a note for swifties doing their first record store day (from someone in aotearoa/new zealand and is doing it right now, april 22)

get there BEFORE doors open, i cannot stress this enough. i went to two record stores and they both were sold out of the folklore lps recordings within 10 minutes of opening. get there & then immediately run to the record section because aotearoa is not a big country & the city im in has a bit over 1m people and we still sold out of all the rsd taylor exclusives in less than 10 minutes.

also with that being said don’t like actually push people or be a dick because like, people’s well-being is actually more important than any vinyls you could get.

Loving someone who loves someone else is a really painful situation to be in, because the truth is that you can't change that, no matter how hard you try. So, I think the first step is to fully accept it and give up.

Then, in the process of getting over it, you have to allow yourself to feel your feelings. Maybe the logical voice in your head will be saying: "oh but why are you so affected? You two never even dated, you're acting so dumb", but your feelings are totally valid. Cry, rant to a friend, write about it, make a sad playlist, do whatever helps you get it out.

And, one more thing: don't blame yourself for the situation you're in. Don't go "it's my fault for falling in love with them, I'm dumb". I promise it's not your fault and things will get better.
