so, to better help figure out how i'm running this..
you can use either puppets, characters, creatures, OCs... whatever. then send that to me so i can turn that into a Grumpus, or Bugsnax, as i see fit. {will be stylized according to my vibes}
requirements: reference image and name. preferably also the fandom name if that's what you're doing.. optional: specific food to turn into a bugsnak along side it, specific character to replace, specific details to have.. anything else you think about.
have fun! and if it takes me a while, i might be struggling to figure out how exactly to do something.
down below is a list of locations, characters, and also how the bugsnax are sorted in the game.
Character Types
Filbo- a skittish mayor trying to do his best.
Wambus- a farmer with a cactus facsimile of his wife.
Beffica- a gossiping gal with slight trust issues.
Gramble- a sleep deprived rancher that sees bugsnax as his family.
Wiggle- a music star trying to find her next hit of inspiration.
Triffany- an archeologist figuring out what happened to her grandma.
Cromdo- a sleezy salesman searching for his big money maker.
Chandlo- a surfer dude sweetheart looking out for his partner.
Snorpy- a nervous conspiracy theorist that made all the inventions.
Floofty- an experimental doctor seen as an untrustworthy being.
Shelda- a religious hypocrite hiding her true self behind her beliefs.
Eggabell- a doctor always trying to be better than she thinks she is.
Lizbert- the missing explorer.
Journalist- the player, the one here to help sort through the problems.
Clumby- the boss that's not letting on with how much she knows.
Alegander- a lonely, slightly bitter, being. with one snak he's dubbed his friend.

wooo!! bugsnax oc :D
this is dusty oddball, he uses he/they pronouns & his gimmick would be paleontology... but not really. he's a paleontologist in the sense that "oh, yeah, i'd love to tell you about my field n all but uhh... you'd totally not understand like half of what i'd be telling youuu..." while being just one year fresh out of high school LOL!!!
theyre intended to be a chimera, sort of like what can happen in cats (like when a cat is black with a grey tail (keep in mind i may be wrong, im no genetics expert and im certainly not confident in my knowledge of cat genetics)), which is why they're both beige and teal!
they'd be in sizzling sands which, in my opinion, feels kinda empty compared to the other areas. like sugarpine woods is a nice little quaint forest, flavor falls has interesting terrain, garden grove might be small but it does have a lot of charm in a way, scorched gorge is chaotic but in the good way, simmering springs is relaxing, and boiling bay is volcanic!!! but then sizzling sands...? ehhh... ummm... there's... shelda. and preying picantis (1 of my fav snaks but like whatever). and mothza's temple..?
imo its kind of empty so i'd have placed dusty in sizzling sands with a mild rework of the terrain around where the buffalocust flies. behind the hill would be where dusty is, with some very basic tools like a brush, shovel and chisel, sort of like those "dig your own fossils!" sets that some ppl might know (i remember love-hating them as a kid), but ya know, properly sized haha
i made them friends with beffica because i was coping about starting to like her LMAO
ok anyway thats it. bye. bye. bye. bye. b

Oh jeez I didn't think of it happening while he was asleep. I don't know what's worse, them waiting for sleep walking Gramble to enter the forest and swarming him while he's asleep where he either never wakes up or wakes up to that nightmare, or him following his little ones who he thinks want to show him something because he finally earned their trust and love.
It’s 2 AM as of now, the moon hanging high on the sky like a bright white guiding light for the nightlife of Snaktooth Island. In the middle of Sugarpine Forest, leaves rustled and twigs cracked underneath the feet of a short, pink grumpus, his eyes shut closed and his arms held out in a zombie-like stance.
Poor Gramble always was a sleepwalker, and, despite having followed Wiggle’s advice of tying himself down before bed, has managed to squirm out of his restraints. Or, perhaps, they had purposely been loosened.
But Gramble’s little expedition had been cut short when he stumbled right into a tree, smashing his nose against the bark. He awoke with a pained shout and rubbed his eyes, blinking hard as he adjusted to his new surroundings.
“Not again!” He whined, spinning in a circle. “But I even tied myself down! How’d I end up out here?!”
A gurgle snapped him out of he reverie, and cold, slimy masses wrapped around his waist, lifting him high off of the ground.
Gramble hadn’t even time to scream for help before Bugsnax began to crawl up his legs and cling to his clothing, aided by his assailant, a massive beast so similarly shaped like a grumpus, yet so horribly wrong...
The taste of Bugsnax were a forbidden fruit, but their taste meant nothing to Gramble even as they forced their way down his throat. He never would’ve eaten one of his kin voluntarily.
It’s 4 AM as of now. Sugarpine Forest remains as quiet as ever. There were no more snores or soft murmurs to be heard, except for the skittering of the feet of Bugsnax that hadn’t been there two hours ago.

Faulkner Architects tucks Forest House into wooded site near Lake Tahoe
Concrete, steel and glass define the exterior of this California holiday home by US firm Faulkner Architects hidden in the trees of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
The Forest House is located in the town of Truckee. The two-storey dwelling sits on a gently sloping, two-acre site near the north shore of Lake Tahoe.
The dwelling is in Truckee
Rectangular in plan, the home was designed to minimise its impact on the site, according to Faulkner Architects, which has offices in both Truckee and Berkeley, California.
More than 100 tall trees – including Jeffrey and sugar pines, and white and red firs – encircle the dwelling.
Forest conditions inform the house's colours
For the facades, the team paired board-formed concrete and reflective glass with an ebony-hued steel rainscreen.
The screen is made of angled slats, spaced one inch (2.5 centimetres) apart, and is meant to resemble the texture and function of tree bark.
On the south elevation, the team incorporated long, covered decks, which offer a place to relax and take in the scenery.
Decking provides easy access to the scenery outside
The home's main entrance is on the north, where a pathway leads to a recessed front door marked by a green-glass panel. A similar panel was used in the foyer.
"Translucent green-glass screens bathe the entrance in a colour that associates with the tone of the surrounding evergreen forest," the team said.
The ground floor houses both public and private areas. The central portion holds an open living and dining area, and a kitchen that flows into a family room. The western portion contains the main suite, while a study and garage are located on the east side of the plan.
The open living space
Centrally placed stairs lead to the upper level to the three bedrooms. In total, the home encompasses 4,500 square feet (418 square metres).
Rooms feature neutral colours, contemporary decor and earthy materials. Reclaimed teak wood was used for floors and ceilings, while walls are formed of exposed concrete and white gypsum board.
The main suite has a metal fireplace
In the main suite and living room, the team installed fireplaces with metal surrounds.
"Polished, galvanised steel panels at the fireplaces reflect images and movement of the inhabitants throughout the day," the studio said.
Playful skylights illuminate the house
Light fixtures and fire sprinklers are concealed with thin recesses in the ceiling. Large skylights funnel natural light into the dwelling.
"Three-dimensional skylights wrap from the roof down the wall, allowing light to pour in and offering views to the stars at night," the architects said.
A view of the skylights from outside
The home is designed to be durable and low-maintenance. Moreover, enhanced glazing and a radiant heating system help with energy efficiency.
Formed by Greg Faulkner in 1998, Faulkner Architects has completed a number of homes in wooded settings. Others include a holiday home in Sonoma Valley that resembles a barn and a dwelling just outside of San Francisco wrapped in weathering steel.
Photography is by Joe Fletcher.
