these vary from: Tour gone wrong, science fair/convention volunteer demonstration gone wrong, wrong place wrong time. Ya girl is just phenomenally unlucky.

i resisted the temptation last time but no more. spider-sona time (more like spider oc but)

plaintext lore under the cut:

-from Earth-237, where NYC has been turned into a no-man's-land by a Klyntar invasion

-1/2 symbiote named Maw, 1/2 jaded human nicknamed Host

-Maw was reverse-engineered by Curt Connors to eat symbiotes

-Maw & Host bonded, rebelled & became Spider-Man after Eddie Brock's death

-they fight the Klyntar army & rogues assimilated into it; have tenuous alliances with others like Doc Ock

-Maw resents other symbiotes/ is curious about humans & vice versa for Host

-Host has "I can only interact with people as a hero" syndrome and hates showing their face

-Maw supplies the attitude morbid humor (+ is an absolute puppy dog) while Host supplies the logic + is ironically the scary one

-seems like an average-albeit-edgy Spider-Man until Maw gets hungry :-)
