. Overall, good!! Lots of action, character arcs are moving towards resolution. Didnt love some of the side commentary, especially those couple weight jokes. That was tasteless and unnecessary. But generally things are falling into place. I cant wait to watch episode 7!

I've wanted to do this for a long time now, and seeing that rant Shyn just posted makes me feel today is the best time to do it.

Everyone who interacts here, there is one thing we should keep in mind. For most writers, writing is therapeutic. They write to heal. Some scenes are played out the way they are because the author has experienced the same and desperately wish to change the outcome at least once. Some healed relationships are written the way they are because the writer needs at least someone, albeit fictional to jump and reach the other side, only to feel the emotion of second hand success. Some are depicted showing people helping others because the writer may not have been, but wanted someone else to be helped.

First and foremost, they write to mend their own broken selves.

Secondly, reading is a privilege.

We are privileged to be a part of the author's journey of self healing and perhaps heal our own selves a little. Respect that.

Then about the asks. Make sure you comprehend that this isn't twitter or instagram where you can call stephanie meyer shit and have people support you for it. There is a huge distance between the authors and some of your posts. Asks don't work that way. Here, the person is just on the other side of the window. There is no distance. And that makes it more vulnerable and personal, because the sender knows. They know that the author is definitely seeing that.

You have no right to abuse your privilege that way. If you dont like it, move along. There are others waiting in line.

I feel like there is this thing where people think I am immune to hateful thoughts when actually it's the opposite.

Every ask I read, everything you say to me , it leaves an impact on me. I am seriously seriously considering that I should stop interacting here altogether.
