Turn icons to .dll
One of my goals today was to figure out how to turn a folder of icons into a .dll (Dynamic Link Library) /(・ω・)/
In the context of my random icons, you might create a DLL file that contains custom icons for use in various applications or the operating system's user interface - for my problem, I wanted to change folder icons but I wanted to group them into one file, rather than having a folder or .zip file etc. I figured that since the default Windows icons are in a .dll, I could make the same file but for the icons I like using~!
I saw online a C++ way of making .dll but I'm not into C++ like that so looked for another way! Resource Hacker does all the C++ coding for you but it does the whole merging for you! Now when I click a folder/application > Properties> Customise > Folder Icons, I click my .dll file and all the icons pop up!
That's all I wanted and I'm happy! 😋👍🏾
